Jenin camp ‘uninhabitable’ and US redesignates Houthis as terrorist organisation

The occupied West Bank's Janine refugee camp has become "almost uninhabitable" on quote, the U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees has said. Bill and Friedrich, director of Anurwa Affairs for the West Bank, said 2,000 families have been displaced since mid-December, and that the agency had been unable to provide its full services in the area. On Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump issued an executive order designating Yemen's Houthis as a foreign terrorist organization, reversing a decision by former President Joe Biden. The White House said the Trump administration would work to, quote, "cooperate with its regional partners to eliminate the Houthis' capabilities and operations, deprive them of resources and thereby end their attacks on U.S. personnel and civilians, U.S. partners, and maritime shipping in the Red Sea," unquote. And U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the Trump administration was committed to supporting Israel during a call with Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday. Mr. Rubio spoke to Mr. Netanyahu to, quote, "unescore that maintaining the United States's steadfast support for Israel is a top priority for President Trump," unquote, said State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce.
