Santa Barbara Talks 97: Michael Jordan

Santa Barbara City Councilman Mike Jordan shares his views on housing density, State Street and a new mood at City Hall. Jordan, a longtime Santa Barbara City Planning Commissioner, was elected to the City Council in 2019, winning a seat in Santa Barbara's Mesa District. Jordan is blunt, honest and direct in his views on the biggest issues facing Santa Barbara. Jordan is an advocate for affordable housing and working with the state to bring back the redevelopment agency to create a new funding method for affordable housing. Jordan hopes to see changes on State Street soon, and expects parades such as Summer Solstice and the holiday parade to be back this year. Jordan also talks about the new culture at City Hall with new mayor Randy Rowse. Please consider watching this podcast on YouTube at Santa Barbara Talks with Josh Molina.
