This lecture discusses the 18th century philosopher, theologian Joseph Butler's Sermon 9, Upon Forgiveness of Injuries and focuses on how the emotion of anger and our self-love tend to produce affective and cognitive distortions. He uses the metaphor of distorting lenses, which we can then adjust for when we realize these effects.
