This is your 24/7 News Update, the latest news this hour in just four minutes. President Trump is defending the late-night purge of 15 U.S. inspectors general, independent government figures charged with looking for fraud, waste, and violations in their agencies. In a social media post, Trump says their removal is a common thing to do, and that some people in Trump's words thought they were unfair or not doing their job. We get more from Chris Caragio. A senior White House official confirmed the news, saying they were fired because they don't align with the new Trump administration. Inspectors general are typically independent figures in the government tasked with conducting objective audits of their agencies. Of course, Caragio for female Israelis held captive by Hamas since October of 2023 are now back in Israel. Kia is recalling over 80,000 of its narrow vehicles for issues with its seat belts and airbags. Federal safety regulators say adjusting the front passenger's seat could cause serious safety risks by damaging the wiring which controls the features. They say it could prevent airbags from deploying properly during a crash. Under a recent order by President Trump, official U.S. documents will now have to be republished with the name Gulf of America, replacing the Gulf of Mexico. While Mount Denali in Alaska will be given its old name back of Mount McKinley, Brian Schook has more. The federal government is implementing name changes under a directive from President Trump. That includes reversing an Obama-era decision to rename Mount McKinley in Alaska to Denali. Denali is the name that local natives used. Meanwhile, former President McKinley never visited Alaska. The Interior Department says the name changes are effective immediately for federal use. I'm Brian Schook. Its aid beauty is recalling more than 2,700 jars of its ultra repair cream. Company officials say 14-ounce jars of the ultra repair cream coconut vanilla meant for quarantine were mistakenly sold on the company's direct-to-consumer website, FirstAidBeauty.com. The FDA calls it a "class 2" risk, meaning use or exposure to the cream could cause temporary negative health effects. The creams were sold in jars with the expiration dates of April 10th and 11th of 2026.
