After an outstanding 90 minutes of football, it will come in this evening. The home side got the better of far-res and the final of the Kerry Physio Therapy and Reading Hypoditation Center sponsored East Kerry Junior League Division II Decider. From the moment that Conro Sullivan found the net for far-res in the four minutes, the action was hectic. Till Common responded with a five-point run, with John Doolen getting traded. Great scores kept coming, with John Bark taking a monster point for far-res, followed quickly by a majestic score from Patrick Meine and from out near the sideline. Far-res then grabbed their second goal, calm knock, calm hand, calm the finishing low to the corner of the net. Till Common were getting their scores easier, with Meine and Corning over another beauty. Before Shane McSweeney finished a powerful run, with a low shot to the net. Far-res then did the half-strangle, getting five of the last six points, but are not Sullivan and Barkham on the scores. Then Coo Common went ahead at the break, after training half of football. Another classy effort for Meine, got Coo Common going again after restart. They then got their second goal, adding way back Jack Fogarty, again showing great composure to finish after being set up by Gavin Marcy. From here, Shane's got tighter, with the tension building up. Barkham in Meine and trading scores, and when Meine and Coo Common fall up, with his shot that went in after post, it looked like it would be their day. Far-res weren't finished yet, though. Podrick or Connor's brilliant pass, said O'Sullivan up one-on-one, with Jaden Tynan. He finished Cooley, and soon after, the sides were leveled with Connor O'Sullivan firing over the equaliser. Grandma would extend for another 20 minutes. A seven-point for Meine and from a free, till Common's head again. O'Connor then replied with a superb individual point, flicking the ball into space, and setting off on a run that finished with Nick's quizzed point. Fogarty again attacked with purpose, putting Coo Common one-up again with another fine point. The teams then traded scores, with Marcy putting Coo Common two-up again as the end approached. Far-res then engineered the goal chance they needed. O'Connor hit his shot well, put Jaden Tynan, smothered the ball, and won the free-out from the rebound. Richard Connor fisted over the point that confirmed Coo Common's victory, but it took both sides for producing such a brilliant final. This was one of the best matches I've seen in a while. No one in attendance tonight would disagree. Congratulations to Coo Common on their great way, and hard-look to Far-res on the last, despite their superb performance. Thanks for listening, good luck!
