The state of Physical Education in Schools w/ Dr. Brandy Lynch

P.E. class has gone through drastic changes from army boot camp type training in the early 20th Century, to lots of dodge-ball in the 80's and 90's, to the shift we are seeing now to true education about movement of the body and overall health.

Dr. Brandy Lynch is living her passion to improve the health and wellness of children through teaching the next generation of physical education teachers.

In this conversation, we talk about her journey from the K-12 classroom to being an Assistant Professor at The University of Central Missouri. She shares her desires for what future physical education should look like and why. She reminds us that while all the other subjects we learn about in school may come and go throughout our working careers, our physical health is with us until we pass on.
