Baby, you know that bank of a B by now, right? You know that it's the intro, the sound, the theme of the college football function. You can't have a show without a host. And it's the host that knows the most about that college football that didn't see double A action. AKA, Mr. CM. AKA CM Funk. AKA, Mr. Still Your Grandma. AKA, Mr. AKA, Mr. Perfect. Yada, Yada, Yada. How are you doing? I'm coming at you guys on July 15th. I'm starting to get caught up now. As I'm recording this, the big 10 episode should be dropping within the day and within tomorrow. So I'm now caught up. I was doing, you know, two shows a week. I might still do another show at some point in time this week and just send it off to Mike. And he can have, you know, two weeks of shows, you know, for this next coming up two weeks. But I am here, of course, to break down yet another conference. I'm swung around, you know, I've done ACC twice. I've checked off them. I've checked off the big 10. And I'm doing my second go round in my conference. I like to call in my conference because it's the conference, my team. You know, my one true love that, you know, the Texas Tech Regulators are in the big 12 conference. A lot of people say, see, I mean, like Ohio State as well. Yes, I do like Ohio State, but I love my Texas Tech Regulators. You know, I know there's probably a lot of people that say, yeah, you can't like/love more than one franchise, more than one program. But I tell them, you know, I do whatever the hell I want, you know, it'll be perfectly ours, would you? But I hate to be rude, but it's just, I like Ohio State ever since, you know, they knocked off Miami, you know, back in that early 2000s. And for a lot of early 2000s, you know, 20 something's out there that our hope are listening to the football function, not just my show. You've known college football for at least 20 years, maybe 30, maybe even 40 years. I would love to have all kinds of generations listen to my show and not just my show, but the umbrella that is the football function. Because when we talk about everything, you have Dynasty series, you know, some of the greatest teams of all time. I've done it myself. If you want, you can go back to the time machine. I did that exactly last summer. So it's been a whole year since I've touched on that little segment that I did that just kind of gave me something to do throughout the offseason between draft time. And yeah, you know, the start of the season, you know, that first week zero week one, you know, kickoff. So I appreciate you guys. And like I said, to go back when I was talking about how state is, I've liked them for over 20 years now, because they knocked off Miami in 2001 or 2002. Can't remember what year it was, but you know, controversial call. I know I do believe that it was a BS call. And I know Miami Hurricane fans are probably still an uproar over that non call slash call that, you know, completely changed the trajectory of two teams. Ohio State, you know, one, one of their national championship, you know, that year turned around one another one, you know, 14 years later, I want to say 13, 14 years later. And Miami hasn't been back since. So the one play, one call, you know, things like that can change the trajectory of your team. But like I said, I'm back with the big 12 conference, one of my favorite conferences, a conference that I can honestly feel that I can cover. I know these teams. I've played against these teams. Now, of course, as everybody knows, this is a brand new, you know, college football year coming up this 2024 2025 season. There's new faces. Colorado isn't necessarily new. They used to be in the big 12 a long time ago. They left back in the day to join the pack 12 because they thought it was a better conference. And they kind of wanted to get out of the shadows of Texas and Oklahoma. And they thought that they could do good in the in the pack 12 and then that didn't work out for them just like it didn't work out for A&M and Mizzou. So sometimes leaving your conference and going to greater pastures isn't always a good thing. But like I said, I'm here with the big 12. Also another thing going on real quick. If I do remember the last time I talked to you guys or the two weeks ago, three weeks ago, when I was talking about the ACC conference and I was talking about Clemson and Florida State, I said that whether smoke, there's fire, now we're starting to get to where it's starting to kindle. If you know, if you've ever been camping fishing, you know what kindling is. Kindling is it's already kind of caught on fire. A little bit of air, a little bit of, you know, something dry, tree limbs, leaves, so on and so forth. And that thing is, you know, I started a fire. It is all I didn't I it might be hearsay. It might be bullshit. Be perfectly honest with you. I tried to get my news from respectable places. But everybody knows nowadays news isn't always respectable depending on where you get it. But of course, I got this, you know, news from Twitter. And I know this is not necessarily the greatest place to get your news. But at least it's fast. At least it's reasonably moderated. I do like what Elon Musk has done with Twitter. Definitely give up, go ahead and give out my Twitter handle real quick at Michael H. 5 4 6 9. Like I said, I don't post a whole lot. I'm mostly on there to get news. Look at, you know, pictures of gorgeous women, you know, so on and so forth. Not going to go into what Twitter is all about for some people. But you know, I like to get my news on there. And, you know, kill time on Twitter pretty much. But going back to that, the Florida State and Clemson talks are starting to heat up as in they're talking about Clemson and Florida State could leave the ACC as early as next year. They could be the two new big 12 members going into the 2025 2026 year. And I think it's smart. I think it's smart for both the big 12. And I think it's smart for those two teams as well. Do you necessarily want to join the South Eastern Conference? Yes, and no. There's a lot of big boys in that conference. And now everybody knows that. And I know both teams aren't scared of either one of those conferences or even of the big boys in the SEC conference. So yeah, the money is going to be great. Or do you take this route and say, you know what, let's go to the big 12. Well, where there's really no patriarch. There's no matriarch. There's no king of the big 12 right now. There's a vacant throne, so to speak, with the likes of Texas and Oklahoma and literally Texas. They won it last year. So regardless of who wins the big 12 this coming up football season, there will be a new big 12 champion. And it's not going to be the Texas Longhorns. So they're going to get more money going to the big 12 than they would be getting in the ACC going forward. So it makes sense. It kind of sucks for the ACC. And I did, you know, forecast that, that if there was one more conference to disassemble to kind of fall apart and all these other teams go their separate ways, it would be the ACC conference. And we go down to a power three, you know, big 12, big 10 and SEC. So pay attention to that, especially in this next month, up until probably, you know, about a week before the season starts, so exactly about a month from now. The talks might get serious because they really don't want to do anything to complicate their season that they have now. They already have a season that they're, you know, planning on and, you know, scheduling for and what they're going to, who they're going to play this coming up year. So they really don't want to complicate this year. And to be honest, if they're really thinking about leaving the ACC conference, why not win it your last year? Kind of like Texas Longhorns, i.e. what they did in 2023, 2024. And say, hey, it was nice ACC, but we're going to greener pastures. And for what Brett, Brett, your mark said, they're going to get a lot more money from the big 12 conference. And they're the ACCs just not going to be able to keep up the big 12 doing exactly what they can to kind of stay close to the big 10 and the SEC. So keep your eye on that for sure going forward. All right. Now, like I said, talking about the big 12 conference, I think, you know, one of the lesser conferences, but I still think it's going to be very competitive. I don't think there will be one undefeated team that comes out of this conference. I've already done Oklahoma State and K-State. I have Oklahoma State going 10 into a possible shot at playing in Dallas for that conference championship. I did K-State as well. I made them go nine and three. I am doing three teams today. I'm going to do the West Virginia Mountaineers first, a nine and 14 from last year. I do believe it's Neil Brown's fourth or fifth year up there at Milan Pusker Stadium. I think it's a team that has got everything in front of them. I think it's a team that couldn't compete. They showed a lot of, you know, good things to me last year. And I want to see if they can, you know, take that next step and be literally a competitor in the Big 12. I'll do West Virginia first. I'm going to do the Utah Utes. We're going to do them next. This is an eight and five team last year, the last year and the big 10, sorry, Pac 12 conference right before, you know, like I said, that conference kind of, you know, fell apart right underneath their feet. I think it's a team. Day one, Kyle Whittingham, definitely one of the best coaches in the nation right now, you know, with the likes of Nick Saban stepping away, probably Mac Brown retiring in the next year or two, Kyle Whittingham is up there. And if you do not know who Kyle Whittingham is, please look him up. This is a guy who's been at that alma mater for a long time. I do believe this is his second stop. If I'm not mistaken, he took somebody else to high, high heights before as well. This is a good team. Cam Rising's coming back for his 18th year, I do believe. Kidding, of course. But no, I'm seriously, I do believe that he's coming back for a seventh or eighth year. That's a good thing and it's a bad thing. Does he know the offense? Can he run the offense? Is he head and shoulders better than the defenses he's going to go up against? Absolutely. But it seems like Cam Rising's problem as of the past couple of years is injury concerns. So I do believe if he has a great year, that Kyle Whittingham effect, that coaching advantage he's going to have against a good number of the big 12 coaches is coming up here in that conference. Don't be surprised if Utah is playing in Dallas at the end of the year for that big 12 conference championship trophy. I'm going to do the Arizona Wildcats as well. This is a darling of College Football last year. As good a year as they had, it was kind of a catch 22 and it was a double edged blade. They had such a great year. They went 10 and 3 that they lost their coach. He went to Alabama to coach the Alabama Crimson Tide. So therefore, you have a great year. You're going into a new conference and you have to find a new head coach. Arizona is definitely another team that I believe is just like Utah. They could step in day one and take over the conference. Actually, what they would like is them play Utah in the conference championship. Two old back 12 flows playing each other again in a new conference for their chance to hold up that trophy. Their new conference championship is very prestigious. It's definitely something these two teams are definitely going to try to do. So, in comes Brent Brennan, the old San Jose Spartans coach. I do believe there are one B. I got Utah one A as one of the newer teams that can win this big 12 conference championship first year outright. But it's going to be a little harder for Arizona. A first year head coach, not just moving from the Mountain West Conference, but into the big 12. He's going to step foot into some stadiums this year that are probably going to make him his buttpucker just a little bit. Definitely have one of the best quarterbacks and wide receivers tandem in the game right now with Fafida and Tallah, Tallah, Malia. I can't remember his how to say his name, but great quarterback wide receiver duo in Arizona. And like I said, with same team with Camarizing, if they keep their quarterback upright and healthy off the sidelines, you know, off that IR, and their stud wide receiver, I will definitely talk about that in a later show. Guys, that could possibly win the Heisman because Arizona team could be very scary. Year one in the big 12. Also, you can't talk about the big 12, but you can't have C, M, A, K, A, A, K, A, Mr. Lovett, Texas. Talk about my Texas Tech Red Raiders. I know I did them last year. I think I predicted them to go nine and three, ten and two, you know, something stupid along those lines. I was drinking the Kool-Aid. I really was. And like I've said before, if you've been listening to the College Football function for a long time, you know that because a mic lives less than a mile away from the stadium and the campus. My ear is so close to the street that, I mean, I am the street. I mean, it literally is. I am right there. I see, you know, the stadium upgrades going on as we speak. I watch the news, the newspapers. I follow certain things on, you know, social media. So I get to upgrades. I get to see, you know, summer workouts, so on and so forth. Of course, I am going to be enthralled into my franchise, my program, you know, my team. So I have to do them as well. Are they going to go 12 and out? They can't. I've already done the Oklahoma State Cowboys and they beat us November 23rd. So the best we can do is 11 and 1, but I will do my Texas Tech Red Raiders last. So let's go to the West Virginia Mountaineers. Like I said, a 9 and 14, Neil Brown led, you know, I got his feet wet now, a great home-filled advantage. I think it's a team that, you know, could make some noise. Could be that third or fourth best team, but also could knock off a Utah Oklahoma State, you know, in Arizona, so on and so forth. But since I've already done Oklahoma State and K State, they have played both of the sorry. No, they play Oklahoma State and they play Penn State. And I did Penn State in the Big 10 show. I just did last week. That's probably dropping two weeks ago. So the best West Virginia can do is 10 and two. So let's go through their schedule. Like I said, August 31st is their first game of the season. They go play Penn State in a rivalry game. It's not the backyard brawl, by the way. I think that is with Pittsburgh. I do believe could be could be wrong. But like I said, Penn State, I think it's going to have a great year like this year. I think West Virginia is going to test Penn State very early. It's going to be a close game at halftime. West Virginia is going to play. And I believe so, but Penn State is just too much at the end. They can fall to 011 after the first week. September 7th, go home, you know, get right. You welcome in Albany. No idea who that is. Of course, that is a win. Your home, you know, home-filled, you know, it's opener. You're opening game to your home-filled season. That is a win. September 7th, it gets Albany. September 14th. Here we go again. You got another tough game. You got to go to Pitt to play your rivals in the backyard brawl. This is a tough game. I know Pitt hasn't exactly been the cream of, you know, college football lately. Can they can they reel it off? I think, yeah, but I'm not going to do that. I think West Virginia finally exalts, you know, some previous losses that they've possibly have had throughout the probably past 10 years. This could be a six and four, five and five record between these two teams, probably the last 10 years. I really don't know, but I know they hate each other. So you got to throw records out the door when you have these guys. I know West Virginia is probably going to be the better team on paper than these Pittsburgh Panthers, but I still got to get West Virginia the win right there. September 14th at Pitt. It's a December 21st comfort season starts and it's not going to be easy. They welcome in the Kansas Jayhawks. This is definitely a team I could do at a later date. I've got my dates all set out for you guys what I'm going to do and what week. So I'm going to break that out just a little bit later at the end of the show. Kansas is no joke. I do believe that they could make some noise. They are in the West Virginia territory. They're in the Texas Tech territory, not necessarily being picked in the top three or four, but between six and eight, six and nine teams that could make a splash and, you know, make, you know, raise some eyebrows, so to speak. But I think, you know, since West Virginia's playing at home, they're going to beat the Kansas Jayhawks September 21st. September 28th is their first buy. It's a great buy. They've technically played three teams that I think could have beat them. They do lose to one of them, you know, Penn State that week one lost. So this is a great time for a buy, especially if you got a little nicked up in some of these tough games that you've already played. October 5th is one of their scheduled losses I had already given to them. Of course, earlier in the year or this summer, when I did Oklahoma State, October 5th, they go down to Stillwater. And that's just a tough place to play. I mean, it really is. Stillwater is a hard, hard place to play. But I give them a shot. But like I said, I've already done Oklahoma State and Oklahoma State beats West Virginia, October 5th at home against these West Virginia not years. October 12th, come home. This is a good drag game. And I'm not even going to say it's a good drag game either. This is, I put a question mark right here and I put a T next to this game and a star. Iowa State. This is a team kind of like Kansas as well, kind of like West Virginia, Texas Tech, kind of picked to finish kind of in the middle of the conference where they could have a good year, have a bad year, but they're still predicting them to go six and six, seven and five, five and, you know, five and seven yada yada yada. This could be a loss right here. It's really good. I see it happening. But if it was in Iowa State, if it was in high end aims, I would give Iowa State the better shot. But West Virginia wins this game, October 12th against Iowa State, October 19th. Here we go. They play K State. And I remember I predicted that October 19th. Yeah, they go to Milan Postker Stadium. Those K State Wildcats do and they get and they get beat by these West Virginia Mountaineers. So I got to give them a win and that is a tough, tough game. That K State West Virginia game is going to be tough, but I give it to West Virginia. October 26th, they take a road trip to Tucson to play the Arizona Wildcats. Question mark. I got a star next to this. I got it. And that's it. I'm not, I was going to put a tee right here, but I can't. This isn't a trap game. Not at all. Arizona is going to be a formidable foe in the big 12 year one. I do believe so. Later, it's later in the year. Could be a good thing for both teams. Bethany seems to be nicked up. You know, Noah Fafida could be down by this count by this time. But Arizona is going to be good this year. I really believe so. And I do believe Arizona wins most of their games that they're going to play at home. And that's just a big thing when it comes to college football. Home, home-filled advantage is huge in the NCAA. So October 26th, West Virginia goes to Tucson to play the Arizona Wildcats, and they lose. Now remember second, goodbye. It's a great buy. You know, they've had Oklahoma State, Iowa State, K State, and Arizona. Those are three teams that everybody's predicting to finish in the top four of the big 12 conference this year. So it's a good time to lick your wounds. Great place for a buy. Remember night, they take a road trip to Cincinnati to play the Bearcats. Not real far away from them. So it's not really that much of a road trip. And I've said it before. I hate to shit on the Cincinnati Bearcats. Houston Cougars, to be by you Cougars. Maybe even Iowa State, not rural, real sure. Arizona State, those are going to be the five teams towards the bottom of the big 12. So you have to beat those, the Vanderbilt's. You have to beat. I'm trying to think of some of the crappy, maybe a Rutgers. You got to beat those teams, the Maryland's, of your conference. You've got to beat the teams that are going to finish at the bottom of your conference. So November 9th, good get right game after two weeks before losing Arizona, that buy and they go to Cincinnati, that's a win. November 16th, Baylor comes to town. Yet again, this is another team. Baylor, I got a question mark next to you. Baylor is picked to finish in the second half of the big 12 conference this year. So I don't know what they're going to do, but West Virginia's playing at home. So I got to give them a win against Baylor. November 23rd, they welcome in UCF. Put a question mark next to this game. I put a star next to this game. I put a T next to this game. This is a trap game because I think UCF is another one of those teams in the big 12 this year that could take huge steps for it. I do believe this is Gus Malzon, still coaching. I want to say this is his second or third year put together a hell of a recruiting class. So this is yeah, I want to say it's Gus Malzon, right? I'm not sure. I'm sorry if I'm wrong about that, but man, it's just tough. If it was at UCF, I would give UCF the upset right there. But also don't know how good UCF is going to be. That's why there's a question mark there as well. They're in that territory as well, along with their counterparts, the West Virginia Mountaineers, Texas Tech, you know, K-State, just the middle PAC team, where you don't know what you're going to get. Exactly what I should say right there is, I don't know what you're going to get from the UCF Golden Knights. Could they finish in the top two? Yes. Could they finish in the bottom two? Yes. You could say that about most of these teams, but I don't predict Oklahoma State's going to, not the likes of Utah, Arizona, K-States, another one of those teams. They haven't finished in the bottom half of the Big 12 in 10, 15 years. They're just too well coached. So I'm going to get them to win November 23rd. Yeah, they welcome in the UCF Knights and the West Virginia Mountaineers win 23rd of November. November 30th, here we go. They take a road trip to my backyard. They come to Lubbock, Texas to play my Texas Tech Red Raiders. It is our last home game of the year. I got to start next to it. I got a T-next to it as well. This is definitely a trap game. Definitely my Texas Tech Red Raiders fit that same mold of everything I've been saying about UCF. West Virginia seems like Iowa State, Kansas could take steps forward, but also could take steps back. This is the last game of the season. My Texas Tech Red Raiders could be five and six at this time, and they need that win to go up to be ball eligible. It could be even worse than that. I hate to say that. I'm about to knock on some wood real quick. So we could be 11-0. You never know. I'm definitely not going to win for that one, too, right? But I just truly believe my Red Raiders don't lose a single home game this year with our new stadium renovation. It's almost closed off now, and if you do not know the Jones down in Lubbock, Texas, it is one of the hardest stadiums to play in, and it's one of the smallest. It's not you know, you can't get 100,000 in there, but it's still a big-ass stadium. So West Virginia comes to Lubbock and loses to my Texas Tech Red Raiders that week, so it looks like let's see here, even four. I think that's a good year. They have, you know, they were finished eight and four last year at the end of the year. Yes, they got their bowl win, got them to nine wins, but that's a good record. Three conference losses, they could be in contention for the big 12. You never know, but that Penn State loss is safe. They reel off. They knock off Penn State. At the start of the year, that could just start this, you know, that could be cold in the West Virginia terrain, man, that just gets them going. And a lot of tough games, though, pit, Kansas, going to Stillwater. That K-State game's very iffy. I did give them the win there against the Wildcats, but that game could go both ways. The Arizona game as well. This little area between November 2nd and 23rd, they should go two and one at least. I don't see them losing more than a couple of those games in that little stretch, but I think that's what's going to hurt them at the end of the year. Playing against the Texas Tech team, that their home field advantage is very, very good. So West Virginia goes eight and four in the big 12 back-to-back year. So I am going to say that's a pretty good year back-to-back and a very, very tough conference. Let's do the Utah youth, shall we? You know, Kyle Whittingham led, Cam rising at the helm. Definitely a team like I said before. I started breaking down West Virginia. This is a team that it's not hoping to play in Dallas. You know, the first week in December, they are expecting to play in Dallas one of those first weeks in December. So here we go. Thursday, August 29th is their first game of the season. They started a little earlier than normal. They play South Utah. Definitely another one of those teams. You see it a lot. You know, Tech plays Abilene Christian. You know, it's a team that is just not far away. You know, you share a state. You're going to play a FCS, a Division II style team. They're going to pay their money to come to your house so they can get dismantled. And this one is no different. August 29th, South Utah goes into Rice Echo Stadium and loses to the youths. August 29th. September 7th, they welcome in Baylor. The Baylor Bears, they start their conference season week two. Kind of weird. I found that about this one. It's kind of a lot like, let's see here. Okay, sorry. I know it's because this is going to sound weird, but I had a phone call. And this never fails. This happens a lot of times when I'm trying to record. My phone won't ring one time during the day or, you know, for five, six hours. But when I'm trying to do something, whether it's something important or not, my phone will ring. And if it's certain, if it's certain people, I have to answer it. So sorry about that. Talking about Utah, and here we go. September 7th, yes, starts their conference season. Very weird. I found that week two, your conference season starts. Definitely, you don't see that very often, but it's a good team to play. Poor Baylor has to go to their up there to Rice Equals and they're calling to lose. The Baylor Bears are September 7th to the Utah youths. September 14th, they take a road trip to Utah State to play. They're kind of rivals. You would think Utah and Utah State is going to be like hated. You know, Texas A&M and Texas, you know, Penn State, Ohio State, you know, anything like that. No, they're rivals, but Utah has owned the Utah State Aggies for a long time. Could Utah State win this? Yeah, I put a T next to this game though. No bullshit. I put a T next to this. Utah State would love to ruin Utah's, you know, perfect little season that they are on right now. Yeah, I know it's 2 and 0, but losing to your rivals just suck, but it doesn't happen. They go to Utah State and beat their state rivals, I guess. September 14th, the youths do against Utah State. September 21st, I already did the Oklahoma State Cowboys and September 21st, they take a road trip to these still water, you know, to play the Cowboys and they lose. So I should have said that before I started this schedule, the best schedule, and the best record that Utah can have at the end of the year is 11 of 1. So that's their first loss. That's at least I've already counted on their schedules. Here we go. September 28th, huge game. They welcome in Arizona, the Wildcats. I'm not real sure how many times they played each other last year or in the past, but I'm pretty sure they're very, very well familiar with each other, these new people, these two new Pac-12 members. And if it was opposite, if they were going to Arizona, I'd give Arizona the love. But Utah's playing at home. So, we all have somewhere we're trying to get to. Yeah, with that loss. Yeah, with the loss the week before, they get right. Yeah, they get right right here and they beat Arizona September 28th. So since I'm doing Arizona next, I'm going to give them their loss. So yeah, Utah beats Arizona September 28th at home. October 5th. Great place for a buy. They play five games. They are four and one. Great place for a buy. October 5th. October 11th. This is a Friday night game. I like that about some of these conference games every once in a while. You'll get a Thursday or random Friday type-style game. Here we go. October 11th. Take a road trip to Tempe? Yeah, that's Tempe. To play the Arizona State Sun Devils. Like I said, sorry guys. I don't mean to bash the Arizona State Sun Devils at all. Great prestigious school. I do not frown upon Arizona State. They give, they get tech one of the worst beatings I've ever seen at my teams ever taken in my entire life along with the 2008 Oklahoma Sooners. There's just certain teams you just will never forget in your fandom and Arizona State is one of them, but they are a little over match this year until they recruit well. I don't even know who their head coach is. So that just tells you they're just not going to be a very good team this year. That's an easy win for the Utah Utes October 11th on a Friday night by the way. October 19th. Welcome in TCU. Haven't even talked about them this whole show. I probably talked about them maybe a little bit. The last time I did the big 12, you know, that first go around talking about this conference. Question mark. This is a T. I don't know. There's a star next to this game as well. TCU could come back to form. A lot of people will forget two years ago. They played in the national championship game. I wouldn't even say they played. They were in it. They were there, but they didn't play. I think it was like 65 to seven. I do believe it was the final score. It got just completely drove. Don't know what the TCU going frogs are going to do this year, but they're playing at home. Utah is it's a good place to play a TCU type team. So they're going to beat TCU October 19th. October 16th. They take a road trip down to Houston to play the Cougars. Like I said before, they are in that lump of teams that are probably going to finish in the bottom five of the big 12. So that's an easy win. October 26th at Houston. Remember second, they have a buy. Not the best buy to be perfectly honest with you. Arizona State, TCU, and Houston, those three teams were right after their first buy. So their schedule doesn't shape up very well, but it's looking good so far. Here we go. Remember ninth? BYU. This is the Holy War. One of the greatest rivalries in all of college football. I have it on my list. I'm almost positive it was in my top 10. If you want to go back, you might have to scroll a little bit and look up cousin mics, top 10 college football rivalries. And this one is on my list, almost positive. This game can go either way. Yes, but BYU is predicted to have a bad year in the in its second year in the big 12. But like I said, throw away the records anytime two teams that absolutely hate each other go against each other. Utah mostly read BYU mostly blue. It gives that gang style, crypts and bloods type shit, man. It's awesome. Go and hopefully you guys watch this game. Regardless of BYU has doesn't have a win on their record. They would love to get their first win right here. I can't I can't do it though, man. I can't. I wish I wish we were going BYU and I would pick the upset right there, but I can't. Yeah, so Utah beats BYU November 9th rivalry game. Holy war, November 16th. Take a road trip to Boulder to play Colorado buffaloes. Here we go. I lie in a lot of people say that too. Cm. You're talking about the big 12 and you haven't even talked about Colorado. Here's my rant. I'm gonna go ahead and get it out of the way. You know what? And just so you know, this show might run a little bit long. I still got two more teams. I still got some stuff to give you guys. So if this show runs a little past an hour, I'm sorry, but I hope I hope you're looking forward to it. So here's my rant on Colorado and the college football game too is coming out very, very soon. Probably not going to get to play it for a little while. Yeah, just not going to get into that. But Colorado buffaloes are ranked highly in that game. Don't mean shit to me. This is a 4-18 by the way last year, the Colorado buffaloes. Did they start off hot? I do believe they won their first three games of the year, but proceeded to lose eight of the next nine. I don't get the hype. I did not like shooter Sanders. What he said at big 12 media days, that's another thing that just happened if you do not know. We just had our media days in Las Vegas, Nevada, not too long ago. And they were integrating should their Sanders. And he said, "Oh yeah, when you see Colorado on your schedule, where you're Super Bowl?" And teams like that just annoy the piss out of me. That's a New England Patriots attitude, but a Carolina Panthers game. You know what I'm saying? They don't go together. They don't mix. It's all in water, all in vinegar, however you want to say it. It just annoys me how much they talk, but yet they don't perform. And I do believe this is going to be another year. They are going to have a huge target on their back. And teams like Utah, teams like Arizona, teams like Oklahoma State, teams like K-State are all sitting back just going, "Hey, yeah, go after Colorado. Colorado's writing checks. Colorado is not going to have a good year again. I might do their schedule just to mock them. But there's my Colorado rant. I didn't completely bash them. I know my cousin Darian, my boy D came. It is a half-hearted Colorado fan. He used to live up there. So I know he's got a soft spot for the Colorado buffaloes. But like I said, they just rubbed me the wrong way. I'm a big fan of Dion Sanders. I'm not a big fan of Coach Prom. So there's, and you probably, and then people probably saying, "So yeah, that doesn't make sense. It makes perfect sense. I loved him as a player. I loved him as an Atlanta brave. I loved him as a Dallas Cowboys. I actually do not like him as a coach. He's just very, very cocky. He makes say the right things. I just don't like the way in some of the things he's done, especially now at Colorado. And things are only going to get bad for Colorado because if people didn't want to beat you before, they really want to beat you now. So there's that. Okay. They go to Boulder. They're going to play the Colorado buffaloes. Colorado buffaloes could be really bad by now. They could have eight wins by then. Who knows? But that's a tough place to play. I will give Colorado that. You play in Boulder. That's a hard place to play, especially with Dion on the sideline. I get it. But Colorado at the end of the year might be good, a good thing for Utah. They were playing them early in the year. Colorado remember last year and started off their season very, very hot, knocked off TCU, had a really long, grueling game against Colorado State. You don't want to play Colorado early. That's all I'm going to say. So since Utah's not playing Colorado early, I got to give them a win right here. Remember 23rd? They welcome an Iowa State, the Cyclones. Definitely the way Utah youth schedules work and now they have a really advantageous schedule. Their non-conference schedule is kind of weak. They're not playing a lot of the big boys their first year. It will definitely change next year. They'll turn around in half to play a case states and maybe a text, so on and so forth. I'm not even protecting the likes of the big boys. I'm going to call them the hateful eight, the original, the non before a couple of years ago. That's the one I'm going to go with, but we're not going to get into that. But November 23rd, Iowa State comes into Utah Stadium and they're going to lose Iowa State will November 23rd. November 29th, a Friday night game. They take a road trip to UCF for the trap game next to this, but it's starting next to this, putting question mark next to this. Like I said, I talked about UCF not too long ago when I was doing West Virginia. This could be a scary good team. Great, great run, run, run very well team. Sorry, the teams run very well. When I say it's got some else on for some reason, it's just beating on the back of my head. But here we go. I'm going to do it. That's a loss. I think they go. They've had this stretch of Arizona State, TCU, Houston, BYU, Colorado, and Iowa State. I think those teams all finish kind of around each other and on the bottom half. And just so you know, there's 16 teams in the big 12 this year. I just named off one, two, three, four, five, six of them that I'm almost positive. All six of those teams are going to be eighth to 16. So they got to step up in white class a little bit. And that's why a lot of people are predicting Utah to win their first year in big 12. Their schedule is pretty soft. Here we go. 10 and 2 with losses to Oklahoma State and UCF. I'm going to put a question mark on CFP. And then a question mark on B12 channel. They have the same record as Oklahoma State, but Oklahoma State did beat them. So let's go through the rest of these schedules and we'll see you possibly who could be playing in the big 12 championship game in Dallas, Arizona. Like I said, here comes Brent Brennan, the old San Jose state head coach his first year. Really coaching a big boy. I know I predicted Arizona to have a really good year. And I still think they can. Just with the whole first year head coach thing, your first year in a big conference. I don't know. Let's go 10 and three last year. Let's see what they do this year, Arizona. And sorry, let's do this right. They have two losses already. They lose to K State Friday, September 13th. And they lose at Utah, September 28th, because I just did the Utah youth schedule. So the best they can do is 10 and two. Here we go. August 31st, New Mexico, the Lobos go into Tucson. And of course, that's an easy win for their Arizona Wildcats. August 31st, September 2nd, Northern Arizona comes to town. It's a lot like Southern Utah. It's a lot like Abilene Christian for Tech. You play somebody that's in your state just to kind of give money to your state, give money to, you know, lesser programs. You got to get an easy win. Two and up. Like I said, September 13th, Friday night, they take a trip up to Manhattan and play the Kansas State Wildcats. And I think that is pretty scary for the Arizona Wildcats, Wildcats versus Wildcats. And this is their first, you know, big 12 game ever. And they have to go to K State. And that Manhattan crowd will be rocking. Yeah, they will lose at K State Friday, September 13th. September 21st is their buy. After the loss, it's a great place for a buy. But it looks like September 28th. They turn around, take a road trip to Utah and lose against. That's two straight losses in three weeks. Here we go. October 5th. Here you go. Here's your good get right game. The Texas Tech Rad Raiders come to your town. Two straight losses. Yeah, I mean, you got to give Arizona the wind right there, man. They get, that's a get right. I love it. I mean, I hated it against my team, but it is what it is. That's a win. October 5th against Tech. October 12th, take a road trip up to Provo to play the BYU-Pugas. That is a win right there. October 12th. October 19th, they welcome in the Colorado buffaloes. They're kind of rolling right now. This is the Arizona team that a lot of people were expecting to see early in the year, but with those two early losses, the first month and a half of the season, they're getting right. October 19th, they play Colorado and win. October 26th, West Virginia. Here we go. Okay, yeah, that is a win right there because I predict West Virginia to lose. So that is a win on October 26th. There we go. Remember second, they took a road trip to UCF to play the Knights. That is a good team. I don't know. I'll put a star. I'll put a question to Martin next to it. It's going to be a trap game as well, especially with October 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th. They are on a four-game win streak. That could be time to get brought back to life. So man, I'm tempted to do it. You know what? I am going to do it. Fuck it. Echo to UCF and lose. I'm going to have to do the UCF Knights. So here we go. November 9th is their second buy. Good place for a buy. Get right game because, you know, they just lost to UCF the week before. Friday number 15th is their next game. Perfect team. Perfect place. Just the wrong team. If you're a Houston Coopers fan right here, you've got to go into Tucson to play Arizona, and that is a loss for the Houston Coopers. Sorry, Arizona Wildcats, Beecha Friday, November 15th. November 23rd, November 23rd, they take a road trip to Fort Worth to play the TCU horror frogs. But a question mark next to this. Star next to this trap game. It's got everything you want. Man, I don't know. I don't know, man. I really don't. That's a coin flip. Yeah, that's that. I think that's they're gonna he's gonna have problems. Like I said, Arizona could have a good year, but I don't think they do. November 23rd at TCU, they lose. November 30th, Arizona State rivalry week. If they didn't lose the week before they go to Fort Worth and they beat the horn frogs, yeah, I could see this a trap game, a rivalry game. Arizona State would love to knock off Arizona. It's a it's a good it's a great rivalry game. I don't think it's in my top 10, but Arizona State's just gonna be one of those teams. They're only gonna win three or four games this year, maybe even five. And one of their wins ain't gonna be against their big brother. So that is a win right there. So it looks like eight and four for the Arizona Wildcats. You know, I can't put them in the conference championship talk. I mean, that is four conference losses. All away games too, by the way. Tough between them and Utah, they definitely have the tougher schedule going to Manhattan to play K State going to Utah. I mean, Texas Tech team, it's really not too far away from Arizona. We could show up and beat you guys going to Provo. West Virginia, you got to go to Central Florida. I got to go to Fort Worth. This could be a bad year for Arizona. Let me surprise Arizona got six and six, but if Arizona reels off at least 10 out of this tough schedule, there are college football playoff team for sure. And they're definitely a team that could be playing in Dallas for that conference championship. All right, here we go. Last but not least, my Texas Tech Red Raiders coming in last seven and six team. My Joey McGuire led team in his third year put in the best big 12 recruiting class last year, because of course, you can't include Texas or Oklahoma, right? But best we can do is 10 and two. So let's find out. August 31st, opening day, we welcome an Abilene Christian. That is a win. August 31st, September 7th. Whew, here we go. We got to take a trip to Pullman to play the Washington State Cougars. You know, one of the last two, you know, remaining teams in the Pac 12, Pac 12, technically not dead. Them in Oregon State are still the last two teams standing. Washington State would love to beat my Texas Tech Red Raiders. And this is a perfect time for my Texas Tech Red Raiders to lose. I am a Texas Tech Red Raider forever. If you're asking Sam, how long have you been a Texas Tech fan? I've been a Texas Tech, for instance, I was a toddler. Let's just say that, and I'm about to turn 36 years old. So get that through your head, do the math. Tech does that. They take a road trip to play a tough team. Early in the air, hell, look at last year, we took a trip up to Laramie. The first game of the season, we lost to the Wyoming Cowboys. So I'm not surprised if we lose this game at all. Washington State has more to prove, but my Texas Tech Raiders win in a small margin, September 7 at Wazoo. September 14th, come home and play the North Texas Mean Green. I want to say who that is. Definitely a team that could make some noise in their respective conference, but Tech's kind of rolling right now. So 3 and 0, September 14th. September 21st, welcome in Arizona State. Conference schedule starts. Great conference home opener. You welcome in the Sun Devils. I do believe we still have an axe to grind against the Arizona State Sun Devils, and I do believe we hang half a hundred on them September 21st against the Sun Devils. September 28th, here we go again. We welcome in the Cincinnati Bearcats, yet again another team that I'm probably going to finish in the bottom half of the Big 12 this year. Their coach has been gone for two years. Not one of the best teams. This isn't basketball. Tech wins September 28th against the Cincinnati. There we go. October 5th, like I said, we take a trip to Tucson and play the Arizona Wildcats when we lose. That's a humbling win or a humbling loss, I should say. Sorry for my Texas Tech team, because honestly, we all have somewhere we're trying to get to. VGW Group, Ford were prohibited by law 18 plus terms and conditions apply for those five previous games. We should win. We should be at least four in one going on into this game. If I'm going to be a perfect tech fan, an optimistic tech fan, but I also want to be non-biased and I want to be as real as possible and still predict losses as I can. But since I did Arizona, we lose that game like they're October 5th. October 12th is our buy. Love the buy. Perfect time for a buy because our season in half pretty much, but we still got another buy to go. So let's see. October 19th, welcome in the Baylor Bears. Definitely Texas rival. That's not one of the biggest rivalries in Texas. Everybody will say that. But these are two teams that we definitely do not like each other. Joey McGuire and I can't think of his name right now. Dave Oranda. Sorry. Used to work together. We actually took joint water away from the Baylor Bears. And it seems like that might have been what was they were missing because it seems like right when he came to Lubbock, Baylor started to struggle. Their recruiting wasn't as good and ours have been up. So that changed a lot. So the last time Baylor was here was Mahomes Night. Mahomes got inducted into the Texas Tech Ring of Honor, where he's got his name on the inside bowl of the stadium. And we got our butts kicked by Baylor that night. So I do believe we exalt our revenge October 19th against the Baylor Bears and get a win. October 26th, we take a rope trip down to Fort Worth to play TCU Horn Frogs. Yet again, another team, you know, a rival. You know, we're not going to be be playing Texas anymore. So we got to come up with a new rival. And it's going to be between Baylor, TCU, and Oklahoma State, I do believe. There's just two teams of we are all these teams. We just don't like each other. I wouldn't say there's an hate factor yet. TCU definitely hates us. I don't think we hate TCU. There is a lot of alumni down in Dallas. It seems like every time Tech goes and plays in Fort Worth, we either get beat by like 50 or 60, or there are just as many tech fans in the stadium as there are purple, you know, in the stadium. But this one's no different. I do believe we go down to Fort Worth, October 26th, and beat the TCU Horn Frogs. Remember second, here we go. Take a trip to Ames, Iowa to play the Iowa State cyclone. I put a question mark next to this. I put a star next to this, and I put a T next to this. Tech's kind of rolling, you know, with that Arizona loss kind of a couple weeks before, they rolled off a couple of wins, you know, looking high in mind that they've only lost one game right here. Man, that's tough. Yeah, I got to do it. We just, I hope I'm wrong, but November 2nd, we go to Ames, Iowa, and lose to Iowa State. Remember ninth? Good bounce back game. We welcome in the Colorado buffaloes. If there was one game, I could go to this year. I mean, I'm going to go to one. I have to keep my streak alive. I've been going to at least one tech football home game every year since I was eight years old. I want to say, so I've been to, I know I've been to well over 50, so I have to go to at least one home game this year to keep my streak going. So if it, if it's November 9th at Colorado, so be it. But I will be at Jones, AT&T Stadium at some point in time during October 31st through November 30th, you can count on it and see it will be there. Yeah, Colorado comes to town. We just lost a week before. That's a get right game. That stadium is going to be rocking and Texas Tech beats Colorado November 9th. November 16th, our last buy of the season. Good time for a buy. Those are some tough games that we had between October 12th and November 16th and losing one of them. Heck, we could, we could lose at least two of those. But here we go. November 23rd, I already did Oklahoma State. We go to Stillwater and we lose to the Cowboys. Just a tough, tough place to play. They are still the class of the big 12. They are still the team that you need to be. And it is what it is. We haven't gone to Stillwater and beat the Cowboys in a long time. And it doesn't change. Now I hope it's wrong. I hope we flip. You know, we lose to Iowa State and then beat Oklahoma State this week, you know, so on and so forth. But we got to get that monkey off our back at some point in time. But from the way it's looking, it's not happening this year. So here we go. There's our third loss November 23rd at Oklahoma State. November 30th, we welcome in West Virginia. And since I already did West Virginia, they come to our house and we win because I truly do believe that we go undefeated in our home series, our all our home games this year. When you do something to your stadium, when you renovate your stadium, you make your stadium bigger, you make your stadium better, more interactive, you just get the hype. You get the backing. I know, you know, you're our losses this year all on the road. But there are two formidable teams. Can we lose a couple of teams to these teams at home? Absolutely. But November 30th, we still have a shot at a conference championship at this time. And West Virginia, it's a team that we don't like as well. But I do play in a home. We beat West Virginia 30th. Looks like nine and three. And I'll leave it at that. I can't put anything about cultural play up or big 12 championships because it looks like we have the same record as case state and Oklahoma State and Utah are above us. So we kind of need something to happen, but losing to Oklahoma State, that would hurt us at the end of the year for a spot to play in the big 12 championship game. But like I said, I hope I'm wrong. I hope we win at least seven or eight games this year. I don't want a bad season. You know, you can't have a renovation in your stadium, spending over $250 million to make your stadium one of the best, coolest, you know, environments and all of college football. Please look it up if you can. Anything less than eight wins this year. I do believe that is a failure for joining a squire. I'm not calling for his head. Not yet. Anyway, he's still doing a great job. He's done his thing in the recruiting class. But at some point in time, it all has to hit. We got to and especially in this first year, the big 12, the new big 12, we got to come out running and let's show that we are a formidable foe in this new big 12 championship. So that does it for me, guys. I'm coming in a little bit over a little under now. We're right about now. I did four teams. I've done, let's see here, six teams for the big 12. I still might do, I've got to do UCF now. I'm going to do Colorado as well. But I'm going to do those at a later time. So here we go. The 30th of this month should be the SEC dropping. So that's July 30th. August 6th should be my last G5. I'm going to do the last couple of teams that I think could possibly be playing in that college football playoff as the 12th seed. August 13th. I'm going to do all those bonus teams. I'm going to go in, you know, maybe do a Louisville and the ACC, maybe another big 10 team. Maybe, oh, of course, I'm going to do Colorado and UCF now. So I'm going to have a pretty good show right there. It's going to be all lumped up. These are all teams that could possibly make some noise in their respective conference. Definitely going to throw in Notre Dame into there and that one's going to drop. It should drop at least August 13th around there. 12th if you're a pitcher. I remember could be 14th or 15th. But expect the week of whenever I'm saying these dates that those shows are going to drop. August 20th, that's going to be my bonus episode. That is going to be my Heisman show. I'm going to give you guys a bunch of names. Of course, you know, your guys that you are going to know, your Quinn Ewers and no Noah Fafitas and your Carson Bex. I'm going to talk about those guys, but I'm also going to give you guys some smaller guys from smaller schools, some guys that could possibly hold that 20-something pound bronze trophy in December as the NCA's most valuable player. And then I'm going to talk about a little coaching. Hopefully on that same episode, I'll try to make it about an hour, hour 10, hour 15, maybe at the most. But talk about some of these coaches. You know, Mac Brown comes to mind. The guy's coaching Florida. I can't think of his name at the top, Billy Napier to stop my head. Guys that I would even throw Brent Vinnables into the hot seat coaches that might not be at their alma mater at the end of the year. I say Brent Vinnables, because I think he's going into his fourth year. Texas is getting all the love, all the respect, going into their first year in the SEC. He's got a lot to prove. He's definitely been doing his thing on the recruiting trail, but at some point in time, you know, it all has to come out on the field. You need to see wins. Oklahoma's not a place that eight and nine wins is enough. You know, you got to start winning 10 and 11. So definitely throwing that in there. And then August 27, it's going to be week one preview, because I do believe the 29th. Here's at the 28th. I'm going to say it's the 29th. It's the season start. So I got to go ahead and start doing that. So counting this show, you got the 30th, the 6th of August, the 13th of August, the 20th of August, and the 27th of August. That is six more shows, guys. And it is college football time. I'm going to have one show each week until season starts. And I've been, Kyle have covered every team, hopefully, that, you know, I think it has a shot at, you know, holding up that college football playoff national championship trophy. I'll break down, like I said, at least six, seven members of each conference. So, you know, I wanted to do about 30 teams. So I'll probably be pretty close to that out of all these conferences and non-powered five. So you're going to be familiar, you know, with all these teams. So whenever I start doing the week one preview, and then the week two review, yada, yada, yada, you're going to know these teams, because I talked about them. And they're going to be flipping your channel at Saturday at 230. And you're going to see a team that I possibly talked about in a game I possibly talked about. And hopefully you guys watch it, because that's exactly what I'm trying to do. You can just call me Professor CM, because I'm trying to school you on college football. I'm trying to make the average college football fan a college football fanatic like me, because it's a beautiful game. I know it's not NFL, the NFL is the, you know, tried and true number one. But, you know, it has to start somewhere. And, you know, when you have your eyes on college football, like I do, you kind of have a leg up when it comes to draft, someone and so forth as well. So I hope you guys enjoyed yourself, because I only have a few more episodes. And it's going to be here, guys, college football is right around the corner. I hope you're enjoying your summer. I hope you had a happy and safe Fourth of July. Hopefully you still have all 10 fingers and 10 toes and you didn't blow your ear off or blow your ear jump off or set no fires or blew up a car or anything. I hope you were safe. I had a great Fourth of July myself, went out in the country to a friend's house and of course pot tops and, you know, pot fireworks and had some good food, played volleyball, had all kinds of good stuff going on. So I had a great time. I hope you guys did as well. I hope you were having a fun, safe summer. Continue to have a fun, safe summer. And I will say, if you, I said it right now, it is July 15th. As a lot of people know, by this time this episode comes out, there was a assassination attempt on my president and I say who my president is Donald J. Trump, you know, a future 47th president in the United States. I hate to get political, but at this point, there's a line in the sand. You're either on the side of good or you're on the side of bad and I know which side I'm on. So if you don't like me because of that, you know, so be it. But I hope there's a lot more out there that are on the good nature Christian side of things and not on the evil, evolution, killing and calling people Hitler and so on and so forth. I don't want to make this show, you know, patriotic or political at all at any point in time, but I still want to speak my mind because I have that option. I have that right because it is the, what it takes to be an American. So I hope things get better. I mean, and I say that, and I say that every time when I talk to you guys at the end of the show, please be good. You know, have fun and be good people. And I say that truly because I really, truly do. I want you guys to be as bad as people as you possibly can. Just know that people are going through stuff every single day. You don't know what people are going through trying not to be ugly. So please take care of yourself. Like I said, if you are downtrodden, just keep your chin up. Just keep going because it gets better. I promise you it really will. So thank you guys. Big shout outs to all the countries out there. All the new ones Israel, New Zealand, Italy, Lithuania, Belgium, Brazil, Estonia and Spain. Thank you guys, all these new countries that listen to us. Mr. Mike Ritter, Mr. Terry Minifield doing their thing as well. They are getting ready for football season as well. I know college football starts about a week before NFL, but you know, they got all that good stuff going. They got their TOD right now, team of Destiny series going through all the years. And if you're a 20 something, if you're a 30 something, you are starting to pay attention, maybe hopefully a little bit more, just because these are teams that you grew up seeing. I remember the 90s. Absolutely. I remember the 90s, something 91, 92 Dallas Cowboys was four or five years old by then. So I definitely knew football right before I started playing flag. And I do believe it was like six or sevens when I started playing football, so something like that. But yeah, that's it guys. Thank you so much. Big shout out to all the family out there.
