Aristotle, Rhetoric Book 2 - Three Modes Of Slighting - Sadler's Lectures
This lecture discusses key ideas from the ancient philosopher Aristotle's work of moral theory, the Nicomachean Ethics.
Specifically it focuses focuses on Aristotle's Rhetoric, and examines his discussion in book 2 about the three main modes of slighting (oligoria), the perception of which on the part of the angered person produces anger. These three modes are contempt (kataphronesis), spitefulness (epereasmos) and insult (hubris).
