This lecture discusses the 18th century philosopher, theologian Joseph Butler's Sermon 9, Upon Forgiveness of Injuries and focuses on the example of Christ and teachings of Christianity about the need for human beings to forgive each other. He reminds his readers and listeners that a person who is unwilling to show another mercy cannot expect it from God
