Get friends, it's Blister Guy and this is episode 1338 Leib of Walk to Work in Mobile House, don't podcast, that's just following on from yesterday's joke but today is another day in Paradise and I wasn't prepared for last night's last night yesterday's I'm not prepared for anything apparently I yesterday morning's episode number I just snuck up on the IMM slightly more prepared for this title I realized yesterday I called the episode day one in Paradise and I was like is this day two in Paradise I mean technically yes but I could say another day in Paradise and that just took me back to my childhood you may recognize that as the title of a Phil Collins song which it is I have really weird distinct memories with that song for some reason so I first read a lot of the rings when I was eight I don't really remember doing so I know I did I know I was a bit of a showboat in class like they'd call out the role and when when they get to my name I wouldn't just say here or present or yes I would just recite the nine rings palm and you could see the teachers later apparently the teacher wasn't really sure whether I was actually reading it and she would sidle up to me in the school yard and quiz me about the book and would and she told my parents he's definitely reading it and they're like yeah we know I must have been rereading it sometime later and I feel like I did try to when I was 14 but and maybe did get through it and I tried to again when I was 18 and couldn't be bothered I don't quite remember but I definitely read it when I was young but when I was 14 I was rereading it for some reason I remember lying on the floor in my bedroom reading the two towers notably the scene where Frodo Sam and Gollama sort of walking through the marshes or something and Phil Collins another day in Paradise was on the radio and it's a very melancholy sounding song and it's a very melancholy scene in the book right it's just kind of depressing they're walking through the marshes and stuff and I think I don't know like whenever I hear that song I think of that scene in the book not from the movies like I picture it differently because I read the book first and if I'm reading the book or I think about that part of the scene I hear the song in my head very odd there are other songs that evoke other things at certain points my teenage years as well like random video games songs will completely evoke parts of video games that I've not played for you know nearly 30 years but anyway weird right brain who does it so another day in paradise Paris and Paradise two days ago released in Hearthstone and things are settling down or winding up or whatever the first thing of note is that we were told and I don't know that everyone necessarily picked up on that but we were told that they were gonna wait a bit longer before they did the balance changes this time because last few expansions that kind of rushed out balance changes quickly and it's turned out that maybe they weren't necessarily right things to do you know that kind of stuff so they give me more time to grieve this time and it seems to be a good idea so we played lamplighter Rogue yesterday that seems kind of like it's a real deck like sometimes it's not right it's gonna be the kind of sometimes it goes I didn't do it I'm sorry and other times it's gonna be like I did do it my goodness it turns out that it's entirely possible that lamplighter Rogue is not the best lamplighter deck and you bet but how because Rogue is the class that has shed a step and break dance and Sonya it's like yeah yeah the trick is maybe just playing better elementals and you know not looking to lamplighter big although I guess they could maybe brew master lamplighter if they want I don't know is that a thing but apparently lamplighter Sherman looks good I saw Corbett got legend with that and there's even talk of a lamplighter mage going around and when you think about it there are actually some pretty good mage payoffs and elementals so whoa could be imagine imagine if lamplighter Rogue is the third best lamplighter deck maybe maybe a lamplighter might be the problem anyway we shall see there's a lot of other things going on the metagame early on there was a lot of some people are calling it taunt warrior because it is really just control warrior not Reno and it's just bringing back a whole bunch of ziliaxes and there's a lot of ways to find ziliax and get ziliax into play chemical spillers sing a lot of play now as a way to cheat ziliax into play now the best thing about clam clinical the best thing about chemical spill cheating ziliax into play is unkiliax is the now nine mana four six divine shield elusive taunt reborn lifestyle poison I think is that everything but it's a lot right the best answer to that because you can't target it with spells the best answer for that is yogg saron the the hero cut it's not hero caters it's a titan the titan hero whatever it's called because it can gain control of ziliax and the reason this is the best answer is because the best thing to do with ziliax is to reanimated if it hasn't died on your side of the board you can't reanimate it so yogg saron is a fantastic answer to that because it comes down with a divine shield of the text and something kills that thing gains in life but it's still there because divine shield kept alive chemical spill is the warrior spelt an epic last expansion I believe was bangs workshop five mana put the highest cost minion from your hand into play and deal five damage to it now you're like they're just gonna take divine shield off yes yes it will take the divine shield off now the upside of that is if it doesn't have the divine shield and kiliax is actually better because it rushes into something hopefully it dies and takes whatever it rushes into down because it has lifestyle and poison right takes it down you heal and then it's reborn it comes back as a 41 with rush and lifestyle and divine shield and poison and so then it gets to attack into something else and gain you another for health and take something else out that's actually surprisingly good I mean it's weird it's unintuitive that you want to like unkiliax got like four lives with the divine shields and the reborn yeah I'd like to spend one of those lives making sure that it dies at least once before my opponent gets to interact with it which is weird to say but if you're wanting to reanimate it that is kind of key so there you go and not only that chemical spill cost five and getting your ziliax out on five mana it's quite strong anyway that taunt warrior deck that control warrior deck that really I don't know I think ziliax is a bit of a problem with that deck because it just is the best thing to do it's like the Ragnaros and Sylvanas thing from years ago what about these other cool things like that that bouldering buddy the seven mana six seven taunt rush if you have ten mana crystals it costs one yeah that could be pretty cool that's a cool 20 minute no why why would you do that it's it's not ziliax just bring back ziliax ziliax is doing this thing where it's like it's just too good for the cost there's no point trying any other taunts you just might as a run ziliax back in the day Ragnaros and Sylvanas were taken out of core very early on because there was just nothing better at six or eight mana that you wanted to play so you just played those I feel like that's the issue here that said warrior is winning less and less over the last couple of days it started strong hydration station warriors just not as good as it was is it because people are figuring out how fast and aggressive some decks can be and warriors like whoa I was getting a bit greedy about how little removal I was running maybe I need more I don't know I like to gosh is it like if you are definitely playing two town crier to draw the one ziliax or town crier and and all you can eat that kind of thing so that you can definitely run two chemical spills to put one ziliax into play and you can just try to do that like I don't know is it really that so anyway warrior not doing as well some more aggressive decks are doing better now looking at HS guru this is a website run by donkey you may recognize donkey you've seen on streets Croatian I believe he is I might have that wrong that could be totally wrong maybe I think if someone else's creation and he's from somewhere else gosh now I feel bad I'm sorry donkey if I'm just confusing all these European countries but he is a European and my goodness does he have a great website like for the longest time we've known that he has a website that basically collects and you know record stats on decks that people are streaming with but he's been collecting more and more data over the years and now has pages that tell you what are the most winningest decks and standard on the data that he's pulling together like all kinds of stuff it's maybe not as much data as HS replay but it's certainly a heck of a lot more accessible than they said replay because it's free I think he has a patreon it's probably worth supporting him to be honest but also it's just easy to go and they go haha best decks so what we're going to look at this morning despite of these things I've said so far with the lamp lighters and the taunt warriors and stuff as we're going to have a quick look at the most winningest decks on on HS guru as of last night and see what new cards are in the some of them don't have many which if you're on a bit of a budget or you haven't had much time to invest or think in the format that's pretty good news for you the other thing that I've been playing that I'm not about to talk about is concierge druid apparently it's actually alright I've had a couple of games of that where I lost and I was like yeah I guess agro paladin's probably going to beat me and then a few games where I've won and I've gone hang on a minute that's actually really strong like I had one game I can't remember exactly what my early turns were but I know coming into turn five I had concierge I had a tide pull pupil was the little two one naga that's you know discover spell that you've played I had a go with the flow which is the mage spell because we're playing mr vista I have upgraded my mr vista to gold and my ham and you know I have a problem I get it and I go with flow and I had I'd already played a cheer drake so I had a one minor cheer drake and I already had a dollhouse in play a magical dollhouse in play and so on turn six I think it was I played concierge I played the one minor cheer drake concierge may go with the flow zero mana so I gave something plus one spell damage I activated the dollhouse and I had plus three spell damage my death my opponent was on around 24 and they had a 4/4 lifesteal when they had runes of darkness up the arcan at ripper so they had you know been bashing stuff and they'd made a 4/4 lifesteal minion they had another 1/1 and they had something else I think I don't quite remember what they had a bunch of stuff in play I suddenly had plus three spell damage from my dollhouse my 1/1 cheer drake and my go with the flow and a concierge and play and I played the the cellus seabreeze cellus so that went from having two damage randomly split to five damage randomly split for the first one it cost zero because of the concierge so I played that then I could play the pupil and he said you know of all the spells you've played I'm gonna pick that one there that seabreeze cellus so I picked that seabreeze cellus it still had two more drinks in it after the first you know so I had now in hand a cellus with two drinks left and a cellus with three drinks left and so I played all five of those drinks for free because of the concierge and six times five is 30 now my opponent had I don't know was it maybe maybe the extra minion I think it was in play with just being the ghoul led summit I don't know but they had like 29 total health stuff in play or maybe 30 I don't quite remember or maybe I still had a 3-2 cheer drake from before but they got lethal they got lethal hard on turn six and I was like gosh gosh this is strong when it works so I played a few more games with that and I got to I diamond fight diamond four even actually I disconnected mid-game of it but I'd been on a bit of a win streak I think I went like five in a row so I've cruised into diamond 4.1 in standard so that's nice still a gold 5ish gold 2ish maybe in wild I did try a cool questline demon hunter let deck I saw in wild they had like paragliding stuff and I was like oh oh I had patches the pilot had some cool stuff the first game I ran into what was it I knew I remember what oh that's right it was a twisted pack rug and like they suddenly had some knolls and some giants and I had a spork would draw but like that's finest try again and I ran it to a shadow priests and they just like had lethal and not turn three or four and I thought okay maybe I'm supposed to be playing the spell demon hunter deck that I do like playing so I played a couple games of that and won those so that's going alright anyway overall things are looking good we're almost at the park and I'm almost supposed to start playing but I wanted to go through these decks from Donkeys page because I think they tell a story that a lot of the stuff that you're looking when people are sharing decklists I don't tell the most winningest deck as of last night was aggro paladin with a single new card in it and that new card is Gorgon Zormu which I believe is just free on the rewards track so you don't need any new cards really there's a new card but I'm pretty sure we just got given it so that's pretty straightforward just straight up like crusader or a flash sale that kind of paladin it's not that it doesn't have legendaries like has posic has toy kept in terror has amateurs has ziliax but a lot of that stuff of stuff that people may have already had already that is the most winningest deck and part of that is going to be it was already good and people are experimenting with a bunch of stuff so everyone's stuff is not as good as it could be yet and this deck is like I'm good to go mate let's just get in there chop shop W for me L for you etc next up we have rainbow death night rainbow death night has got a few more new cards in it things like corporal that's the three damage for two mana and then spend three corpses to return to your hand at the end of the turn dreadhound handler is the 2 2 for 2 I think it's got rush and death rattle someone a 1 1 with reborn that's clearly going to be feeding those corpse goals well what else we got here gorgon's armor of course Eliza go hound that's the four mana 3 2 death rattle your minions have plus one attack through the game which really does help things like ghouls night which is the four mana spell that summons five 1 ones that attack random enemies if those things go face they survive if you've managed to have an Eliza go hound go off go blade sorry go blade go off are those things gonna be two ones nasty it has a couple horizons edge that's the four mana location the location just says deal three damage randomly amongst all enemies that's just an okay miss I was but it has five durability in each time a million of yours dies you reopen it so yeah we're not just doing one I came as I was the term we're doing like three or four like nasty and also has marin the manager nothing else else new but that's working quite well as well pain lock is doing exceptionally well who could have thought a solid performing deck before it now has a second flame-imp in the party fiend that's the one one that summons two more one ones for one mana and does three damage to you solid stuff curse souvenir given you're gonna be dropping one drops really easily curse souvenirs the two mana spell gets plus three plus three to a minion and that minion deals three to you at Saudi turn pain locks like cool wanted that anyway very solid fearless flame juggler this the two mana one one that gets plus one plus one for each damage you've taken this turn that could be really large as well like I remember in reveal season going well these look like good cards for pain lock and they are they're just performing well and pay like what a surprise what else we got this new in here oh yes party plan of honor like if you're doing everything else you may as well have a party plan of owner in there as well just a ransom people on the path and some puppies talking to each other you got to love seeing some puppies talking to each other although one of them doesn't appear to be on the leads so maybe that's not so great anyway there's a lot going to paint wall lock there that's obviously working out well for people and it's doing very well the last act that's doing very well has got a lot of new cards and that's pirate demon hunter let's see what we see here patches the pilot obviously sock puppet slither spirit is old but it's doing well treasure distributors old just doing well and of course adrenaline fiend we talked about that while drafting an arena right just a two-minute to two is that actually very good it gives you here a plus one attack each time a pirate attacks which includes itself and given you'll probably have pirates and play like you could end up with getting a lot of attack what else there's a coconut cannon I can't remember what that does oh I know that is that's the two-minute one four whenever a pirate attacks the old one damage to an enemy it's only one of those but still all right there's sigil skydiving there's the hose and rough house so that's the three-minute to four that's going to be giving plus one plus one whenever to a pirate whenever a tax good for good that doesn't just wear off and of course dangerous cliffside the four-minute location that gives you a couple of online pirates with charge and if you attack with your hero you get to reopen it so those are solid aggressive well-performing decks you don't hear a lot about them because people want to post the exciting things like druid and rogue or even just lamblighter mage is that what we're thinking I'm opening the game by the way cuz I'm in the park we'll get in there and play some Hearthstone like people want to post the interesting things they want to post the control builds they'll build the stuff that excites people to get fully engaged but those are agrodics performing exceptionally well and amazingly like if a million zilly axes a scary cue is an egg oh thanks huh that sounds like it that sounds like a holiday themed location welcome with everyone but like the whole thing here is that it sounds like it's impossible for agro to win right now except the stats are suggesting that agro is winning all the time so I don't know format's looking good and we don't have any immediate balance changes on the horizon there are a few sentiment outliers perhaps ziliax I'd say is a sentiment outlier but you know if we get rid of ziliax's egg we're just gonna run away with everything who knows so it's gonna be interesting to see how this all shapes up now this morning I could have followed the lamplighter trail and played tried the shaman deck or even the mage deck which is too fair quite spicy I like I feel like next episode I'm probably gonna try the mage deck unless I get standard legend and we're accounting the legit story time oh no we'll see but like exciting stuff in the ladder but I wanted to try out this morning a holy pellet and deck that I saw world eight playing and and world eight got pretty quite rank with it I believe this has a lot of neat stuff in it sank as hell obviously but you know holy glow sticks the the thing that gets cheaper with with holy spells from the previous expansion the mini set like there's some good spice in here so I thought I'd try this out this morning the only downside is of course not everything in as golden I got about four more reward tracks there was before I get golden maren oh by the the druid deck I'm playing doesn't have maren I'm not sure how I feel about that because maren's so good and druid before the expansion but maybe just the whole sea breeze shell is thing is stronger who knows anyway let's queue up will dates with a holy pellet and I guess we're calling it see how we go we are an agro deck so we can probably go toe to toe with other agro decks and maybe we're fast enough to beat the slow decks let's just see how it plays out nope don't play wild did that before so where am I diamond foreign one star queuing up will dates holy pellet let's go will date is a regular in the coin concede discord and has guessed it on a few different podcasts Britain butter a couple times smart guy worth listening to good good follow that kind of thing that's us that's a shaman I suppose this is a shaman is it an elemental shaman guess he might be we have an only hand with a holy glow sticks that's the full mana for damage last year spell they cost one if I played a holy card this turn spell this turn we kind of have one we have a spotlight spotlight is two mana tradable convert a friendly divine shield into a five five elemental it's pretty solid we have the ad hi-ho silvering and we don't have the coin so it's not that we can coin out hi-ho silvering and then turn that divine shield into a five five next turn and if we did we probably wouldn't even have the mountains play the one mana glow sticks I think we got to get rid of glow sticks I think we got to get rid of a spotlight the high-ho silvering is clearly a good keep but I don't think we can bank on it still being having a divine shield on turn three I don't know they've got the coin maybe we can but I think it's just safer to keep the high-ho silvering and see what else we find they kick cards two three and four like if they're curving out shaman stuff they're going to play something on turn one we got back nice we got back a vicious slither spear and the flickering light bot which is the three-man-of-three dragon to fire cost one less for each holy spell you cast a game the first card we drew was another vicious slither spear let's just play one of those turn one that's gonna help us I mean the first vicious slither spear came in the spotlight spot so it's not like I could have been assured that I could protect the the high-ho silvering's divine shield by by leading with it but the second slither spear would have worked anyway looks like are they they're considering the coin and then they passed okay we're drawing a hammer of wrath fine let's play the high-ho silvering go face one without a vicious slither spear so they were holding out the coin in their hand it looked like it was in the coin so I can never quite tell so it looks like they were considering coining something and then declined here it is there's the coin turn three and the card they drew this turn turn the tides goodness so they have a three-three with rush that's taking out my vicious slither spear they're face taking the shield off my high-ho silvering leaving them with a three-two to my two-one now turn the ties that overload it does right so they're gonna overload for one next turn maybe not elemental shaman if they're doing that this is probably bonk shaman this is a shaman deck we saw yesterday I haven't talked about it yet but it's like horn of the windlord a lot of attack buffs and uh the the sandite our mental I think we're trading our high-ho silvering into this three-two because we don't want to take too much damage also we would like to draw a holy spell we have a vicious slither spear we can play the soon we just draw another high-ho silvering those seem like totally fine things just to play so trading they draw us another hammer of wrath let's play a high-ho silvering let's play a vicious slither spear past turn now the only awkward thing here of course is that we've got a couple of three cost spells and four-mile next turn and we have a three-three uh what's this called the flickering uh flickering lightbot it's gonna cost one this reach holy thing we've played in the game but we can't play one of those next turn and get it to cost nothing there's a sigil of summoning sorry sigil of skydiving so they're definitely splashing demon hunter they've got a lot of tokens we've just drawn whoops nope don't want to concede uh volumor three mana three two weapon after your attacks get a one cross sunscreen well that's going to give us something through that fourth mana so let's do that we go face with a weapon putting them to 23 I think we buff the slither spear and we'll make the slither spear a three-five this turn which makes it harder to take down with parachutes so that goes face with three high-ho silvering goes face two putting into 19 so they're about to get three charge pirates two of them can take out the silver wing if they want but if they want to take out the slither spear they need three of those and some help they've got four mana though let's see what they can do card they drew this turn they're playing off the top they're pointing something at one of the pirates no yes no no card from last turn card from over on the left they've put 20 of the cards they're unsure of what to do there's a trusty companion that gives it one of the pirates plus two plus three and draws them something up there's a flaintong totem while that'll help clear things so there's a five four taking out my slither spear and a couple of three ones taking out the high-ho silver wing leaving them with a five one and a flaintong totem like we can take out the flaintong totem just like that because we have uh the the weapon and it's going to give us another sunscreen the five one there will become a three one again they'll still have a minion plate they're on 19 to my 30 though what have we got we're good divine brew give a character divine shield everybody had one give it plus one attack this turn three drinks left nice we also got knickknack shacks we got five mana this turn honestly the reasonable play here is probably just hammer of wrath on the three one after we face tank the uh flaintong totem and then we just play a two-minor flickering light bot hey like it gives the gigantic five version ahead and the gigantic five version will already be reduced a little bit so we can play it maybe as early as if not next turn the turn after so face tank that there flaintong totem hammer of wrath that there pirate now they've got nothing in play we're drawn sank as well nice let's play out the green light bot now six mana next turn is not quite enough to play sank as well and uh be able to put a buff on something but i think that's okay agile identified light bot is a seven mana eight eight right now things we have in hand we have a one-minute sunscreen we have a knickknack shack by the way we're touristing to get the knickknack shack uh draw a card if you play at the turn reopen this we play it next turn we draw a card as long as whatever we draw across three or less we're reopening the shack but there are several things in the deck that cost more than that i mean i didn't quite see what they played but i can see a whole bunch of parachutes popping up the screen so this patches the pilot they're pointing something past the pilot ah backstage bouncer so we've just drawn it lanesa rogue tourist just spells that cost two or less cast twice we have a divine brew we have a sunscreen so we can cast divine brew and sunscreen twice that's not bad uh that would mean that we can take out one of those backstage bounces easily the problem is is that we've been putting two sunscreens on one million and i guess two divine brews on the other if we just did two divine brews on each they both have divine shields one would have one extra attack so i need to do two divine brews uh three four divine brews on one minion to be able to take out the bouncer so it's got to be sunscreen divine brew maybe on lanesa yeah oh no no no no no what if we just did sankazelle rush after this attack to a location the location then buffs the three three which then takes down no that's not necessary oh wait wait it is because it buffs the three three then i give it divine shield with the nice okay sankazelle sankazelle attacks in no that doesn't work darn oh let's just give sankazelle divine shield then because we don't lose any doubt terribly oh my rope is running out you know location on that take out the other minion oh no sankazelle woke up again whoops well i had a three seven sankazelle that could have attacked into the remaining four two uh bouncer which is uh i should have done that because i'd rather have a three three sankazelle and them no minion then having a four two but the rope was burning what could i do i mean i could play far so that's what i could do let's not let's be clear this is entirely on me still we have no mana left uh we still have two drinks left of our divine brew and a sunscreen uh there's a horn of the windlord well that takes out sankazelle either way the problem is i could also have uh taken out the backstage bouncer in the process nasty still the backstage bouncer is going to go down to the hammer of wrath we've got seven months and there's a volumor as well we're on 23 now if i face tanked that backstage bouncer then with horn of the windlord and play can suddenly have a heck of a lot of attack i think we saw or it'll vice playing something similar on release day so i do feel like i want a hammer of wrath that thing if i hammer of wrath that there's not a lot else i can play this turn i can't play the eight eight i guess i'm just going face with a volumor or maybe i'm just playing knickknack shack first and seeing what i draw and seeing the problem there is if i draw something that's like two or three mana and i want to play that to reopen the shack then maybe i'm just risking letting the backstage bouncer hit me and i don't know if i like that oh thank you thank you i was wrong find the winning line i'll try i feel like playing knickknack shack is just leaving yourselves open to maybe losing next turn they only have four cards in hand i guess all right we're playing knickknack shack let's see what's in it this is my rogue worst time to be drawing cards okay it's a one mana holy glue sticks great hammer rep that we can play our holy glue sticks we can divine brew it uh we've got no mana left we can knickknack shack again ah i'm trying to get my transit card out oh great okay so what do we draw uh looks like we drew a sea shanty we also drew a rights protector that would have been good instead of the divine shield on my my uh i'm thinking lane bar this gorgon's normal look at this many three mana on gorgon's normal in turn seven i i mean i think we don't think we lose this turn so that's good oh there's a uh nasty that's the what we call it the excursion death they took three attacks from my minion gave themselves and attacked me for 12 so i'm gonna live in but the horn of the windlord is gone they have a three three gorgon's normal and play four cards in hand one which is the growing cheese we have a three three divine shield lamp lighter uh we've got a couple sea shanties in place i'm in three five five parts cost one less free spell you've cast on characters this game if we play lanesa this turn we can play two spells and a righteous protector potentially on the righteous protector maybe also on lanesa i've only got one divine brew lift only one of them is getting divine shield i guess that already has divine shield so i think this works for us and we're setting up getting the sea shanty's cheaper we're not going to get them cheap enough for lanesa to repeat them and maybe i want to try and do that oh that's just that's just asking for trouble i can attack my holy gloss this is the rope again okay volumor going face with it putting them 13 divine shield is taking out their gorgon's all move we're playing righteous protector we're playing just an eight eight flickering lightbot the foremanor on the shoulders of giants achievements nice this doesn't feel like the most efficient turn but i think we are setting up to have an incredibly good turn with lanesa next turn and we have uh a one one taunt divine shield in place so we're on 11 there on 13 there's an instrument check i mean this is good backstage amounts of turning the instrument taking something so they have another horned the windlord in hand jam session on one of the backstage mountains making it as seven eight and taking the divine shield off okay so we need to get through so my seven eight can take out their seven eight they've got a four four and we've got enough means to do that we're on 11 though they have a horned the windlord in hand and one other card so can they do 11 to us i think we want to leave our taunt up which means we need to buff something else we can also give our taunt divine shield again so that seems good so it's lanesa time we've only got one divine brew left so let's give the divine shield to the righteous protector let's use our niknak shack because we mazadraw a card you never know ah it's another divine brew oh my gosh let's give the eight seven divine shield let's give a sunscreen to the uh three two and uh let's give that divine shield as well it looks like we're killing all of their stuff and our stuff stays alive and uh we can niknak shack again mazadraw the last card and i'll probably get too many cards in hand we go face for two face for three other way all right so they're on eight we they have two cards in hand one which is a horn of the windlord i believe we have a one one divine shield righteous protector so that's going to help the horn of the windlord we've got a five six holy glow sticks and eight seven holy glow sticks and a two six lanesa we're in 11 horn of the windlord and one other card it needs to be a bunch of burn to go face i think there's a skirting death on our eight seven making it a four seven giving them four attack there's a delicious cheese oh that's what the other card is right oh they got a rush minion it's a one three rush but it takes the divine shield off they get they get to face tank the one one and they're here at parrot they got a taunt totem they're on seven they've got a three four taunts and a zero two taunt we've overdrawn a spotlight i don't think we mind because there's two taunts we just need to get through for nuss damage we've got lethal in play the two six lanesa takes out the zero two taunt the five six glow sticks takes out the three four taunt and the eight seven goes face we don't need to do anything else anything else would be beaming even talking about it was beaming they got a negative one so the last card in hand was a horn of the windlord they needed the minions they had in play from the gorgon's own route to survive to get the lethal otherwise they needed a draw like another skirting death or even a turn the tides off the top to make it lethal because i'm 11 and horn the windlord plus plus three attack or even plus four attack is lethal oh no they used the second skirting death didn't they that last turn so that had to be the second turn the tides uh unless i had lethal which i did thank goodness diamond forward two stars thank you to world eight for the sweet deck i had to say there's a train here i should probably get on it but i'm not i'm going to sign off and take a little bit longer whoo all right so that's a deck we haven't talked about that shaman deck uh it is basically just good shaman cards and horn of the windlord because there's once you're playing skirting death and turn the tides you have a bunch of ways to give yourself plus attack and a bunch of ways to give yourself plus attack and horn of the windlord like paladin used to do that right like basically oh suddenly i have seven attack and i'm attacking you twice and fourteen what are you going to do about it well um i'm going to go to the next game actually so this is how that shaman deck works i know donkey posted a picture of yesterday and said hey looks like we got a new archetype what do we call it uh and people called it various things and i think he's settled on bonk shaman which i like that name it's pretty good that works right the train is gone we're now waiting for the next train of course i am good to get on so that's another shaman i'm like i'm not i don't think it's better than elemental shaman it's probably more fun to play than elemental shaman for me perhaps so that's the thing i guess nice that uh classes have multiple decks to play i think vaguely i mean look it's still shaking out i'm sure vicious syndicate will tell us soon about how the initial meta is looking in and what's viable and what is not but uh so far so good really enjoying perils and paradise what is today i didn't say that i was supposed to say that the date at the start wasn't i i was getting obsessed with phil Collins today is the 26th of july july has 31 days so i've got a bit of time to finish my legend climb in standard i think it's very doable i think all things going to plan i'll hopefully be talking to you about a legend story time next episode on Tuesday Tuesday according to my calendar is the 30th here and the 31st is wednesday so technically thursday five p.m my time is when the month ends i think that gives me enough time to hopefully get legend if not Tuesday then right thursday and potentially also legend in wild as well hopefully but there's some weird stuff going on in wild by the way maybe i'll talk about that later like i've seen some i've seen some weird infinite combos with amalgam uh adaptive amalgam i don't quite understand it but it's it's a shock it it's actually also in standard by the way but we'll talk more about that later um i don't think they're very good but basically amalgam having a death rattle where it shuffles itself in and also having a death rattle from uh thunder mare that recruits an elemental or a uh beast we'll pull it back out again and in wild possessed lackey we'll pull it out as a demon what i saw in wild was someone using liches fire actory and tems and seeking play liches flaktery twice to give it both the death rattle of a selfish she uh selfish shellfish to get your opponent to draw two cards and the possessed lackey so once you play it and kill it with a spirit-singer umber in play so every time you summon it it re-triggers it's death rattle so it just keeps going over and over and over and over and over and causes your opponent to draw all the cards in the deck and fatigues till like a thousand anyway there's a train here i should get on this i didn't think of patreon two next episode i promise all right follow me
