This lecture discusses the 19th century German Idealist philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer's work, On The Basis of Morality, and focuses on the reasons he presents for people being skeptical about the existence of genuine morality. Schopenhauer does not think that these are ultimately correct or convincing, but he does view them as needed to be taken seriously.
