Gutierrez also shares his personal story, growing up on Santa Barbara's Westside, the son of immigrant parents who worked in the fields as farmworkers, as well as janitors and housekeepers. Gutierrez also sheds some light on the discrimination and micro-aggressions he has faced at City Hall.
