A federal judge is putting a temporary halt to President Trump's executive order that aims to limit birthright citizenship. A Seattle U.S. District Judge heard arguments today in a lawsuit filed by Arizona, Illinois, Oregon and Washington. Washington Attorney General Nick Brown says the executive order needed to be quickly stopped. Created a cloud of uncertainty for children being born here and in Seattle and all across the country. Millions of Americans are suffering another day of icy winter weather. Those from the Midwest East Coast and down to the Gulf Coast are dealing with freezing temperatures. Tens of thousands woke up without power on Thursday. The Anti-Defamation League is blasting Elon Musk for making jokes about Nazis and the Holocaust. The ADL and nonprofit committed to fighting anti-Semitism previously defended Musk after he repeatedly made a straight-arm salute at President Trump's inauguration event. New York's Attorney General is announcing that Purdue Pharma and the Sackler family have agreed to pay $7.4 billion to resolve opioid lawsuits. Sarah Lee Kessler has the details. Leticia James issued a statement Thursday saying the Sacklers agreed to increase their part of the money offered after the U.S. Supreme Court rejected a previous settlement last year. James was one of more than a dozen attorneys general to sue Purdue Pharma, claiming that Connecticut-based pharmaceutical giants aggressive marketing of Voxie content led to a national opioid addiction crisis. The CDC says more than 700,000 people in the U.S. have died from an overdose involving opioids since 1999. I'm Sarah Lee Kessler. The Senate is confirming John Radcliffe as the next director of the CIA. Radcliffe is now the second of President Trump's cabinet selections to be confirmed. The vote was 74 to 25. I'm Brian Schuch. TikTok is back after a brief shutdown Sunday, but the social media app remains unavailable for new users to download. There's still the search for a new owner. And experts say when that happens, there will be massive changes. Professor Wendy Grattaro teaches social media marketing at the University of Texas at San Antonio and says many of the biggest TikTok influencers are ready to bail on the platform. Slightly more Americans are becoming satisfied with how democracy is working in the nation. Tammy Trujillo reports a Gallup survey showed that while most Americans over six in 10 are dissatisfied with how the United States democracy is working. About a third reported they were satisfied in December of 2024. That was a six point jump from the number of those who said they were satisfied in December of 2023. However, Gallup notes that satisfaction is still low overall figures were much higher in the 1980s and 90s. I'm Tammy Trujillo. The nominees for this year's I Heart Radio Music Awards are out. Jacqueline Carl has more. And for a third, I dare. The nominees for this year's I Heart Radio Music Awards have been unveiled. Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen lead the field with 10 nominations each. Sabrina Carpenter, Kendrick Lamar and Post Malone are right behind them with nine nods each. Fans can vote for their favorites online at iHeartRadio.com/awards through March 10th. The I Heart Radio Music Awards will be held on March 17th in Los Angeles. I'm Jacqueline Carl. Police are investigating after an ancient statue was found in a trash bag near garbage cans in Greece. A local man in the port city of Thessaloniki found the statue which is thought to be some 2,000 years old. The statue is 32 inches tall and depicts someone wearing flowing garments.
