An important reminder from Lane's family pharmacy. It's National Higher of Veteran Day. The best way to honor a veteran is to hire one. Many skills gained in the military world translate to the civilian world. North Carolina is the most military and veteran-friendly state in the nation, with almost 800,000 veterans. The other day, I thanked a veteran for his service. You know what he said? I'd do it all over again. Lane's family pharmacy, NC14 Eden. Welcome to July 25th on the National Day calendar. Today, we're pairing some classic flavors and enjoying a nostalgic ride. National Wine and Cheese Day celebrates the perfect pairing of this dynamic duo. Wine and cheese have been enjoyed together for centuries, with each enhancing the flavors of the other. But did you know that the practice of pairing wine and cheese dates back to ancient Roman tines? Who knew? Whether you prefer a bold red with aged cheddar or a crisp white with some creamy brie, take time today to savor the delightful combination of some wine and cheese. Have you seen our producer, Chris? No. Where'd he go? Well, I seen some wine and cheese waiting here for us, but now it's gone. I have a feeling that he's in a corner somewhere. I'm just saying. It's gone. I think he should run to the store. From sophisticated variants to childhood fun, it's also National Mary-Go-Round Day. A merry-go-round, or carousel, has been a beloved amusement park ride for generations. The oldest operating carousel in the United States is located in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, and dates back to 1867. With its whimsical animals and catchy music, the merry-go-round brings joy and nostalgia to writers of all ages. Today, take a spin, and relive the magic of this classic ride. Windsor, last time you went on a merry-go-round. It's probably been a couple years. Wow, really? I get busy easily going fast. Did you ever push other siblings or kids on a merry-go-round when you were a kid? Oh, yeah, for sure. That was actually my better memories than the fancy ones at amusement parks. Do you push kids off the merry-go-round? I knew you were going to go there. That's a better question. I'm not a bully. I'm LaToya Johnson. I'm Marlo Anderson. And I've been worth you like a star. It's been a hard day this night. I think you should feel like a love. But when I get home to you, I find the things that you do will make me feel alright. You know I work all day to catch your money to buy a thing. And it's worth it just the year you say. You're gonna give me everything. So I imagine I'm home because when I get too alone, you know I feel okay. When I'm home, everything seems to be right. When I'm home, leaving you holding me tight, tight, yeah. It's been a hard day this night. And I've been worth you like a star. It's been a hard day this night. I should feel like a love. But when I get home to you, I find the things that you do will make me feel alright. [Music] So I imagine I'm home because when I get too alone, you know I feel okay.
