Yeah, I was very impressed with their game overall And it starts with the defensive end. They had a lot of steels cause a lot of havoc programming that they couldn't recover from Yeah, did a great job. All right. We get to pick players of the game from both sides And really there were two very deserted. Well, there were a lot there were a lot on the kinksley side But uh the two that were very deserving Um on the kinksley stags side. It had to be skylar workmen I mean throughout the whole game We talked about how his name fit him because he was working on the defensive end The offensive end doing a great job with deflection steels rebound scoring I mean he did it all for his team, didn't he? If he didn't have a triple double it was pretty darn close and I think uh if he didn't have 10 rebounds I'd be surprised but he easily had probably 10 steels Yeah, and and the fact is the kid he He he came to work tonight and i'm sure he has all year long We have not heard much about him since we played them the last time. So you know what Maybe maybe this is an omen a heck of a run and football You don't know what this basketball team could be capable capable of and it's going to be interesting to see how they do All right, and that is your kinksley stag nccu player of the game Are greatly viking player of the game. I don't know what he ended up with officially, but uh, I think I had him for 21 Yeah, uh tristan demlo at 21 points and really we're more impressed with the rebounding. Aren't we? Yeah, yeah, I think I think he wound up with nine and he might have had a double double with 10, but you know tristan just He he was rolling tonight and it was pretty tough to see him kind of Uh, you know get off the court the last time knowing that he's only a junior and he's gonna be playing next year It's just the fact of uh, it was tough to see him, but you know heck of a game he played A heck of a season for our boys. It was like a roller coaster folks And but you know what they can't hang their head They absolutely can't hang their head and I know they won't Uh, their coaches won't let them and uh one of their coaches is making the long walk around the walking track right now Uh trying to get to us. So i'll just let you talk about your uh team right now Yeah, um, obviously frustrated disappointed We didn't show tonight. There's some uh Young men in there that uh that are a little bit hurt But uh good life lesson out of this one tonight, you know team that competes the people you compete in life Uh are successful Uh, they didn't compete tonight. We didn't compete at the level that needed didn't get after loose balls Uh and the other team played with way more energy And more passion and uh when that happens it's tough to win Absolutely and uh just um talk a little bit about uh the future. You got uh, you got a lot of guys coming up from that jb team Um, we we got some good size. You got austin schwartz and of course daniel hunter already there And uh, you got david niel coming up. Just talk a little bit about the team in the future Yeah, the uh the jb squad this year showed a lot of growth, you know, coach nicholas did a good job with them and Uh, they showed a lot of growth and uh Uh that being said we have a couple nice little guards and you know, um Jackson marshall second year of basketball who just plays with a lot of energy and uh, and uh, the amount of growth he showed is fantastic Uh, david niel presents a force of uh the guy that could be go inside and outside You know you guys called the game this year and you saw a little bit about uh, uh, uh, Austin and uh In daniel, daniel's under the weather with something right now and so we need to get a lot of minutes tonight and uh, struggling But uh, you know, then miles beat is uh, he had himself a season down there and uh Showed great leadership and uh ability to knock down shots and so Uh, we have we have a group of kids. You know, uh, noor gabra who is one that Uh, i'm never going to have to worry about not leaving it out there on the floor. Yep Um, he's going to be one that dives after loose balls and just gets after it and so uh, there's some toughness coming and uh Uh, look forward to that Um, you know, hopefully these guys will put in their time to continue to grow Uh, because just when they started to grow and looking like things were getting, you know, uh, going for Seasons done. Yep. And so jew is not very far away and summer ball begins and uh, you turn the page to the next group All right, coach. Well, um, i'll just uh, leave it in your court Uh, just anything else you want to say about the team, uh, i know that uh, this is a disappointing loss But uh, just uh, i mean you ended the season With the five-game lane street going into the night and uh, you know, and i know i know you don't want to talk about mattox It's your son, but uh, i went through the same thing i directed my kids In plays all the way through high school and i know that's tough emotionally, but uh, anything else you want to say? No, it's i mean to be honest. It's not just a mattox thing i've spent a lot of time with these guys in the senior group and Um, you know, three of them have been with me for three years at the varsity level and one of them is a five-quarter in that one and uh, so it's tough uh, it's tough and uh, not the way that uh We wanted to be here tonight and you know that being said at only one team, uh, per division ends up uh, went in their last game and uh, tonight we didn't have it so Uh, in terms of those seniors, you know, and there i just hey, thank you Appreciate the time and effort that they put in and uh, reiterate the the fact that uh, it didn't go our way But uh, it doesn't change anything and uh tell those guys every day that i love them So i loved him with that. Awesome. Look, look forward to their successes in the future. Awesome. All right Coach, thank you.
