Johnson is asking the president to speak to both chambers of Congress in March to share his "America First" vision for our legislative future. Johnson said, quote, "America's golden age has begun and the country is already experiencing a resurgence of patriotism thanks to President Trump. This would mark Trump's first joint address to Congress in his second term. President Trump has fired at least a dozen inspectors general in the federal government. Chris Carojio has more. A senior White House official confirmed the news, saying they were fired because they don't align with the new Trump administration. People say the legal justification of those firings is murky at best, especially since Congress strengthened protections for inspectors general from undue terminations in 2022. Inspectors general are typically independent figures in the government tasked with conducting objective audits of their agencies." I'm Chris Carojio. It's all because state law has prevented town organizers from legally obtaining a replacement for local groundhog, Milltown Mel. Since Mel passed away shortly before groundhog day 2022, the town has not resumed celebrating the holiday and confirmed they would not do so again in a Facebook post on Friday night. Organizers did add they were working with a state lawmaker on a solution that hopefully would be done in time for next year. American Madison Keys is the 20-25 Australian Women's Tennis Champion. As defeated four top 10 players on her way to her first-ever Grand Slam title, she's the first American champion since Sofia Kenyon won in 2010. And the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is calling a newly released Netflix series, quote, "dangerously misleading." American primeval began streaming on Netflix this month and follows LDS pioneers enduring the American frontier during the Utah War of 1857. The series portrays the Mountain Meadows Massacre, where LDS members killed nearly 120 immigrants traveling to California. A statement from the LDS Church on the series reads, quote, "Brigam Young, a revered prophet and courageous pioneer is, by any historical standard, egregiously mischaracterized as a villainous, violent fanatic."
