Trump first stopped in North Carolina where Tropical Storm Helene caused billions of dollars worth of damage last September. While there, the president said he'll sign an executive order to either fundamentally change or flat-out get rid of FEMA. He'll then head to California to review the damage from the recent Los Angeles area wildfires in a Fox News interview that aired Wednesday night Trump threatened to withhold federal aid to California if its water policies aren't changed. He also criticized FEMA and said he'd rather see the states take care of their own problems. The South is dealing with the aftermath of a record-breaking winter storm. At least 11 people were killed because of the cold and wintery conditions that stretched from Alabama to North Carolina. In Florida, nine inches of snow fell earlier this week in parts of the panhandle, beating out Anchorage, Alaska's total snowfall this winter. ICE is warning U.S. citizens could be questioned as agents carry out migrant sweeps in several major cities. ICE says its arrested hundreds of illegal migrants with border czar Tom Holman warning there could be collateral arrests. The Department of Homeland Security took to social media saying the American people are already seeing results as border encounters sharply decline. There's been an arrest in the killing of a U.S. Border Patrol agent. Officials announced 21-year-old Theresa Youngblood of Washington State was arrested and connection to Monday's fatal shooting. It happened during a traffic stop in Vermont near the border with Canada. Youngblood and another suspect have been on the FBI's radar prior to Monday's shooting. A new poll suggests Los Angeles residents blame Mayor Karen Bass for failures related to the recent destructive wildfires. Phil Hewlett reports. According to pollster David Wolfson's survey of likely voters, 54 percent said they disapprove of how Bass is handling the wildfires, 37 percent approve, and 9 percent are unsure. The poll also asks who respondents would vote for if an election were held today, 43 percent selected Rick Caruso, 36 percent Bass, and 21 percent undecided. I'm Lisa Taylor. Federal prosecutors are seeking a nearly five-year prison sentence for EP Mizzahara, the former interpreter for Dodger star Shohei Otani. On Thursday, prosecutors announced they do have audio of Mizzahara impersonating Otani while on the phone with a bank. In the nearly four-minute recording, Mizzahara tries to transfer $200,000 for what he says is a "car loan," Mizzahara has already pleaded guilty to bank and tax fraud, admitting to stealing almost $17 million from the baseball star, prosecutors also want Mizzahara to pay restitution to Otani and pay the IRS a fine of more than a million dollars. United Health Care Group has a new CEO following last month's killing of a company executive in New York City, Jennifer Pulsoni reports. The company announcing that Tim Noel, who's been with United Health Care since 2007, will head the company following the shooting death of former CEO Brian Thompson. Thompson fatally shot back in December near the Hilton Midtown. He'd been in the city to attend a conference. The lead shooter Luigi Mangione was later arrested in Pennsylvania, pleading not guilty to a number of charges. His court case in New York delayed until the middle of February, so both sides have more time to prepare for pretrial proceedings. I'm Jennifer Pulsoni. The NFL's Championship Sunday will go down this weekend and will determine the two teams that will play in Super Bowl 59. At 3 p.m. Eastern, the Washington commanders will take on the Eagles in Philadelphia in the NFC championship. The Eagles beat Washington in November, while the commanders took down Philly in December. Then, the Kansas City Chiefs will host the Buffalo Bills for the AFC Championship at 6.30 p.m. Eastern. The Bills and Chiefs played each other in November, with Buffalo walking way victorious. Pete Carroll will reportedly be back on NFL sidelines next season. Multiple reports say the Las Vegas Raiders have reached an agreement with Carroll to be their next head coach. I'm Lisa Taylor.
