G'day, friends, it's Blister Guy and this is episode 1334 of Walk to Work a Mobile Hearthstone podcast. "Do your class arena is back?" Gosh, it feels like forever since we've spoken. You and me, you know? Because it kind of has, right? Obviously, in the last episode, I released, I released early and I recorded early, it's like on that Friday last time, it was a bit short because we were going away on vacation. Saying vacation is weird, isn't it? It's a very American, North American thing, holiday. That's what we did. Nice. Three of four. That's what Puster did, Bird, poor thing. It has been frightfully cold, so we went to our now holiday, four days away, three nights. Shoal Bay, I believe it is. You want to look that up? It's very nice. I have posted a couple of pictures in Discord while we were there and the view we had in the room was spectacular, but the weather was clear, but it was windy and it was really cold. Now, these are going to be Celsius, so I know for some of you, that's kind of hard to gauge, but zero-degree Celsius is freezing, that's the temperature at which water freezes. Still water, of course, the ocean won't freeze quite immediately on that front. The temperature was between 18-14 each day, which is not terribly high, but the windshield. We could wake up in the morning, it's like it's nine degrees outside, but the windshield says it feels like two, and two is not very warm. I know for some of you, well, we can handle that, that's temperature we can manage. We can't. We're not equipped for that. The housing is not built for it. We don't tend to own clothing for it because it just doesn't happen very often. This was an unusually cold snap. People had warned us about an Antarctic blast coming through. You might be thinking, "Oh, I thought it was always an Arctic blast." Yeah, it is if it comes from the Arctic, which is in the north, but Antarctica is in the south, so it's an Antarctic blast for us, very, very cold. I know someone in Discord mentioned that they were feeling exactly the same thing in Argentina, so it looks like Antarctica is really, someone's left the door open there and cold blast everywhere. So it was really just incredibly cold, which was a bit of a shame because it meant that we couldn't do some of the things we wanted to do. The water was, like you could see the breeze coming across the water. The water was just choppy, and one of the things we thought we might be nice to do is go out on a boat and see dolphins, so that the kids would love that. The dolphins wouldn't have been anywhere to be seen. The water was just so choppy, you wouldn't have seen anything anyway, and it would have been freezing out there, because you could go out on the street and it was freezing. You're like, "Oh, this is too cold, this is too cold," so being out in the boat would be even worse. But overall, it was lovely, and it was nice to have a bit of a refresh, it was nice to get away, nice to have dinner out, my wife had a lovely birthday. We found like a chocolate brownie thing and put some candles in it for her and sang a happy birthday, and she seemed genuinely appreciative that she had a nice birthday, so overall a success, but it's just been ages since we talked Hearthstone, right? That ages since I really played very much Hearthstone, look at me doing my quests, obviously. We're now at the moment where I now have two Nozzedormu quests saved up, which means I've got to clear my quest each day, so definitely playing a little bit. But I am like Diamond Four in Twist, and also making no progress there, by the way. I've been playing a fair amount of Twist and just bouncing backwards and forwards on Diamond Four, basically, not getting anywhere, just trying various different heroes. I think I'm enjoying Queen of Shara right now, but I have tried a few different things, but I'm in gold and stand in wild, and as the expansion release approaches, it's like that doesn't leave me a lot of time to get legend in either format, and I don't really mind, I think it's okay, that worksite, it's quite loud, I dig out there just digging stuff up, it's not even eight o'clock yet, I'd think maybe you shouldn't be starting on that. Anyway, anyway, it's beside the point, Jewel Class Arena is back, now this is an interesting one, clearly Jewel Class Arena is to celebrate the whole tourist mechanic, tourist guards are not in arena, which to be fair is fine, like, what are you doing mate, you just shaking up. Anyway, so the whole tourist thing is you have a legendary, when you put your deck, you can put cards from the other class in there, from that expansion. So how would that work in arena, right, like in arena you get a legendary offer that first and it's the only legendary you get, if you get offered a tourist, would you be allowed to draft cards from the latest expansion only from the other set that was shown, like, I don't know, kind of weird. So early on in the created discord, once tourists had been revealed, people were going, "Oh, are we going to be able to draft tourists in arena?" I assume not, and the answer was no, you're not going to be able to draft tourists in arena. And then I think somebody said, "Ah, it's a shame, because the whole Jewel Class Arena thing is pretty fun." And I think, I can't remember a ridiculous hat, maybe it's something like, it certainly is and you get to try it out soon enough and someone else has responded, "No, it's not until October, because it's usually Halloween where we get to the Jewel Class Arena, because the idea is that the classes are wearing Halloween costumes so they get to cosplay as each other." And he's like, "Wrong?" He said, "What do you say wrong? What do you mean?" He's like, "Well, with the 30.0 patch, that's when we're at the Jewel Class Arena." Suddenly now, and we're like, "Oh, really?" So a couple of things have changed with the arena, previous arena season. I believe we had a curated pool of cards, and you could probably equate this to a cube in magic. Now, even if you play magic, you may not be familiar with a cube. Cube started as, so in magic, you can do booster draft, right? Or seal deck. Actually, they all work with cube. That's where booster drafts where you bring three packs along and you open a pack and you take a card and pass it to your left and then they take a card out of that pack and you get passed a pack and take one out and eventually you have 45 cards and you build a deck out of it. It's a lot of fun. Honestly, booster draft is the one way I like playing magic the most, if I get a chance to, and I never really get a chance to. The other version of seal deck, where effectively you bring six packs, I think, and then you just open them and build out of those packs, which is also fun, and that's why I like to enter pre-leases. So limited sort of things. So you can see how Hearthstone's arena is similar to that. Cube was this thing where, instead of bringing booster packs from an expansion, whether the latest or not, someone would curate a pool of 350 to 600 cards and you'd randomly make booster packs out of those and draft them. Of course, the power level could be so much higher and people like the cubes are a lot of fun. And there'd be some powered cubes early on that would have the actual power nine cards and things. So the curated pool of cards and draft from to make a much more higher power format. The kind of thing that, which is the coast now, mean you can do online, they'll, they're magic online and magic arena clients, but I think Shuma Arena has cube. Anyway, they have cubes so that people can draft it there and they love it. I have not had very many opportunities to cube in my time. I'm quite remote to the communities that I know for magic, but I have what I have done of it. I have enjoyed it and I know it's awesome. I know a lot of people love it. So the arena pool that we had was a bit like cube because it was all curated cards to make it feel more overpowered and it was pretty cool and people enjoyed that. So it is kind of resource intensive though to balance any of that, you know, techs data and management over time to even curate the pool in the first place takes time and we're coming to a new expansion so they didn't really have time for that. So as of now, as of yesterday, the patches live, the cards from perils and paradise are in the client and so we can draft them an arena. And this is my favourite time to play arena every, every set just for the next one is when we get to play the cards early. We have basically only standard expansions in arena, not a curator pool. So the power level is lower, I've heard people complaining about that. I've also heard people complaining that the Sherman Merlock 1-1 for one with Gigantify that summons a copy, one of itself, a 1-1 copy. In other words, when you get the Gigantify version it's an 8-8 with Rush. Too good. That's available. I know whether we're going to get offered that today. I did. We are basically doing the draft today and all this preamble means maybe we only get to do the draft and we don't get to play a game yet, but I'll play some games and then I'll report back in tomorrow's episode about how we go. But if we have time maybe we will but I suspect the draft will take longer than I think. So let's assume we're not playing again today but we are doing the draft. Now I opened up the arena run yesterday and saw the classes that are being offered. Now with dual class arena you get offered the three classes as normal. Those are the classes that your hero is going to be and you won't have the hero power that corresponds to them because you get offered a second class after that and you get that hero power. You get made first up and then I'm a mage with a shaman hero power, not the mage hero power. What we are offered up front I believe is mage, hunter and warrior and what I did was I posted on discord that and I said look react with each of these emojis as to which one you think I should pick and I'm just going to go into discord and see which one won now. So it looks like mage had half as many as hunter and warrior not much more than mage. It looks like hunter wins by a lot so we're picking hunter. I don't know whether hunter is any good in arena right now that doesn't really matter right. So let's put no essence of open the client right unmute the phone to not the volume. I believe I have turned up the volume in games, let's see how this goes. I'm just getting there and draft hunter along with something else so we'll find out what it is. Clearly if the shaman merlock thing is there we kind of want shaman but you know death night for the toy snatching geist or whatever it is that's also doing it in fire is probably pretty good too we should see not as not as good as a one one like one hey huh you're going to be excited to see who's here oh lovely a one mana one one that summons another one one with rush is pretty good so it's hard to be there anyway where are we modes arena here it is and we are being offered mage hunter and warrior and we're snapping off the hunter because everyone said so all right well okay we are offered a hunter shaman hunter wallock and hunter rogue and well I did say the shaman was the good one so we're going to pick shaman so how good is a hunter with a shaman here about I don't know but hopefully we find she was that one hopefully we find some of these merlocks first up we're offered a legendary scar the catastrophe and one thing that's not very helpful here is it shows me the signature version which means I can't see the context if I click on it oh it does now holding it does bell cry one damage to all enemies improved each turn an arrow you've played an elemental that's a 7-7 7 a 7-7 7 does one damage to all enemies is not bad we're also offered Alex Strasse the original 9-8-8 set a hero's health to 15 it's all right it's not terrific doesn't save you if you're losing very much in arena and the last one is alakay the window just eight mana 36 elemental with charge divine shield taunt and win fury between alakay and scar I think I want to try scar although I think alakay is probably just more reliable but let's try scar and see how many elementals we get to make it better just knowing that even two damage to all enemies on a 7-7 7 is good enough we just need to have a lot of elementals make that happen and if we can make it do three damage well that's just amazing so scar has the highest ceiling here I think first up we see digging straight down this is the excavate spell for mana deal eight damage when we need to excavate a treasure we have milok tide month hunter month apparently that's offensive in South Africa so sorry to who's what's his name again super mad he's our South African friend who lives here I don't know that it's offensive it's it was it was a colloquial slaying name thing in New Zealand but apparently he's actually offensive in South Africa after the earthquakes in New Zealand good 10 odd years ago now the mayor at the time described the city as month of yeah it's a bit months of me anyway the last car we're offered is furious fouls now this is a new card and I'm not saying we should probably just take the new card even those digging straight down is really good digging straight like you should probably take any excavate card you're offered an arena because the more you get the better but we're a hunter not a shaman so we won't have a legendary excavate reward so let's take the furious fouls now furious fails the six-minute wristbell choose an enemy summon two three two birds with a immune while attacking to attack it so we're gonna get a couple of three twos and we're gonna deal six damage to something and it can go face so let's take furious fouls okay next up we have vicious slither spare we have hidden meaning we have quick shot so vicious slither spare is a nice 1-1-1-3 that can get bigger if we play spells for the term we're not aiming to draw three mini spells so this is probably just a 1-1-1-3 a lot of the time which is okay but not terrific quick shot is to two amount of three damage if we haven't have no cards in hand we draw a card I don't think that'll happen too often but you never know and hidden meaning is just a secret says if your opponent spends other money if someone ran in the three drop I think quick shot is just the most efficient one of these two amount of three damage is nice so we'll take that all right next we have yelling yodler cactus cutter and farsight farsight is an epic three-minute spell that draws you a card and reduces the cost of it by three and then you want that in arena cactus cutter is a two-minute two-two battle cry draw a spell if you cast it this turn game plus one plus two in taunt that seems pretty reasonable and last one yelling yodler is a four-minute three four battle cry trigger friendly minions deathrattle twice I don't think we're gonna get very many deathrattle minions the cactus cutter we need some spells together we have at least got a quick shot so far so even if we don't trigger the thing by playing the spell when we play this and making it a three three four taunt getting a two two that draws us the quick shot is certainly better than nothing so let's take the cactus cutter next up we have matching outfits form on a spell transform a random sorry a minion into a so transform a minion into a random one that costs one more and then summon a copy of it so this is the new spell it's not bad in arena arena you can do things like value trade something off the board doesn't you have to be something good and then basically heal the minion up by transforming into something else this will also summon a copy of it four manners a lot to do this so you have to have something in play before you do it so let's see what else we've got we've got jukeswalk totem two mana zero four at the end you turn summon a one one silver hand recruit I mean it's okay but sometimes you've just done two mana for one silver hand recruit because they get to value trade the totem off the board it's not great the last thing is a cowbell soloist it's three mana four two stats are not terrific right battle cry if you control no other minions deal two damage that is pretty good though so like you can do things like trade away your minion or turn to and then play this and turn three and it's just a four two for three that does two damage something is really good so we're going to take the cowbell soloist it won't always be on and even if it's not on three mana four two is okay all right merch seller uh four mana three five at the end you turn put a random spell on top of your opponent's deck I mean it's giving them extra value I don't think we need that for any reason I mean it does disrupt them a little bit but like I don't think we need that anoetron two mana one two mech taunt divine shield it's okay but it's only got one attack and lastly remote control two mana one three weapon after you hero attack summon a one one how totally fine card let's take that so let's deal shot three mana deal three damage unique spell has plus two spell damage that works and we already have a cactus cutter we want to draw spells we need cheap spells we have a shock hopper this is a one mana one two battle cry get a random overload cards an elemental and a beast so elemental is important um overload card less so but it's a value I guess uh and malted magma which is the new drink spell two mana fire deal one damage to all enemies three times right I think this is really good in arena I kind of want the shock hopper but I think I want to take the malted magma because it's a new card just to see how good it feels if this format is lower power level than what we're expecting I feel like malted magma might be quite good but also six mana to deal three damage to all enemies doesn't seem that strong I don't know I feel like shock hopper is the correct pick here so let's do shots fine don't get me wrong I feel like shock hopper is correct but malted magma especially now that we have a cactus cutter as well like I know we'll take that next up we have flame tongue totem clearance promoter star strung bows star strung bows a six mana five two weapon it costs one less reach secret that's trigger this game friendly secrets triggered we haven't got any secrets we're not likely to draft very many secrets clearance promoters of three mana three two death rattle reduced the cost of two spells in hand by one we're not going to have very many of those flame tongue totem is a totem so it can be a bit of a sitting duck it's a two mana zero three adjacent minions have plus to attack though it's really strong really good at helping you trade things up like if you have any minions on board and your opponent has any minions on board you can then probably just trade your board away from their board productively and still be left with a fine tone totem and whatever else and that's really strong so we're going to take a fine tone totem now we've got we're up to pick eight so we've got seven cards let's have a look at the deck we've got several two drops but two of which are spells one which is a fine tone totem so they're not very proactive uh no five three drops go at the weapon as well the weapon's really good with a fine tone totem cowbell soloist furious fouls and scar so we've got a lot of cheap stuff which i do like an arena but we can't just just have cheap stuff next up we're offered jazz base three mana three two death rattle uh you next bell cost one less overload while equipped to improve reasonable hollow hound strong six mana three four lifesteal rush also damages adjacent minions strong in the deck that hand buffs it a lot we're not probably doing that but the last cow we're offered is carry on grub which is a new epic four mana five four battle cry get a one cost suitcase pack the top two cards you deck into it we're just drawing cards with a four mana five four if the power level of this format is low this seems like a really strong card so let's just take that and it's new instrument tech i mean instrument tech is going to draw us our remote control not terrible celestial shot is extra burn which is fine go face the last one offered is altered cord five mana lifesteal six damage to a minion cost three less if you're overloaded now two burn spells one of which does more has lifesteal and could cost less but probably isn't going to because when i get offered we're gonna get offered half as many overload cards as normal because we're also getting offered hunter cards so less than shot is flexible it can go face you can take out a minion but three mana for three damage is not as good as six damage for five mana because after a while you want to take out big minions not small minions but i don't know six mana for five damage that's like an old pre-spelled that we wouldn't choose to play very much anymore i'm going to take celestial shot because at least if we draw it with cactus cutter we have a chance of being able to play it off the cactus cutter and make the cactus cutter bigger so let's take celestial shot lightning storm ten gallon hat bounty board now bounty board we're not taking it's the three mana zero five your excavate quick draw a tradable legendary card cost one less no lightning storm is three mana overload one the other three damage to all enemy minions it's a strong card especially an arena ten gallon hat two mana give a minion draw a minion give it plus one plus one and death rattle get the ten gallon hat so we're drawing cards with this each time we draw a minion it's going to give us another ten gallon hat assuming it dies as opposed to getting transformed it's not bad it's a reasonable card and i wouldn't mind taking it but i think lightning storm is just stronger now the thing we have to bear in mind here is that we have quite the spells and not very many minions so let's have a quick look uh we've got however many spells cards we have ten cards one two three four four spells if you don't count furious spells because it's kind of not a spell but that's a lot of spells admittedly it's all removal which is fine but like that's okay anyway next up we have we're offered another celestial shot we probably don't need that a shale spider which is a two mana three two elemental battle cry if you played an elemental last time draw a card reasonable it's an elemental we like that and shock copper which is the one mana one two now both of these are elementals we want elementals which one's better two mana three two is great stats we have a bunch of two drops already shock copper is one drop also gives us extra value the one drop is much more a much less meaningful than the two drop though a three two is so much better than a one two but it's curving better into what we have could give us extra value it's easier to squeeze in if we're trying to power up a scar so i'm going to take the shock copper and we'll high roll we'll get a good overload thing all right next up we have rocket hopper oh five mana ten ten rush overload four okay that's big we have an instrument tech which again we're destroying remote control we don't need that and a bunch of bananas now a bunch of bananas is cute i quite like bunch of bananas i like shock hopper too it's big but it could also be a liability i think i would rather have bunch of bananas even though we already have a lot of spells now that may be the big mistake but our hero power is making minions and bunch of bananas with several ah totems could be quite a right too so you take bunch of bananas and maybe regret that i didn't take a shock copper a rocket hopper but at least if i didn't take the rocket hopper like i'm not playing it and then getting it like extra hex door to us so let's take the bunch of bananas and just remember we need a lot more minions all right sand art elemental it's an elemental it has meant to rise it's four mana four four uh bell cry give you hero plus one attack and win fury this turn this is a very strong card especially an arena uh so we like that there's a shimmer shot which is one mana arcane spell one damage summon a random card of that cost i mean it gets better with the celestial shot we have but also it's okay and we have a lot of spells so it's right the last one is remix musician three mana three three rush gain uh an extra effect in your hand and change these two look it's fine i think the sand art elemental is better anyway and we want elementals especially with the minute tries really helps us scar so we're taking sand art elemental another celestial shot an explosive trap and a war gear okay so celestial shot we already know that it's a reasonable card if not spectacular explosive trap is okay but not spectacular again i think a second celestial shot is better there war gear is just a five minus six five element i'm sorry not element i wish it was an elemental mech with magnetic it's fine we don't have very many big minions yet we don't have anything at five minus i think we just take the war gear it's not amazing we now have an hour for getting some mix uh because magnetizing this onto something is quite strong but we take the war gear i think because we want minions other spells forgotten animatronic shimmer shot again and kill command so more spells we've got no element trying because of five mana four six at the end of your turn destroy a minion with less attack than this that can hit your minions they're gonna have very many minions because you have a lot of spells that could probably hit an opposing minion maybe but i have definitely played this card right before and gone i don't want to play this right now at all so i'm not sold on that kill commander's three damage for three mana unless you have a beast in it that's five damage is quite a good rate and shimmer shot as i said was the one mana one damage summon a random minion at that cost i think this one is the most flexible uh it's it's just it's subtle it doesn't do a lot but what it does do it does well uh so we just go i think for shimmer shot and maybe we get to live the dream of the celestial shot into it but we don't want the animatronic and kill command just slow and clunky all right mantle shaper amphibious elixir and another bunch of bananas bunch of bananas courses the one mana spell gives plus one plus one and there's three shots of it not three drinks but three bananas amphibious elixir is two mana restore five health to discover spell it's a fine spell but i wouldn't pick it if i didn't need to mental shaper is a five mana five five elemental naga all right good cost one less reach spell you cast while holding this we have more spells than we want so at the very least maybe this is a four-minus five five out of five-minus five five we're okay with it we're not happy four-minus five five we're quite happy three-minus five five we're even happier i think we just take the mental shape because it's male and male and male and male and could be cool all right next up we have a frequency oscillator well it's a mech it's a two-minute sorry one-minute ah yuck so one's water blasting up there and i'm getting splashed madly yuck oh you dirty water too great thanks all right frequency oscillator is a one-minute two one totally fine arena not spectacular because ping heroes can take it down but you spent one mana and if they spent two mana pinging it down then maybe you're up on the deal on that sense tempo-wise so i'm just trying to take my glasses off so i can wipe the water off them all right what else we offered ah yuck now hang on i gotta put the recording device on the phone down and actually clean my glasses properly because that didn't work at all fable stable hand he sees pairing on his phone three mana rush three three bell cry if you control a minion with four more attack game plus two plus two pretty good if i have some big minions so enough i do and lastly chill vibes restore eight health finale summoner three three elemental with taunt hmm that's a good question there's so many an elemental count towards scar and the like let's have a look scar played an elemental not summoned so chill vibes doesn't help us there is a spell that heals we have to be finality at three three so i think we just take the fable stable hand at the very least it's a three three with rush that could be a five five with rush if we have our standout elemental or or something so let's take the fable stable hand that's a mouthful all right here we go shockhopper we know that's good extras are probably not so terrible infested watcher which is a four mana four four taunt death rate will get two one one chaotic tendrils it's totally reasonable card but lastly firing on the mental six minus six five elemental bell cry deal for damage this is a classic great card in arena it's been buffed since it used to be great if the power level of arena is low this card is probably really good so let's take that okay we've got 18 cards let's pick two more cards and have a quick look again all we've got we've got another bunch of bananas uh more enticing now that we have the mantle shaper we have an ancient totem which is entirely unenticed this is zero minus zero three and lastly a high noon duelist signature so i have to mouse over to see what it says uh death rail both players draw destroy the card costless i mean a a three-man of four three it is symmetrical sort of it's symmetrical off a lot of a large enough sample size we have a lot of cheap stuff so i think the odds are more likely that our opponent will uh get a card and will destroy a card now i don't care about destroying card but i do want to care about giving my opponent a card so i'm just taking a second bunch of bananas okay oh we've got 20 cards so let's have a look now because there's some nice ones in this one but let's have a look what we've got our curve is low we have a few one-man of things but they are actually a shot a couple of bunch of bananas and a shot couple we've got cactus cutter we've got several two-man of things again more of its removal spells so we do want more minions in those slots we've got some stuff at three which is fine some stuff at four some stuff at five and then some stuff at six like overall we have a really good curve we just want a few more cheap minions i think to make this work we certainly have some late game stuff and i think we're in pretty good stead but more minions is good so what have we got here bestial madness it's the hunter spell uh two mana give plus one attack to all minions in your deck and hand and battlefield that's quite strong in arena um but it is a spell and we have a lot of minions i mean it doesn't buff our totems going forward but if we had any totems think it buffed but i think banking on having totems is a mistake you don't you don't get to keep totems your opponent takes them off the board but it is all right obsidian revenant six mana four six taunt elemental deathrattle seven two random deathrattle minions that cost three less reasonable value the stats up front are a little lower than you want six mana and the reason you worry about that is at six money you play that your opponent just got okay well i value traded off the board immediately but the upside to you is that okay they do you still got more stuff hanging around so it's good the last one is concept promo drake it's a dragon so not an elemental or a mech an 8-minute edit with tradable finale destroying an amenion it's a good card in arena if we need the more late game stuff it would be perfect we don't really need more late game stuff we need more early game stuff the only early game thing we have here is the bestial minuscule upgrades but i think obsidian revenant is going to i think i would take concept promo drake if i wasn't hoping for more elementals so we're going to take obsidian revenant because it is an elemental all right as you can see we've got like nine picks to go and we're on the train platform so clearly not playing game today that's all right all right costume singer one mana one one interested in draw a secret we have no secrets so no ancestral knowledge two mana spell draw two cards of loan one no what have we got left four mana four four infested watch your taunt deathrattle get two uh cabled tendrils that'll do nicely also this is a four mana four four could help the fable stable hand love it all right we've got 22 cards eight picks to go a second remote control another ancient totem we don't want ancient totem we haven't taken any but we're offering another one and lastly pet parrot which is two mana one one from the new expansion battle cry repeat the last one cost card you played now i have several one cost cards repeating a full bunch um bunch of bananas it's quite spicy what else can we repeat a shimmer shot a shock hopper not actually that much as much as i want to get a two-minute one one parrot that repeats a bunch of bananas i don't think it's going to do that very often and i think remote control gives us minions one curve and a solid weapon so let's take the remote control all right next up we have explosive trap trusty fishing rods a new card which is a three-minute one two after euro tax uh summoner one cost minion from your deck we've only got one that's shock hopper and we want to play it not summon it and another obsidian revenant again i want cheap minions but incilliant revenant will do because it isn't elemental another train coming we're not getting on that one all right jungle gym location deal one damage to a random enemy repeat for each friendly beast we have very many pet parrot it's the uh two mana one one again repeat the last one cost card you played them got very many of those i mean bunch of bananas but like if it's been ages since i played a bunch of bananas the last thing it's going to repeat is just a single banana and it'll be random so i don't know and of course another infested watch of the four mana four four taunt and gives us a couple of chaotic tendrils i mean more of those seems good so let's take another four mana four four okay we've got five cards to go let's have a quick look the curve is now filling out a little bottom end we've got a few more four drops which is nice i think we want a few more two drops what do we got merch seller that's the four mana three four that puts spells on top of the deck we don't want that uh a hose and roughhouser three mana two four pirate whenever another friendly pirate takes give it plus one plus one we don't have any other pirates so this isn't going to do anything and lastly champion of storms four mana three five that's okay uh elemental all right we want that after you cast a nature spell summon a four two elemental forge it with rush so you can forge this to mean that you can summon four twos with rush but if you don't that's also okay so how many elemental spells do we have i think we're taking that anyway right nature spells arcane no type uh molten eggs fire cactus colors so uh nature no nature no quick shots not celestial shot will be arcane as well uh lining storm is nature so that's one nature spell and uh that's about it so we've got one nature spell which is not terrific but i think a four mana three five elemental is better than a four mana three five naga that puts spells on top of the deck and better than a three mana two four pirate that doesn't do anything so let's just take the champion of storms and if we're offered any more nature spells then that's okay the shock opera can give us random nature spells it's not the end of the world we're probably not forging it in a hurry all right turn the tides it's a nature spell of course three it fits uh explode near entire creeper. Dark creeper is an elemental so we like that right it's a three mana one five with taunt has two attacks during your product's turn so as far as they're concerned it's a three uh three five with taunt explode net is the three more three mana two four at the end of your turn shuffle a bomb into your opponent's deck when draw it explodes five damage fun doesn't really fit what we're doing turn the tides the three mana spell with overload one i'll give you here a plus three attack soon and summon a three three elemental with rush very strong it's nature so it works with the card we just drafted i can't remember what it's called it's not an elemental and the tire creeper is an elemental which are we more worried about i like the turn the tides turn the tides is a much stronger card than tire creeper even though tire creeper supports our scar the catastrophe turn the tides better and supports the other carbon structure whose name i can't remember so let's take the turn the tides three cars to go sneaky snakes one mana summon two one one snakes it's now fine start strong bow we don't want that rocket hopper oh five mana beast overload four rush ten ten i guess we take that sneaky snakes is okay it's fine but let's just take the rocket hopper give us a big body uh two cards to go kill command parrot sanctuary rock song grunt parrot sanctuary two mana location three durability and ex bell cry minion cost one less after you play a bell cry minion refresh this this is just a two mana card that's making some stuff cheaper which i don't think we need uh warstone grunt is a five mana three six rush after this attacks kills minion may attack again i think we just take that last card to go tire creeper cactus cutter hidden minion a secret that we don't need that's the one that if they use all their money you get a random three drops fine cactus cutter is the two mana two two draw spell if you cast it this turn again plus one plus two and taunt we're assuming we're not going to get to play the spell but we're assuming it's a two mana two two that draws a spell which is fine and tire creeper all right let's look at the curve as a bunch of two drops but not that many and we've got a bunch of three drops cactus cutter is a nice valley but i think now we take the tire creeper because we want that extra uh elemental in there to make that work and also it's just it's a good thing that tides us over to our four drops of which we have many to take care of that's the deck we've drafted it i should remember to take a screenshot of this of all the cards uh i will try to remember to post it in discord uh that probably won't happen uh that's okay hang on trying to screenshot it while recording not the best idea but there's a train there i'm not getting on that one you've got to make multiple screenshots when you're on phone not terrific infested okay four screenshots for the same deck yuck oh okay just misses the scar so we don't need the last screenshot but that's all right so okay uh we didn't get the one one murloc that summons more one one murlocs right so that's a strike against us our opponent doesn't know that of course but you know that's all right it doesn't have overload so we're not going to generate any extra ones we do have a bunch of stuff though i'm not sure how good the stuff is but if the power level of arena is lower then maybe the bunch of stuff that we got is good enough i'll play some games i'll pull back tomorrow so here we go if i still have the deck going maybe i'll play a game with that tomorrow on the podcast or maybe i'll just do another arena run on the podcast because i enjoy doing the arena runs as long as you don't preamble too much maybe we can get the draft out in time to play a game uh we shall see i don't know fun times anyway look i really enjoy i enjoy jewel cast arena i used to enjoy it more than i do now because i guess it was novel for a while now it's like okay it's just a thing but i enjoy jewel press arena i definitely enjoy arena and then lead up to an expansion to get to play new cards i i think that's neat and i'm probably going to do more arena than i should over the next week or so i don't have any tickets left right i've been playing some arena over this last expansion i've got no tickets left i'm going to be spending 150 gold each time and getting whizbang packs i don't want but i don't mind because it's fun playing with new cards will that detract from me getting legend in any format i think it might but you know what i think that's okay still the expansion comes out in the 23rd so that gives me time to play with new cards and get legend in wild and or standard then so man we'll see how we go anyway i think it is time for me to sign off i didn't do a patron
