King supers, fresh for everyone, fuel restrictions apply. Hello, friends. We're back again. It's Fightful.com and it's time for your DNA impact post show. It's July 25th, 2024. I am Atrull Pearl. Slamiversary is in the books, but two weeks in Montreal, and we're going to have a lot of fun. Cressa Star is here. As always, she lives here. If she didn't, she would sleep, but she doesn't. How are you doing, Cressa? I am an zombie. All I do is watch wrestling. I have no life. What's up? I'm feeling all right. I'm feeling jazzy today. Samiversary happened tonight was a show. And honestly, I'm a Joe Hendry stand. So anytime Joe Hendry is on my screen, I'm very happy. And I don't have to watch NXT to see him. So I was going to ask you because they've been really pushing Joe Hendry on NXT. And you and I talked about this. You're not consistently watching NXT, and that's not a knock at you. Watch what you want. Watch what you have time for. Has this pushed you to watch NXT or are you just finding the Joe Hendry stuff on socials and going from there? I'm finding the Joe Hendry stuff and watching from there. And I want to watch NXT. Don't get me wrong. I just watch wrestling every other day of the week. I need a break. I love wrestling, but it's bad for me. Mental love. I can't do it every day of the week. And that's wait. So if you do Monday, three, Tuesday, two, Wednesday, two. So I'm already at five hours, Thursday, two, Friday, three, ten hours a week, Saturday, another two, 12. I don't, I don't clock in for that. I don't, I, I want to watch because don't get me wrong. Lash Legend, Jacarra, Jackson look very interesting, what they have going on with Gunno Quarter, Ketch Crew, from what I've seen looks very interesting, but I don't have time. So I just watched the Joe Hendry clips. No disrespect. I think NXT is doing amazing business. And if Joe Hendry has some going there, am I watching it? Well, he'll be on the show this Tuesday. He's going to be doing his world famous concert, which I love that they're making that one of his bits. But yeah, if you want to check that out, they were promoting it all throughout tonight's episode of Impact. So if you want to check out a little bit more Joe Hendry content, because who doesn't, you can go check out NXT. And I'm sure the post show that we'll be talking about that speaking of post shows, we had our slam-aversary post show last, was it Saturday night, this past Saturday, my self-crested star. And Stephen Jensen joined us as he always does when we do a TNA paper view, not the PLEs or specials. When there's a paper view, we have Stephen Jensen join us as well. We ran down the whole show. We had a really, actually a really strong post show, not that we don't normally, but we got it done in a tight hour 20 for three people, pretty good. And we started that post show at like midnight Eastern. So that's because that's because I was in an Uber. I was at the venue. I had to get my ass back to my hotel. And thankfully my internet was solid for this one. So go check that out. It's on this channel here at youtube.com/fightful. Or if you're in the audio realm, go ahead and find it there. And leave us a five-star review while you're at it. If you haven't already, what's wrong with you? We're great. At least that's what my mom says. My mom doesn't watch her content. My mom doesn't say I'm great because she thinks I'm a health spawn. Next question. DNA, okay. It's so close. You almost had it. You almost had it. It was close. Oh god. I ain't why you're here if you haven't already leaving thumbs up on the video. And of course, subscribers here at youtube.com.com/fightful. I can speak at this hour and donate a super chat. Any amount, get your question or statement read on the air or go over to humperchats.com and you can leave something there. Cresta will tell you about it. If you go to humperchats.com, that's H-U-M-P-E-R-C-H-A-T-S for those who are dyslexic.com, you're going to go and put your little comment in it like Joe Pearl. I didn't know you couldn't speak or crest a star. You have hands. I wasn't aware. You put your dollar amount in. We get to keep a little bit more of the money. Keeps the lights on and Sean Ross house here that I'm illegally staying in. And everyone's happy. Humperchats.com. What are you waiting for? An invitation. Here's your invitation. Humperchats.com. Put $20 in there or Joe Pearl will lick your left toe in your sleep. You don't have to be sleeping. Let me tell you. That's sports is a David. Creaking sports entertainment. TNA Impact opens tonight with Nick Nemeth. He shows up with his new TNA championship. He says it's very surreal to still be the chance to be the new champion. Calls himself a fighting champion. He's going to defend it all the time because Moose never did that. Says the title is very special. And then he makes a line about defending it anytime anywhere in any company and people went ooh. And then I immediately said to myself, well, yeah, no, the TNA champion does go to indies and defend the TNA title. So it's not that much of a thing. But anyway, did you have that kind of reaction when Nemeth said I'll defend it anywhere? Or were you kind of like, no, I've seen it defended everywhere. I know that we're in an exciting time for wrestling. So my first thought wasn't indies. I was like, oh, then I'll be defending our next team. That's what I do. That's a main master title. I'm not gonna play with you. I'm not playing with you. But that being said, you bring up a very valid point. They'll go to any show anywhere. I'm like, you want to fight for me? Because I'll beat you up. And then I'll come back like I have 167 title defenses. Not mad at it. It is nice to see the TNA main title on WWE or even the prospect of it. And don't get me wrong. We have seen it. Mickey James came out in the Royal Rumble as a knockouts women's champion that one year. And if I'm not mistaken, Jordan Grace did it last year as a night. Yeah. So it's not uncommon. And it's not unseen. And I think if there's anyone who would do a crossover like that, it would be Nick Nemeth formerly Dolph Ziggler. They still got Wesley hanging around. I think it's a great idea. It's a great prospect. I personally would like for them to mean it, mean it, but they don't have a deal with AEW. Who knows? Either way, campaign Singh comes out and introduces, most of all, Lee, the former X Division champion. The crowd is chanting in French. They're Frenchly effectively saying we don't give an F. They did that throughout the night. My favorite chant, by the way, the entire weekend, I have to say, Pajanti, which is in French. That's not nice. That is the most Canadian thing a wrestling crowd could be chanting at you. Pajanti. Pajanti. Pajanti. I need you to know that this is a core memory now, progressive. Pajanti. Pajanti. That's not nice. That's not nice. And I'm hearing them in the arena chanting that on Saturday and on Sunday. And I'm just like, I think I turned to my friend who love wrestling. Shout out to them. And I turned, I was like, are they, do you think Pajanti? And they looked at me and they're just like, they are. I said, this is the most amazing wrestling chant I've ever heard, because it's just so polite. Meanwhile, on the flip side, they're saying, effectively, we don't give an F. So there was, there was some good stuff. So most of all, he starts talking about how this slammerversary was the greatest screw job in wrestling history, good heat. And then he says, you know, he gets really hot. He just gets really bothered under the collar to the point where Nick Nemeth has to calm him down. And then he, you know, does the check your pulse and undoes his tie. It's a very cute little moment. And then Nemeth kind of says, Hey, you're fine. Everything's cool. Don't worry about it. You were the exhibition championship. And then you lost this people. And then Ali loses it again. And said, I got screwed. He screwed me real hard. That was a cute little moment for the crowd. And then Ali says, maybe I want to make the world title great again. That's my new campaign. And Nemeth says, all right, fine. We'll do it. And Ali says, okay, we'll do it next week. And then he tries to get the upper hand. But Nemeth ends up taking over and emptying the ring of all these people. This is a good opening segment. I don't hate what happened here. What did you think, Krista? I thought this segment was really good. It was exactly what it needed to be. Ali, the way he was delivering that promo, in my opinion, was giving me shades of it should have been me. And I thought it was very ironic. And I kind of lived for it. Because I do feel like there is that kind of chemistry, you know, we're fed dudes, you get it, you know, that we're here. And he's like, I got screwed. He was one step away from it should have been me. I'm like, if he did that, they go to laugh. I would, I would like to see at least one person throughout this Nick Nemeth title reign come out and say, it should have been me. Like Josh, Alexander can do it. And I wouldn't hate it given his new direction. I think it's so funny. Also, not, not Ali saying you screwed me. You screwed me hard. And Nick Nemeth is without missing a beat. Say, Oh, keep that to yourself, my guy. Oh, yo, yo. Also, also, he's like, we could fight tonight. And Ali's like, no, this was a good segment. Ali's a piece of crap. And that match is going to slap that match is going to slap. And when campaign scene came out, I thought they were immediately going to say, I want to get into the world title scene. I like to build up if I got screwed and in them all making fun of each other that Ali Nick Nemeth match next week. Yes, God. Mustafa Ali next week. I can't wait, can't wait. I hate the character because you're a jerk. Love the rest. I'm not going to spoil it because we don't do that. If you really do want spoilers for what happened on the tapings, I do have them up over on bifil.com. But I will say the match, very good. It does deliver. It's a very fun match, which like it shouldn't be a shock to anyone. But like, it's a very good match. It's a very strong match. It will stand up and we will talk about it next week when we get there. We go backstage, Nick Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth are talking and then in walks Frankie Kazarian and he reminds Nick Nemeth, hey, we were going after each other. And then Nemeth says, well, I pinned you at slammer-versary. So back to the line, Bob. And then Santino walks in and says, hey, Ali, it's taking on Nick Nemeth next week. So why don't you take on another one? Here's the other brother. It's going to be Nick Nemeth. There's Ryan Nemeth taking on Frankie Kazarian. There you go. That's next week. They set it up early. You got both Nemeth brothers in action. You got Kazarian and Ryan and then Nick versus Ali. Pretty innocuous stuff here, right? Yep. I agree with everything you said because it was nothing to it. There we go. Steve Macklin comes out. He has a match against Cody Deener. But before the match, he says, I was trying to turn over a new leaf. I got caught. And I lost his slammer-versary. And the fans sang him out, nah, nah, nah, nah. Goodbye. And then he flipped them off at this show. Was not planned. I can tell you that much, but it was definitely well warranted and well welcomed. And so Macklin says, first of all, he does the USA Heat, which honestly, he's the only one that I can get away with this because he says, as a veteran. And it's true. That's the only, like, everyone else, like the system doing the Dream Team thing was cute, but also like, you know, to do Red White and Blue. Like, Macklin wasn't wearing Red White and Blue. The most American thing he could say was, I'm a veteran. And then he does the nah, nah, nah, nah, kiss my ass. So simple. So easy. Just do it. He's so mad. He's just so mad. And I can tell you now, there will be an interview that drops Eve Macklin and I, where I do mention to Macklin how you and I, Kressa, have talked about Macklin's kind of positioning since hard to kill and how we kind of said like, what's he, what are we doing? Like, is he, you know, babyface? Is he like, where is he? I think after tonight's match, we may have established that Steve Macklin is still very much a bad guy. And we get that because Cody Deener comes out, says a bunch of Canadian-isms, and then they have a match. It's pretty straightforward stuff. Macklin gets the one with the KIA and he's definitely a heel again. They did not show this on the broadcast, at least. I don't think they did. But at one point, Macklin definitely does twerk on the crowd. They didn't show that, did they? Not at all, young man. Not at all. Not at all. Not at all. Not at all. I'll give you a few of those moments as I saw them live that maybe they didn't make air because I got one for most of the matches that you'll, we'll talk about tonight. Thoughts on Macklin and the Deener match and everything after. The image in my head of Macklin's working, it's just giving me Dax the ax on Instagram's working. And I just see two grandpas in the kitchen doing a lot of backends. It was very quick. It was very quick. It was just there. It was just a quick one. And I was like, "What are we doing? Why are you talking?" I live. I live. That's funny. Honestly, I like him more as a heel now after he's like, "Yeah, try to do the right thing." And then you guys laugh at my demise. That's crazy. Oh, sorry. So, okay. Heck you guys. Heck you guys. It was funny. I laughed. Cody Deater. Oh, he got beat up this match. He tried. He tried. He, there was some offense in there. There was a, I wrote something down. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. I'm looking for it. Deener. No, that's Deener in the crosshairs. No, no. Deener just got beat up. That's all I have. Deener just got beat up. Sorry. He did. He got beat up. Pretty straightforward. And he got to blame the crowd. He got to blame the crowd for that one. He got to blame the crowd because he said, "Should I go to the back or should I fight Steve Maclin?" You know, maybe think for yourself. AJ Francis, but I'm moving past the death machine team. I don't know what that was. It just, it just set up the match. AJ Francis with Rich Swan and Joshua Bishop. They took on Sammy Callahan. Francis gets the win after Bishop. Well, you've got Rich Swan getting the referee distracted. Bishop comes in. Close lines Callahan. Francis gets the choke slam for the win. You want that other thing that you didn't see in the match. This was, Francis first attempt at doing that Tennessee whiskey. You know, when he runs to the corner, does the knee and flips over the ropes? Yeah. The first time he did that, he almost took himself out on the stairs because the stairs on the ring are on the opposite end of the harder camera. So you don't see the wrestlers, you don't see the stairs from the hard camera because it's pointing towards you and then it's the stairs are behind the ring. So he went to do it the first time and he almost knocked out the stairs in his own leg. That was dangerous. If what happened to him at Slamiversary, kind of freaked people out where he hit the table and he almost took out a table in his leg, this one was a little bit worse because downstairs, they all move so easily, but he was fine. Everything was good. Got the second attempt to hit the Tennessee whiskey. Callahan biting. Francis was very on brand, but in the end, AJ Francis gets the win and it looks like we'll see Sammy Callahan versus Joshua Bishop, possibly at the tapings in Tampa because they didn't happen at this taping. Well, they did show his first, they did show his first missed with a Tennessee whiskey. They did show that, but I didn't catch it all the way. It was like, okay, maybe he might have missed, you know, accident tap. You didn't see, you didn't see where he landed. You just saw that he went over and he had missed the move. But what you don't see is that he almost takes out the stairs at the same time. He almost take himself out. Jesus Christ, beans and rice. So let me tell you that I think that first class is moving into the position that the system was, because the system is much of loses now. So it doesn't matter. I say that in the sense of that first class is getting under my skin. And that's the point of first class, right? I just want to err on the side of caution because I think what AJ Francis is doing is great. But at some point, I don't know if it's going to be either jokes or you're going to be a serious wrestler, because I don't see either one now. Now I'm seeing like you're kind of playing it down the middle and maybe Joshua Bishop is going to be your serious wrestler. And you're going to be like the guy who leads the charge from the back. I could see that. And that's fine. But tonight, I feel like all the work he's done to make himself quote unquote legit or whatever it is, whatever legitness means in the professional wrestling world, you had more people interrupted this match than an Ash by elegance match. And that's it. Yeah, come on. I think I think that if we're going to go forward and make him like serious moving off from this PCO thing, kind of like Joe Henry, I kind of want something like a clear cut way of where you're going. Because I think he's more talented than all the interferences. Does that make sense? Yeah, it makes sense. But also I see AJ as more of a, what's the word I'm thinking of? He's a he's a he's a type of guy you come to see he's an attraction, right? So you don't necessarily need him to be main events going for the title right away. Although if you ask him, he would love to be going for the Teenage World Championship on top blah blah blah. But also I don't think he minds being in a position where he's in because then he gets to raise his stock every time. The stuff with PCO, that was a major match for him in Montreal. Like that he was put into a position because Montreal loves PCO and they love everything that he was doing. So for him to be in that match and to deliver, I think that just shows that there's a lot of trust in AJ Francis and he can essentially do whatever he wants without it needing to be a big main event level talent. I guess like, I guess the real issue for me is like he kind of reminds me of when I first got into wrestling and watching people like FTR. I see the talent. I see it. So why are you wasting your time with shenanigans? I think you're much more talented than the shenanigans. And I do see in the story line concept why it makes sense. But all rich one is a is a dude like he's he's a tough guy. He's a dude like and from what I've seen with Mr. Bishop, he's a dude too. And I've seen the shades, especially in TNA. I don't think WWE gave him a fair shot. But with AJ Francis, I definitely see in TNA, you could be a dude too. So why not just be a bunch of dudes, dude? Because with AJ, I think the idea here is that he's getting the heat on him by being such a chicken chip despite the fact that he doesn't mean to me. He doesn't need to be. But every time he does it, everyone's like, you don't need to do that. But he's like, what are you going to do? Beat me? And then when he gets to one, but that's the thing. What is what happens when he gets a big one on one match? He gets beaten because that's what he's supposed to be. He's supposed to be the heat. And then he has his heaters with him. That's Bishop. That's that's Rich Swan. There will come a time when that kind of ends and maybe Josh Bishop becomes a focus or Rich Swan, you know, goes back to doing what he used to do. But right now, like it works. And for all we know, they're going to expand what AJ is doing. They're going to expand first class. There will be more members of first class. I wouldn't hate that either, depending on who would join the group. Good hands. I don't hate it. But also, I don't know who it could be, but I feel like it's going to be it would just be someone that doesn't necessarily fit, but will eventually fit. I don't know. What happens to, um, when you said that, I just Pete, the guy used to hang out with Kenny King. Um, oh my God. Oh my goodness. Uh, right before Kenny King left, he was with the guy who was shot when he was a digital media champion. He was like, DMC, what was his name? Yeah. Why am I forgetting? Oh my goodness. I swear to God, if I go back far enough and just gonna remind us, it's bugging me too. Holy crap. We'll let chat when I go back to the beginning of my notebook. Sheldon Jean, Sheldon Jean, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Like, like he could be somebody. I should know that because Sheldon's from my hometown and I wanted to do an interview with him not too long ago. He just, he hasn't been around much because TNA hasn't really spent much time in Canada other than Montreal. So yeah, long story short, Sheldon Jean is fantastic. I don't know what they're doing with him with anything right now, but he was 100%. He is that dude. I would love to see him, but who knows? Kevin Knight would be cute too. Yeah, I've been thinking about Kevin Knight. I also, you know, I'm never, I don't ever want to be the dude who's just like, Oh, you should add this guy to this group for obvious reasons. I wasn't even thinking out thinking aesthetic. That's funny. That's funny. You're right. You're right. That's fair. That's fair. That's fair. That's fair. Uh, uh, say we can't have. I don't think it's, I don't think it's racist to put it out there if the aesthetic fits and like Kevin Knight, Sheldon Jean, those names fit, but also for all we know, they want to pick someone who doesn't fit and would fit in a different way. So like Sammy, yeah, you put it in there, but like Sammy is the rogue member, but Sammy also doesn't do groups very well unless it's his own. So we'll see where I'm from. Either way, I think if they expand first class, it would be someone that, that adds to that heat, that age of friends. Yeah. And if, if not someone that asks that heat, someone who's unexpected, kind of like Rich Swan, because Rich Swan, I've only ever really seen him. Like we'll talk about later with Josh Alexander, kind of like in that chid role, what a gnarly thing to see Josh, I was able to get booted Canada. Okay. Okay. That's, that's the look I'm saying. We'll get to that very shortly. Rosemary says she's not, she's all alone. She's nothing, but she's got a knife and she has new hair. I mean, come on now. You've counted days for the days, bitch. That's all you picture. She's got a match next week. It's a good match. You'll see it then. Hammerstone and ash by elegance defeat Eric Young and the knockouts champion Jordan Grace. This was all building to the Hammerstone Grace face to face. That's all it was to me. That was all I was waiting for. And then of course Jordan Grace picks up Alexander Hammerstone, but Hammerstone throws her to the outside. Ash hits the mediocre and then Grace, Grace, sorry, not Grace. Ash stops Eric Young from doing the top rope elbow on Hammerstone. Hammerstone gets torture rack and the submission win over Eric Young and Jordan Grace by extension. And then Hammerstone, they do the celebration at the end of the match and then they do the dip. Here's the other thing that you didn't see on the camera. Hammerstone also carried ash up the stage. Like Dan is willing to stress style. I don't think it was just them having fun, but again, certain things that just didn't make air that I figure y'all would like to hear about. Hey guys, I'm here to tell you about incogney.com/fightful wrestling. There are some strange people out there, some shady people out there. And a lot of times you struggle with your own data privacy. I've had those struggles myself in the past and it is unfortunately way too easy to look someone up and get their personal info. Sometimes you sign up for a loyalty card or a membership online. The next thing you know, you've got a bunch of emails, a bunch of calls, because somebody has sold your data. For example, incogney found over 200 brokers with my information. Those brokers are required to remove your name if you ask them and you might say, man, I don't have the time to do that. incogney.com/fightful does and they'll make sure it happens. Not only that, I had people signing me up for physical and digital spam emails incogney.com/fightful wrestling fixed all of that. And that's just one of the many benefits of incogney.com/fightful wrestling criminals do not care about the rules associated with those websites. So take it into your own hands incogney.com/fightful wrestling. You just create an account, grant them the right to do the work for you, then kick back and watch them work. They were having a ball because that's the most people that they've had for a TNA taping years. And for them to have over a thousand in the building, you know what? Some people were trying to be dicks about how many people showed up for the tapings versus the pay-per-view. Pay-per-view had over 4,000. The TV tapings had over 1,000. Listen, it's no, this is no secret. This is a well-known, established thing that TNA, they're aware that their retention rate from a live event to a TV taping the next night is probably about 25 to 30%. They know how many people are coming for the live show versus the tape show. That's just the way it is. Do they want that number to be higher? Yeah, absolutely. But think coming after 4,000 plus attended events and getting 1,000 in attendance after that plus 1,000 plus. I'd be pretty happy if I was TNA. They even talked about it on the broadcast. That was the highest, you know, highest viewed TNA plus event because they don't offer the pay-per-view many other places. But the point is they had good buy rates for it and they had great attendance. I'd be pretty happy with that. I don't understand why. Okay, let me not say I don't understand. I can see the teahis and yeah, let's get our jokes off to quote Reg on TNA. But after watching the product, TNA is so good. And I feel like the TNA faithful, they literally call people TNA faithful because here I am anytime someone's talking to me about wrestling, like, hey, do you remember TNA? Like, yeah, I wish they would die. Like, hey, what if I told you to put great vases right now you should give it a second chance? I think once you're a fan of TNA, you're a fan and for them to have that many people, forget those other people, forget those other companies, focus on TNA for a second, a TNA that was almost dead according to people not too long ago. You know what I mean? TNA that kept people employed in a pandemic. I'm so happy for TNA and I want them to have many more. I want them to have more eyes on the product. And I think it's great. Don't be a hater. You should be celebrating, bro. Like TNA doing numbers, shut up. Like, let them be great. I don't know. I love TNA and I think the TNA fans are out of all the wrestling fans that I've encountered. TNA fans are the most sane on the unhinged scale that the most say because like, please just, I don't want to argue with you because I just want you to watch. And I want TNA to succeed. That's why I do a post show. I'd like a lot of the people that are there that I get to interact with on weekends like Slam Aversary. I want their talent to be readily available to talk with us on camera and do the things that get them out there. I want those opportunities for them. And I want people to see those people get those opportunities because, yeah, listen, this used to be a number two promotion and they've faltered they've had issues in the past. But this has been a hell of a year for them. Yeah, they deserve years, bro. Like they deserve everything. They deserve a lot more than they've been given. And I think that a lot of people reacted a certain way when it came to say the departure of Scott to Moore. I understood that. We talked about it on this show that it was the timing and just the way it looked. I understood it at the time. The more I read into it, the more conversations I have, it really does feel like whatever anthem's been doing, it's been keeping moving forward and finding those successes beyond the departure of Scott. And that's not a knock at Scott. That's not talking, you know, talking to his about anybody backstage. That's just the way that things have played out. DNA has seemed to be stronger based on this. And of course, the NXT partnership like, it's mutually beneficial. And I'll bring up a super check from Dex Baker says, look, I said tonight's show would be my decision point on continuing to pay for impact after four years. I'm still 5050. So I don't know. I'm still not big on it being developmental for WWE developmental. That is a fair point. I've talked about this with Jeremy Lambert over on In The Weeds. You have to, you have to think of it like this. It is mutually beneficial for TNA talent and WWE are getting free opportunities to scout established television ready talent. And they get to say to TNA, these are the guys that we want to feature. And also NXT gets to send some of their people that they've already said we're going to put the machine behind them, but they need more reps. Is he game? Tatum Paxtley, no quarter catch crew, all three of them, including Dempsey as well. He's had a couple more appearances, but regardless, there is obviously a partnership there. And I get it. Some people listening to you and he's getting screwed out of this. I can tell you right now, they're not. There will always be talent and there will always be stars and they will always be in the making. Jordan Grace, Joe Henry, yes, they're doing great things for them right now. But if they move on to WWE, TNA gets to say, guess what? We helped do that. We helped facilitate that. I wouldn't be surprised if there's more incentive beyond just being able to say that they did that. And we'll see where it goes. I don't think of them as a developmental. I do see it as a partnership. I do see it as WWE is much bigger than TNA. Can't really deny that. But for me, the things that I'm seeing, it makes sense. It nothing's out of completely nothing screwy about it to me. What are your thoughts? I agree to an extent because I wasn't here for the original, what I want to say, the WWE. Hey, what you got going on over there with Samoa Joe left, when AJ Styles left, when everybody in that an original initial crew that made TNA, TNA left. So I get people's trepidation. That being said, it is very beneficial for them to have their deal with WWE largely because if I'm someone who doesn't know, let's just say I'm an old rich person with a lot of money. And I want to buy a wrestling company and I want to put them on TV. I'm not WWE or AEW or even somebody else, but I just a rich old person. I see a Joe Hendry or Jordan Grace. Oh, they don't go here. There's a TNA. You never know who is watching. Plus, TNA has proven that if their top stars leave, a top, let's say Jordan Grace leaves, there are enough knockouts back there that could fill her stead. There are enough men back there. Like, Joe Hendry, I love him. I think he's fantastic. I enjoy the crap out of Joe Hendry. But if Joe Hendry leaves, a baby face of all around on will appear in that roster. They have a good debt and it's not to say that they can lose people because I think Grace and just these two in particular, Grace and Hendry are great for TNA and Grace being a cornerstone of TNA is fantastic. But TNA's roster is deep. TNA roster is very deep to the point where we complain about there's not enough space for everyone at the top of the card. So if these people move on to greener pastures or not, whatever, more power to them. Get your money, honey. Don't let the money get you. But it's not like it'll hurt TNA. And in fact, it'll give other people an opportunity to show who they are. Like, I firmly believe if Grace were to leave, Giselle Shaw would be okay, perfect, more than adequate beyond fit for that. If Joe Hendry left, there's, I could see them turning Deena into something, bro. I could see them turn and Deena into a baby face. He's got more. He's got more years ahead of him than behind him. And plus he's enjoying a very happy producer life, podcaster life, brand ambassador. He's, he's, he's fine. By the way, I like this is no, no shaded Deena because he is honestly one of the good ones in this business. He's one of the people that whenever I've spoken to him on camera, it's been an education. The dude has had so much happened to him for better or worse in wrestling. I highly recommend just seeking out his background. There are things about him that you'll never even have guessed. Like the dude, the dude has appeared on WWE programming. The dude has had, you know, interactions with, with Vince McMahon, with, with Pritcher with, with people in WWE thought at one point, he might have a contract. Like he's been, Deena has been around the block. The point is, he won't be the guy going over, but he will be the guy helping facilitate the moves. I will also say too, and this is the last thing I'll say about it. I think it's easy as a fan to get wrapped up. And I want to see this person here. I want to see this person there. These are also human beings with dreams. And I think the most recent example would be Stephanie Vacarra. There's a lot of people whose dream is to point to that WrestleMania sign. So you can't be mad if these people are doing something that makes them happy and complete as a human being. The Fed has been around since I was a kid. I'm 9,000 years old, bro. So you can't be mad at it. So I'm never mad at someone's like, hey, I want to stay here in TNA because it's my home or I want to go here. I want to, wrestlers are going to wrestle. But isn't it great that we can all make money? And that's what I'm thinking. TNA, I want them to get more eyes on it so people can go and make Fed money in TNA. You can make AEW money in TNA and you can make money anywhere you go. That's my dream. That's my soapbox. I'm getting it all. Get them paid. So I wouldn't necessarily look at it as a developmental. I do see the opportunity that TNA might be able to offer through this partnership with WWE and vice versa there. Again, this isn't a one-to-one comparison in terms of money, in terms of value. There are two very different companies. I don't want to call it like the evolved WWE relationship from five, six years ago. But it's closer to that than anything else. And it's not a bad thing because TNA wrestlers are always looking for that next opportunity, that next step. And so are WWE superstars. And their talent are trying to figure out what comes next for them when they're not necessarily on NXT TV and they're still training. Yeah. And I also think that TNA is a very, for me, what I get from TNA, I don't get anywhere else. And I like that. And that's quite all right with me. And TNA is where you can really have creator freedom. Honestly, just Naomi alone, seeing Naomi wrestle in her finisher being a submission was fantastic to me because I would never would have seen that anywhere else. Period. I would never see a death match the way I see the women do it in TNA anywhere else. Sorry. I mean, well, not anywhere else. And then none of the major NA promotions. But that's a thing. Maybe you won't see that and you won't see that on access or on television. You'll see it maybe a GCW, but GCW doesn't have a national syndicated show or anything like that. That's just that's the way it is. So let's move on from there. I do hope that people continue to give TNA a chance and know that it's great to enjoy a company. And it's also great to hope that the wrestlers find success, whether that's TNA, AEW, NLW, AEW, whatever they go, they're finding their best opportunities and making the most of it. They're maximizing their minutes. Period. Yes. Anyway, backstage with the system Dream Team defeated. Josh Alexander, that's all I have to add about that. Bro, the look on everybody's face while this was like, we got this and they're like, she's the only one that won. You're like the after school special. When somebody stole something and somebody got a resident, they all just bladed on at what person's like, we're so friends, right? Yeah. Yep. It was a very, it was, it was for a 45 second to a minute promo. Like it was fine because it did, it did accomplish that. Like it was, it was silly, but it was also like, they're dejected. And it was funny that the only person who actually won at Slammerversary is the one being like, yeah, we freaking rule. And everyone's just like, Oh, we need the French chance of you deserve it. Of course, we didn't see that in the crowd because they, all the pre-tape stuff we don't see. The only pre-tape we actually saw was, was something that airs next week that we'll talk about when it happens. Josh Alexander comes out, he's got a new theme by Load and Learn of the Ban rarity. He's also part of Northern Crown Wrestling in Toronto is Load and Learn. So that, Josh also put that over. I will say this, we talk about this frequently, CNA not going 100%. The theme sounds 100% better in an arena setting than it did mixed in with this particular show. Go check it out, especially if you see it live. It sounds much harder there. Josh honestly says nothing of value other than getting over with me saying Toronto is the best city, it's a superior city, which is true. I applauded. I stood up and I said, yeah, that's right. And then he drops the mic and he walks out. So that's Josh Alexander got a new theme. That's really the most important newsworthy part of this whole thing. Bro, honestly, I said this early, and I'll say it again, Josh Alexander getting booed in Canada is the funniest and wildest thing I've ever seen. This man, they love him. Josh Alexander could have slapped Santino like, literally before he kicked Joe Henry in the nuts. And people like, you know what I said, it's Josh Alexander said, the safety that will come in. Now, you had the power of one Joseph Henry that you really got people that hate you in Canada. That's crazy. That's crazy. Said it on the Saturday night post show. Well, the Sunday night post show, because we did it after midnight. That was such a well done main event at Slamiversary for the reasons of the story being laid out in a way that you weren't, you didn't have enough time to get upset about Henry not winning the title. They gave you something in that Josh turn that you were just like, Oh, shit, that's happening. And then they moved forward. They did it again. I put it over. I think they did a masterful job in keeping the pacing of the story while making you believe that Joe Henry still had a chance. I liked it. Yeah, no, I totally, I loved it. I love that. And I like Josh, I like, well, I don't like this promo because he literally said, he said, you want an answer. Thanks, pal. And they saying, no, no, no, hey, I get to them too. That's just, that's just what you do in Canada, I guess. It's just what it is. Well, she doesn't send a super chat about our earlier conversation saying maybe not I'm all w it took Jacob Patu forever to get out of that deal. Fatu, Fatu getting out of the deal was less that it was more getting him, getting him into WWE for all the plans they had. That's a whole other can of worms. GM Miller's backstage with speedball, Mike Bailey congratulating him on his big victory. It's the anniversary. He says he's got huge plans for the exhibition and he says it represents passion, hard work, the love of the art of pro wrestling calls out the knockouts division and the ex division as staples of TNA in walk the rascals. They put over speedball and then they challenge them to a six man tag next week because the first episodes TNA featured, guess what, six man, ex division matches says, you know, you and Trent seven and then Trent eight and Trent nine. So basically they got to find someone else. This was fine. This was effective and the rascals are going to take on speedball mountain plus one next week. The rascals are a bunch of clowns. You bet. The rascals versus new day when and that's all I got to say. In a world where I wish they could do it. I hope to, I hope one day Biggie makes a return triumphantly to wrestling. And that is a six man that I know all six of those guys would love to do. That would be the funniest set of wrestling grabs I ever did see this side of the planet because the promos would be ridiculous. Our truth would be wandering in like, yo, you're not even in this match, bro. Santino and our truth are going to be confused together. That would be wrestling. I'd be sports entertain sports laughing. I, I need that in my veins. Rascals did have the main event on NXT this past week. Go check it out. That was a very, very fun match. Listen, man, when the three of them are together, they know how to work, when they're singles, they know how to work, when they're a duo, when they're a trio, they're all very good. Those rascals. Okay, so mad I missed them. I wasn't watching when they were all together. Darn. Darn. Yes. Plenty of, plenty of room in that archive on TNA Plus that you've subscribed to. Listen, I said I don't want to watch rest of every day. Time to start. Man, that's me. You want to pee in this wrestling business crescent? You'll never make it in this business use of Brody. Please don't do it. Don't burn yourself out. It's not a fun feeling. What a fearless, not one. I mean, events tonight is ABC and Matt Hardy taking on Brian Myers Edward Edwards and JDC of the system, basically rehashing the ABC system and JDC versus Matt Hardy matches from slam a verse. We're easy for me to say, not just fine. They did the USA heat again. Moose comes out mid match. Joe Hendry shows up randomly to even out the odds. It's not randomly. I mean, Moose and Joe Hendry are doing a thing. It's fine. Matt Hardy has a great DDT neckbreaker combo. That's still rules. They did the delete turnbuckle spots where they go one and then two and then three. And then Bay does the springboard Jeff Hardy spot because Jeff Hardy wasn't in Montreal for this show. Let's distracts the ref. Moose accidentally spears the JDC. Hendry, Larry, it's Moose and then celebrates. Hardy gets the twist of bait tags and Chris Bay. Bay hits the splash and gets the win. Little unexpected, but I do like them at Hardy decided to let one of the younger guys get the victory for his team. ABC Matt Hardy win. Everyone's happy. What do you think? If I were any of these six competitors, I would be pissed that in the middle of my match. Moose came out as one thing. He ain't come out to know music. Joe Hendry came out to his whole theme and even turn to the camera. The whole match stopped. I'd be mad from a K fav standpoint. I'm like, this guy. Hey, hey, hey, you're on my team. You're not going to interrupt my match, grandstand and hotdogging. We got to talk about this real quick because I think this is something I wanted to bring it up next week or last week, but we didn't have time. I know that you didn't listen to Joe Hendry's interview on talk is Jericho. I don't expect it. I did because I'm crazy. Joe Hendry confirmed everything you said on our show about him being a heel when he came into TNA, that his whole aesthetic was being the guy who was a total dickhead with a theme that gets you just forgetting all about it. He confirmed that. Go back and listen to it. I listen to it. You got to listen to it. And I just listened to it. I was like, Oh my God, he's confirmed me. Everything crest has said because you were right. And we talked about that. And it made the most sense. He came out. You make on Twitter crescent was right. He also, by the way, we we chat on those promos every week because not not because of the quality of the writing of the quality of the production. This was during the pandemic. So he was still abroad in Scotland. And he was hiring people and basically filming it himself. But whoever did the color correction really messed it up. Anyway, the point was these segments were exactly the thing that you said. They're exactly he was a bad guy who got over on everyone by having a catchy theme song. And I think that's hilarious that you called it. Bro, come on. God. I mean, honestly, so even if even if he didn't get over, you have an out to be a piece of crap heel, you can't be mad at him because the writer was on the wall. You were too busy clapping and dancing. You too. You're a bad guy, but it works. And now you're a good guy because there's people like Moose running around. Like, like if there's a scale, Joe Henry at worst is a nuisance. He's not a moose who's literally going to burn down your house. And at the far end of that spectrum is bully Ray, who's going to put your dying grandma to a table world like this. I feel so powerful in this moment. Joe Henry, thank you. I see division towards the tourists. I got you. I'll take my royalty check in the mail. Tell your friends. It's going to be good. Joe Henry does have a segment next week. He ruined a family's life during those vignettes. He took someone's inheritance and got some man's whole wife pregnant. He did everything. He was such a piece of garbage. And then to be reminded of his previous DNA run where he did anything to get saved. He's a bad guy. But now he's not he's bad guy, but he's not a bad guy. Anyway, that's that's DNA impact for July 25th. I don't know if you have anything to add. This is a pretty inoffensive show. I'm actually surprised. This is one thing I will add. I'm surprised that next week on the same show, they're going to have the wedding of PCO and Steph D'Lander. Yeah, no, no, not even doing that. It was worth they're doing the wedding and the world title match on the same show. I thought it was going to be world title one week and then the the wedding the next week because they take two weeks worth of shows of Montreal. And I thought that this six man was the I kind of put it together that this was the main event for tonight's show. But then I thought, Oh, we still have the wedding. No, it turns out the wedding is going to be next week. And so is the main event. What's the main event? No, I think the world title matches the main event. It was at the tapings. I'll tell you that much. They might open with the wedding. So the weddings an hour or 45 minutes? No, there are other matches. They've already been announced. I'll just say that how long you take this wedding because the world title matches what? 20 minutes 15? Oh, the main event for Nemeth and Ali. Yeah. Yeah. It's about 20 minutes. So like how long is this? I'm expecting shenanigans. Kate, don't tell me, don't tell me. I don't know if you've seen it and you've probably seen it. I saw it. I saw it live. I reported what happened. I'm not going to spoil it because we don't do that here. But I will say it's again, that's probably another 20, 25 minute segment. It's an opening segment. Let's just say when he used to watch Monday Night Raw and there's an opening segment, it's 20 minutes of an in-ring promo. It's similar to that. It's not a long wedding. It's not like a big pop in circumstances. It's an impact wedding. You've seen them before. If you go back and watch literally any of the other ones, it's like, it's the same kind of like- Yeah, who's getting shot? That's going to say production wise, it's the same presentation. In terms of content, no one's getting shot this time. I don't want to watch it. I don't get shot. That's sad, Tia, that you got me so traded like you're all right, so we'll get married. Who's dying? I was so, I was cackling when I got to slam a nursery and I saw those invitations printed out and I was like, oh vindicated. I'm so happy that we had stepped a lander on in the weeds the week before because we asked, I said wrestling weddings, your thoughts? Because I wasn't going to be like, it looks like you're a piece of you, we're going to get married next week. Because you and I did this on this show for weeks where we said, what's going to happen? Who's going to be the- Who said? I said, I say we because it's our show, we're together. But I sat there and I was just like, it's going to be this, it's going to be that and this is going to happen and regardless of what happens, it's going to happen. And I was like, okay, here we go. It's happening exactly the way I said it. That's great. You can go back and watch old episodes if you really want to find out because we spent like five, six weeks calling it, just telling you what's going to happen. Take my victory lap later. Regardless, the wedding itself was good. So go watch that, okay? I live for the bride of Frankenstein they had in the promo that she's, I'm here for it. But to many more, I hope the champagne is burnt, you know, in fashion. Anyway, let's get on out of here. Cress the star, what you got happening for you.
