Geography professor Geordie Armstrong and Journalism professor Josh Molina talk their teaching styles, and the importance of understanding all the different types of students who walk into the classroom. Armstrong shares stories of her best days, worst days and she extracted herself from a situation with a difficult student. She talks about the importance of working with students on assignments, and the difference between helping a student and coddling a student. Molina talks about where his passion for teaching journalism originates and he goes on a rant about problems with social media. The two also discuss COVID, and how it affected the classroom. Geordie & Josh are college professors at Santa Barbara City College. Both of them credit Santa Barbara City College fo helping to rescue them academically and propel them to become teachers at the college.
