Good morning. It is Thursday, July 25th going to be cloudy, kind of murky for the most part today. Maybe some showers highs close to 80 degrees may get a little sun later today. Definitely sunny and nice for tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday highs in the 80s. Top stories, nurses out at Brigham and Women's in Boston have voted to authorize a one day strike demanding a pay raise, better working conditions and more security. The strike, by the way, wouldn't happen until after the next negotiating session, which is set for next month. Other stories, President Biden addressing the nation last night, first time since announcing he's pulling out of the race for reelection. Nothing can come in the way of saving our democracy. That includes personal ambition. Reports this morning suggesting former President Obama is close to endorsing Kamala Harris and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu speaking to a joint session of Congress yesterday with some pretty strong words. This is not a clash of civilizations. It's a clash between barbarism and civilization and other stories. The head of the FBI grilled yesterday on the handling of the assassination attempt on former President Trump. We're learning more now about the shooter. Reports say he floated a drone over the site an hour or so before the shootings and apparently had an interest in Lee Harvey Oswald. On July 6th, he did a Google search for, quote, "how far away was Oswald from Kennedy?" And that investigation continues. Other stories, bad day on Wall Street yesterday, the Dow down, more than 500 points. Business, all good for the inside out two movie. It's now the top grossing animated film of all time at $1.4 billion. All good for Red Sox manager Alex Corey yesterday, a new three year extension, more than $7 million a year. Red Sox, by the way, lost to the Rockies last night, 20 to 7. They'll start a series with the Yankees tomorrow night. Olympic Games opening ceremonies tomorrow in Paris, France. This just in Lady Gaga and Celine Dion will perform together. And Lisa Donovan checks the drive next.
