Hey guys, this is Ricky Stewart. Let me make it very clear. I do not endorse the Raiders review with Blake and the Pork podcast. Go to the Mighty Raiders. Oh, and welcome to Raiders review with Blake and the Pork and Matt, I'm the Pork. I'm Blake. Matt's back. He's back. Where have you been? Where have you been? We couldn't do a show last week because Tim was in Melbourne and I couldn't find you. You're just riding. You're in a bunker. I was on Levi Island, but let's, no, that's not true. No, that's not true. You're coaching Kanga Cricket and I had lined up one assistant coach, Kanga Sockett, well, Kanga something, and I'd lined up one assistant coach to be involved in an exclusive for Raiders view with Blake and the Pork and then we'll just have to wait until maybe later in the season. But I was here. I was crying tears. I was crying many, many, many rugby league tears. Yeah. Levi Island, it's Sock. It has not sunk. It's not sunk. There's just, there's a giant ship that's gone past Levi Island and it's the HMMS Starler and we're all on board the HMMS Starler for a little while. But I'm actually, I've been loving Tom Starling what he brings to the scene. He's in my, I know his passing isn't the best, you know, particularly on his, to his right hand side, but he's taking his effort. Yeah, he's tough. Pound for pound. You know, you'd have him in the top three in the comp. You know, Cam Guinness, you know, Starler. Who else is there? Someone else I've probably forgotten that's equally well as an up player. I've always liked for his work rate in his effort at all times in all positions. But, you know, probably not a fair comparison really. No, rubbish comparison. But how good is it to see guys been at the club and obviously had the great second half of 2019, you know, and he's been overlooked as the starter to Levi this year and, and obviously to Wolford last year to get his chance and he's been fantastic. And then he's been so good that Ricky doesn't want to pull him off. He puts him into that pivot role. So, you know, I'm stoked, who wants to pull him off? Who wants to pull him off? Not Ricky. You know, I actually, I like, I've, the thing about Starler, why he's always had that spot in the 17 and why I think Ricky likes him so much, apart from his character, his effort, his toughness is that he can play 13. You know, we saw that in the back end of the game against the Knights and Danny Levi's been coming on, you know, and hasn't been offering that much, Matt, I've got to say. But next year, next year, we'll have Danny Levi and Tom Sire. I think Zach Wolford's gone. And I think I think Adrian's brilliant. Like there's been no talk of either of those re-signing the peacock's back, mate. But there's a lot of them. No, they're real, they don't fake it. It's not a sound bite. Didn't you eat the cock? Didn't you eat those peacock and they shouldn't, because if you do kill it in this neighborhood, you might get a $30,000 final four years in prison. Yeah, right. Well, you can shoot a president over here and get away with it, seemingly. The interesting thing, getting back to Levi Island, and I love Levi Island, we all know that. Your definition of getting away with it is being shot dead. Like three seconds later. That's where he's leading. Oh, here we go. There's the grassy gnoll. The grassy gnoll. Well, our correspondent from North America, of course, has joined us here for exclusive conspiracy. He's lost the fight. I have not been on the grassy gnoll. I've been on the sandy beach on Danny Levi Island, but it's funny, you know, like, I love Levi starting. I think he offers a lot. And Tom's proved that he deserves the spot. I don't know whether Levi's the right type of hooker to bring on off the end of the game. No, just he's someone that offers a consistency in a certain type of sort of six out of 10 every game. And off the bench, you want sort of something with dynamic, which is why Tom Stein was the one off the bench, because he could sort of bring that speed around the rock and all the rest of it. But Danny Levi's defense, I think, was letting him down the middle. And that's why Tom Stein was. Yeah, he was getting gas to not getting pulled enough. But without talking about the hookers too much, but, you know, a couple of the performance we've seen we're starting in the last few weeks are probably been the best we've seen this year in a race jersey. So he deserves the spot. Obviously. Yeah. Let's go into the news. The news is a lot of news that's come out. It's already breaking news. It's kind of news that has been around, you know, and it's just kind of been confirmed. And the first bit of confirmed news is that this is Elliott Whitehead's last season as a player at the club. It is potentially who will return as soon as 2026 in, you know, another capacity. But he's finishing up at the end of this year. And he's heading off to Lake Catalans in the South of France. We actually, that's where we signed him from. So he's a bright about 60 games there. Yeah. So he's a Bradford lad. He and John Bateman and the Burgers are from Giuseppe, which is near Bradford. But they're all Bradford sort of effectively juniors. And the reason they all left Bradford was because Bradford went into administration. Yeah. Adrian Patel was actually there with all those guys as well. And so Bradford went into administration and they got dropped down division. And so all the players that were on any money went various other places. And Elliott went to Les Catalans. We had a couple of years. And he said when he left, if he made a promise to the club, Sonny Bill Williams style, that if he was to return to the Super League, it would be to Lake Catalans. So he's going back there. If you could play in Montpellier in the South of France on the Mediterranean. So it's the water's performance. And, you know, he's going to go take his kids. He already speaks French. He said that. Nick Cutrick. But you know, and he's and he always said to his country back, I think it's fantastic. And he's already said to the club that he's going to come back in a year. So it's, it's, isn't it so nice having one of our our beloved, you know, imports leave on really good terms? Obviously we would have preferred Johnson. Yeah, exactly. George Williams, Josh Hudson, Johnny Bateman. Yeah. So I'm right. It's nice to have this poor old Ryan Sutton. He's out again. He's barely played. It's like if you're a Raiders player, don't go to the Bulldogs because it's like, the dogs have bad knees, bad hips. They have slobber. They snore. Yeah. They're a terrible, terrible dog. They're too inbred. Yes. But so yeah, Nick Cutrick as well is going to the South of France. And I think it's the, I can remember if we did something news. It's been two weeks. So I don't know what we've actually covered, but we probably might be covering stuff again. But Nick Cutrick is 100% going to South of France as well. And, you know, it's the only place. Yeah. They might eat him. It's the only place that I could really see Nick fitting in in the Super League, you know? He was spotted last night in Sydney in Bond. I actually haven't given it. So yeah. Yeah. I buy a by Brisbane Bronco, mate of mine, who said I'm sitting across from Nick and his manager. And I said, sell, sell, sell, sell. But who is he? He's got a different manager, as he can see. I think he was. Yeah, did this deal. Yeah. He's got a new manager. I think he was with Samayu. I think he was one of the many writers with Samayu, but he's not with him anymore. The Nicky Cutrick one's funny. You know, like we've probably put out a poll this weekend. The promise that he gave the club and when he came on the scene, he was, he was the next, you know, next Josh Durgen or the next, whatever. The next young local junior that, you know, rose to a play state of origin in Australia. And it just, the sport, it's just hard. It just goes to show you how hard first grade is actually. Yeah. I think, look, I've got some theories on Nick Cutrick. And first thing I'll say is, I'm sad that he's going because any time a local junior, you know, we don't have, now he's gone, how he's missed shields has gone. But I think we really have any camera guys in the current squad after Nick and Zach Wolford. It's one of course, too, but he's probably not going to be here this year. We've got some kids we brought through from kids, but they weren't from. No, no, no, I'm talking about born and bred grandparents. You know, he's one of the others from Maria, but it's not the same. No, the rumor. No, that's a long way. That's long. Anyway, my theory on Nick Cutrick, though, is that, and it's interesting, Eliot spoke to the press this week, and even he said that Nick's never been the same player since he went to the Bulldogs. And we've all thought that and said that. But it was interesting to hear someone from the club actually share that same sentiment. But my theory with Nick, is he's one of those guys, he was such a naturally gifted athlete, that he would have just found football so easy as a junior. And then when he came into first grade straight away, he just, like that. It came to him easy. And then I think once things got hard, I don't know, like, you know, this is only my impression. I don't know if you had the work ethic or the desire or some may have, but some people love football, you know, and you hear about like, you hear about certain guys, you know, they're so passionate about football and they love football and obsessed with football. He's not that guy. He's the generation of players that probably doesn't watch a whole lot of games. You know, when he was on that podcast, let's try with Josh Mansour. My God, have a listen to that if you're in here. It's like the inside of a meeting of Mensa, two of the great minds, but they're talking about stuff. They got no idea about anything. And Josh Mansour starts talking about how Cooper Crunk had a broken shoulder. You say you have to have an idea about something in order to be on a podcast. Yeah, well, Cooper Crunk, Josh Mansour comes, starts talking to Nick coaching about, I said you, did you like try and target Cooper Crunk's broken shoulder in the grandpa? I don't really remember saying too much about that because it wasn't that was the year before against the storm when he had the Buster Cholla. He showed us one against us. I wonder if part of it's that, you know, it's a bit of a big presumption on a single player or, and if you pull back and you actually look at the the greatest scheme of the game and wings changed, it's changed a lot, you know, and it's and there aren't too many rappers, there aren't too many people that have come in and been able to stay at the top of the game for a long time. Well, he's lucky, but generally the ones that can, there's Lesnick, me arc. I don't know. Yeah, he's one. He's reinvented himself a little bit. He's gone on a few different clubs, you know, it's, it's, it's a tummy, Valame. There's no semis. It's a cold, cold breeze. There are no semis, but I don't wonder if the sport is very warm. I wonder if the sport slightly changed to the point where it's, you know, harder for these kids to keep up and, you know, we're looking at, you know, sem, um, let a mica sevo. Would you, would you change mica sevo for Nick Cochri? Yeah, yes. Have you like a sevo's about to get dropped to though? You know what I mean? Like it's that's right. But you also have to look at, um, where who we was playing with when he came up, who was on the outside of what ball he was getting when he first came. Well, I was outside toots. Yeah, he was outside and, and, and, and if there's ever been a center that knew how to put a winger away or, or looked after his winger, thought it passed first more than, so that definitely helped him. Yeah, but also on the, it was on the end of the, the, the Jack White and when he was in form and Aiden Caesar, you know, so we actually had a structure and it was really, that side was in really good shape. But that was, that was, like, he could make something for nothing. There were times when he got the ball and he went through the whole thing and scored length of field tries. Yeah. He's, you know, he's not going to do that in a million years. He packed his nose through a hole. You know, now he's got no speed. He's, he's too top heavy. I think he'll do all right in Super League and I wish him all the best. And maybe he'll return to the NRL one day because he's, what he's still a 25, 26. And I think he's going to, he's going to one of the most, I mean, don't get me wrong, Australia's one of the most beautiful parts of the planet, but he's literally going to one of the most beautiful places on earth to play rugby league, you know, and drink wine and travel southern France and northern Spain. Yeah, he's going to, he's going to have a great time. He's hanging out at Bondi. He's at Rivices. That other thing on that podcast, he pretty much like immune on that podcast that he was, he like wanted to go hang out. He's good mates with Teddy, enough Teddy was at the dinner as well, but he wanted to go hang out with Teddy in, at Bondi and, and he spoke to the roosters, but the roosters weren't offering him too much money, so he went to the Bulldogs. And then he was stuck, you know, out in Green Acre or didn't work out well for him. So what other news have we got? Um, next bit of news again, it's something that kind of, you know, has been well and truly covered, but Matty Nicholson, it's been announced by the club, but he's signed. It was announced by Sam Burgess. Was it by the club? Well, okay, I've got the clip, let's hear the clue. How much do you want to hang on to Infinex season? Yeah, well, he's, he's, he's done. I mean, that's not news. He's, he's gone to Canberra next year. So, um, yeah, it's just part of it. He's an ambitious young man. Um, you know, I love him to stay, but you know, I'm not sure that's the case. Yeah, I asked him, he didn't confirm it, but you have. Okay, so on the heels, that was first thing in the morning, because that was a late night game, first thing the front end morning, and then a couple of hours later, the announcement came from the club. The club was always going to announce his signing, but yes, I think Sam's comments did bring it forward. Let the cat out of the bag. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it wasn't a very well held secret, but all the same. It was definitely, um, well, you know, but yeah, he's going to Canberra. It's like, oh, and then he tries to backtrack, but I mean, even Sam Burgess is stealing stories from David Pocking on. It's out of control. I'm still blocked. He won't talk to me anyway, because of you guys, you know, Pokes is a good guy, and now I'm not because of you guys. It might be now after that joke, but I love your Pokes. Yeah, I'm blocked. I've never said a negative thing. I used to. Yeah. Anyway, clearly dead to him. Anyway, so Matty Nichols, and if you don't know, he is, is when is he 21 now 2021? He's a right sided second rower. Yeah, he's pretty much been signed to be the direct replacement for the Elliot why I had it. He's already played for England. He's skilled. He's got fast feet. He's got good hands. He looks like a terrific prospect. A lot of people at the UK would say he's the best young forward. Yeah. And obviously, as you can hear from, from Sam Burgess's comments, you know, would love to have kept him in the club. Yeah, but we've got him. And I think we've got a good one. And there's a, there's a connection here in Morgan Smith. These are from the same town Halifax for the reason why the reason why Sam blurs today is because of Matty played man of the match kind of performance in that particular game. And the journal was saying how good was Matty today? What's going on? Are you going to be able to keep him? And Sam just obviously said, well, everybody knows, he's gone. Yeah. So it's a good, it's exciting. It's very, it's a very exciting, exciting. I thought we had given up on England. You know, I thought we had to. Yeah. But with this year, we've seen a couple of, you know, some good signings and young players coming out. So, yeah, no, they've come back. Actually, here's a question. Because you're a bit of our, you're the, the local, now I'm super legal fish, you know, what's Harry Rushton been up to lately? I don't know that he's doing that. I think he's playing, but I don't think he's setting the world on fire. And he went to, he went to Huddersfield who aren't like one of the, I'm going to, I'm going to, no. Because he was, we signed him from Wigan. Yeah. You know, and he, you know, he never really got his shot. He played one game, right? Yeah. He played one game. We didn't pull the pin on him. He pulled the pin and we let him go because he wanted to. But he looked, you know, he looked good from, from all the cup stuff. I saw him as, you know, that sort of 13, 13 slash middle, you know, mobile. Yeah. He was, he was a big prospect. And he's a delightful kid too. But, you know, it was one of those things when, I don't know what happened, but something happened and he wanted to go. He bust his jaw and I think he was, you know, had a miserable time and couldn't see his family very much over the COVID years. I mean, thankfully with all these, these near English guys, it's a lot easier for them to go backwards and forwards and, you know, for their family to come out and see them, which obviously was part of the challenge with a lot of the, the previous. Yeah, man. It's hard being away from your family. I travel for work away from my family a lot. And I sympathize so much with the POMI guys. I don't sympathize with the Milford. It was like, I miss my family and they're in Brisbane. And no, his dad's actually in camera the whole time. Yeah. His dad was like, I see his dad in the games. Yeah, the camera raiders have to deal with the bloody, I miss my family. And they're in like, Liverpool and Sydney. It's ridiculous. But the, the, you know, when we bring out guys from the UK, if it doesn't quite work out and they do get a long term injury like that, you know, some of these kids, you know, they come from very, very small towns in Northern England. And you could imagine how lonely it must get. So yeah, true. And look, Matty Nicholson is literally turning 21 tomorrow. Oh, when you hear this on the day you were hearing this podcast, the 8th of July, we do have a whole new audience in the UK. Now we've broadcast on rugby league.com and check it out. If you haven't checked out already, it's the world's first 24/7 rugby league internet radio station. That's right. Yeah. That's right. And you can hear rates for you, Blake and Pork and Matt exclusively on that because we've, you know, why not? I think, I think that's one of the other reasons why the news burst about Matt was all the talk. And you're probably going to get to this. And then one of your next talking points when it comes to news, Blake, with the Raiders going to Vegas. So obviously, the two English clubs, one of his clubs is tied up there. So they're asking to go, well, let's talk about Vegas, Matt. Are you excited? Mate, the Raiders are coming to Vegas. The Raiders are coming to Vegas. I've been speaking the Raiders' truth to my kids since they were in my partner's belly. I've watched numerous games at night from when they were born up until now. So to be able to throw their jerseys on them and act a bit of a clown, you know, because they're going to come here, it's awesome. Vegas is about a five hour drive from my house, you know, and I fly across the world to see this side play. So I'm sure let's try and get Blake and let's try and get Tim. I'm sorry, the pork over to Vegas and let's try and get a meetup. It's going to meet up with our podcast and any other podcasts. Well, we're reaching out again to cause light to see if they're happy to join up with us again to promote them on our podcast, which of course we are. And we're quite happy to come and push their product on behalf of the Canberators. Set up that marquee, push their product heavily if they fly us over, we are in. So you listen out there, cause light, we are hundred and twenty percent in. We're there. We can all hang out at my house in LA and then we can all head to Vegas. It'll be awesome. It'll be fun. Back when I was a kid, I heard about cause beer from smoking in the bandit because that was the beer they were putting in the back of the truck. And so I'd be proud. I'd be proud to rep cause light at Las Vegas. Enough, enough, enough, enough, enough of the the plugging and the pitiful plugging. It's obviously awesome. And, and, you know, there was a bit of back and forth with some friends early in the week. Patty Bramble's a good mate of mine, Pat. And I grew up in Canbar together. Are you sexually delivered milk to his house? And he leaves about 40 minutes from here as well. So there's going to be. Is that a euphemism to milk to his house? No, it's not a heart of miss him. Say hi to his mum, say hi to Patty's mum for me. He's delivered milk to his house in Canbar. He's down south, mighty stretch. Well, he's a 12 year old boy trying to earn an extra couple of dollars that, you know, to pay for my wife. I'm sure you were old. You started when you were 12? Sure. You were in this gracious thing. Pay for some of those headshots. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, we will post cause Matt shared with some fantastic guys. No, no, now I question why I've even come back to this podcast. I was in semi-retirement on Levi Island, just happy just to turn off all social media. Sinking. The island was sinking. All right. So you don't have to talk about the eight by 10 glossy of you as a kid, which is magnificent. Yeah. Local hero. Local hero, star of the Junior Pierce story. Don't get looking for it on YouTube. I already have. It's not on there. Who is your mum got to take? Can we put it up there? I got a couple of hours ago. How was it going? How was it going? How was it going for? Well, it's an hour and a half. It's sadly, it's not the worst thing I've ever done. It's one thing. It's one, man. It's one, man. What's the worst thing I've ever done? It's basically number one with the bullet. No questions. What's the second thing I've done. I think we've covered off on Vegas. Let's go into Tim. Something this week I understand that's annoyed you. Something has annoyed me. In fact, you might say it is ground my gears. You know what really grinds my gears? Now, you want to know what grinds my gears? Sure. Tell us. Just like that. Sure. Tell us. Just like that. Okay. I was going to say a few things, but I'll just wait. All right. All right. Okay. Well, look, I've had well over a week to think about this, but we played. We played so much better against the Knights. It was a good effort. They really tried hard, and we let ourselves down again with errors, again with errors. It really gave our opponents away, and then we capitalized that on missed tackles. It grinds my gears that such good effort can be wasted with just these little details. We need to get back, and I'm hoping this is the week it starts, get back to the hold the ball, no error football that we were great at the beginning of the season, off the back of which you get victories from, because it grinds my gears that such great effort was wasted with those errors and then missed tackles, but the other thing that grinds my gears. And, you know, I say this with the greatest love because everyone who listens this knows that I love obvious advice. I love him, right? I've come right round. I thought he was gone, then he's come back and he's proven it. Harvey, you had to get your hand to that ball. You had to get your hand to the ball, and you didn't, and it grinds my gears and grinds my gears. Save your savage. Look, he's been tremendous this year. I think he's been a real sort of bright point of the season, but I think he should have got that ball down. I think, you know, better, more experienced, more accomplished wins, do get that ball down. He had three errors in that game, and that's pretty much sort of a benchmark, I think you've got three errors for the game. Well, there is his mate, he's my quarter. It's not uncommon for him to make three errors. And I know, you know, it's through trying, but yeah, I think he should have done better. And, you know, we could have, we could have, if he got that try, well, I think we would have got the kick and we would have won. Ultimately, we lost the game because we didn't score enough points. It's all points, it's not going to win you many games. It's a great truth. It's a great truth. It's a funny one, isn't it? You know, like, personally, I'm never going to begrudge players for making simple errors like that, because it comes through effort. You know, I mean, watching my brother play professional sport, he had a couple of errors in him, and it cost him probably a couple of contracts, you know, it was an error tour game. It's a hard thing with Savage, you know. I don't see any of the areas in that particular game, and any of the areas that some fans were blowing up in the Melbourne game earlier as a problem. I think those things can be fixed in time. I think those things can be corrected because they're just, you know, a combination of many mistakes. The issue that I have is with the previous two games when it comes to lack of intent, lack of commitment, and you can see the way that Ricky responded in all of the presses. I personally wasn't very happy with some of the decisions that were made in that new castle game. I'm not ref blaming because I think we had chances, multiple chances to win the game. But we can look back at the Tarpani. Yeah, so I reckon on Pongar, there's a bunch of stuff, that point that a couple of decisions led to points for them, and a couple of decisions led to opportunities for us, and we didn't take those opportunities. And you can look back simplistically, and say, well, we didn't we didn't take the opportunities, and you can, you know, let's, you know, Savage getting to that ball. We could have won the game earlier. There was a set of six earlier in the game that we probably fucked up. So yeah, I reckon there were four sort of big points in that game that that went against is an all side to look the end of the day. The difference was was the state of origin players. Yeah, the difference was the state of origin players. You know, I think I was amazing. It was, he was, he was, he was. And Pongar, he was all right too. It was the best didn't do a whole lot, but he didn't do anything bad. But yeah, saying gay guy, Jesus Christ, Jesus, like, where did that come from? Yeah, obviously he wanted his Queensland jump running. He's very passionate about playing the Queensland, but like, even when, um, Carol Weeks ran the length of the field after Whitehead took the intercept, it was, Dan Gaggle was the guy chasing him all the way. Oh, mate, you were testing us during the game, saying what position is Gaggle playing? Yeah, he had a free roaming play. He was playing a left and right center. He was playing. He was, he was fantastic. Um, he's kind of like, Dan Gaggle is like their version of Jordan Rappener. Yeah. Well, we saw that and he's the equivalent. Yeah. The one you love to hate. He's a berserker. And he's like, we all love to hate him. But then if regardless of what other fans think of them, just think about what Newcastle must think of Dan Gaggle. He's like, they're up and he pops up. He's a well, and he stayed. He's obviously passionate about the club too, because he got to actually an offer to go the roosters to your deal, but he's resigned to one year deal. Yeah, to stay with them. I think, um, to that last year, just to your point is when we were playing the final against them up there, Jack White and went out of his way to Pollack's Gaggle and did. And I think on the back of that dominance of him, it really led our way to winning that match because it is certain dominance. And I think White knew that and went out and thumped him a few times to get him off his game because he knows he's such a talismanic player and smashed him. And he was smashing us rather than the other way. And then he wanted to get Tyson Gamble off his game. So he decided to bite him. So he decided to bite him. He didn't bite him. He did. Okay, come on. Do that. Do the arm test. It's been six months since he did it. So that was one of the big, the one. So the big turning points though, also in the game, I think were the call, that high tackle call on tarpany. I could for the, for the alleged high tackle. I count on Pollack was one of the worst calls I've ever seen. It was an absolute joke. One of the toughest calls of all time. If it's made, if that tackle A, it wasn't high. And B, if that tackle was made on June, Robin, and do you think it's a penalty? Do you think it's a penalty that's made on, on any other player apart from Kallen Ponger? You know, it seems to be certain players, maybe. Yeah. But there's certain players that get, get special treatment, special calls, and that was a case one. And he looked at that. They got the penalty. They got the field position they scored off the next set of six. Yep. So that was a huge turning point. The next one, we've talked about Gago, the miss from Hopper Whiting on Gago. I mean, I know he wasn't alone there. There was Rappinger in weeks with there as well. But I think that's the reason why Hopper Whiting's not playing. He's lost his spot because of that. That was a poor effort to tackle him. And, you know, the argument we've made for Hopper Whiting being in the side over Shiller or the justification anyway has been defence has been defence. Yeah. And we've been putting Shiller on the wing, not in the centre. Yeah. So yeah. But it's pretty high, I think. But look, especially that early in the match, it was really, really, I thought it was a major decision to give that dangerous tackle. Because on replay, clearly wasn't. No, that was a joke. So that was a second turning point. I've got four. The third one, I think right on half time, we had a chance to level up the scores. And Ethan Strange, I think if he passes Timico, look, does he definitely score? I think so. I can't say 100%. I know Matt doesn't agree with me on this one, but he's on the move. He's wandering around. What do you think, Tim? Do you think Ethan Strange completely destroyed that try? It was a try for all money. It had been hard work, had been done for it. He could have passed on either side of him. Yeah, I don't know who was on the, I can't remember who was on the inside, but he passes. He passes. It's a definite try. If he doesn't pass, he might have scored. He might have scored himself, but he clearly didn't. But if he passes, we definitely score. It comes back to my life. Oh, he did a good job, though. He was moments like when, you know, I had flashbacks of Joey LaLua trying to, you know, shoulder bump, LaTrell Mitchell coming across instead of passing their rap. And it's like, it's the same thing. It's like, you pass, your score, make sure of it. I mean, I love you. You're both fucking wrong. Sorry. Colin Ponger absolutely nailed that defensive read. He turned his outside shoulder towards Timico, that if Strange passed, Timico wasn't out running him. Strange did the right thing. The problem that he hit is once he turned Colin Ponger back towards him, he couldn't find another person. And then the next ruck, that was the most perfectly defended two on one. I don't think, I don't think Timico scores if Strange passes the ball. I think he does. I think he does. I think even in good position, I don't think Ponger's stopping Timico from leaving us harder to stop. And all the work had been done. And the momentum was there. And then we blew it and dropped the damn ball out of that. It was just, and it was, yeah, we dropped the ball and it was like a real, at that point, if we scored, I think we were on. I think we're right. That was the biggest mistake in that set of six. It wasn't that pass. It was the next tackle. And that's where the Raiders have never learnt from their mistakes, is either one, we panic when we get a line break, or two, we don't capitalize and take advantage in a smart way. We either do a dummy half scoot, a short side run, or we do three dummy half scoots in a row. And we've done it for years. You know, think back to the Cronella, semi-final at Bruce. There's just so many situations when we don't play well off unstructured foot yet, we actually play a pretty unstructured game. It bothers me, man. Well, if we scored there and I genuinely believe we should have and get that, you know, it's 10 or what half time, we get the conversion. It's 12, 10. And I think we could, it was such a massive point in that. Those are the situations though, where we will benefit like this week from having Jamal Fogarty 100. He's a sort of player that will sum up that situation either, you know, either someone open will kick to the left side now or send it, you know, the left side or whatever, or instead of going back to where all the defense is. And then the other turning point was of course with Savage, not getting a ball down. But Ethan Strange is an interesting one because at times, I mean, it's good, he goes himself, but at times, I don't know, I remember Laurie Daley, when he came through kind of always thought go himself and didn't think past enough. And maybe that applies a little bit to Ethan Strange, but you know, he's still. Yeah, but we've got to give the kids some, yeah, not only is he really young, he's not playing with a dominant half. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And you know, he hasn't had Fogarty for the entire year. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's had, he's had Adam Cook, Kayo Weeks, he's like, it's, it's, Oh, no, I'm not pulling out. No, I'm just saying, I'm just saying, we're going to see, no, but just, you know, all of this talk of the Strange was the rookie of the year at the beginning of the season when Fogarty was playing. And then now, there's all this lucky Gavin stuff. You watch Strange, the person that's going to benefit the most of Fogarty coming back is going to be Ethan Strange. Yeah, just going to give him the freedom to play short side. So, you know, to not have to worry about kicking and all this sort of stuff. Adam, it's going to be interesting to see how him and Kayo Weeks play together. Yeah, Adam Cook kicked pretty well again. Some of his like his high smile kicks. Some of the kicks were just, I would just always just not quite close enough to the line, especially in the first half. And there was two in the second half. There was one that went too deep and one that went too shallow. That when we, it was, I think we might have scored points and then we had a kick. It was from fairly, fairly, around the halfway mark and he just booted it and they got a seven tackle set and that killed all the momentum. It did. It did. Some of the spirals though, he's putting on at the ground were as good as, they're as good as anything you've seen. Yeah, don't need your range. They worked on it and he did well. Look, Adam Cook's done the as good a job as we could have hoped he could have done, but we should talk about the who we think gets the $10 land speed records, Blake and the Pork and Matt, man of the match. Matt, Kayo Weeks. Kayo Weeks has been my, I think the best player for the side for the last. And I haven't watched the game in the last two days. So, you know, told that he was Turkey. No, but he was the best player in the game in the week. How many times have you watched it? A week before. Once, I think, maybe once or twice. Oh, you're damn good. I was on, I was on semi retirement, you know, I was doing media posts for Canberra Raiders now. I was living the life just, just cutting checks. I was checking the mailbox for like, checks that are coming in, just pimping out my kids for social media engagements. Yeah. Yeah. It's, it's, it's waiting for that offspring residual check comes in every month. Come through. Getting smaller. Let's get in smaller. No, it's like getting smaller. I've never got an offspring residual check. Not one. Is that right? That's bad. Look, bad management, poor representation coming back to the man and match. I agree. It was good, but I had Matt Timico back to form huge meters, big line breaks, big, big runs, really put his effort in there. I think, had he been given that ball, he would have scored a try as well. We might have won. And we wouldn't even be discussing he was a man of the match. Oh, I also thought Papa, you know, was back to his best. Yeah, I heard another person. I said that, but all right. Look, I'm prepared to go with Kyle, but I just want to represent Matt Timico as well, because I think he played very, very well. A lot of players played very well, actually. I was, I was much happy with the performance, but, you know, he wasn't really happy with the performance. Danny Stewart. Yeah, it is Danny Stewart, the half brother of a, a Cambridge Ricky Stewart. Uh, now in regards to the game on Friday, you know, what against the was, uh, expect us to absolutely shit that in, uh, uh, it's already nothing that, uh, know it's the fleet that would really turn the corner defensively, and I, uh, the better swing most of that game of the week. Uh, when you look at the season to come, we've got eight games to go. We've got the three boys in low way, much to the chagrin of the, uh, boy, I'm in, uh, Lenov is, but they, uh, we can see, uh, look at these last eight games as our, uh, final tilt towards what seems like a inevitable top four spot. Now, now in regards to, uh, the worst game I, as I said, I expect us to, uh, do it in, uh, on our dicks. Uh, like a beat by 60 more than times a few weeks ago, if a good sake, uh, uh, uh, I think it could be a similar score line on, uh, Friday night, uh, we could be in for a, uh, half-ton at least. Uh, I still see this as the, uh, permission favorites, obviously enough in the last month or so, to dissuade me from that, uh, opinion, uh, uh, when you look at, uh, some of the games we have on the run home, uh, we've got a PC to draw, uh, uh, the was, uh, the bodies at home next week, you mean police. Uh, I think we've got the dogs at Bill Moore, we should shit that one in, and, uh, the panthers and the, uh, roosters in there as well, so it's hard to see any of those, uh, uh, so much troubling. This isn't a, uh, I can't see these leads in another, uh, game of 40 this season. Uh, so, uh, uh, we've got a couple of those disappointing losses out of the way, uh, just to, uh, make it interesting for the end of our reel, but, uh, I still can't see any other result, but they, uh, uh, right, it's premiership in, uh, 2024. Uh, now we've got the cavalry back on dick, uh, ashamed to see the, uh, great mean Adam Cook, uh, uh, go back down the ridges, but, uh, he really served us well in those few games he played. He was absolutely phenomenal. Uh, get, uh, fog back in, uh, Zacky Hosking, so, uh, uh, close to our full strength team, so, uh, onwards and upwards, uh, can't see these leads in another game of 40 this year, and, uh, I got your green machine. I would say, is that a happy, shares your optimism, Tim? He does. So, top four, he'll be still, he'll be still got us in the top four. Look, look, look, okay. So, we have eight more matches, right? Yeah. If we went all eight. If we went all eight, top four. Easy. No problem whatsoever. In fact, I think if we went seven of eight, top four. You know, I've looked, I looked through the remaining games. Let's dig a little, let's predict, let's just blake, blake, extra dumb. I don't want to be the voice of, I don't want to be the voice of doom, but you all like that. Someone have to be, someone have to sort of, you know, bring a bit of reality proceedings. Um, I struggle to see where the next wind's coming from. Well, it's on Friday night. Well, hopefully it's on Friday night, but you know, if you look at all those games. I've done a lot of predicted to. Yeah. Why don't we're not favorites this Friday night? The Warriors are actually favorites. Um, you know, probably, again, probably one of the first times I've ever been favorite is and we're not favorites against anybody we're playing. No, we're not in any game. And that formal line is about to turn the favoritism stuffs about. I, I, I with my, um, pork, McDonald's, positive glasses, have looked at our letter procedure. That's the sponsor of local rugby league, McDonald's ACT. And I, I, even with favoring like, yeah, we'll win that one. Yeah, we'll win that one. Yeah, we'll maybe win that one. Yeah. Where do you have us finishing? Night. Night at best, 10th. Yeah. All right. So here's, here's where we got left. We got the Warriors this weekend, win. Then we got out of home. Then we got the rabbits the following weekend. Uh, win, right? Then we got the dogs. No, no, no, no. I just noticed that rabbits one is six, 15 on Sunday. What the hell are they doing that time slot? Don't know. Dogs away and building. No, that makes sense. Right. Then see you girls at home. Win. So that's four wins straight away. So we're on a run at this stage. Then we go to the cows away. Lord knows we owe them for last time. Win, right? So five in a row. Panthers at home, it's going to be tight, but they're going to be due for loss. Win, right? There's six roosters away. I reckon at this stage, we might have a little bit of a stumble there and just get a draw. That's probably the loss. That's probably the loss we want to have before. So that's the loss. And then we go away to Cogra and we play the dragons. We said, there's your seven out of five. Honestly, I honestly can't. I honestly can't say he's doing dragons at Cogra. I don't know what's more disturbing. Tim's like, eternal optimism and the fact that we need to buy him a raiders. What is it? Like, what does he need? He needs a lot of things. No, when you're the mascot, the whole mascot outfit, because he's just so positive. Or the fact that Tim just said, Cogra. Cogra. What's wrong with Cogra? It's Cogra. It's Cogra. It's Cogra. That's how it's spelled. Is it also Cambera? It is Cambera. We've just bastardized a dam into Cambera, A-A-M-B-R-A, Cambera. But now, let's think. Look, I just want to point back to, and I think there's a lot of similarities between these things, the 1989 season and this season. We weren't doing well going into the state of origin period in 1989. We came out and we went on the run that took us through to the elimination run, and then we won the grand final. I see all the signs. Okay. If they're all the signs, who is our Malmaninger, Bradley Clyde, Laurie Daly and Ricky Stewart. Who are those four players in it? Strange. Matt McAdhey? Matt Timicase, Matt Timicase. They're all there. Danny Levi. They're all there. You didn't say Steve Walters, and Kaya Weeks is really playing the part of Gary Belcher. Gary Belcher. I don't know why you guys can't all see it. He's got the mo. Yeah, he does. It's clear to me. It's absolutely clear to me. He got the mo. Gary Belcher just needed a rat's tail. He absolutely did. I actually did see an article where Hudson Young said, "Our run starts now." "Our run starts now." That's exactly right. Our run does start now. I couldn't have started two weeks. It would be because it wouldn't be as exciting. Do you remember when we went to the Western Australia to the Wacker, and we played Canterbury, and what's his name? The guy went up and coached Bronco's for a brief period. Love and handjack. Love and handjack makes the break, and then we score that thing. How exciting was that? Well, it's going to be just like that. It's going to be exciting. Here's a question for both of you. I want you both to tell me now. We're starting our run, sorry. This is what Hudson Young's going to happen. Where do you think we're going to finish? Where is on the ladder the point where you will be disappointed if we finish or below? At this point, I will take anything above the wooden spoon. Thankfully, Parameter and West Tigers. We got vlogged by the West Tigers, isn't that? We got vlogged by them. Thankfully, they've been vlogged. So, if we finish a new from 16th above, you're happy. 15 and above, I'll take it this point. We need to have a look at the ladder. 8 and above won't be happy with anything outside the finals. Won't be happy. This side has a final side, and I genuinely believe we can get a home final. Because you look at the team, so we're going to finish above the eels of the Tigers. We're going to finish above the eels of the Tigers. Rabbidoes are on the way up. Absolutely are. Titans are killed next weekend when they play against us. At which point they're going to lose, and they're going to be back on the way down. Titans are on the way up. Broncos will have to win a game sooner or later. And then the Warriors after it will probably be ahead of us on the ladder after this Friday. We end the Warriors run. We end the Rabbits run. We end the Dogs run. All of those, they're four-point games. Four-point games right there. Seagulls, four-point game. We beat the Warriors this weekend. You said about the Knights. You said about the Knights. Yeah, but I'm a huge fan of the Warriors. As you guys know, I've spent a lot of time in New Zealand in the last few years. I thought the Warriors were a top four side, and I still think that this year, in patches of 20 minutes, they've played top four football. They've been one of the most entertaining, dynamic sides. They've been hit by injuries more than basically almost any other club. Yeah. But they've also lucked in like Sean Johnson came back and he stank. You know, they just announced that Tohoo Harris is out for the season. Nicole Clux does not play in this weekend. Yeah. Well, look at the teams in Seagulls. I think, I think they've played such... He went off the ball when he signed his contract, right? But they play. Yeah, I think it's been a big play. But I also think, you know, it's that weird... This would be an interesting thing that we could probably put the question out to the listeners. The Warriors at the beginning of the season and late last year played some of the most dynamic, aggressive, up tempo, fast football in the NRL, and they couldn't maintain it this season. They've gotten multiple injuries. They've been up in games and lost. They've been behind in many games and almost come back. But if you watch their games and I've watched nearly all of them, they are an incredible side. They were flogging Melbourne and probably we should have gone on to win. And they just can't maintain it, like they've got this... I don't know whether they've trained too hard or whether they play this type of rugby league that's almost hard to maintain. But we saw it when we played them. They were... I watched them and it was the best game that we'd played and they played in the first month of football and we should have beaten them and then that awful decision with Taps was trying to the ball. Oh, my goodness. Oh, and we got robbed. But then I've watched them later games and they're terrible because they can't maintain it. And it's going to be interesting to see what happens because we'll get to the sides. They've got some incredible talent. But if we can put some pressure on that young fullback defensively, then we probably will get the points. Yeah, not let him. You know, he taught us he's a machine. Exactly. He tore apart our reserve grade side in New Zealand about three weeks ago. So there's a lot... Definitely really trying to headbutt him. He headbutt him, everyone that good. But, you know, but we've got our... We've probably got our best 17 that we've been able to put on the part for two and a half months of football. Sure enough, yeah. Sure enough. Well, let's look at that 17. Let's look at that 17 of what we're actually putting on the field and what they are putting on the field and examine it. So at the back in Kaya Weeks, it maintains the number one jersey, which is probably right because it's playing well. Jordan. Absolutely, shoot. Yeah, yeah. Absolutely, shoot. I think I look... Where do you see Kaya Weeks starting round one, 20-25? Well, at the moment, he's the fullback, isn't he? Look, the only person who's going to really challenge him for the spot now is... Chevy Stewart. Chevy Stewart and Chevy Stewart. Just give him a little bit more time. He's a kid. Give him a little bit more time in Regis, which is the way it's meant to go. And he will get there, you know he's going there. The kids are special, but right now it's Kaya Weeks. It's a tough one, eh? Because, like, if you watch if you watch Chevy Stewart in the New South Wales under 19th game, he tore it apart. Yeah, he did. But then goes back to the New South Wales Cup and hasn't done a lot since. But he just needs some time. Yeah, he just has to have experience. I haven't seen him do, aside from a game against other kids, really do anything of the same sort of, you know, explosive game-breaking. It's all there. It's going to be there. Just we'll just take our time. We'll just take our time. I definitely could go both ways, right? Like, it's hard. He's not going to be the fullback. Everybody knows he's not going to be the literal Mitchell that just beats everyone up. And clearly, he's stronger and faster and more developed in kids his own age. But when he steps up to grade, it's not the same. Yeah. But that was exactly the same with Dylan Edwards. Dylan Edwards needed about eight months of... And I've said this on the podcast before. I remember watching, I was in Melbourne working, and I remember watching Dylan Edwards' first-first grade game or second or third against this. And he was terrible. He dropped every bottom. Remember he got the yips? Yeah. And now... He doesn't know more. If I could offer you any fullback in the competition to come to the Raiders, who would you take? Like, and who would you take? Ris Walsh. No, no, it was... The kid up in North Queensland, Drinkwater. Would you? No, maybe not. I'd take Tom or I'd take Dylan Edwards. I'd take Tom if he was fit. He ain't. So I'd take him. But look, when we first saw Russell McMullen's 1990s coming through, he wasn't a gamebreaker, he wasn't busting it. He came through 1993, he's playing the sentence. He was okay, he wasn't a gamebreaker. It wasn't until '94 that we suddenly saw the player that he was going to become. We're expecting Chevy to come through and have those three years, like Brett Mullen's had, in order to get to that spot, already under his belt. I'm not detriting. I'm not detriting, but I'm not... I don't think it's a fader complete that he's going to be this superstar. And at this point in time, I've got Kai Awakes ahead of him. And Kai Awakes... Right now, I do too. And how good is that? How good is that that we've actually... Kai Awakes has stepped up to that position. We haven't had to fall back to it. Someone like, we're not going to set Chris or Jordan Ropner. Weeks has been fantastic this year. And I know he's not a LaTrell and he's not what we want Chevy to be. But when he's playing well, whether it was the game in Melbourne or the game against the Tigers, he was our best player. Yes, he's fun. And the other good thing in the game against the Knights was he actually managed to, you know, catch his bombs as well. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that was a great improvement. Look, going on with the side, we got Ropner in the two jersey. Awesome. You're going to be up against Dallen. There's a possibility of that. We've got Timiko in the three. So Ropner's played on the left against the Knights and Savage was on the right. But presumably, we've said Chris going back in the left, Senate, they'll swap again. I don't know if they will. I think they will. I think that's because of the Robin and Peter play pool. I reckon you might stick because if we could see Dallen, what knows the Lesney arc against Jordan Raffen, that's what everyone's doing. That's what people want to see. That's what everyone wants to see. They want to see two most irritating wingers. Apologies to Carl Feld up against each other. I don't know why you guys have an issue with DWZ. I have no problem with that guy. I don't. I love him in his song. Just for the record. So the listeners and we might only have like five listeners that who I hate, I hate Carl Feld, because he's got to say this. Seriously, I'm looking at you now, Blake. I can't see Port because he's hidden in the bowels of the there he is. Ronald Militalo. The location of which we'll never reveal. Ronald Militalo. Come on, man. Like that guy's awful. I actually hate Sienna Catelmo and the hate Renata Militalo. I like Renata Militalo. He gets up and he pushes. No, he's a dick. Gran Anderson raised himself above all those players from me when we last played the store. I hated him so much. He's my new, I hate you, man. Look, going on with the sides, a half year of ours is in the five. Then we go, Ethan, Dr. Strange is in the sixth. Jamal Fogarty. Welcome back, Jamal Fogarty in the seven. Then the forwards we have Tarponay and Papalee. We're Tom Starling in between them. Second row is Whitehead and Hudson Young. And Morgan Smith is in the 13th. On the bench, we have Levi Island in the 14th. Train Moon in 15. And if you haven't seen it, his Elvis impersonation dance is absolutely fantastic. Go to the site and have a look at it, camperator site. We got Adam Mary Adrian, 16. And we got Zach Hosking. Welcome back in the 17th Jersey. For the Warriors, we have two a Peaky in the number one Jersey, who we know has something to him. The kids are going. Wait against his last time. Yeah, he's a goer. We got DWS everywhere. He discussed. Love him or hate him. I think he's great. We got Leah Tower in the three Jersey. Is this his debut? It's not, is it? It's close. Then we got Pompey in the four Jersey. Now they've got listed Roger RTS. Roger, two of us to check in the five on the wing. I would doubt that. I would. I'd be very surprised if we don't see him in the centres, but you know, it could go that way. We got Harris to Vita in the six. We got Tomari Martin the seven. Both have been making good fist of it. They have been losing, but making good fist of it. It's weird that actually going better without Sean Johnson. Yeah, look, God, I thankfully. Yeah, well, you won't be there to keep Phil going for it tonight. Unbelievable. Someone else from the Warriors will have to. Adam, for Noah Blake, who's leaving the Warriors, but is leaving with a bang because he certainly hasn't dropped his work rate. He's probably still paying for Pound the best prop in the game at the moment. I think he's been a bit distracted this year. I think a lot of their problems, actually, the wheels kind of fell off when he got dropped for knots. You remember he didn't sing the same song, the victory song? He wasn't in the dressing rooms. And then so they dropped him the next week, and it seems like that sort of refractioned. Well, he'll come out. He wants to bring a dry off a forward pass against the Raiders. Yeah, Warriors are a weird team because one week they're getting pumped. What is it? 66 to 6 by the Titans. And then they come back in their winning. Like their form line is up and down, but it's better than ours. Well, they got Wade Eagan. He loves making a break against us at Hooker. With Mitchell Barnett, who definitely likes beating the Raiders. It's funny, Mitch Barnett making his origin debut this weekend. Remember when Ricky was safe? Finally, we could get some origin players in the squad. Paul Vaughn. Ricky punted. No, please. Mitch Barnett. Ricky didn't rate it. I'm going to have some long, long bows, but this is a pretty long one right now. It's as long as it gets. And one of the easiest positions to eventually make it as if you can run forward is a prop and be like, yeah, it's the hardest position in the sport. But if you can last. Mitch Barnett, I remember at the start of the year, we looked at him and he was named a prop. I was like, oh, Mitch Barnett really is starting prop. Jesus Christ, he's had a good year. He has to be their player of the year. That's for me. He has to be their player of the year. I just don't understand. It'll be him or Tomato Martin. I remember his debut at Bruce. And I was like, this guy's got a bit of the crazy about him. I like him. And then he played one or two games. And then we never sided him in the left thing. No, it was a lot smaller back then. He wasn't he wasn't that big. Yeah, it's not. But he's put on a lot of. I'm not quite right. There's a hot wire in his head. Oh, absolutely. If you see, there's that famous Toyota Cup brawl. Yeah. It's him and Nathan Brown. And who else? It's worth going back. It was worth going back. It's worth going. I'll get it off. They're Cora is in the 11. Cape Well is in the 12. We got Dylan Walker in the 13. Yeah. Now he's a disruptor right there. He plays really well for them in the middle, normally off the bench. But he normally plays that. He's starting there. He got 13. Freddie Lassick in the 14, who was actually starting to get some good form. Jackson Ford in the 15 has been playing well. Just a banger, likes screwing a tri against us. And Hallis Seema is the guy in the 17. Who I don't know too much about. Right. Matt, they've been there. I mean, we have a lot of history with this club. You know, like the Games of Fiery, we've put a couple of wins on them. We've obviously got a really good New Zealand multi-connection at the Raiders and we have for, you know, 40 years. But there seems to be a little bit of bad blood or good blood. Like they always step up when they play us. You know, if you think back to that, that god awful game where Sean, where they scored like the two or three tries in the last three minutes to beat us to brew stadium, he's back. Food field goals. And it was a trying to field goal and another field goal or something. It was anyway, it was one in 2020 and we rested the budget players. We finished it. Yeah, there's been a couple, but it wasn't that particular game. It was earlier in the season. But I worry when we played them, there's just something specifically, you know how like we always as Raiders fans who always say, "Oh, Benji plays good against us." Or Cardon Pongo plays good against us. It seems like the Warriors generally always do. And yeah, you know, they play an attacking style of football. And right now, the way, I mean, you got to commend them. They've lost Sean Johnson. They've lost Metcalf. You know, they don't have Nick O'Klukster. I mean, they almost beat Melbourne about three weeks ago when they had nine players out. Yeah. The funny thing is this year is they're playing better when Sean Johnson hasn't played. Yeah, no, he's done. He's done. He's way better. And the particular team, they play with such specific roles. Like I was saying earlier, like they play almost like Penrith on steroids. Like there's bodies in motion. There's always three or four guys running. That's why they can't keep it up for like longer than 20, 30 minutes stints. And they tend to let sides back in. Where if they get the role on with the referee, they can put on 18, 24 points very, very quickly. And what concerns me is, you know, you don't have a Sean Johnson in there. They will play to those positions on the field. You watch the first 12, you know, 15 minutes. They'll do kind of like what we want to do. Like they'll play to certain points in the field. Tamari Maarten will put up these semi-bombs, kind of like the ones that Ethan Strange does. And they'll tackle their arses off and I'll try and bash us. And then they'll rely on, we're tending to the Celesniac and Montoya to get yardage. Now, Montoya is not playing. Yeah. So, Montoya is not playing. So, two of us are Shek. Two of us are Shek's not that guy. He's better off the back of the open to back line, rather than playing out of the ruck. And not having nickel-click-start is a big loss for them, because they really rely on their back three, sometimes back five, like Penrith do. Now that they've got to a peaky, he's not like a Dylan Edwards. He's not like a yardage guy out of the back. He's like a little nippy dude at the front once they get into red zone attack football. Like the storm. What's what you're calling it? Yeah. Yeah. Katawa. Like foot. He's like, yeah, and four longer. He's like the storm kid, you know, like. And we've got one that game against the storm. So, they've lost a little bit of strike power. You know, if we can get under Dylan Walker's skin, Sony PlayStation, I like to call him. We should be able to at least get half of the film. The risk is he gets under our skin. And DWC gets under our skin, rather than us doing those things. That's the banger he annoys me, maybe because his name's Jazz. Jazz, yeah. Okay, so I fully expect. With faux eddy back, I fully expect to still win this weekend. Yeah. Well, the other, the other begin, of course, is Zach Husking. Here, we haven't talked about it at all. Well, I mean, he was great for us at the start of the year. I don't know, at his shoulder, you end up going down the rehab route, as opposed to getting the surgery. Because if you got surgery, that was him for the season. Whereas if you rehabbed it, you know, he came back. Which is now, which is on schedule, like round 20. Or was this round 21? I think so. Round 20, this is round 20. He came back round 20. Out of that, he's going to be 100%. Matt, do you know, does he still need to have surgery now at the end of the season? Like has the rehab just delayed the surgery? Yeah. Yeah. And then he'll probably, they're going to needle him up. For the rest of the year. Yeah. But the reason why they obviously decide for him to to go through the pain is that we have a chance to make the eight. Yeah. You know, so it's kind of, it's a slightly different injury, but it's very similar to what Souths have been trying to do with gyero. So gyero's playing under duress. And it got to the point where they were trying to nurse him until two players came back and then they sniffed it around the eight. Where if the bunny's lost two of the last five games and they've won four or five straight, he would just have that surgery because, you know, Hosking would be looking around one next year. But, you know, there's obviously a lot of moving parts in a side. And one of the reasons why I think Hosking is stuck around is because everybody knows that Whitehead's taped together with Papermasha. Yeah. Poor guy. And he's old. You're like, he's old as shit. He's hurting, man. Yeah. So what will happen is what happened actually last time. I think the Warriors game is the last time they played together. Ellie will start on the edge and then Hosking will come on. And then Ellie will come back on it. Yeah. Ellie will happen in the Warriors game. Yeah. And Ellie didn't have a good start at all. That was one of his poor games. I mean, missed a couple of... It was actually interesting. It wasn't during the week where the media asked Ellie, "Who's going to start?" And he's Hosking going to start. And Ellie said, "Oh, I don't know if he's going to start or not. Ricky hasn't told us." I don't think he means. Elliot's starting. Yeah. There's no way. And so actually in that game, when Ellie came back on at the back end of the game, he went to 13 when we were chasing points. He actually looked a lot better this point. Oh, I like him in the middle. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, he's got a bit of... He's got a bit of ball playing. You may like in the front row right side. Not just... He wasn't taking hit ups. He wasn't taking... He wasn't taking the first hit up off a kickoff, Tim. He's also vocal. You know what I mean? The amount of talk that he does gives confidence to the other players. Look what happened to the Manly game. And that wasn't because of what Ellie could do physically. It was because of what he did. You know, off the ball. And then it just happened to be one of those weird games where he scored two tries. But... No, I think obviously we're missing horse and Pissami Solo is still not back. But we're almost... That's a weird one isn't Pissami Solo. It's like, what the hell is going on there? I don't know. And the other one... It feels like we're not going to see him for the rest of the season. No, and the other one is... C.H.N. I think that's... I think he's... You know, we don't know for sure, but you have to think. Well, in the AFL, they are routinely retiring players at a central point where the AFL is doing it and they're retiring players. The NRL hasn't got to that point yet, but I don't think it's too far away where they're actually going through protocol today. So I might out of insurance doesn't cover it. This is the last year that Cori is actually... Contracted for, isn't it? How do we earn our... I think it's next year as well. I mean, without trying to talk on presumption, because I'm not exactly certain, but also you don't want to talk about people's in a livelihood when it comes to their health. And aligned, obviously, with their profession. But we haven't had any compensation. No, you know, like... If we were the roosters, you'd think... No, he's got another... He's got another... He's got 2025 under contract. And an option for 26. Yeah. I think that's something he has to be done. He has to get a pay out. So... What is there a justification for our medical retirement choice? Oh, dude. I'd like to see him take that option. So he gets paid. Yeah, absolutely. Rate is go to the NRL and say, "What are you going to do?" So then we can sign a mat in Nicholson without the salary cap pressure. Yeah. And that might have already happened. You know, like, some of those things probably do happen, but we just don't hear about it. Yeah. Of course. There's no reason to have... Yeah, exactly. And the raiders don't benefit off being a media release by saying, "Oh, actually, we're paying mat in Nicholson an extra two on the ground, because we're not going to..." You know, like, that shit could be actually happening. We probably should ask Benny Pollock if we get him back on, or... But, you know, it's sad. Like, I was a huge fan of "How to Win another," you know? Yeah, huge fan. Yeah. Well, talking about huge fan is that we need to do the segment that is the most popular segment on the show. The extended bench! Who's on the extended bench? And this week is... It's an absolute cracker. We've got Adam Cook in the '18 Jersey. We've got Albert Hoppawade in the '19. We've got Simi Songi in the '20, and we've got Zach Allford in the '21 and Emeray Goulburn in '22. What an extended bench that is. Then, for the Warriors, they got Tom Arlay, they got Buntia Foa. Big Buntia Fauci. You're big Buntia. He's on the extended bench. He's got Edward Cauci. Now, what the problem with Buntia Faro is? What? He's like the pork. He's only good for about 10 minutes. Edward Cauci in the '21. They got Graham Taufa in the '22. It's an amazing 10 minutes, though, isn't it? It's unbelievable. It's fantastic. It's an amazing 10 minutes, your life. And that's right. It's true. And they got Jacob Laban in the '23. Look, this is no disrespect, but we've got two players there who've been regular first-grade players, and they've got one. That's actually a bit more even, I think. We also got one that played in a Graham final. Yeah. Emeray. Yeah, that's right. I'm giving that one to the Raiders. I'm giving the extended bench the Raiders. But, look, some people argue with me, right, and say that, in fact, the extended bench is not the most popular. Segment on the show. They think it's, "Ah, it's going out of the week!" Okay, and my last plan of the week, this week, right, is a special one. And it goes out there to Luciata Hilleloua, for sticking his finger in to a polluto's mouth in the tri celebration. What the hell was he thinking? It was one of the grossest things you've ever seen. I mean, what is that even meant to mean? I mean, you're on TV. You've just had a tri swan. Oh, thanks for trying to see it. Is this tri-chalae? No, no, no, no, I'm glad it's not tri-chalae. No, no, it's tri-chalae. That's why they're doing all the celebrations. Okay, well, if it is, if it is... That's gold, yeah, that was the... What the hell is that meant to be and symbolize sticking your fingers? What's it meant to symbolize? Sticking your fingers in your teammate's mouth? What is that meant to symbolize? You used to do a bit... You'd be the right age to have done a few. That's gold on the field when you were playing as youngster when you met. Did you do a few, that's gold? My friend of mine, actually, friend of mine, released the single of chief. You know, we get a cover of Spandot Ballet. That's gold. Always been... I think you're doing the songs. Always. I want to play it. Always believing in... That's gold. You got the pallet. No, you're in the strict rules. Always believing... Okay, my last clown is... I'm going to go couple. It's been a few weeks since we had mentioned this guy on the show. Talk about David Fieder. Oh yeah. Large and David Fieder is not the arse clan. He's not. It's Billy Slater for not picking him surely. You're beating up in the forward. Surely there's room for David Fieder in your best 17. Apparently he didn't have a very good preseason. He's had a good season, David Fieder. Yeah. He's two season with six months ago. I know. But Fieder has gone missing and matches before. He has. Yeah, but impact at origin. You think he's playing in the middle? You think he's going to go missing? I mean, he can come out enough for picking him. They'll still win. And most people might listen to this after the game, but the referee will all be listening to this after the game. And to be honest with you, no rate is in origin. My interest level in this third game is at an all-time low. Right. Yeah. I mean, I'll still watch it. I'll still watch it, but I don't really, like I'm not that passionate or my own other. Right. You wouldn't enjoy seeing Billy Slater lose. Anyway, he's asking the other ask plan is, I don't mind Billy, so I mean, I used to hate him when he played the song. I don't mind him. You wouldn't hear him over the head with a lead pie. I don't quite like the fact that he's not an idiot in the way that he gets asked these stupid questions in press conferences. He just calls out these BS journalists and they're crap. I respect him for that. My other ask plan, speaking of crap journalist, Paul Kent, what an idiot. So it's, he's done. It's, it's official. He's no longer returning to Fox Sports or in New Zealand. Right. Yeah. He's, he's, he's finished. I mean, the guy would have been on, what, half a million a year, you reckon? Easy between his two gigs. Wouldn't want to speculate. At least I'd say at least 500,000 a year. And the, you know, he's blown it all. I mean, I'm sure he'll, he'll turn up in some sort of... He'll be on 2GB or something. He'll be on some, he'll sky news. He and Aaron Mullen can host a show. Yeah. I mean, don't you ever go at Aaron Mullen? She's friend of mine. She's a good person. He said she's on Sky News, Tim. That's all she's no turn on anymore. She's on Sky News. And 2GB, funnily enough. Okay. Who's your ask plan, apart from Blake? Matt. Matt, mine's all the, the stupid punditry about that. I want to say good and tell us like, who gets rugby league and you watch, you watch any media around the state of origin. It's just impossible to watch because it's boring. I've actually had, I've actually listened a lot less podcast and, and, and like I say, I like watching the game, but all the talk around it, I don't reckon. It's just crap, you know, and it's people trying to drum up hatred or ownership, patronage of who, who, who particularly gets the sport more. I can't stand it, I can't stand it, you know. So, to me, just play the game, whoever wins wins, let's go back to the competition and, yeah, but it's watch some of our young stars develop and, and you know, hopefully we can make the eight maybe win one game. And if not, we can just watch them continue to grow in the next year, because, you know, we're building something different. Yeah, the Raiders. Let's get state of origin out of the way out of the way. And so the Broncos can get back to winning. Yeah. Because it really upsets me that it lost six games in a row, games in a row. How? I know, you know, you know, what's happened is everyone, starting to realise Kevin Wilder can't coach. This players have been quite outspoken about that fact. And you know, you look at how we've gone without Jamal Foggy. Well, look how they've gone without Adam Reynolds. So, yeah. Yeah. Actually, Kevin, Kevin Walters can be my arse clown for an ex- camber Raiders teammate, a Ricky Stuart, someone who understands the levity of the position of the next immortal to claim that Alan Langer should be the next immortal, piss off. You know what I mean? Ron Koot, Brett Kenny, there's, there's, there's at least a dozen before Alan Langer, in my opinion. Ron Koot is definitely the name. You can't, for mine, you cannot be, Ron Koot is for mine, the next one. Alan Langer is not the next. Peter Sterling is the name I didn't hear you mentioned, but he won four grand finals. He played for New South Wales and Queensland, one of the best halfbacks I've ever seen. And I think better than Bert. Mate, Brett Kenny, Brett Kenny won, how many grand finals for Parramatta, and then St. Helens, state of origins. He didn't, he burts the next after Ron Koot, in my opinion. But he still has better. Yeah, fair enough. But it ain't our main. No, Brett Kenny, they had to head when he played six against Wally instead. Well, I think he actually had a winning record of Wally. Exactly. In that period. Right. In that period. Yeah. I might be completely wrong. No, you're not. Brett Kenny was undisputed. He was undisputed when he played for New South Wales and when he played for Parramatta. They used to play, yeah, they used to play Wally at Locke, sometimes for Australia, just to accommodate Bert. We've got merch. We do have merch. Hang on, hang on, I don't know. You're really falling behind because Okay, for mine, Seb Chris back. Seb Chris. Prove it. Prove it, Seb. He picked up a knock a couple of weeks ago. He picked up a knock. He wasn't dropped because no, I'm never getting up. No, he picked up a knock. Emory Gore is going back to New South Wales Cup to get more minutes. Seb Chris is back. Seb Chris is back. Hopper, I think, got dropped on the basis of that miss on day and day guy. And so Seb Chris has got his chance, but he's got to just, he's got to lift. He's got to lift. He's got to show us what we love in Seb. Seb, he can be the best thing I've ever built. Isn't it weird? Like when he played full back in the manly game, he was amazing. Yeah, but since he's only a good game this year, he's showing glimpses, but that's an effort thing. Yeah, like he could do that at center. Just it's like he's it's like we're watching a shy rugby league player. They're not getting ball because when Fogarty went, the ball they're getting is dirty and late and the defenders are right on top. He's on the left. Yeah, but they've both been struggling for that that ball getting it. And that's why to become Chris have dropped off is because I've got Danny Levi. Well, obviously everyone does. Do you got anyone else on these lifts there, Matt? Danny Levi. Probably right. Yeah, yeah. No, no, I've got a I've got a true one. And this will spark everybody. Morgan Smith, he's has to lift. Yeah, actually had pretty good stats on the weekend 30. Yeah, it's like it's like the one miss, not bad. It's like the stats, but it's not about the misses 30 needs to be an impact play. This needs to engage the line more. Yeah, yeah. I was watching I was watching some rugby league on the weekend and it was it was Jesus Christ. It was bloody Nathan Brown. Nathan Brown's been out standing this year. You know, and I'm not trying to stop. Yeah, he plays half back for Italy, Nathan Brown. But I'm not talking about Isaiah. Yo, I'm not talking about, you know, kind of Watson. I'm not talking about Murray. It was Nathan Brown and Nathan Brown. And that's been exceptional this year. Engaging the line on the manly 30 meter line and then because he engaged the marker and the a defender and then he hit his half back and then DC engaged his man, straightened it and hit his man. Tom Devoy rich pulled them apart. He was getting their, their outside. There was three on twos, two on ones, four on threes, constantly because Nathan Brown engaged the line. We don't have that. Yeah, run harder, run harder, pass later, run harder, pass later. That's it. In spite, in spite of all your negativity boys, because it has been very negative for me, I've been very positive. I think you'll notice there are in fact reasons to be cheerful. Reasons to be cheerful, pathway. And I'll give you one, Bugity's back. Yeah, that's the obvious one. Number one, Bugity's back. Number two, Zach Husking is back. And number three, and you've already mentioned it, Bronco's losing six in a row. These are reasons to be cheerful, people. Anything to add on that one. My hemorrhoids aren't as bad as they were a few weeks ago. That's good. That's always good. That's always good. You can cut that. That was the warm weather. The warm weather. Is it like 38 degrees there or 100 and something? Is it 100 degrees? No, it's not 100 degrees, but I'll tell you right now what it is. I mean, don't mean that night, but I mean, just generally. You want Fahrenheit or Celsius? No one wants Fahrenheit, Matt. All right. Right now, it is 18 degrees. That hasn't made 18 degrees here today. It's late at night and it's 18 degrees. Tomorrow it's going to get to 28. Nice. That's good. But we do, in fact, as the Blarke alluded to, we do have merch. We have Blarke. We've down to our last, I think, four or five, rated by 56 beanies. I would like to tell you that Lord Funkington repped the raiders by 56 beanie at the Collingwood Geelong Match at the MCG the other day. Really, it's unrecognized. It gets spotted by a few times. There were people lining up, but we managed to keep the guards, to keep them at bay. They're just here to watch the football guys. They're just here to just let them happen. Do you stick up any bike in the park? Stick is it? All MCT? Over the place, up in the president's room. Everywhere. It's nice. Give on to Eddie McGuire. No, I didn't see him. Saw a lot, but not him. All right. And also, of course, we got shirts. We just dropped our new shirt. That's not us. That's not us. Perfect to wear. Perfect to wear after a loss. Yeah. So, stock up now. You may need a payment season. Yeah. That's not us. I'm sending one to Rick. Yeah. I've got a package. I'm going to drop it off the Raiders HQ. I've got a Raiders by 56 beanie for Benny. And that's not us. For Rick. For Rick. And he can just wear it to the press conferences. Yeah, he could. That's not us. That's not us. That wasn't us. What is it? That wasn't us. That wasn't us. It's a great T-shirt. It's well-conceived. We should have been me. And unfortunately, it was Blarke. He came up with that one. But yeah, going out there and buy it as well as the, and this is our good friends at the rugbyleaguemerch.com. Go out there and buy it. If you hate Jordan Raffner, I hate you T-shirt as well. Knowing that we're not making any profits, we're sending this right away. Family of League. Family of League gets all the profits, which is what we're looking for. Look, go online for goodness sake and subscribe, Spotify, SoundCloud, where else are we? Apple. Apple music. Go on there. Subscribe, rate and review. Give us a five-star rating. You can tell us, you know, how much you dislike us. But yeah, look, late-breaking news is, unfortunately, that David Morrow, the ABC commentator, and the man who magnificently called the Ricky Stewart breakaway tribe. I want to try one of the great pieces of commentary of all time. That's right up there with, I kind of spoke. It really is. Anyway, unfortunately, David Morrow, who was the man who gave me my very first sideline down in Melbourne in 2012, has unfortunately passed away. And our sympathies here at Rageview, with Blake and the Pork and Matt, his family and all his friends, because thirsty was a legend at the ABC and also at GB and also on Channel 10, where he did that commentary. Like to drink. Like to drink. And like I said, gave me my very first sideline, so I'll be forever grateful to him for that. So, la la, David. That's a very somber moment to leave the Bitcoin cast on. It is. It is. Sad news, sad news. Coming up after this round, we've got Souths at 615 on Sunday. I just realised that was the time, so I had vision. Just an idea to freeze us to death. Yeah. And that's the Jack Wharton revenge game. It was good to see him. Welcome back, Jack. It's good to see him on last weekend. I'm still enjoying watching him watch, and I still go for him. Like I can't help, but he's Jack. Look, he's played really well lately. He's actually played well at 6 for Souths. I've gone a lot better since he went to 6, even though Ricky always knew he was a sinner. He's been looking good at 6, although it was enjoyable to watch him fail to find touch from him, Pelti. Oh, that was right. Like what do you expect? No, but like they didn't have a 6, and now they've got one, Jack. He's playing there. He's going to Jack. Then we've got, we go away on Sunday the 4th of August on Sunday again at 4.05 against the Bulldogs. That's once at Bellmore. Bellmore. That would be a great game to be at. I've been to a Bellmore match. Yeah, I've been to a couple of Bellmore games. I went to one multicultural day. Yeah. I was actually sort of on TV. No, you're the multicultural person there. That's funny. Plenty of multicultural people in Bankstown. The best thing about games at Bankstown is that when you kick a conversion at one end, it ends up on the train tracks. Yeah, that's right. I went actually up on a rated supporter's bus. I think it was 1985. And Tony Wood, AKA Vic to the Viking, was the man organizing the bus? No. Quite an eye-opening experience. Is that 13, 14-year-old unaccompanied? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Mate, this is me. You used to catch that bus from the Bellcon and interchange, with that one where you bought your ticket and your bus ride all in the one thing at the interchange. All the way to see if it by myself and back. And yeah, I saw things in 1982 and '83. I saw things. And then lastly, in three rounds away, coming back home, Saturday, 10th of August at home against the Seagulls at 3 p.m., going to be a huge match, because that will signify when we win that four wins on a row for the mighty camperators on our run. Three out of four of our next games are at home. Yeah, on our run, considering our home record. The pork told you it's going to happen. The pork told you it's going to happen. We're on the way to a home final, pork told you it's going to happen. You can take that back. We don't want a home final. You can take it back. Our home form's terrible. We beat the South Sydney Rabbidos and the pre-limit home. Yeah, you're right, though. We have been terrible at home, haven't we? We beat Parramatta. And we just beat the Titans. Yeah, we did, sure. Anyway, you have been listening to the podcast formerly known as the third most popular Raiders podcast on the internet. Raiders review with Blake and the pork and Matt on the pork. I'm Blake. I'm Matt. And we'll talk to you again soon. [Music] [Music] [Music] After the rush has gone, I hope you find a little more time. Remember, we were partners in crime. There's only two years to go. The man was soon at the pace. You know that he was there on the cage. Now he's in love with you. He's in love with you. But love is like a prison wall. But you believe it's not a soda. Let's go. Always believe you, I'm not sure. If you've got a hundred and a fist, you're indestructible. Always believe in your score. Now that you're bound to return, the subject you should learn. You're indestructible. Always believe in your score. Let's go. Let's go. My love is like a prison wall. There's nothing left to make me feel for. But you believe me, I don't know. Let's go. Always believe in your score. If you've got a hundred and a fist, you're indestructible. Always believe in your score. Now that you're bound to return, the subject you should learn. You're indestructible. Always believe in your score. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. You [BLANK_AUDIO]
