President Trump is threatening retaliatory measures after Colombia denied entry to a pair of U.S. military deportation flights. The flights involved two C-17 aircraft, which were carrying about 80 Colombian migrants each from California. In response, Trump announced Sunday on truth social sweeping measures, including tariffs on Colombian imports, visa sanctions on government officials, and increased customs inspections and financial penalties. The flights were grounded after Colombian President Gustavo Petro revoked all diplomatic clearances for the aircraft. Last week, Mexico temporarily blocked two U.S. planes with 80 passengers each from landing. Elon Musk is telling Germany to move on from their country's past mistakes. Musk made a surprise speech Saturday to the far right political party known as alternative for Germany. Musk spoke about preserving and embracing German culture while forgetting the country's past. The billionaire took it a step further and said he thinks German people are too guilt ridden over the atrocities that occurred during the Holocaust. Vice President J.D. Vance's lower prices are coming, but Americans may have to wait a bit. Vance told CBS's Face the Nation that the Trump administration has already implemented measures aimed at reversing inflation. Prices are going to come down, but it's going to take a little bit of time, but the president has been president for all of five days. Donald Trump has already taken multiple executive actions that are going to lower energy prices, and I do believe that means consumers are going to see lower prices at the pump and at the grocery store, but it's going to take a little bit of time. Vance insists the administration is working to increase the number of American jobs and improve domestic energy production, both of which he says will eventually cause the cost of living to decrease. Southern California is bracing for more rainfall and potential mudslides. A flood watch is in effect through Monday evening and Los Angeles County Public Works is preparing for possible mudslides. I'm Lisa Carton. Following the Senate's vote to confirm former South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem as Homeland Security Secretary, she resigned her former post. Lieutenant Governor Larry Rodin now becomes governor. In her resignation letter, Noem called it a privilege to serve the people of South Dakota. The Senate voted to confirm Noem for Homeland Security Secretary by a vote of 59 to 34 on Saturday. Noem will oversee 22 agencies with more than 260,000 employees who work on issues ranging from the border to federal disaster management to the Secret Service. Former Fox News host Pete Hagg-Seth is now in charge of the Pentagon. Hagg-Seth was officially sworn in as Defense Secretary Saturday Morning by Vice President J.D. Vance. I want to thank the President of the United States, our Commander-in-Chief, Donald Trump. We could not have a better Commander-in-Chief than him. The ceremony took place just 12 hours after Vance was forced to cast the tie-breaking vote in the Senate. Three Republicans voted against his confirmation as did all 47 Democrats. It's only the second time in history that a Vice President has had to act as a nomination tie-breaker. Retailer Target is the latest big company to end its diversity, equity, and inclusion programs. Rob Bartier explains. The Minneapolis-based retailer announced the decision in a memo to employees on Friday. According to CNBC, the memo cited the importance of staying in step with the evolving landscape to help drive growth and serve its millions of customers. With the move, Target joins companies like Walmart, Meta, and McDonald's in dropping DEI related pledges and goals. I'm Rob Bartier.
