Morning crew on the topic of nostalgia from 2000. When the movie Save the Last Dance came out. Oh my god, it was huge. And having grown up on a coastal community on the South Shore, you can imagine this like urban hip hop amazing movie was incredible. It was the version of dangerous minds 2000. Oh my god, that brings back memories. You know, it's a funny about that movie is you go and watch it now. Her dancing is horrible. Julia style. Oh my god, so bad. Like they made you think she's like this cool hip hop girl going out for Juilliard and she has these awful dance moves. You really didn't dance very well. If you watch it back today, that is cringy. That that was a movie that we love so much. Music was good though. You can do it for so much. Yeah, I mean, it was Carrie Washington was in it. She played and then I mean, Derek and I don't remember what Julia style's name was. But they were it was Sarah. Sarah. She was so basic white girl hanging out, you know, on the other side of the tracks because you know her dad was poor. And then she had like this whole black community around here. It was just a winnie to crush this poor woman's memory. Because it's such a bad like example of artistry. Yeah, I saw that movie, I think. You never saw it? I did. Yeah, everybody did. And one of the weird trends is in our weird stories actually saved a woman's life. That story is next. Kiss 108 seems a little weird to me. Oh my god. It's time for weird stories. I'm pretty creepy with a billy and Lisa in the morning. So this one is so incredible. A mom was jogging in the Yukon. Her name's Vanessa. She's 24 years old and she almost got mauled to death by an eight foot grizzly bear. But her hair clip saved her when it got caught in the jaw of the bear and it ran off. When the bear had taken me down with my head in its mouth, my first thought was just kind of protect your vitals. So I went straight into the fetal position, like saving graces from Walmart. Shopee was wearing a plastic hair clip like this one, which broke in the bear's mouth. She believes that stunned the bear and it let her go. She still got a broken arm punctured wounds, claw marks all the way down her back and had to spend 10 days in the hospital. Well, she did the right thing as far as getting into the fetal position. Totally saying that. Yeah, cover everything. Stay still. Yeah, cover all the organs as best you can. All the animals are rising up as you say. Well, how clear can I make that every day? Animals rising up. In fact, I'm going to go one step further. Creatures of all kinds are rising up. For instance, in Texas, heavy rains around Houston, Texas are bringing out foot long poisonous hammerhead flatworms that regenerate. If you cut them in half. Oh, oh, yeah. Yeah, apparently they are. This is not a joke. This is not a joke. You have to freeze them if you catch them. These flugs can grow up to a foot long and can emit a toxin if you pick the right a foot long. Just think about that muck and can irritate your skin. The toxin could also make your pet sick if they try to eat one of these slugs. Now, the rain we're going to see this week will flush the worms out of the burrows in the ground, putting you and your kids and your pets at risk. But you can use this rain to your advantage. You find these things, put some gloves on, maybe use a stick and put it in a bag with salt and or vinegar and you're going to want to go ahead and put it in your freezer overnight. What you don't want to do is just put it in the trash can or worse, cut it up into little pieces. It will regenerate. So if you chop it into two pieces, you've just made two worms, et cetera, et cetera. Rising. So how do they die? Apparently you put them in the freezer. I'm not picking up slugs and bring them into my home and then putting them into my freezer-wise food. Then you risk them regenerating. They go to a foot long. By the way, this worms every day, all the time in my pool, you know, frogs and mice and worms all the time. Well, you're up during the wilderness. Yeah. I just take them out with my pole skimmer, the mice and the dead dog. Are you going to tell this story? And then I just throw them in the neighbor's yard. Well, you don't like a neighbor. You know the one he hates? Mice everything. The sour, the sour posts. Yeah. Yeah. She like waves at my son, you know, gives him the dismissive hand gesture. Yeah. All those dead mice and when he save us from this, this actually is not that way. It's National Chili Dog Day. It's a celebrate an Instagram. I can't say it's okay. It's okay. It's okay. All right. There's a married couple in New York City. They're both in their early 30s and they say they love it because they sleep in bunk beds. So first off, Andy works in a hospital. King works 16 hour shifts and a lot of them are over night. We are literally on different sleeping schedules. And when you only have eight hours to eat commute shower and then get back to do another 16 hour shift, every single second of sleep and it's usually only three or four hours is literally precious to this man. He does not want me to be anywhere near him. He needs his space. Sleeping is also health and wealth. Like people are like, oh, it's cuddles like no babe. Like that's how my man rests and then gets a bag to keep these life on. Okay, like let's be so for real. Oh my God, shut up. Yeah. You know, we talked about the sleep divorce thing. Yeah. Yeah. So this is the next phase of bunk bed and it almost ruined my marriage. Right. I know. I'm back, you know, with with my wife. But you know what, different strokes are different folks, as they say, Billy slept in a whole other room to make sure he did ruin his man. He wanted to ruin his marriage. Actually, completely other end of the house. Bunk beds though. My favorite part of that is that Billy was surprised that his kids weren't surprised they were getting divorced. Okay, you know what? You know what? Stop everyone here. I can see it coming. Yeah. They're like mom, dad, what took you so long? Okay, Wendy, stop. Keep an eye on your lottery tickets, kids at Tennessee store clerk stole a million dollar ticket from a customer and was caught when he tried to cash it in as his own ticket. If you scratch off the front barcode, it'll tell you if it's a winner or not, regardless of whether you scratch off everything, showing how much you'd won. He threw it on top of the trash. As that gentleman left, he took the trash outside. And if you follow him on the camera, you can see him grab the ticket, put it in his pocket. He went to the Tennessee Lottery Commission to claim the ticket is his own. And through their normal line of questioning, they there were enough red flags for them to say, Hey, you need to get all your affairs in order and come back to us. And we're going to hold on to the ticket. Okay, but like, is it finders keepers? Well, this has happened before with store store clerks. Yeah, yeah, where they try to take it, especially if it's left behind, they always get caught. Yeah, but I'm asking a real question. You're like, isn't it finders keepers sometimes? It's like, if you threw it out, it's now trash. Yeah, I don't know the laws on that, but I remember Billy reporting on a story where it was left behind a big winner in the store clerk grabbed it and he didn't get to keep the money. No, anyway, we're coming up on entertainment and we got so much to talk about. So the Olympic games get underway today. Did I mention our only sedundment is going to be at the Olympic games in Paris, France. And you know what else? Lady Gaga and Celine Dion both performing now tomorrow. So and they're celebrating their one year wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks too. August 5th. I believe I think it's August 5th. Yeah, you know, I know because I wasn't invited. And I was like, I'm not invited to talk about that. You would have made the whole thing a little uncomfortable. You have the hots for my son. I have I've had the hots for Chris for years, but that's over now. It was a little uncomfortable, right? Lisa. A little bit. And you made no secret about it. I mean, every time he walked in here, you'd like jump on him. Oh, whatever. He enjoyed himself. But anyway, happy birthday, Hannah. Let's go. Now the entertainment update with the Billy Costa Olympic Games. This is a big deal, Lisa done it. I know it is. Here we go, opening ceremonies, Paris, France. Could you ask for a better scene? Oh, they're doing the equestrian events at Versailles. Oh, my God. Listen, it's great. Bring that up because I just saw a video yesterday about how they bring the the horses over on a plane. Yeah, it's so interesting how they load them up in cargo, like how they load them up in, you know, a trailer. It's like their own trailer that goes into cargo of the plane. And they have all this. I mean, it's crazy to bring all those forces overseas. It takes a lot of work. Precious cargo. But yeah, they'll see on the grounds of Versailles. Wow. And just, you know, like Olympic games are really spread out. It's not like, you know, you go downtown Paris and there's everything. Some are some are at the Eiffel Tower, but some are like in Lyon. And yeah, they're all over. French countryside. Yeah. Anyway, word is now, and I'm not 100% sure because it's been called into question by the mayor of the south end. But I'm told that Lady Gaga and Celine Dion will perform together at the opening ceremonies. And I'm told they're going to do the song "Lovee on Rose." And why not? Lady Gaga did it in the movie "A Star Is Born." As you lose the French countryside. It's so perfect. Oh God, it's going to be nice. And there's also a report this morning, Celine Dion. This is good news for her. She's going to be doing a Vegas residency. So it appears she's back. I know. I mean, I'm happy for it, but it just seems like it's such an undertaking because she was saying how she had to like learn how to re-sing and the stiff person syndrome. She can't breathe a certain way sometimes with her vocals. And I just hope that it works out for her. But it seems like a big undertaking. And Lisa, you're going to be at the Olympic Games. Is there an event you want to see the most? Well, we would love to see the tennis, but the tennis is in the finals when we're in that area. And it's at like six o'clock at night. So we would have to stay overnight. We're just doing a day in, day out. We're doing round trip on a train the same day. So we'll be doing like beach volleyball or table tennis. That's pretty much all we can get tickets for and they're cheap. By the way, don't laugh. Both those events are very exciting. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Is that is that ping-pong? Yeah. I know. No, that's good. It's crazy at the Olympics. Oh, God, yeah. I can't even believe how fast they are. A level ping-pong is insane. And the way they serve. And he's basically tennis. It is. It's like so intense. Crazy. So you're going to go into that event, Lisa? Yeah. There are certain events that you can still get to passes to. So that was one of them. When I was in China on all American ping-pong, I just loved playing ping-pong with my flexo likes ping-pong hats. You want to bring a flexo light with you? And coach Gerard Mayo couldn't be happier. Ah, it's an exciting day, at least for me personally. I know it's exciting for the guys in the locker room as well to get back on the field and play real football. The most important thing is just to compete and to go out here and have fun and winning is fun. So it's all about competition and it's all about getting better each and every day. Okay. So Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman co-hosting the Kimmel show last night. Pretty funny. The new Deadpool Wolverine movie is out today. They chose, for some reason, last night, to sing the Golden Girls theme together. I can't listen to it. I don't know if Ryan is that good of a singer. No, he's a good actor, though. He is. You know, he's a good dramatic actor, too. He's been in some good movies. He was in one with Denzel Washington safe house. You see safe house, Justin? I have not. Oh my god. It was good. Anyway, they tell us that the new Deadpool Wolverine movie is going to have 110 F bombs. So it's supposed to be really good. Really good. I like the first two Deadpool movies, so. Matt Damon went on Fallon last night talks about don't forget they shot that movie, the instigators in the Boston area with Casey Affleck and Jack Carlo. He talked about the movie. He set out to make a really fun movie and I think we succeeded. It's really, it's a movie about two guys. Like it's a heist movie, but if like the A team isn't available and like you can't get the B or the C team either. Wow. Yeah. Like you get us. Yeah. Yeah. So it's so it's a kind of a buddy comedy in the, you know, in that way. There's another funny Matt Damon story this week. You remember Goodwill hunting, right? There was a really, really intense scene when Robin Williams was his counselor and Robin Williams was explaining his wife who had passed and was telling the story about how she used to fart in bed. It's a great scene. And apparently there was no script. Robin Williams just went totally off script with this storyline and they were laughing so hard, right, Justin? Yeah, he ad-libbed the entire scene. So no one, the cameraman Matt Damon knew the story. He liked it on the fly. And so when they're laughing and Matt Damon's laughing, the cameraman is actually laughing. The camera is shaking and they left it in. So if you watch the scene, you can see the camera shaking up and down. It's really good. Yes, this scene. My wife used to fart when she was nervous. She had all sorts of wonderful little ego sequences. She used to fart in the sleep. So I shared that with you. One night it was so loud. It woke the dog up. She woke up and gone like, "Who is that you?" See, I didn't have the heart to talk. She woke herself up. Yeah, it just seemed Matt Damon is going up and down with the laughter. Like along with the beat. Anyway, boy, I tell you, the world misses Robin Williams. God would have gifted talent. The Inside Out 2 movie, officially now the highest-grossing and animated movie of all time, more than 1.4 billion. It just edges out frozen too. And the new Halsey song "Lucky" comes out tomorrow. Biggest female voices, these were voted on by thousands of people on rancor.com. Coming in at number 10, Aretha Franklin. I mean, she's a beautiful, I mean, iconic, powerful. Yeah, iconic. Oh, I mean, her voice is incredible. Adele. I think she definitely belongs in the top. She does. I, after I saw her in Vegas recently, the effortlessness of her singing is just next level. It doesn't even look what she's trying. I think number five is where she belongs, right? I think so. Yeah, I think so. I think her voice is like very powerful. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I agree. Number four, Kelly Clarkson. I see, I see Billy Costas making a face. I love Kelly Clarkson. I love Kelly Oke. Yeah. Okay. You know, I do. The quality of her voice better than Adele, better than Alicia Keys. I argument could be made there. Well, I also think it's her range is crazy. This is not a song she can do. And like, whether it's rap, whatever, have recently, she's really proven herself in that way. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Her range is insane. Every day. All right. Here we go. Top three coming in at number three of the most powerful female voices, Mariah Carey. Oh, yeah. Oh my God. Yeah. I think everyone agrees with that one. Absolutely amazing. She belongs in the top three. Absolutely. The whistle tone. Not many people can do the whistle tone. Oh, that part in emotions? Yeah. Oh, wow. That's insane. So I'm really. I think she can do that anymore. Probably not. No, she struggles. But she did it. She did it. Yeah. She did it. Okay. Coming in at number two, the most powerful female voices, Celine Dion. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. Yep. And that leaves number one. Whitney. Whitney. Yes. Whitney Houston. So, I have to say, I think the list, the top 10 were pretty accurate. I need top three was on point. The only person that I think is missing off the list is Ariana Grande. 100% Ariana Grande came in at number 16. She knows some names that beat out Ariana Grande pink. Christina Aguilera. She does have the pipes. Yeah. Every time I think about Ariana Grande, I think about her White House performance. Right. Where she covered. Oh, my God. Give it to me. That was one of the greatest moments. So you got, I got to set the scene, right, Billy? Yeah. So she gets invited to the White House, Barack Obama's president. She gets brought into this little room in the, oh, I don't know what room it was in the White House, but she gets brought in and she's performing right in front of Barack and Michelle. Yeah. We told you yesterday, a good chance a Lady Gaga and Celine Dion would perform it open ceremonies, and it turns out both are. So according to Laurent Delard, who's coordinating first aid and health services at the Paris Games, the Olympic Village will have 200,000 male condoms, 20,000 female condoms, and 10,000 oral dams available. Okay, you've been listening to the extensive Olympic coverage offered exclusively here on the Billy and Lisa morning show. They've really just, they're really focused on them on sex at the Olympics. Well, I think that they're focused on first aid and safe and yeah, safe sex. And you know, everyone's health conscious obviously over there.
