Grab Bag Topic Thursday: Be Wise In Your Christian Walk !!! according to God’s Word. Scriptures: Proverbs 4:7

"Yeah, come on, it's like that, it's like that." Hello and welcome to my young loyal listeners of Teen Bible Study Talk in 10 minutes. So what do you know? Word on the go. This podcast is brought to you by and produced by Real Time with the Bennett, where real talk happens all the time. I'm your host, Minister Bennett of today's episode, and my co-host is the lovely sister Bennett as my husband affectionately calls me. Thank you for allowing and trusting us to be a part of your Christian walk. This week's episode, it is Grab Back Topic Thursday. Be wise in your Christian walk, according to God's words. Guess what our young loyal listeners? It's Grab Back Topic Thursday. Now, for real y'all, contrary to popular belief, we still get emails from our young loyal listeners. Yes, I said the word, emails, not text messages. Emails yes are still a thing. So if you have any questions or comments, you too can send an email to PNTpodcast2020@gmail.com. Okay, so periodically, we will pull a question from our various emails. We came across this one and thought it was great and could possibly help you, you know, in your walk with Christ. It comes from Kyle, who wrote, "I was baptized when I was younger and had been going to church with my parents, but when I'm in church, I doze off or I'm on my phone. No cat. Miss Pam, Minister Tommy, it's so boring. I know what it means to be saved and having a relationship with God, but this church, I don't know. It's not doing it for me. I told my parents, but they brushed me off. What can I do? Kyle, thank you so much for your honesty. I can guarantee you, you are not the only youth feeling this way. Now understand that your parents take you to church because the Bible tells them to train up a child in the way he should go and when he is older, he will not depart. So you are on the right path and I am applauding your parents for that upbringing. Now, you've stated that you know what it means to be saved and have a relationship with God. Guess what? You are now being held accountable for what you know. God is waiting to see what you will do with the knowledge that you've now received. Listeners, we do this podcast to encourage you, give you some understanding of the word and how you can live it out. Going to church is important, but when you get to that point where it becomes born, you know, you need to take matters into your own hands. And how you ask, you need to become a doer and not a hero only. When you are in the church and the word is coming forth, write down the Bible Scriptures and then go home and study them. Look them up. And if the version of the Bible you are not that you are reading may seem difficult. Go to biblegateway.com or you could download with permission the U version Bible app and find a Bible version of the Scriptures that explains it more clearer, a way that you can understand it more better. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 4-7, wisdom is the principle thing, therefore get wisdom and in all you're getting get understanding. So don't sit in church and say, I don't understand, get wisdom, get understanding, go home and do some Bible study, feed your Holy Spirit. And when you are in church, unless you are looking up a Scripture, you should not be on your phone. Whatever is on that phone can wait until after church. If God his time, make that time in church sacred, focusing on learning more. Sometimes what is being taught is not for you but it's for someone else and you have to store it away because you may need that in the future. Lastly, talk to your parents again about how you feel. Explain to them the reasons you feel the way you do. This is your Christian walk and you have to be able to speak intelligently about it. Talk with wisdom. Be blessed, our young loyal listeners. In summary, being a Christian is more than just an instantaneous conversion. It is like a daily process whereby you grow to be more like Christ, Billy Graham. As always, please don't forget to subscribe and share so that you and your friends will get all future notifications when new and exciting episodes are uploaded and posted.
