Limerick Today- UL Hospitals Group and UL group return from three year life saving medical training trip to Ghana

A team from UL Hospitals Group and the University of Limerick has returned from Ghana having completed its three-year plan to establish a programme of emergency care skills training for healthcare workers in Ghanaian community health facilities and hospitals.

Not only did they train hundreds of workers in the kind of general emergency skills that will make a huge improvement in the living standards of the 1million residents of Upper West Ghana—they also created a training cohort on the ground to ensure that the training continues in the years ahead.
