This is your 24/7 news update, the latest news this hour in just four minutes. After the most recent mid-east hostage release another problem with the process, four female Israelis held captive by Hamas since October of 2023 are now back in Israel. The four soldiers were released Saturday in exchange for 200 Palestinians held in Israeli prisons. Soon after the release, the Israeli Prime Minister's office said Palestinian civilians would not be allowed to move back into their homes in Northern Gaza as planned because an Israeli female civilian that was supposed to be released Saturday was not among those freed. President Trump says he wants Egypt and Jordan to take in Palestinians who were displaced by the war in Gaza. Trump spoke to reporters on Air Force One late Saturday and said he had a phone call with King Abdullah II of Jordan and told him quote, "I'd love for you to take on more because I'm looking at the whole Gaza Strip right now and it's a mess." Trump said he would also be talking with the Egyptian president later today. President Trump has fired at least a dozen inspectors general in the federal government. Chris Caragio has more. A senior White House official confirmed the news saying they were fired because they don't align with the new Trump administration. Officials say the legal justification of those firings is murky at best, especially since Congress strengthened protections for inspectors general from undue terminations in 2022. Inspectors general are typically independent figures in the government tasked with conducting objective audits of their agencies. I'm Chris Caragio. And a beauty company is recalling more than 2,700 jars of skin cream. First Aid Beauty says 14-ounce jars of ultra-repair cream coconut vanilla that were meant for quarantine were mistakenly sold on the company's direct-to-consumer website. The FDA has classified the recalled product as a "class 2 risk." That means use or exposure to the product could cause temporary negative health effects. I'm Jim Forbes. South Dakota Governor Christy Gnome, who gained a national spotlight during the coronavirus pandemic, was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on Saturday to lead the Department of Homeland Security. Lisa Carton has more. Following the Senate's vote to confirm former South Dakota Governor Christy Gnome as Homeland Security Secretary, she resigned her former post. Lieutenant Governor Larry Rodin now becomes governor. In her resignation letter, Gnome called it a privilege to serve the people of South Dakota. The Senate voted to confirm Gnome for Homeland Security Secretary by a vote of 59-34 on Saturday. Gnome will oversee 22 agencies with more than 260,000 employees who work on issues ranging from the border to federal disaster management to the Secret Service. I'm Lisa Carton. The NFL's Championship Sunday will determine which teams will face off in Super Bowl 59. At 3 p.m. Eastern, the Washington commanders will take on the Philadelphia Eagles for the NFC Championship. The Eagles beat Washington in November, while the commanders took down Philly in December. Then the Kansas City Chiefs will host the Buffalo Bills for the AFC Championship at 6.30 p.m. Eastern. The Bills and Chiefs played each other in November with Buffalo walking away victorious. A tough scene in Milltown, New Jersey where no Groundhog means no Groundhog Day festivities for the fourth straight year. Danny DeCrencenzo has more. It's all because state law has prevented town organizers from legally obtaining a replacement for local Groundhog, Milltown Mill. Since Mill passed away shortly before Groundhog Day 2022, the town has not resumed celebrating the holiday and confirmed they would not do so again in a Facebook post on Friday night. Organizers did add they were working with a state lawmaker on a solution that hopefully would be done in time for next year. And American Madison Keys is the 2025 Australian Open Women's Tennis Champion. That's the latest. I'm Jim Forbes.
