Trump told reporters he'll first be stopping in North Carolina where Tropical Storm Helene caused billions of dollars worth of damage last September. He'll then head to California to review the damage from the recent Los Angeles area wildfires. Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson says he's not intimidated by President Trump's threats of possible federal investigations and prosecutions over immigration enforcement. Perry Williams with more. The mayor promised that the city will maintain its sanctuary status. Any of the measures that the president is looking to execute against working people in the city of Chicago, we will defend our city. Mayor Johnson added that the Chicago Transit Authority would display ads connecting riders with the city's guides on what to do when encountering ICE agents. Chicago has been bracing for the president's promise of mass immigration raids that have yet to happen. President Trump's executive order to restrict birthright citizenship is being blocked for at least the next two weeks by a federal judge from Seattle. Opponents of the change like Texas Democratic Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia called it a no-brainer. I think some people need to just sit down and read the damn Constitution. Nearly two dozen states are suing all of which argue that the birthright citizenship is cemented in the Constitution. The order would limit birthright citizenship to children born to at least one parent who is either a US citizen or a permanent resident. At least 11 people are dead after a historic snowstorm hit the south this week. In Florida, nine inches of snow fell earlier this week in parts of the panhandle beating out Anchorage, Alaska's total snowfall this winter. In New Orleans, snow blanketed the city nearly breaking a record set in the 1890s. I'm Michael Kastner. President Trump's pick for Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseath has advanced through the Senate confirmation. Mark Mayfield fills us in. The Senate voted largely along party lines Thursday to advance Hegseath with the final vote of 51 to 49. Republican senators Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins voted against him with Murkowski saying she cannot in good conscience support his nomination. She added past behavior that Hegseath has admitted to including infidelity on multiple occasions demonstrate a lack of judgment. Hegseath has faced allegations of sexual assault and excessive drinking. The Senate advanced Hegseath's nomination on Thursday setting up his confirmation vote on the floor Friday. The film also making history for its 13 nominations breaking the record for a non-English film. Adrian Brody has the chance to win the second best actor Oscar of his career for his performance in the period drama The Brutalist. The 97th Academy Awards will take place March 2nd in Hollywood. A new study shows those with ADHD have a shorter life expectancy. Lisa Taylor with more. Research published by Cambridge University Press found that men with ADHD were likely to live seven years less than those without ADHD. For women it was likely to shorten their lifespan by eight years. The study's authors wrote that the evidence is extremely concerning and highlights unmet support needs that require urgent attention.
