It's Wednesday you know what that means, it's time for blood and guts. This is the AEW Fat Hub Podcast team, and this is all Elite Talk, and this is Kelson. This is Alex, and yeah, let's start things off by talking about the main event from tonight. We had the Blood and Guts match, team AEW versus team Elite. This match, you know, I think it's really cool that the AEW does these matches on pre-TV. Like it's just, you know, nuts. Guys getting stapled, like sometimes I'm watching this match, and I'm thinking like, how do they let them do these things on TV? I know AEW pushes the boundaries a lot, but when four guys are stapling one guy, all at the same time. Alex, I was thinking the same thing as I was watching this match tonight, honestly. Yeah, like, you know, other than the Nick Gage Pizza Cutter incident, we haven't really heard of the network really being upset with anything they've done, but they really, really push the boundaries. I have nothing against it personally, but yeah, it is kind of wild. Well, it was after 9 p.m., so... Wasn't the pizza thing? They were mad because people were ragging on Domino's because of that one commercial cut. So they're like, no, it might be upsetting the investors. Yeah, I think it made it seem like maybe Domino's thought it was a good idea like they wanted their commercial there. So Staples is not a sponsor? This? No. Yeah, that would have been awesome cut away to a Staples commercial. Oh, wow. Oh, this segment is brought to you by Staples. Yeah, that was wild. That was it. That swerve just laughing it off. Oh, I love that call back so much. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, it was an insane match. Thumbtax, the Bitchmaker, I think. Ocada's low blow maneuver. Yeah. Yeah, Bowen's going through the tables. Darby's crazy coffin drop from straddling the top of the cage. Climbing side by the monkey, yeah. I mean, you got to give Darby credit for that because he did that toward the end of the match. And he was really going all out, threw out the entire batch. He had the bet. I mean, his arms must have been quaking just from the stress and the strenuousness of that. I can't imagine. Yeah, yeah, I almost, I mean, Darby was crazy tonight, but he didn't have that one thing where you're like, oh my God, Darby, don't do it. I don't know if that's a bad thing. No, because I was thinking about it. I'd like to hear everybody else's opinion on this, but Darby is known. I mean, look, wasn't that went through the table? Was it Bowen's? Yeah, that normally you would think that that would have been Darby, because that's a Darby thing. I was kind of happy that Darby didn't do anything off the outside top of the cage or climb it up the cage or anything like that. He stayed in the cage. He had that, he had that coffee drop spot, but he really didn't do anything that you would expect Darby to do. He's getting older. Yeah, he's lost his mojo. He's getting older. He can't do that stuff anymore. He figured it out after the last one, where he was hung up, son down and kicked a few times. He's getting past his prime. He's running out of energy. That's his prime, but yeah, he's fooling up his bump card, for sure. And you can only push it so much. You can only top your last move. Like he can go through a ladder to the outside of the ring through chairs. What does he do after that? Yeah, I mean, I like the face that he's coming back from pretty serious injuries too. So I'm sure they told him take it easy as far as Darby can take it easy. He could have took a ladder to the top of the cage and dive bomb through it to a table. That would have been Darby's thing. Yeah, it's a Darby's Darbyism. I was kind of surprised that he didn't do worse considering that I was reading yesterday, today, wherever. Oh, I have some stuff in my pocket for blood and guts. So I was just there like, oh my god, he's going to pull out a scissor board. Thankfully, while there were scissors in the match, there were no scissor boards, because I may be a deathmatch weirdo, but scissor boards are just too visceral even for me. Thankfully, all he did was, you know, cough and drop off the ceiling and then try to set Jack Perry on fire. It's honestly pretty subdued for him. Very much so. That was all along the round a lot, though, and that was pretty great. So, Red, I want to ask you, what did you think of the match? And what did you think of the ending? I mean, they made a match for all in at the end of blood and guts. Well, as far as Darby's concerned, this guy's gotten in handed to him. And how many matches now by the Young Bucks? I think it's time someone else, you know, shares the pain with him. In this case, it was Bones, who kind of careened off that table the wrong way it looked like. But it was a good match. I mean, you know, I like the swerve. He got the handcuffs. Jeff Jarrett, the gun gets involved. I thought that was fun. You know, I thought the segment where he was fighting off all the elite with the staple guns was a little like, is this guy a superhero? Is he or is he a man? Because he just is fighting five guys by himself. It's pretty crazy, but yeah, it's good. I think everyone got a little bit of their stuff in. I think Mark Brisco looked really good throughout the match. I'm happy for him. I think the ending was great. I mean, to have Jack Perry not submit, not quit was awesome. Yeah, that was well done. Um, Sutton, what did you think about the match? And specifically, I want to ask you about Casucica Ocada. And what did you think about him or anybody else you want to talk about? But I really want to hear what everybody thought about Ocada too. I thought Ocada did really well. Like they said, you know, who would have ever thought you would have saw Ocada in a match like that? That's not his thing. I mean, but I think he looked like he was having fun. Love the match. I thought it was compared to the ones in the past. I definitely think this was the best one. I really want to know if they would have went through with that. That would have been too over the top, I believe, for them to really set him on fire. But it was excellent. Ocada got in some good things. He took some good things. I was really impressed. I really, really liked the way that match went. Yeah. So, okay, I'm going to ask you the same question. Did you like what Ocada did? And is there anything else that stood out for you? And I mean, what did you think about the entire match? I'm going to be the Grinch here. I really didn't like that match. I thought it went way too long. It just felt like a young bucks wet dream of a match. And I just couldn't wait for it to be over to be honest with you. Well, is there any specific reason why? I mean, other than it going too long. I mean, is there any specific reason why you say it was a young bucks wet dream of a match? Do you think that they were front and center too much? Or is it just you just didn't want to see the young bucks in the match at all? Anyway, it's, you know, it's a thumbtax in the mouth. It's the pumping up the, you know, pumping up their sneakers. It's just little things. Things like that that I think that they love to do, and they love this match. I know they do. I love Anarkina Arena. Don't get me wrong, but I just feel if this match was too much and it was a big hot mess. And I know it's supposed to be, but it just didn't excite me the way that normally a better surrounding match does. Was anybody surprised that Hangman Adam Page did not come out when his music hit? Because I certainly wasn't. I honestly figured that either when Swerve's music hit, either Hangman was going to drag Swerve out or Swerve was going to drag Hangman out, that they'd been fighting backstage. I was a little pleasantly surprised to have Hangman just, you know, full-on attack him from the back. Because again, Hangman is driven to distraction by Swerve. I love it. One thing that I noticed, and I don't know if this means anything, but both Swerve and Hangman came out of the babyface tunnel. Take that as you will. I was actually reading something about this the other day. I don't remember where neither of them sees himself as a bad guy right now. Hangman, I mean, for all that he's doing some really horrible stuff, his motives are understandable. This guy attacked his family. Like he had to move apparently. So he's like, no, I'm the good guy. Even if my song is called like, what is it? Is it black hat now or something like that? Yeah, well, let me just ask everybody just starting from red. Do you think that Swerve is more of a face than Hangman or the other way around? You know, Swerve, has Swerve ever really been a babyface per se? He's well received, but his actions don't correlate to that. I think in his feed with Will Osprey, he showed that he has no qualms about resorting to underhanded methods and questionable things. Hangman hasn't really done anything questionable so much as he's just been overtly violent. He's been direct and that's sort of in line with how he's been his entire career. He's a part hitting guy. He's not pulling any punches. He has a goal. He's going to reach that goal. I, a lot of it's the crowd reception versus the story. The story would dictate Hangman's the hero. He's the guy seeking revenge for something that was unjustly done to him. But that doesn't seem that way, you know, I mean. Right. Well, Alex, what are your thoughts on that? Yeah, I think, you know, since Swerve became number one contender, I think he's been, he's had a little bit of healers tendencies, but I feel like they've been treating him as if he's a babyface. And I think he's been mostly a face, in my opinion. He still retained some of his sadistic sneaky Swerve stuff, but it's clearly like in the babyface direction. And he's mainly fighting pretty clear heals like Christian Cage. And the Will Osprey match was kind of face versus face and he leaned more heal. But then he was consoling Will Osprey at the end of the match. He was pretty clearly a face and then Hangman's been very excessively violent in his matches. He's been trying to kill Jeff Jarrett and things like that. So yeah, you can see the reasoning behind Hangman, but I think I think they're definitely treating it like he's the villain and Swerve is the face to me. Well, Sutton, what are your thoughts? I see Swerve as a true to life tweener. He's not, I don't see him either way. He can go either way depending on the situation. So, you know, he's going to work nights where he's going to work against somebody like Christian. He's going to be a face, but when he goes up against somebody that he has to bend the rules, he's not afraid to do that. Adam Page, honestly, I'm, this is like, for me, it's like he's almost to the point of insanity. With how much obsessed he is with Swerve. And I get his family was attacked, but so was Nick Waines was attacked in his family thing and all that other stuff and it didn't go there. So I don't know, I'm a little, not so hot on that one, but I think they'll have a good match. Hopefully they'll end it and Hangman can return to the guy he used to be and be more fun. But I don't know, I don't see Hangman as a, a baby face because of what he's going through. I think he is more of the heel, but it's hard to differentiate between the two right now. All right, what about you, okay? So I'm going to borrow a comic book analogy. Swerve feels like if the Joker decided to be a somewhat good guy and he had to kind of win real back of what he did in the past and he can get rest in position. He's like a guy you can't take down because, you know, I think it's great. I didn't like the staple thing that made him working stronger, but he's a guy who has to conform to what he did in the past. He did some bad stuff, people like Keith Lee and stuff like that. And he's trying to work his way back. I think Hangman is more like a Death Starado who has had enough and has turned to the dark side a little bit to, to basically say, you know, I'm tired of this stuff. I'm tired of being a good guy and it's time for change, but those two work well together. I love that to me was the best part of blood and guts was the story between those two. And I hope it keeps up for a long while. All right, well, Seth, I'm going to let you bring this session home. Thank you. So when it comes to the whole heel face thing, I think that MK is right. They're both definitely more on the tweener side right now. I've been pretty vocal about comparing Hangman to Anakin Skywalker in the past. I thought of something else while I was watching earlier today. Have any of y'all ever seen? Oh, dang it. What's it called? Gerard Butler. He's in prison. Jamie Fox is like a cop. It's not man on fire. That wasn't really better. Well, I'll remember later. But it's a movie about a guy whose family is killed by like criminals and he kills them back and then he's in jail and you realize, oh, this guy's kind of crazy. It started fine, but it's crazy. That's kind of where I'm seeing Hangman out right now. Swerve is, again, he's not exactly a face. He's, I do love the continued. What do you mean I'm having to face consequences for the things I did? He just, he's so surprised by it every time. And it's like, dude, you can't just terrorize people for years. And then expect them to be totally cool with listening to you. So I love, again, interacting with Hangman has been kind of making Swerve better. Interacting with Swerve has basically made Hangman so much worse. They have crazy chemistry together. The anticipation over the whole match of, oh my god, what are they going to do when they meet? What are they going to do when they meet? And then in particular, them slow walking across the two rings to each other before they start beating the hell out of each other. I loved that. I do wish they had stayed around for the whole match, but I do also get that I think that would have taken attention away from the ending they had planned. Right. Yeah. Well, in my opinion, before we move on to the next segment, in my opinion, they're both anti-heroes. And I'll just leave it at that. So let's move on. Longening citizen. Let's move on. The opening of the show. MJF comes out and he cuts for me easily the best promo he's done since he's come back this year. He was full on heel. And I don't know if you guys saw it. He did a podcast interview, I guess, earlier today. And he was talking about his match with Will Osprey. And he was full on MJF in this podcast. He was talking about Will Osprey running away from him, going out of the ring and up into the crowd. And MJF had to chase him. And MJF said that he was beating the crap out of him. And then the crowd got involved. A little girl pulled a gun on him. And so it was just the other guy that was interviewing him. His name is Justin. I can't remember his last name. But it's posted all over the place. If you haven't seen it yet, go watch it because MJF just lied through the entire interview. It's only like a two-minute segment of the interview that he was talking about the Will Osprey match. And he carried it on tonight. The only thing I was disappointed about tonight was that Will Osprey didn't bring the little girl out with a scared death out of MJF. But I thought this was a brilliant segment with MJF coming out and spewing his MJF stuff. And then Will Osprey coming out and Will Osprey was on fire. The whole segment was on point to me. What did you guys think about it? Yeah, it was amazing. It was great. It was probably my favorite part of the show even, including the whole "Blood and Guts" match. Yeah, I love Hill and MJF. We haven't really had that style of an MJF segment in such a long time. The, you know, calling out Will Osprey's grandma, which is just those moments where it's just so horrible, but I don't know. Yeah, I mean, it was cool off the hill. He was doing everything that a heel could possibly do. Yeah, you know, he started getting the American chances. He's unveiling his flag in the new American championship. And then he made sure to put Nashville back in their place and let them know that, "No, do not share me. You guys don't count as America, basically." How about that flag with the stars be replaced by little empty-back basses? I mean, it was just prepossed. It was just so over the top heel and it was perfect. Yeah, and it's so perfect because it's just going to make that England crowd so much more crazy because now he's made it America versus England. For the American title. Yeah, it's beautiful. It's great. I'm so excited for their match, even though we just had an hour of them wrestling. I can't wait for more of it. Yeah, so it's a different level. I mean, the match that they had last week was great. It was great. But now we've got a change of scenery for the American title with MJF just absolutely bonkers heel. Yeah. Plus, he actually called that little girl a terrorist. So maybe they'll bring the little girl to all end, which I think would be perfect. But whatever. Who else has an opinion about MJF and Will Osprey open the show? It's like you need, I'm unaware it was posted on which place I've seen it. But back in the day, I guess, in Japan, there was a Japanese title and I guess Osprey put the English flag on it and it became that to him. So maybe that's a great parallel to what they're doing. I loved it. I loved MJF. That was probably the best segment of the night. So more power to what he's doing. I think this is going to be a hot deal for a long time between these two. And the build up is going to be great and it'll probably be one of the best matches of the card. But those two really know how to get together. They have great chemistry and I will claw Tony for putting them together so soon. I thought they would wait a little bit on this. But these two are working it together and I love it. Right, who's next? Yeah. So I. God. MJF has such a he's so great. He has such a great cadence and command over the crowd when he's acting like a villain. And it's it's it's like a warm familiar feeling. It's so nice to hear him back in that groove. And like MK said, you know, the when will be Kenny at Forbidden Door for the IWGP US title. He changed it to the IWGP United Kingdom title. The parallels are there. It's good symmetry. Poetry, I guess it rhymes. And you know, that well, the title is beautiful. The American Championship. I don't know how long it'll last, but God, what a belt. I mean. Well, do you think that it should be the American since one of the things that we've talked about in the past is that what's the why do we have a. Continental and an international championship because they're basically the same thing. So if we have like an American championship, does that make a little bit more sense to you? I mean, they did announce that it's official. That I saw. Well, when Osprey responded, he said that I'll get my international title back. So yes, he did. So I it's tough to say. I mean, you're right. It's sort of redundant to have a continental crown and then an international championship. I mean, but you know, I mean, if I, if it were my decision, I'd unify those titles. So I don't know. Maybe I'm not the right person to ask, but. No, we've actually spoke about unifying them ourselves in the past. Nobody else wants to speak. Oh, okay. I didn't know if you were done or not. Yeah, I loved that whole callback to Will Osprey's whole thing last year with the IWGP United Kingdom belt. Did anybody else? Okay. So the cheerleaders come out. They're in red, white and blue. My stomach sinks, but in like an excited way, I'm like, oh, no, I know what he's going to do. And yes, he made it the US title. But does anybody remember right before Cody left? When we were all convinced he was going to be a nationalist heel. Allah Homelander. I'm wondering, okay, we know MJF likes to have fun at election season. He did it in 2020 as well for a little bit. I wasn't sure if it's a reference if he's just taking advantage of that. Or if it was the Cody thing, because, you know, we got a couple of little homages tonight. Darby did a scorpion death drop at one point. I'm just curious if anybody else thought of that connection or if it was just me. I did not. I remember when Cody versus a go-go and somehow a go-go came out. The guy they were hearing, but I don't remember what else you're talking about there. But yeah, it was great to see the page pre-hotting that aside come out. Well, something do you have anything to say about this? I thought it was a great segment. I'm not sure that's why he did it that way. I think he just did to get under osprey skin and to further their thing more than for any other reason. And I thought it was great. Well, let's take us home and go on to the next segment that you want to talk about. Sure. Yeah, I was a little bit worried that he was going to debut a new Burberry version of the international title. It crossed my mind too. Yeah, because that never looked good. It was a little too brown. Didn't really, the Burberry part didn't really pop. Yeah, let's talk about Dr. Britt Baker, the MD versus Hakaro Shida. So this was her first match since she's been back. I'm sure that has some thoughts on this. I thought Britt looked a little bit rusty. Hakaro Shida looked pretty good in my opinion, and it really made me wish that we had Hakaro Shida in some sort of angle that was, and maybe this is the start of it. She had some hints like she's reaching for Kendo stick as she maybe can I give into that her darker side. But yeah, I'd like to see more of Hakaro Shida consistently and just have a role in the show, some sort of storyline ongoing. That was my biggest takeaway. And then we really, then we got Camille, the debut of Camille finally. She's been signed for once at months, is my understanding. And she's now Mercedes Monet's heavy. And I think that's exciting, and it kind of leaves the, it sets things up for Britt Baker to have her heavy return. Because basically, you know, Jamie Hader back in the day was debuted basically the same way that Camille just did and played the same role for Britt Baker that I imagine Camille's going to play. So I think it really sets the table up for Jamie Hader. And who knows what match we're going to get it all in. You know, I got to say something here is that I am one of those guys that I don't think that Jamie Hader is going to be back anytime soon. Everybody says Jamie Hader, Jamie Hader, Jamie Hader, but I just don't see it. I just am not confident about Jamie Hader. I think this match served a purpose. And that purpose was to make Hakaro Shida look good. And I think Hakaro Shida, the whole team with Britt Baker, Britt Baker did not have a lot of offense in this match. But she made Hakaro, she did the work. She made Hakaro Shida look good in this match. And then beat her with a basically a surprise roll up lock jaw. You know, that's the only way I can explain it. It was, it was a very reminiscent of a international title Orange Cassidy match where Orange is a champion, got beat up the entire match, and then just all of a sudden won. And Orange was doing a good job of putting over whoever he was wrestling. And I think Britt Baker did that job tonight in making Hakaro Shida look really good. Because I think Fida is going to come to Britt Baker's assistance, not Jamie Hader. Okay, I got to totally disagree. Again, it was a typical Britt Baker match. She got the shit kicked out over the whole time, has no offensive moves, and then gets a win because Shida took a, I missed step for one second and he lost. Shida doesn't need anybody to make her look good. She's that good. It's the other way around. She made Baker look good the whole time the match went on. And it's always been like that. I think it was, and for everybody to say, "Oh, Jamie Hader's going to come back and be Britt Baker's heavy. Why would she take a step back?" She was the world champion when she got hurt. Going back and becoming part of the Britt Baker vortex would be a terrible thing move for Jamie Hader because I wasn't impressed. I mean, she did look a little bit better in the ring than she used to, but it's the same thing. It's always the same thing with her. She comes in, she gets beat up, she does her two moves that she has, one's a sling blade, the other's a neckbreaker, then she does an attempted stomp that she'll miss, then she gets the roll up into the move that, honestly that move is, I get it, I get what it's about, but that move is not that impressive. So, it was a typical Britt Baker match. I liked the debut of Camille. I thought that was great, and we'll see where that goes. But I wasn't impressed at all with what Britt Baker did at night. She looked just as good as she did when she was there before. Okay, I really liked Camille coming out. People were questioning who was that. I had to explain it to a few people, but I don't know who she is. She was with NWA when they were on YouTube. She's married to another rest, so I can't remember his name. But look, she looked great, and I told people also that her outfit kind of gave a china vibe to it. But she was good. Britt was okay, but like Kelton said, I think she really did the work, and she got over more. I'm kind of interested, I'm kind of interested to see what it would go, but it's Britt Baker and like Kelton's, I like that. Sutton said she's just not worth the time. I mean, she's not as good as she's not supposed to be. I thought she was solid. The thing about Britt is she's, I feel like she's never truly exceptional in the ring, but she's solid. And the whole her getting beat up for most of the match, it fit as somebody who's coming back from, you know, over a year of not wrestling. And of course, compared to Shida, who we're seeing be a bit more aggressive, I saw like four references to her looking like a mob boss when she was walking out, which very yes, I highly approve of this look. But I would, I was so glad to see Camille. I honestly forgot that she was signed. And I also think that when the eventual Mercedes and Camille versus Britt and Jamie happens, I'm going to be very happy. So what about you, Rhett? We've heard Mercedes Monet express interest in having a stardom like faction. I think that will happen. She's mentioned the renegade twins. I think that might happen. I think Camille is the first step. This is the enforcer. I don't expect Jamie Hader to get involved in this anytime soon. I agree with Sutton that Jamie Hader was a champion and we'll look to retrieve her championship when she returns. I don't think she's going to involve herself in this. I think it would be better for Britt to not have any help in this situation. She's someone who is so far acted alone and not in very direct way. She comes out, she tricks Mercedes. She intervenes in her segments and her matches. I think that's how this is probably going to continue. And I think it probably, before all in, will end with her beating Camille in the match. I'm glad you brought up the renegade twins because there's been, you know, I went on Twitter right after that segment. And so many people were posting, you know, we're saying he's Monet Camille and Robin and Charlotte renegades pictures saying, where are we going to call this faction? So even a lot of people out in the community are expecting that to happen. All right. Well, I'm going to go ahead and address this. The elephant in the room. Look, I've already said that AW blood and guts got off to a great start with MGF coming out. And then we'll all spray. And it was just they set up a match at all in for the American championship. And then the learning tree happened. And I watched the match if you could call it a match. As I said last night that I would watch it if they didn't let Jericho, you know, be because I think that's preposterous and stupid. But if I thought that the learning tree segments TV time was preposterous and stupid, this match for me. And I saw people saying how much they love this match. But this match for me was dog shit. I agree. And that's all I can say about it. I thought it was more solid than I was expecting mostly on Suzuki's part. Those chops that any any time that somebody gets busted open just from hitting like for real for real. Wow. Well, you hit Jericho on that giant pimple that he had on his chest. That's a busted open. Well, let's be real here. I mean, that's a thing that popped and went all over the place. I just thought AEW trying to appeal to a new audience. Dr. Pimple Popper spans. Oh my God. I just thought. I don't know. I mean, they literally chopped and did nothing but chopped nothing but chopped until the first commercial break. I mean, although they went through the first commercial break, it went after that. Yeah, I know. It's like 10 minutes of the match. And they went to rings to do it. And it's not like they haven't had that before. That just happened in a paper view not long ago. Who was it? It's a paper view. It was Jericho and somebody did the exact same thing. But just the way it ended so quickly just didn't make any sense. That I was crazy. You get Jericho two moves and he beats him. I mean, come on now. Menorah Suzuki's better than that. It was a low blow too. Yeah, yeah. But my whole point of this is that when you are trying to get ratings and you start out as hot as you did with MJF and Will Osprey, why in the holy hell would you go to Chris Jericho Menorah Suzuki to chop for 15 minutes? It doesn't make a wick of sense to me. Somebody tell me that I'm wrong here. You're not wrong. I think it was Jericho. It wasn't worse than when he was in the seven trials at them. I just I like Jericho. I like the learning tree. But if they want excitement in a match, coughing for five, 10 minutes straight is dumb. I get tired of the excessive chopping. I know Kelson loves the machines on shops, but we all don't want to see other fun. Well, yeah, the machine done chops are just downright orgasmic. Yeah, they're fun to walk. But I just got tired of it. I thought Jericho could have done better in this match and really stepped it up and actually had a good match. I don't know if if murder grandpa is up to having a great, great match. But this wasn't worth my time. It set up nicely for other things. But I got a feeling people were saying it's going to be three on three at Wim Lee and I don't want that match on the card. I really don't. I think you're right about the three on three at Wim Lee. But the thing is, I'm really excited for everyone that would be in that match, except Jericho. For all of everything that happened and everything around the learning tree, when Brian Keith got to choke out Suzuki there on the mat and then get chased around by Shabbat a little bit, I'm like, yeah, this guy that I've seen at indie shows for a while, he's getting his money. I'm glad for him. I like Big Bill. He is proof that being a silly little guy is not a hype thing. It's all about the energy. So I like the rest of the learning tree. And I think Jericho, what Jericho is doing is a very specific thing that he is playing to the hilt. And I understand that. When it comes to the actual people in the ring, he's the only one in that potential six man match. I wish was not in it. For me, it's hook. I don't know why something about hooks really. I'm just tired of hook and really tired of him in the whole in this vortex, I guess. And that's maybe the point of it. The one thing about this match is, Eddie Kingston, he's been hurt for a while. So we haven't had these chop fest matches. And I find it's kind of like not an acquired taste, but it's like chocolate cake or something. You don't want to eat it every day, but maybe once every six months is OK. So I enjoyed it. For what it's worth. Yeah, I usually don't love my neuro Suzuki, but him once a year, once every six months, I can handle. I mean, for some people, this was probably a dream match. Jericho versus Suzuki. I don't think they've ever wrestled one on one before. For what it was, it wasn't too long. I didn't hate it. I do like the learning tree. But yeah, I just I don't like it was nice seeing Shabbatah back, but I kind of want their whole. I just want everyone to go in different directions. Brad, what did you think? I mean, the Norris Suzuki is 56. Chris Jericho is 53. And wrestling years, these guys are geriatric. I mean, we're talking beyond these guys aren't old. They're they're like in the nursing home. You know, what can you expect from two guys that are this physically limited in what they can do? If you hate Chris Jericho, I suppose maybe this was cathartic because he did get chopped so hard. It ripped his chest open. It got hit with the chair a couple times, you know, but beyond that, I mean, I, you know, seven years ago, this was a dream match. I guess as simple as I could put it. I mean, now in the year of our Lord 2024, I don't know, well, no, no, not that. But yeah, so Alex, what do you want to talk about next? I don't know if there was anything else, but I am seeing we didn't have the debut of Mariah May. I blinked and I missed the match itself, but I didn't see the part after with Tony Storm coming back. She looked, she looked great. She got her hair clicked back and that little brawl they had was was amazing. I think the crowd was super into it. I can't wait to see the rest of this feud through the next few weeks and and as we've said before, it could be the main event of all in and I don't think anyone would complain. Yeah, I mean, it was a quick match. It was a quick match. What did what did you guys think of Mariah May against? I didn't even catch the name of the person. She was wrestling and then Tony Storm coming back out. Because I don't know about you guys, but I thought Tony Storm looked a little bit demented. That's for sure. I didn't really know this that much difference between what Mariah May was doing before and the new glamour that she's supposed to be doing. There wasn't really that much of a difference to it, except she didn't come out with Tony. So that was kind of a weird thing for me, but the match was decent. The girl that she had to face was again a local hometown hero fodder that you get in these kind of things. And then the little bit of a brawl afterwards is definitely feeding the fire. So it's going to be interesting. We'll see what happens. So I'd like Mariah May. I know Kelson's seen the video because you posted it somewhere on Reddit, but the new one where she is more of a, the video has a very 980s, has a very full of more glamour, has hints of reference at Tiffany photo shoot, has some other hints of different types of movie things. So they're still going off this movie type of thing, but it's the new age type type movies. I love it. I think as Alex said, this could be a main event for for all and people wouldn't care because it's it's legitimate, in my opinion, the best storyline and in wrestling right now. It's got peaks and valleys. It's it's to me, it's pardon the pun, but it's cinema. Oh, I agree. I, so it was really cool seeing Mariah come in with her own gear and her own theme song, you know, now that she's out from under Tony's shadow. The mat itself, yeah, it was short, but it kind of gave us a good look at what this current iteration of Mariah is like. And most importantly, it served as the intro for Tony Storm coming back, while Mariah is like, Oh, you thought she was going to come because I asked them to play the song and then no, Tony's there, Tony's pissed. Her screaming, I'm prepared to die or you was, it was so good. I, this, this story is probably the best that's going on right now. And I saw some, it's a little bit off topic. I guess I saw somebody comparing like the women's matches at previous blood inguts, the total time of in the ring. And it's like doubled this year. And they were like, Oh, it's because Mercedes signed it's because all this, all that. I really think a lot of it has to do with the strength of this storyline. I got to agree with you on that. I don't think Mercedes had anything to do with it yet because she really hasn't been in any matches, except for two or three. Yeah. Well, Brad, what did you think about Mariah May? Match was, it was a classic squash match. Yeah, I think it showcased how explosive and dynamic and hard hitting she is. The drop kicks look good. I agree. Tony Storm's scream was guttural. It was visceral. It's palpable. It was, this is a great feud. I mean, it has legs. It has a good foundation. It's been told over this, you know, months now and I'm excited to see where it goes next week. And that's the ultimate compliment. You can pay a segment in a wrestling show. But look forward to happens next week. Yeah, I agree with you. I mean, Mariah May, the video that MK had referenced was her pre debut teaser. Mariah May debuted in November, I believe. Maybe it was earlier than that. But anyway, she did the debut a couple of months before the end of last year. And before she actually held up on TV, they did a little teaser for Mariah May and the graphic that they put on the teaser is the same exact graphic that is in the match card for tonight. So it all came full circle from Mariah May. She started out as the glamour. When they announced her, she came into the show as Tony Storm's super fan. And now she's the glamour again. And that is just good storytelling for me. We will be back next week. Maybe we will have some more information about the TV deal to talk about on Tuesday night on ignition. And we'll be covering all the breaking news and hot topics in a w so be sure to join us then. 48 w fed up podcast team. This is Kelson. Alex. Good night, everybody. Thank you. Bye bye. Good night. Good night, Eddie Kingston.
