Mobile Mornings - Senator Tommy Tuberville joins the show - March 14, 2025
[MUSIC] >> News, sports, weather from Dr. Bill Williams, traffic info from Kane, and one of the Gulf Coast's most familiar voices. It's Mobile Mornings with Dan Brennan and Dalton R. Wig. [MUSIC] >> Morning from Dan and Dalton at the M. Talk 10065. So happy you're along and feel free to vote for us in the Nappy Awards. That voting is open now for nominations to go vote nappy's dot-com. >> That's right, all right. So if I had the address, then you would vote, but Dalton's got it. It's 807 and a special guest on the line right now from the US Senate. >> That's right, Senator Tommy Tubberville joins us. And it is a pleasure to have him on. Good morning, Senator. >> Good morning, how's the weather down there? >> Right now, it's foggy, it should be a decent day today. Tomorrow's looking really rough. Tomorrow's looking like it could be a tough day for much of the state. And then by Sunday things turn around and next week, golf and weather straight through, coach. >> [LAUGH] >> Well, I wish to have a chance to play golf up here. You don't get much of a chance. We will probably vote late tonight on this CR, and then hopefully get to come home in the morning. We have our first week off in the last, I guess, close to 70, 80 days. So come home and do some work in the state. But I saw the weather, it didn't look real good the next couple of days. Been big good basketball, watching weather. >> Yeah, and we did want to touch on that before we get to these many issues we have to get to Auburn, Ole Miss, a couple of schools you know well. But we're the Auburn flagship here in Mobile, or I should say we're the Auburn station representing Mobile, a big game today, but they're all big games from here on out, right? >> You know what, I've been 1999, I got to Auburn and I had a pretty decent team, but didn't have a lot of people there. I went to the game on Saturday against Alabama. And the athletic ability of both of those teams were just, I was shocked. But you know, just a lot of those kids need to be playing football. But I'll tell you what, the guards on both teams, the SEC has come a long way in basketball and have pretty much captured the country. But yeah, there'll be some good games this weekend and then starting next week. We'll have the big tournament starting. And I would imagine one team, I don't know who it's going to be from the SEC is probably going to win it all. >> Coach, it's that's funny that you said what you said knowing the high school football coaches around here so well if you watch a basketball game and you're looking at all these football players that should be playing basketball. That's the way the coach thinks, right? >> Yeah, you think that. And of course, it's hard to play two sports. Once you get to about nine to 10th grade, you got to make your decision. But just the athletic ability and quickness of those kids last week, I was just, I was amazed and really was and it's great to see them before I get into the NCAA tournament. And of course, Auburn and Alabama, it's going to be a fun tournament to watch. >> Coach, you, of course you mentioned the first break for the Senate coming up. It has been peddled to the medal since President Trump retook the Oval Office. And you're on all these committee assignments. I know you had this meeting with the Alabama League of Municipalities earlier this week, a lot of the local officials and mayor city leaders meeting with you up there and you're talking with them about everything you have going on. So was Senator Britt, you're on so many committees, armed services, health, education, labor, pensions, agriculture, vets affairs. How are you, how are you able to get all that done? I mean, that's a lot of work. >> About 15, 18 hours a day is how you get it done. And of course, we're in the minority under the Biden administration course. That was, that was a catastrophe, you know, and we're finding out now how they cook the books and a lot about everything in the world. Joe Biden was, was not signing anything or somebody else was doing it for him. And our country was in a tailspin and I told people that we're in trouble. And to be a Democrat, you just, all you know is how to spend money and then, and how to, how to print money. And that's rough, you know, during the Biden administration of the last three or four months, we were printing $80,000 a second to keep the country afloat. >> Wow. We, we, we, yeah, we couldn't, we can't sustain that. President Trump has got us back doing things the right way. You can't run a business and that's all this country is, is a huge business. And he knows what he's doing, the tariffs are going to get manufacturing back. We, you know, I get calls weekly now about out of country manufacturing, wanting to move to Alabama and which then we've got to continue to sell that. But it's going to be a good time. We just got to get to some of these tough points in terms of getting DE out of our schools, we got to get our education back. We got to get our military back. We got to close our borders and we got to stop this, this nonsense of, of letting these criminals go in the front door and not the back door and not prosecuting them. It's, it's a tough time for our country, but we've got a new person that's in charge. And I'm going to tell you what, he, he doesn't sleep much. No, he, he does not, I would, Donald and I've talked about this. I've never seen an administration come in and the first thing they had to do full just throttle was to clean up with the prior had done. And that's what's going with these, with these, the deportations. So at least that's going on. As chairman of the subcommittee on personnel under the, under armed services, what are the challenges you're looking at right now? Coach, as far as military personnel and their families, just say for the coming year. Yeah. Well, first thing we're doing is basically put me in charge of recruiting because that's what I've done a lot. Yeah, true. And Pete, Texas and our good friends, the new secretary of defense and we all understand it. We have to have a volunteer army that really wants to be there for, for the right reasons not to just collect the paycheck, which they don't make a lot of money anyway. But so what we're going to do is, first thing I'm going to do, I'm going to hear him when we get back here in a couple of weeks with all of our academies, an Army Navy Air Force Academy and read our supervisor's a right act. We're not going to have DEI in our schools. We're going to teach kids about education and about patriotism or constitution and how and why we protect our country and it's going to be their job as leaders. And so that's one and I'm fighting to get more money for our war fighters. You know, we pay these people up around the hill, these bureaucrats, $100, $150,000 to either set it home or not do anything and we're over bloated and that's what doge is doing. But you have a young man or woman that gets in the military, the starting pay is $28,000. Are you kidding me? That's got to change. We cannot look forward to have a volunteer military and Army protect our country at that rate. Here at Bernie Sanders talking about we need $20 an hour minimum wage for people who are working with McDonald's. But you never hear them saying anything about the military. They love other people's militaries across the country, like a world like Ukraine and some of these other people and they want to fund them but they don't want to fund our young men and women to fight and train for our country. So they got everything out of whack. And a nice early boost to the Army recruiting numbers in here in Alabama, the National Guard, picking it up as well. I want to ask you about a bill that your bill, it's been a hot topic in DC and around the nation, protection of women and girls in sports act. Now every Democrat in the Senate voted against it back earlier this month, the public seems to support that. You look at the polling. They don't want to see men and women's sport. What's the disconnect here with the Democrat party? Where does that bill stand now also? Well we don't have a Democrat party anymore. I don't know where they've gone and it's caused a leadership, Chuck Schumer's, he's a phony. Okay. And his pushes out, pushes all these narratives on, on his side of that are absolutely got them in trouble. Why would you not as a leader to look at that going, you know, we just got our butts handed to us because one was because of allowing men and women's sports. Let's get this all replaced nine or 10 of you vote for this. Let's get on with life. He told everyone I'm the vote against it and he said, if you don't, I'm not going to give you campaign money. So that shows you the thinking behind the former Democratic party. I don't know what you call these people now because they come from another planet. If you believe that it is proper and safe for a man to participate against a woman or a boy to participate against a girl, you got huge problems. I don't care what they say it is dead wrong and we're going to try to get it done again in here in another year. Space command, coach. What do you think? We're going to get it back. Every time I see president Trump, he'll look at me say, coach, you ain't got to bring it up. I don't know what you're going to bring up. That's funny. And, yeah, and matter of fact, I was going to close to go down and play golf within this weekend and I just, I got to go home. I got to go, I'm got a new granddaughter, I'm looking forward to going to stay in her. But you know, we got to get a secretary of air force in because that's the person that really evaluates all these new reviews that we've done with your vice mayor on our side. So keep them in fingers crossed. We'll see what happens here probably in the next three or four weeks. So now we know that the grandbaby, Trump's Trump, right, coach, 100 percent, 100 percent. No doubt about it. Coach, also a lot of people, we're hitting some, some of the favorites here. Todd wants to know about the daylight savings time bill. That's of course topical this week and I know you've been talking about this a lot as well. Yeah, I tried to get president Trump to pull one in the, in the state of the union. Hey, just get up there and say, you know, we're starting daylight savings time on Sunday. We're going to leave it that way for four years with an executive order and see how it works out. I got to him too late on that, he believes in it because he's an outdoor guy. He loves, you know, obviously play golf and things like that and he understands the farmers really need that. They need that extra hour or something like, and I think it's better for everybody's health to come home and have an opportunity to get home at five or six o'clock. Hey, you still got an hour and a half or so to get out and work in your yard or whatever. Yep. But I still got some selling to do on him. When you pull it, it's about a 65, 35 proposition that people want daylight savings time more than standard time. So I've got to put my recruiting on president Trump here in the next, next couple of months. But you know, he's up to zero navigators right now fighting wars all over the world. Yes. Trying to get, trying to get our economy back, trying to find out where all the money has been going, which we're finding out slowly. You know, I meet with Elon Musk about once a week. He told me the other day I was doing a Larry Cutlow on Fox Businesses. He was right after me and I was talking to him. He says, "Toach there's some things that we found that if I told you, you'd have to get a lot more security to go back to the, you know, the capital and do your job." And that's how bad it is. And so it'll slowly come out. We will. They're not, those and president Trump not will hide anything, they just want to make sure that they do the right thing and get everything a hundred percent correct before they put it out there, unlike our democratic colleagues, it just goes stuff on the wall and see what sticks. Yeah. So all these cuts and tariffs and some people are concerned that some of this moving in such a fast pace may have an adverse effect on Alabamians. What do you think about all that? Yeah. It's going to have effect on everybody. But here's the deal. We're 36th street in debt. We can't. There's no way that we can pay that debt off by the American taxpayers. We don't have enough money in this country to pay it off in our lifetime, even if we just didn't spend any money on anything else. We've got to make sure the people across the country that have taken advantage of us for hundreds of years start to pay in their first year. It's like we've had a big party and we throw the big party year round in the United States and we invite all these people to come, but they don't bring anything of food or cake or pie or wine or whatever. They don't bring anything. It's all on us. They just take advantage of us. Yeah. It's all on us. But now we have got, these people got to step up and smell the roses here and they will. President Trump knows that, but also tariffs will force manufacturing back in our country. I have gotten just a call after call. Coach, we won't talk to you about moving to Alabama. This graphite plant or a car manufacturer in part parts or gravel, it's just amazing. The phone calls we're getting now because they know they're not going to make any money out of the country to send it back. They've got to do it in our country and that's how it should work. So there's a plan, guys, let me tell you something. There was zero plan for four years on about zero. And President Trump came in, he got a great cabinet, he got a great assistant coaching staff, that's what I call him. They have a game plan and they're going to stick with it and it's going to work, but it's the only chance we got. There's nothing else we could do. Yeah. Coach, I know we're late on time here. I'm not sure if you have enough time to tell us just quickly about the Honey Integrity Act. You're part of the Make America Healthy Again Caucus, but also with Ag Commission that you're on. Tell us about that. Yeah. Well, Robert Kennedy and I've talked about this, you know, I'm on, I have to get him in. He's going to watch our food. But the one thing that we do is there's a huge amount of in our country that makes fake items and food products out of chemicals. One of them is honey and it's killing our farmers in our state because you have all this Chinese honey come in. It's nothing but sugar and water and a little flavoring and they put honey on it. And so we've got to have some kind of integrity in our food. Honey is just one small, it's not small, but it's one item. There's many, many more. Robert Kennedy is going to help the health of this country because our health care system is way out of whack because of the stuff we put in our body. And I'm anxious to see what happens. Coach, thanks a bunch. There had been, somebody brought up the fact that maybe you're going to run for governor. I haven't heard anything about that. I'll, I'll, we'll, we'll leave you alone on that and you'll come out with that announcement whenever you may come out with that announcement, but in any event, we'll really enjoy talking to you as a senator or as the governor of the state and we appreciate you a lot, man. Thank you guys. God bless. You got us. Senator Tommy Tuberville getting ready for a big Auburn basketball game today, just like we are. 11.30 pregame, 12 o'clock tip off against Ole Miss, another school. Senator knows well. Yeah. And what do you think of that interview? Let us know. Some of the answers you had for us, 2.5.1. 3.4.3. 0.1.0.6. It is 822, Dan, Brendan, Dalton, or a week, mobile mornings on FM Talk 1.0.6.5. We're really, really glad that you are along with us heading into the weekend. It's 822. Good morning, Dan and Dalton, wet willy, FM Talk 1.0.6.5.26. The text line of 2.5.1.3.4.3.0.1.0.6, many of you already reacting to coach, US Senator Tommy Tuberville on our show just moments ago, dirt diggers says I'm a Tide fan, but I will keep voting for Tuberville because he works hard for our country and our state and he's a man of his word. Thank God for the coach. So that's, somebody, and that's one thing about Tuberville, he's a straight shooter. Yeah, integrity, he kind of, he, he scores 100. Yeah. Nobody politicians do, but he's also, of course, very much not liked by a pretty large portion of the population. Well, even people up in Washington is comrades, a lot of them, even Republicans are not crazy about it. Pete Cox says, please be our governor coach, then says 106.5 is the best in the list of wise endless, but I like who we get to hear from, coach, Brian, the mayor, Paul Birch, Jeff Shonden at Alton, April endless Congressmen and senators. Thank you, Pete Cox. We'd love to see you at the mobile boat show this weekend. We'll be up there on today's starting at 10 and all the way through the weekend. Daniel says love. Tuberville, hope he runs for governor Jason. Nice job, guys. Tuberville always impresses. Chris says the interview was outstanding. The thing about coaching you don't have to interview him. He's going to tell you how the cow eats the cabbage, no matter what that is, what's so refreshing about listening to him. He said that's what's so refreshing about listening to him and a fire dog. I'm just glad we have a coach in the Senate at this time, always glad to hear from him. Gardner asking, can we get Americans off welfare back to work to fill all the new jobs coming? I've wondered how that, you know, the outfill in the infill of all this will work. And it's not like someone's just raring to go to be, I mean, of course, there are plenty of people that are that are on disability or for one reason or another truly needs some help, right? Yeah. And it's obvious that however that system began, it is way, way, way outgrown the viability, right? Of keeping this country the way, keeping this country the way that people would want to live in it, right? And so you have a lot of people who are just collecting that dole that could easily be out working, but convincing them, I don't even know if that's the case, but I guess you don't have to convince them if you take it away. If you take it away, you don't have to convince them anymore, that's for sure. But you're right, there's something amiss with our overall work ethic, but I think that policies can change all that and get it back ready to go. And this may be unpopular, I know some socialist, whatever you call me, but there are a lot of industries that have made their way, especially these last few decades, on paying much lower wages for labor that's willing to do it, labor is not always from here. Whatever this deal is, you're going to have to kind of make it incentivize it that that job is, you know, you're able to live on, I guess. Yeah, I mean, you have got to put some of that guilty verdict on the employers. No doubt. For sure. Yeah. It's 830 FM Talk 106. 5 Mobile mornings. Two of your all-time favorites. Please vote for us in the nappy's Dan and Dalton on Mobile mornings and we are back right after this. We're going to call 2513430106. Righty, it's 835, just about FM Talk 106, 5 Mobile mornings with Dan and Dalton. Take a look at the text line, Ricky is checking in at the end this morning. He likes the coach. I don't think we've got a text here, post Tommy Tuberville interview that isn't excited about him. You know, he's got a different kind of mojo going right now with Trump. Notice that? Like when before the election and all the years before that, that he was in the Senate, he was pretty downtrodden about nearly everything because he was watching up close. You know, when you're paying attention, when you're now a U.S. senator suddenly and you're not an ex-coach, now you've got a new, you have a new assignment, you've got to pay attention. That kind of stuff. And of course, he has and he was almost sickened by what he saw with the waste and all that. He's got to be at least happy that there's, I mean, look at the work the doge has done. Yeah. And, you know, I don't know really exactly how Senator Tuberville feels about things. But I feel I like electing people that hate Washington, D.C. I like how we need to send people up there that hate the way things have been run. Yeah. Hate, maybe a strong word when I'm talking about hating other people. But you know, a lot of those people up there have screwed us, screwed us all the way down, you know. And you get that vibe off him. And I'm sure, you know, while the Democrats held so much sway over these last four years, it's not easy, especially since he was often the loudest voice in the room on subjects that wouldn't just get you, you know, in a shout and match with Democrats, but would put, you know, a price on your life by a lot of those protesters out there, you say something about LGBTQ, anti LGBTQ, DEI, whatever, you've got people that are finding your address and trying to figure out where you are when you're on that kind of stage. And they're on a payroll. They're on a payroll. They're being paid, they're being paid to be terrorists in this nation. Yeah. And look at Trump towers yesterday. You had, yeah, and I've got Rubio on 150 or 200 that walked in in normal attire and then stripped down to their anti whatever and there. Did you see home? Oh, that was Trump tower. Holman was there was protests going on. I guess he was at the Capitol. I'm not sure. Yeah. He walked by eating an apple. Yeah. And smirking, I guess. Yeah. He's, you know, he, he, he will play Tom Holman in the movie about Tom Holman. He'll, he'll get the lead role. Yeah. Or sip of wits from NYP. But it's like, so you have all these people protesting that the agitator at Columbia University who was on a green card is asked to leave, right? And it's like he should be asked to leave. He's here, he's hereby this much than margin that he's even in the United States. He is affiliated with Hamas. I mean, it's, it's insane. Yeah. Get out of here. And you know, a lot of these agitators that are foreigners that come to college here often have very wealthy parents. I don't know if it's that, if that's his exact situation. What's his country of origin? I forget it. Syria, Syria, Syria, sending back to Syria. Here's Rubio before I get into my take there. This is not about free speech. This is about people that don't have a right to be in the United States to begin with. No one has a right to a student visa. No one has a right to a green card, by the way. So also, yeah, this comes back to you have all these agitators and I mean, they took a building hostage in Columbia, right? Yeah. They took the building not that long ago, like last year or the year prior, they intimidated Jewish students from going to class, but free speech, Dan. Yeah. This free speech mean you could take a building, right? And yeah, and you'll say, well, what about January 6? Okay. Yeah. Good point. But how were they dealt with compared to all these, the Ivy League situation, these elite colleges where we allow all of these, and they're not the, the, the only problem, but you have, you know, children of very wealthy, Chinese, Chinese, you know, nationals, you have all these Middle East, big monies and their kids over, and then they get over here. And not all of them. But so many of them are leading these massive disruptions that are anti-American and you sit back and you have people saying, well, green card, blah, blah, blah, blah. Every Rubio, say green card doesn't mean that, no, they have free right all the way through it. One of the things that Rubio said in that statement was if he had applied and he said, now when I get there, heads up, I'm going to do ABCD, I'm going to do all these things. I'm going to agitate. I'm going to be, I'm going to close down buildings. I'm going to, you know, so do I still get the green card? And Ruby has said, if you put that on his application, no. Yeah, right. But he's here now to revoke it. That's part of the deal, man. And like you said, who knows who that funding is coming from? Yeah. There's been some allegations and I think some reports out there that they're filtering down through donations to packs, right, that are making their way down. Yeah. But we have to take our schools back. And I don't mean that we don't need foreign people coming in to go to Harvard and Ivy, or Ivy League schools, Yale, Brown, but as much as you might hate it or I hate it, those people that go to the Ivy League schools generally filter down to DC or some very important role. And the whole system has just gotten so screwed up and I don't think there's an easy fix. But I think what you have to start doing is at least knocking the agitators out of the mix and get them out. And also, you know, I think free speech is vital. You should be able to say whatever you want to say, say, I remember, I thought it South and maybe at Troy, I remember less Troy, but South, isn't there just one? There's one area on that campus and it's right there near the food hall where you're allowed to speak your mind. You know, they'll have, it's usually where someone brings a box and we'll stand up there and tell you you're going to hell, right? And we've seen those videos over the, a lot of, just Christians will go out and preach the word in a place like that. That's supposed to be where you're supposed to go say your thing, but when you start shutting down the college and then you have all of these professors and, and leaders of these departments who don't want to punish you, no, they agree with you for what you're doing. It's become a major issue. And like, like I was saying with Tuberville, he said some very unpopular things and still unpopular to this day, what he has to say in DC. You watch what the American people think and they're pretty much right in line with a lot of these issues that he's been pushing over these last four years. I think the agitators have actually pushed the American, there's some things you take for granted and then suddenly they're challenged by the agitators at Columbia and other schools up in the Northeast and you think, wait a minute now, it almost, it almost galvanizes the rest of us like, we can't have this anymore. And also there, I've met and have friends who are middle Easterners who love this country. Yeah. They come to this country and they love this country. Many instances. Yep. Right. They love it more than many Americans. They do. They understand it. They understand the history of it and they love this country. So it's nothing to do with your heritage, your origin, but we can't have people coming over here that their aim is to destroy it. If you look at what's happening in Canada right now, two lakhs, they're letting things get away from them. If you look at any- That's a understatement. Yeah. But if you look at the European nations, even Ireland and England for sure, they've let things kind of slide too far. Now they're trying to figure out, what do we do? Well, let's not let the I.B. example of how to deal with this be our example as a nation. We talked about it in the moment, like you're the smartest people and you're the brightest administrators in the United States. Really? Like, what are you doing? I mean, you need to shut it down and you need to not be apologetic about it. This is the United States of America. Many of you fought for this country. Many of you have sons and daughters who served this country. We don't have to be apologetic about anything. No. Yeah. And those families haven't been getting their due for some reason, for some time. Yeah. And that's despicable. Let's go to the phone lines and talk with Eliza. I want to talk about the tub of real interview. Good morning. Good. Good morning, Dan. Good morning, Gallatin. How are you? We're just great. How are you? Good. I just a long-time listener, first-time caller, and I just wanted to say real quick. I probably did enjoy that segment with Senator Tupperville, and you're right. He has some very unpopular opinions, but they are in line with common sense. Yeah. And just the folks that you folks are talking about, that not being apologetic. I mean, being a parent of young children, there are times I'm like, you know, I'm not sure where we're going with this, am I right or wrong? But I have to be unapologetic with, hey, this is the right course. This is the best course that I think that we can do in this moment. And you know, I'm not going to put you in a place where you're going to be in danger. And so, you know, just really love this morning show and just want to say, I definitely will be voting for you both for the left, the nappies. Yeah. Vote nappies. Hey, Eliza. And by the way, you probably felt differently about things before you had children, right? In some instances. Yeah. Of course. That's just, you know, that's just experience and maturity or lack of it, but I think it also comes with maturity and experience comes with brings discernment and that becomes wisdom, you know, you know, who you thought was your true love at 18 and even 25 is not who you're going to be picking at 35 and 45. Yeah. How old are the children, Eliza? My, I have young children, my young mother, I'm an older mother, but the young children, I have a two year old and a five year old. Wow. You're both girls. Wow. Yeah, it is. Hey, Eliza. Thanks for calling. Thank you. And thanks for voting for us. Yeah. That's awesome. Great call there. 2513430106 and also thanks to Eliza for reminding me. Vote nappies.com now through, I think first week of April nomination period open and we would love your vote also for all of our great partners here at FM Talk 106 5. It's funny. We talk about, you know, so many of the, you know, businesses that work with us on here and they all end up using everyone else's stuff, right? Yeah. For instance, like, well, I don't want to dob anyone out there, but it's like this community. They all do great work. So, you know, if you're looking for voting for the best, you know, tree, felling service are really arborist. I mean, what they do is so great, Chris Francis construction. We have so many companies that are advertised with us that are just outstanding. People advertise local companies that create businesses and jobs in Mobile and Baldwin County in the state of Alabama and it was brew baker on Jeff show saying that's a tough road. He was, he has been a owner of a dealership in Montgomery for years, but he says owning a group in a local small business in Alabama has got way too many hurdles and he's not happy about that. We've got our own guy right here. Yeah. He was going in on then. Yeah. Wayne, that's awesome. Wayne Biggs. All right. He supplies us with our water in our when you're keeping me alive. You're keeping me alive. I want to let you know that Josh said, I want to know who the hell these 35% of people are who are in favor of daylight savings time, you know, even just people coming in the studio because Dan and I have been like, man, we like this. We like the light at night, but I've heard multiple people say, oh, I don't like how dark it is in the morning. Yeah. Somebody was just the studio the other day. So I don't know how accurate polling is on that kind of thing. Trump was like, this is a tough one. He said it's about 50 50 for how people which side of the line they want to be on. I don't know who wants to have darkness at five o'clock, not that it would be like that year round, but I like the way things are now. You know, so when the weekend happened and then all that, I didn't notice too much on Sunday, but on Monday we're back in the grind of getting up at zero in the morning, you know, and with that sunlight in the afternoon, five, six o'clock, I was like, I like this. Yeah. Yeah. It's nice. I'm able to, you know, wife gets home. We're able to go out for a walk. Yeah. The girls. It's nice. You have to wonder how this will all affect Twiggy, the water skinks. Wow. We don't even. Odds that we would get Twiggy the week of the time change. Well, I guess because the Mobile Boat Show is held around the same time every year, it's pretty high odds that that would happen and it hasn't affected Twiggy in the past. But Twiggy, it's 848, not 748. That means you're going to be due to get on those skis and on the water here. Think first Twiggy show, maybe at noon today. That's what I'm thinking around noon. I've never actually watched Twiggy's show. I've watched everybody, you know, I'll be in our booth and I'll watch everybody making their way down to the area of the Twiggy cam or whatever. And so I'm like, you know what? There's Twiggy merch, by the way. I was walking around yesterday. Yeah. So I, maybe today I will take it upon myself to get on down there and watch it. But the crowds were so immense getting down there. I'm like, I'm not even going to find it. So here's my plan. And I'll be there a lot this weekend and I've seen some of the boats. But it's like Christmas, right? I didn't want to open all the presents. So I like shielded my eyes from parts of the big room there at the convention center. So I'm going to roll through them all. Right? I'm going to make big dreams. I'm going to look at some price tags and I'm going, ooh, baby. I might even talk to like a dealer or two and act like I'm real interested. Yeah. Then I'll mosey over to Twiggy. I'll buy a shirt and I'll head home. I didn't know Twiggy had the merch. Yes. That's pretty cool. I like that. So Bocho, if you don't know, we've been talking about it, down at the convention center, begins today. But you had a chance to be in there early setting us up so you saw all the setup and all the boats. Yes. We'll have the guides corner, which is always a massive hit because, well, it's the best hunting and fishing guides around. And you'll get up close, personal access where you can ask the cat and Bob, ever, scottos and questions. You know, we, and he'll tell you he's more than willing and we have so many great experts and guides. It's worth coming down for that alone, but also we'll be out there and also tackle this with a, we call it the grab and go fish bucket that we will be giving away at some point this weekend. Also our normal FM talk, one of six, five buckets, the empty ones will be giving up of those away as well. So come on down 10 o'clock every day it opens until seven today and tomorrow and until five on Sunday. My first question for Captain Bobby, you ready for this? Hmm. When's the last time you got a haircut? It's 850 with an adult. 855 FM talk one oh six five and mobile morning. Thanks for being with us on this Friday. Rough weather on the way tomorrow, doesn't mean you can't get out and have a little fun today and Sunday and whatever tomorrow allows, but yeah, certainly be weather aware, have that weather radio, um, seen a lot more people say put helmets on in line of a tornado. Yeah, I've heard that, you know, it seems extreme, but you know, it does seem extreme like ex games extreme. You don't want a head injury. So, you know, in my age, I probably will go helmet shopping later on. Yeah. And maybe just keep it on once that storm moves through. When you see me in a helmet on Sunday, you'll see that's a little extreme, Danny, boy. Yeah, let me tell you about underdog fantasy and this is the time of year to play some underdog because well, we're in midst of conference tournament season, March Madness right around the corner. And I know you'll be watching that Auburn Ole Miss game today in that Alabama Kentucky game tonight anyway, so might as well download that underdog fantasy app and make some entries with underdog. Nothing beats basketball in March and now you can bring the fun of a bracket to every game day by making entries on underdog. It's very easy to create and then treat. All you need is at least two players can be from the same sport, can be from different sports. They just need to be on different teams and you'll choose higher or lower on their stats like points, assists, rebounds, more. So, for instance, Jenai Broome today you can choose higher or lower on 19.5 points, 10.5 rebounds. You add that with maybe Mark Sears or a couple other games you're keeping an eye on and you have your entry. You can play with as little as a dollar and if you get it all right, you can win up to a thousand times your money. Just with your sports knowledge. I love it. I love the stat keeping on there because I can keep up with it while I'm watching the game. Download the underdog fantasy app. Sign up now using the promo code Dalton, D-A-L-T-O-N, unlock that special offer of up to $1,000 in bonus credits when you make your first deposit, join in on the fun, sign up with promo code Dalton, D-A-L-T-O-N, claim that special offer today and get up to $1,000 in bonus credits instantly with that first deposit. It is legal to play in Alabama. I've been doing it for some time now. You have to be 19 plus and present in a state where underdog fantasy operates terms apply and if you're concerned with your play call 1-800-Gambler or visit ncpgambling.org and Dan, who do you have winning at all? The SEC tournament. Florida. Dang it. That's what I was going to say. I'll go with Auburn then. To the text line. I love you guys. We'll vote for you and even agree with Tubbs, but I would never call him a man of integrity. Okay. I don't know why you'd say that. Also, look at this one from the text line. Don't usually deal in rumors, but Twiggy was escorted out of Callahan's last night. Oh, wow. Understand it was quite the scene. So this is someone who's he or she wasn't there says don't want to deal in rumors. Yeah. Yeah. Anyway. They had to pull Twiggy out of Callahan's. Of course, St. Patrick's Day right around the corner. So I'm sure Twiggy had that in mind. You know, she did. She sees the big picture. She's like, that's the, if I'm going to be in Mobile, yeah, I'm going to go to Callahan's evidently didn't end well last night. I will. Well, we'll see her perform today. We'll see if she's up to snuff. And we'll see what happens when Dan and I walk near Twiggy's a little section over there. And if the folks have anything to say, but you know what, the boat show you got to get down there and say, man, Sean will be there this afternoon. It all opens up at 10, but coming up next, we have the Jeff Porsche and he has another great lineup on the way and you don't want to miss it right here on FM talk one of six five. We'll see you on Monday, right? Dan and Dalton. We will see you then. And we'll see you this weekend at the boat show in downtown Mobile. (upbeat rock music)
