Many of you may have heard the very unusual story that made the news last week, involving a Waterford parent who inquired about another families' liability insurance policy before allowing their child to attend a birthday party at the families home.

Quite a number of people have spoken up on the matter, with many blaming the state of the insurance compensation-culture in Ireland today.
