President Donald Trump is defending his late night purge of 15 inspectors general independent government figures charged with rooting out fraud, waste and violations within their own agencies. White House officials confirm over a dozen of them were fired Friday night because they don't align with the new Trump administration. Trump defended their removal last night calling it a very common thing to do. Authorities in South Korea have now indicted impeached President Yun Suk-Yul on charges of insurrection. Yun's been formally indicted for allegedly leading an insurrection in December when he briefly imposed martial law in the country. The New York Times reports Yun's indictment means his trial is likely to start soon. State media in North Korea is reporting that country's militaries conducted a strategic cruise missile test Saturday. K CNA reports North Korean leader Kim Jong-un was on hand for the underwater to surface missile test. The report says the missiles traveled 932 miles and hit their targets. The missile test come just a few days after President Trump said he plans to reach out to the North Korean leader. Target stores are now the latest large US company to end their diversity, equity and inclusion or DEI programs. The Minneapolis base retailer announced the decision in a memo to employees on Friday. According to CNBC, the memo cited the importance of staying in step with the evolving landscape to help drive growth and serve its millions of customers. With the move, Target joins companies like Walmart, Meta and McDonald's in dropping DEI related pledges and goals. I'm Rob Bartier. More US troops have arrived near the border of Mexico as part of a crackdown on immigration. The Pentagon said last week at least 1,500 troops would be sent to the southern border in El Paso and San Diego. A second deployment of soldiers arrived in El Paso Saturday. I'm Scott Carr saying he now wants his accusers to feel the heat a former leader of the American white nationalist group, the Proud Boys and Ricci Tario is speaking out after his conviction on charges of organized sedition against the United States was dismissed through a pardon by President Trump. We get more from Lisa Taylor. While not condoning the violence against police on January 6, 2021, Tario says fellow convicted J sixers deserve to be free. The process was flawed. The plot process was corrupted. Therefore, there was no other option, but to pardon and commute the sentences of those that did those actions. He maintains he the Proud Boys and American Patriots did nothing wrong, but some might have been violent. I'm Lisa Taylor. Police in West Palm Beach, Florida, say they've now arrested a man who allegedly made threats on social media, including threats to kill President Trump. Jim Forbes has details. Police got a tip on January 19 that Shannon Adkins made threats against Trump on Facebook. Police said the threats were quote violent rhetoric, political views and his opinion aimed at the president. Adkins was arrested Friday night near his West Palm Beach home and was found with three baggies of cocaine in his pocket. Adkins faces one count of written or electronic threats to kill do bodily injury or conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism, a second degree felony and charges a possession of cocaine, according to a release from the West Palm Beach Police Department.
