Senior editor at large Josh Hammer, also Brittany Hopper, former TV journalist, Theo Wald will be back on the show and the Colonel Rob Maynes will be here. So great lineup, lots of news and it's just been a busy week. No, listen, less than two weeks ago, Donald Trump had an assassination attempt on his life. It seems like it was years ago after all the stuff that's transpired over the course of the last couple of weeks. This news cycle is out of control, gives me anxiety, keeps me up at night. But you know, we're here for it. It just seems like, you know, if anybody thinks that they're going to be able to catch their breath between now and November 5th, they got another thing coming. What do you think? Yeah, buckle up buckaroo. It's going to get wild. What about the negative press that's been circulating online coming off the commentary from the disgraceful FBI director the other day during the House Oversight Committee hearing where he said there was not conclusive evidence that Donald Trump was struck with a bullet even though the iconic now, New York Times picture, which clearly showed the bullet that graced his ear, whizzing past his head. It's absolutely disgusting and disgraceful. But you know, now that Joe Biden's out of the news cycle, Republicans think they're going to get a fair shake in the media anymore. They got another thing coming. Well, the the bullet thing that all started with people claiming that one of the teleprompters got hit and got hit with glass from the from the teleprompter, which shrapnel was coming from unless they hit the Democrats dignity on the way to Trump or something. I'm not sure. Well, I mean, listen, that's even a smaller margin of error than it was missing President Trump in a greater context. So I like where you're going with that one. But yeah, it's just it's an absolute embarrassment the way these people conduct themselves and the way they think that, you know, normal Americans are going to be able to absolutely digest that as the truth. I can't take and stress anymore for, you know, our listenership. Listen, it was nice getting a fair shake in the media for a couple weeks as the Democrats disposed of Joe Biden and Donald Trump was recovering from literally an attempt on his life. But now that we're back into candidate one versus candidate to question mark, I guess, you know, you need to expect if it took the media over three and a half years or if you want to look at in the totality of Joe Biden's public service, over 50 to turn on him. If anybody thinks that Donald Trump's going to get a fair shake for the rest of this election cycle, I mean, come on guys, we got to be better than that. I see a lot of people crying online that, you know, the Democrats are putting out fake polls. They're trying to erase Kamala Harris's, you know, crap legacy online. And what else did you expect? You know, it was going to be bad for Joe Biden because they wanted to be done with Joe Biden and they did what they needed to do. They forced him out. That's where we're going to get started with today because, believe it or not, even though it's like out of everybody's minds already, this is very historic. It's only happened a very small handful of times in the history of our republic where a sitting president would announce before even his convention that he wasn't going to accept the nomination and just complete his term in office. And, you know, for the way the deep state was able to methodically go about, you know, just kind of a death by a thousand cuts on Joe Biden. This is the same media that told you two weeks ago that Joe Biden was sharp that he was fit, that he wasn't going anywhere. And now we've already segued in a little less than 72 hours since the announcement. No, no, as you saw a break over the weekend, what did you think? Well, I hate to say I told you so again, but I told you so just like I said, just like I said, somebody was going to take a shot at Trump and there it happened. I don't know. I had a couple other predictions. I can't remember what they are. We'll see. We'll see if those those happen as well. But I don't know. I mean, it would have been better for us if he would have at least trot along until the election because while I don't think Kamala Harris is going to be a chore to beat and it is beautiful watching the left eat themselves, the party of democracy literally going and doing something that is completely undemocratic, which your your elites select your candidate. Yeah, wild. But you know, I felt pretty good about Biden stepping down because if worst case scenario, they do win again. If they manage to deliver more signed ballots and et cetera, et cetera, then it would just be four years of us knowing that it's the same shit and nobody's really driving the bus. Yeah, that's another thing people need to take into consideration and really start to buckle down on. This election went from being one that looked pretty standard and where the election victories were going to come out of back to Donald Trump, maybe winning a more broad electoral map due to the fact that Joe Biden was so bad. And then now with Kamala Harris, it looks like at least the media is going to make it seem like this is going back to standard practice of Democrat versus Republican, the states that are red or staying red, the states that are blue, staying blue, the battlegrounds and the bellwethers will be just as such. And you know, less than 200,000 votes sprinkled across a couple counties throughout a few states across this country are going to determine on whether or not Donald Trump or Kamala Harris is the next president of the United States. I don't think it should be that way. It might change a lot between now and the election. I mean, I don't see here getting very much of a bump. And listen, for anyone that listened to our last two episodes on Tuesday, just go to the last 15 minutes, I give a complete said the media is going to turn on Donald Trump said the polls are all going to come out fake within hours of them installing Kamala Harris, et cetera, you know, and said we need to get back to doing things the way we have done it for the last almost eight years now. We're down 10 points behind every day when we wake up in the morning and the foot doesn't come off the gas between now and November 5th. So if you ask the Democrats what a perfect storm would look like on how to steal an election, it would be to install an obscure candidate who's just going to carry the party line messaging, pretend that nothing that she did through the entirety of her public service career was true and then pour every amount of dollars and cents they have into an election cycle just for a hundred days. They take it every time. So, you know, this is kind of the challenges that we're up against. Thank God. We have Donald Trump and JD Vance to kind of lead the way here. I don't see any shifts in, you know, how much we're going to flip the Senate by whether or not we retain the House and if Donald Trump's going to win the White House, but for the people that want to get complacent just because we got a little positive press in the media and we had a really strong RNC, that's not where this campaign starts and ends. It ends on November 5th and then the next term begins on, you know, January 6th of 2025. So it's one of those things where we really have to be able to just buckle up, buckle down and, you know, now take our eyes off the prize. I can't say it enough because what's happened with the Democrats and with Joe Biden and the installation of Kamala Harris is something that we've never seen before. And if that's what they're going to use is the standard practice for this election cycle, then who knows what the hell they're going to throw at us between now and November 5th. So there might be an aspect of the disenfranchised left that are going to just stay home and not vote at all or throw their vote away on a third party candidate. Sure. I mean, and with all the money the Democrats have, who's to say they're not going to pay or influence those independent candidates to just say, hey, listen, 1% nationally, it's cool. But if you just want to kind of get together on this thing, then, you know, we could make sure that the White House stays in our side and moving forward, you guys could have a little bit more of a platform to kind of expand on, etc. There's a lot of different things that people aren't talking about or thinking about right now. Here's one. Noah, did you think now that it might have been a mistake to debate Joe Biden as early as we did based off simply the fact was that seemed like it was the litmus test on whether or not he was going to be able to stay in this election cycle or at least the start of the argument? Well, like maybe we should have not done it because it started the cascade of failure. Yeah, maybe we just sort of said, you want to know what? Instead of any time anyplace anywhere, it could be any time anyplace anywhere after your convention and you're confirmed as the nominee. Yeah, I guess. I mean, I'm glad it happened though because it needed to happen. Yeah, it does say a lot for the state of the nation and the state of the Democrat party. But they're in a good spot right now and they're not as worried as they were just a few short days ago. So they don't have to go out and lie that Joe Biden's the best candidate in the history of candidates ever. They did kind of try and rewrite history. And again, this is what we're going to have to be up against. We're going to get into Joe Biden's farewell address even though he's not leaving his position as president of the United States, just candidate for the Republican party. And by the time we break this down, you're going to hear some of the revisionist history that the Democrats are pushing on us. And this is the messaging that they're going to use counter to Donald Trump's agenda and agenda 47 moving forward that we're really going to have to be keen on pushing as what the actual truth is. So let's jump into this. Joe Biden, we're going to listen to it, I believe over the course of four or five clips. It's only 10 minutes in its entirety, but I don't want to kind of cut it up and just leave space for commentary. So people don't, you know, have the argument that we didn't let the man well battle with the teleprompter like he always does. Let's check it out. My fellow Americans, I'm speaking to you tonight from behind the resolute desk in the Oval Office. In this sacred space, I'm surrounded by portraits of extraordinary American presidents. Thomas Jefferson wrote the immortal words that guide this nation. George Washington showed us presidents are not kings. Abraham Lincoln who implored us to reject malice. Franklin Roosevelt who inspired us to reject fear. I revere this office, but I love my country more. It's been the honor of my life to serve as your president, but in the defense of democracy, which is a stake, I think is more important than any title. I draw strength and I find joy in working for the American people, but this sacred task of perfecting our union, it's not about me. It's about you, your families, your futures. It's about we the people. We can never forget that. And I never have. All right. No, that was kind of the intro part of it there. You know, he alluded to pictures that hang up in the Oval Office, but he was reading off a teleprompter so he wasn't really paying homage to any of them. But you know, again, they go in with the messaging, preserve democracy. That is something that they used as a counterpoint narrative throughout the entirety of Donald Trump's political career as he is the alternative to democracy. Like he will ruin it. He will take away your rights, they, you know, point out things like the women's choice to choose, even though that's complete debunk narratives, the Supreme Court ruled on it, send it back to the state. So all the purple-haired meanings can go and vote in their elections and get as much abortion rights as they want. But you know, when you just do a broad stroke, like protecting democracy or saving democracy or preserving democracy, it's something that nothing at all. Well, that also is the case. But I mean, you beat it into a person's head enough, especially someone that's not as politically keen as maybe our listenership here on State for Breakfast. It's something that people take into consideration when building a narrative inside of their own brain. Yeah, I mean, also the other thing to notice is that when they say our democracy, they're not talking about everybody. When they're talking about our democracy, they're talking about their side of the party, their democracy, their democracy, Democrat tea. Yeah, no, that's a great point. Joe Biden would then segue on to where he plans on going the path forward, not the one he's walking because we've all seen what that looks like, but figuratively and still as the chief executive officer of the entire plan. Let's listen. I've made it clear that I believe America is at an inflection point. On those rare moments in history, when the decisions we make now return our fate of our nation and the world for decades to come, America's going to have to choose between moving forward or backward, between hope and hate, between unity and division. We have to decide do we still believe in honesty, decency, respect, freedom, justice and democracy. In this moment, we can see those we disagree with not as enemies, but as fellow Americans. Can we do that? Does character and public life still matter? I believe in all the answer to these questions because I know you, the American people, and I know this. We are a great nation because we are good people. Let's just say I like ice cream. When you elected me to this office, I promise to always love with you, to tell you the truth and the truth. The sacred cause of this country is larger than any one of us. And those of us who cherish that cause. Cherry? Cherry should so much a cause of American democracy itself. Once you knight to protect it, you know, in recent weeks has become clear to me that I need to unite my party in this critical endeavor. I believe my record is president, my leadership in the world, my vision for America's future, all merit it a second term, but nothing, nothing can come in the way of saving our democracy. That includes personal ambition. So I've decided the best way forward is to pass the torch for a new generation. It's the best way to unite our nation. You think Noah? The best way forward is passing a new torch. You know, the more I've watched it, I've watched it live and then, you know, and breaking down and writing up the skeleton for it, probably four or five times. This is like an Al Qaeda hostage video from back in the early 2000s where they're like reading about how awesome Al Qaeda is. Well, the other weird thing about the whole thing is never once have they just gun decked the fucking teleprompter to the point where it was off above and away from the line of sight to the camera. Like these addresses to the nation have always been the eyes are at least nearby the camera. Yeah, the imagery is that the president from the Oval Office is talking to the nation. He's talking to you. And this guy's like looking up and to the left. Like this thing is just, I don't even know if this is the real. Listen, it was dark on the East Coast when this aired. It was 8 p.m. And it was like still kind of light out in the window behind him. And then obviously you can hear birds chirping like crazy. That's not pretty normal at sunset, either, especially in places like the White House in the middle of Washington DC. I don't know why that would be a thing, but you know, man, you look at the faces on Joe Biden's family who is sitting there and his crazy sister, his crazy wife, his degenerate son, and his weirdo daughter. It just looked like, you know, listen, everybody kind of heard it's been leaked. What happened? They told Joe Biden, you're not going to be the nominee. He told them essentially to go fuck yourselves. They played chicken for about 10 days. And then Nancy Pelosi had a conversation with him and his top advisor about a week ago and said, after arguing with Joe Biden, number one, get off the phone. Number two, this is what's going to happen. You can continue to play these games or we're going to invoke the 25th amendment. We've already got a couple cabinet members to flip. It won't be that hard. Like we can make the case that this is something that came swift, that came recent. And that's why the narrative has changed, but for the benefit of the country, you won't even finish your term. So it's either going to be you have somewhat of a legacy or no legacy, the choice is yours. And you could tell in the body language, in the delivery of this, how unemotional it was because he's so scared of losing his place on the teleprompter and his inability to read from it even, you know, now we're at a bad point. And this is what happened. I mean, Kim Jong Un, Bashir Assad, you know, the molas in Iran, probably Vladimir Putin, Maduro, they edged to this stuff. This is like what makes their countries great again for them, you know, those Assad margins where you win by 99.9% in every election, even though you are the president of one of the biggest shitholes on the face of the earth. I misunderstood what you meant by the edge to this stuff. Yeah. But, you know, it's bad. And this is something that for as fast as they whisked Kamala Harris in, we didn't have enough time to really constitutionally break down the coup that was ran against this country. Yeah. Well, and there's also theories that Joe Biden, that medical emergency that he had, he may have just woken up for it. And they had already sent that letter with the sketchy signature on the non-presidential letterhead. And he wakes up and be like, hey, sorry, you know, we didn't think you were going to make it. So you step down. Yeah. Oh, come on, man. There's a lot of talking points. I mean, they made up for it because I don't know if you saw. Do you know what they did directly after you addressed the nation? Stretch Joe Biden four inches while he had and hosted an ice cream social in the Rose Garden with the members of the press who have been most loyal to the regime. Oh, can't make this shit up, man. I mean, you really can't, but, you know, I do want to be able to get through this. You know, we talked about passing the torch now. So let's kind of see what that meant. I mean, obviously, we know candidate wise, but let's see how well his closest handlers wrote it up for America. But you're saying they had ice cream clones? I know there was a time and a place for a long years of experience in public life. There's also a time and a place for new voices, fresh voices. Yes, younger voices. And that time and place is now. On the next six months, I'll be focused on doing my job as president. That means I'll continue to lower costs for hardworking families between the hours of 10 a.m. to grow our economy. I'll keep defending our personal freedoms and our civil rights from the right to vote to the right to choose. I'll keep calling out hate and extremism. Make it clear there is no place, no place in America for political violence or any violence that ever, period. I'm going to keep speaking out, protect our kids from gun violence. Our planet from climate crisis is the existential threat. And I will keep fighting my from my cancer moonshot so we can end cancer as we know it because we can do it. I'm going to call for a Supreme Court reform because this is critical to our democracy, Supreme Court reform. You know, I will keep working to ensure America remains strong and secure in the leader of the free world. I'm the first president in this century to report to the American people that the United States is not a war anywhere in the world. That's one. We'll keep rallying a coalition of proud nations to stop Putin from taking over Ukraine and doing more damage. We'll keep NATO stronger and I'll make it more powerful and more united than any time in all of our history. I'll keep doing the same for allies in the Pacific. You know, when I came to office, the convention was the most at China when it inevitably passed the United States. That's not the case anymore. And I'm going to keep working to end the war in Gaza, bring home all the hostages to bring peace and security to the Middle East and end this war. We're also working around the clock to bring home Americans being unjustly detained all around the world. That's never going to happen by you. You know, we've come so far since my inauguration. On that day, I told you as I stood in that winter, we're stood in a winter, a pearl and a winter of possibilities, a parallel possibility. Yeah, winter of death. We're in the grip of the war. We were in the grip of the worst pandemic in the century. The worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. What was it? The worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War when we came together as Americans. We got through it. We merged stronger, more prosperous and more secure. Today, we have the strongest economy in the world, creating nearly 16 million new jobs of record. Wages are up. The place you'd continue to come down. The racial wealth gap is the lowest has been in 20 years. We're literally rebuilding our entire nation, urban, suburban, rural, and tribal communities. We're going to stop it right there again. Two big lies, well, there were a lot of them, but the biggest ones are counter narratives to what Donald Trump is promoting out on the campaign trail. The number one, and we all know this is bullshit, is that he is the president that is presiding over no wars. What the fuck are you talking about? Although that might technically be true, his disdain for the nation of Israel and his challenging of Russian President Vladimir Putin have led directly to two major conflicts, to say the least, plus have activated the Houthis in Africa. The world is 10 times worse than when Joe Biden took office. I don't care if American ground troops are formally involved. You have plain clothes, operators, you have special forces, and you have contractors from the United States all over a very hot zone on the planet doing what we do, and that's blow shit up. This is all because of Joe Biden's failed and illegitimate foreign policy. In addition, he talked about NATO expansion, something that Donald Trump is staunchly against. He doesn't want to see NATO thrive. He wants to see them pay their fair share if they want to continue to exist as an international entity. And Joe Biden's continued attempt to expand the brand has caused Vladimir Putin to be reluctant from getting to the negotiation tables as it's one of his non starters. If you come to the table saying we're going to get peace in any way, shape, or form, but that peace comes with the guys that you're going to expand NATO, then I'm not having it and we won't stop our ground operation into Ukraine until you say that your guys are done expanding, period. And which I don't think is that crazy to ask? No, I mean, what benefit does NATO have of having somebody like Ukraine, a super corrupt country join so they can skim off the top of that too, skim off the top of the money that we're giving NATO or continue to add members or expand in different directions other than directly up against Russia. You know, it's absolutely ridiculous the way that they have continued to stoke the flames of the fire of that conflict over there. And it would have been resolved probably two years ago if Joe Biden was a complete moron. And Tony Blinken and Jake Sullivan weren't the ones dictating foreign policy on it. You know, Larry Jarrett and Victoria Newell and also are there. Susan Rice and John Kerry as well. But you know, it's one of those things that people are just dying to die now. There's literally nothing else we're providing Ukraine with long range weaponry that's being fired into Russian territory, essentially blowing up and killing no one. And every single person that they pull off the street of which they consider fighting age, I guess that's now between 12 and 80. And they send to the front lines get immediately destroyed by either, you know, massive munitions or ballistics or just they fly drones into them and blow them up. It's like sad. I see some of these videos online now where you've got like 65 year old men running away from a drone and the video ends when the drone blows up and kills both of them. We're going to keep going to the point where they're going to run out of so many people they're going to have like wheelchair battalions and fucking electric scooter battalions. The population of Ukraine since its last census is probably going to be somewhere between seven and eight million less than the last time it was taken. That's crazy. I mean seven or eight million people haven't died, but the exodus out of there into places. Oh, the huge exodus out of there. Poland and into the United States and all the places like that. That's wild. But you know, and again, what is Ukraine setting itself up for? Okay, eventually the war ends. You need people to rebuild it. Unfortunately for them, they're going to continue the massive African migration, not just in the mainland Europe, but into places like Ukraine now. And that's really going to change the demographic of that country over the course of the next 10 to 20 years as well, something a lot of people don't talk about or taking into consideration. But listen, if you needed a place to dump 10 million doctors, lawyers and engineers who are rape enthusiasts and usually live in the lawless places where criminality is formalized, Ukraine is prime for the picking right now and you could ask everybody in Germany and France and the UK and Italy what that's like for them. So let's keep it rolling here. We're getting ready to wrap up. I do want to keep, you know, talking about some of the points that Joe Biden made laying out for the eventual replacement for him on the ticket that's going to be Kamala Harris. And we're on no new wars. Number two, NATO expansion. There are going to be a couple other whoppers. Let's check it out. Actually, let's come back to America. We're leading the world again in chips and science and innovation. We finally beat big farm after all these years to lower the cost of prescriptions out for seniors. And I'm going to keep fighting to make sure we lower the cost for everyone, not just seniors. More people have health care today in America than ever before. And I sign on most significant laws helping millions of veterans and their families who are exposed to toxic materials, you know, most significant climate law ever, ever in the history of the world. The first major gun safety law in 30 years today, violent crime rate is at a 50 year low. We're also securing our border. Border crossings are lower today than when the previous administration left office. I've kept my commitment to appoint the first black woman to the Supreme Court of the United States of America. I also kept my commitment to having an administration that looks like America and be a president for all Americans. That's what I've done. I ran for president four years ago because I believed and still do that the soul of America was a stake. God. The very nature of who we are was a stake. And that's still the case. America's an idea. An idea is charming in any army, bigger than any ocean, more powerful than any dictator or tyrant. It's the most powerful idea in the history of the world. That idea is that we hold these truths to be self evident. Stop it because he's about to have a big stutter right there. Okay. Lowering the cost of health care that something is absolutely fact checked in every way, shape, or form, either by the press or social medias every time he posted out, that's a flat out lie. They raised the cost of health care and then lowered it to not Trump lowered cost. And listen, Obamacare is still a thing. So everybody's forced on having health insurance or you get penalized in your taxes. So more Americans are born and come of age. And then they're forced to get things like Obamacare. So I guess he's not necessarily lying there, but the skewing of the truth and the cost and affordability of medicine under Donald Trump. Listen, if you lower the cost a little bit and you're still living in this economy, it doesn't fucking matter. It would have to be like historic lows across the board to even make a dent in what's going on. You know, he also talked about the way the diverse nature of his cabinet. I mean, what an absolute fucking joke. He had people like Sarah Huckabee Sanders as the White House press secretary, Dr. Ben Carson, and, you know, Rick Grinnell, and you had all these women, Linda McMahon, and just so many different people in his administration that were not of the stereotypical cookie cutter, tight suit wearing Republican males when Donald Trump was president. You know, it's silly the way that they kind of, you know, use that narrative to continue to just brush up violent racism. He talked about the best economy in the history of the planet. Remember, if the S&P 500 is doing good, so is your 401k, but when it comes to money in your bank account and the affordability of anything, we're absolutely all getting destroyed outside of the elitist of elite class. And that's just the fact of the matter. No, if you believe he had the balls. And we know how they skew the numbers. Obviously, the controlled border crossings at places like ports of entry, the CBP one app, the Biden flights, et cetera. But to say that we have a safer and secure, more safer and secure border now than we did under Donald Trump. I don't know who in that, you know, speech write up team had the absolute gall to put that in there. Yeah. Well, weren't they saying that the numbers were less than under Trump? Yes. Isn't that what it said? That is laughable. But just like with counting votes and counting people, it all depends on who's doing the counting. No, that's the truth. If they're not counting people, the CBP one applicants and whatever other shady midnight flights that they're doing do not count. Neither do Godaways, neither do walkaways. So yeah, that's why encounters are down. And then they justify it by saying is, Oh, you know, we say border encounters. But what we really mean is about that core for countries of, you know, Cuba and Venezuela and like two other places that Guatemala and, you know, the golden triangle countries plus Cuba. And they say, yeah, we're historical those from well, that's because over the course of since when Barack Obama was in office, nearly the entirety of those countries dumped everyone that wanted to come here into America. Nope. You know, there's so many cities on the east coast in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut that have more Venezuelans and more Cubans. Well, then Cuba does essentially. And some of Venezuela's major cities do as far as population goes. And that's because of the open border policies of prior administrations. So, you know, you need to take that into consideration when they're pushing and then man, that economy won. That's an absolute whopper as well. And I can't believe, but this is what they're going to say. Donald Trump's going to say Joe Biden, rekt the economy. Come on, how is he going to say, you got to be fine. You know, Joe Biden opened up the borders and 20 million people. Oh, no. Look at the data, the data from a hundred may orchids. And look at how low these numbers are historic lows. And that's what they're going to do. So, you know, you have to be on your toes when this stuff comes out. Let's keep going. We're all created equal. In Dabburg, it was certainly an animal race. Life, liberty, pursuit of happiness. We've never fully lived up to it, to this sacred idea. But we've never walked away from it either. And I do not believe the American people will walk away from it now. In just a few months, the American people will choose the course of America's future. I made my choice. I've made my views known. I'd like to thank our great vice president, Kamala Harris. She experienced. She's tough. She's capable. She's been an incredible partner to me and the leader for our country. Now the choice is up to you, the American people. When you make that choice, remember the words of Benjamin Franklin's hanging on my wall here in the Oval Office? The wrong way. Alongside the bust of Dr. King and Rosa Parks, it says, "A Shabbat." When Ben Franklin was asked, as he emerged from... He has a bust of Rosa Parks too? Yeah. The convention going on, whether the founders have given America a monarchy republic, Franklin response was a republic. If you can keep it. A republic. If you can keep it. Whether we keep our republic is now in your hands. My fellow American has been the privilege of my life to serve this nation for over 50 years. Nowhere else on earth, could it keep with the stutter? From modest beginnings in the Scranton, Pennsylvania, Kleinman, Delaware, one day should be behind the residue desk in the Oval Office as president of the United States. But here I am. That's what's so special about America. We are a nation of promise and possibilities, of dreamers and doers, of ordinary Americans doing extraordinary things. I've given my heart and my soul to our nation, like so many others, that I'm blessed a million times in return with the love and support of American people. I hope you have some idea how grateful I am to all of you. The great thing about America is here. Kings and dictators do not rule that people do. History is in your hands. The power is in your hands. The idea of America lies in your hands. We just have to keep faith, keep the faith. And remember who we are. We're the United States of America. And there's simply nothing, nothing beyond our capacity. We do it together. Let's act together. Preserve our democracy. God bless you all. May God protect our troops. Asshole. I thought we didn't have any troops in harm's way right now, Joe Biden. Man, it was, well, Noah, your first hot take. So much bullshit and so little time. What was the biggest thing missing from Joe Biden explaining to the country why he wasn't running for president again? A legitimate reason? Yeah. Why he wasn't running for president again? Because they told me I wasn't. Exactly. Anything else? Any other excuse, otherwise, whether it be age is why. Yep. Whether it wasn't a live broadcast. There's no fucking way that was a live broadcast. No, whether it was mental acuity, whether it was physical fitness, whether it was, you know, medical concerns that he had moving forward. Any kind of thing that led into I'm not running for reelection because I physically, mentally or both of Lee can't meant that Joe Biden isn't fit to continue out his term as president of the United States. So it just had to be, oh, yeah, I'm, I've decided that it's time to pass a torch to a younger generation of voices. What the fuck does that even mean? Kamala Harris is like 60 something years old. And it's just an embarrassment, the way that they dragged this guy out there. And, you know, essentially made him dunk on himself for 11 minutes in front of the country and stutter off a tailprompter and lose his place. Yeah, it's just horrible. And the fact that there wasn't more of the flubs, whoever edited that, because I guarantee it was edited. Remember when I mentioned that he changed pitch? Yeah, it looked like a cut in. So whether or not they were very, very careful with how smooth and seamless it was this time. I mean, there people are already saying that his watch was at the wrong time. Is that the wrong time? But I wonder if like, how long could you see his watch? Like, could you see it throughout most of the whole thing? It'd be like that edited video from the Simpsons where the clock is like changing behind. Oh, gosh, that's a, that's a really good point. Yeah, it's crazy. I mean, you know, we've never gone through anything like this to this extent and with the concerns that the country has over who's really running the nation. You know, there's been presidents that have, you know, kind of shut down and had major health problems, like Woodrow Wilson and Ronald Reagan at the end of their second terms, which, you know, the way Joe Biden's been able to basically devolve in front of us before our eyes over the course of the last three plus years, man, I was watching clips of him in the 2019 debate. And even though he had a couple times, you know, remember in his place or what he said, he was so much sharper than he is now. It's wild. And, you know, the reactions were mixed and shorter, much shorter by about four inches. So, listen, there are a lot of health benefits when you do eat natural ice cream and dairy based, big, strong bones, even in advanced age, as Joe Biden is, but he's a growing boy. Yeah, it was a man. I don't even know what it's just you watch it and then you process it, you see like the extreme measures that people will go to try to promote like conspiracy theories and stuff, but then you're just like, okay, well, I'm not retarded. So I'm literally watching this and I know it's not right, but it can't be that, can it? But unfortunately, it might be. So, who knows, you know, but here's the deal. They're done with them. And he's a complete lame duck. He won't be doing anything outside of like ceremonies where he goes and sits and claps and hopefully doesn't fall asleep. Anything he speaks on will be very brief and without context. And, you know, this is kind of what we have to expect. They're over Joe Biden and just expect a lot more vacations up in Delaware between now. I hope he gets mad and just like freaks out and gets crazy on camera. Like, I didn't want to fucking step down. These assholes have been hamstringing me along this entire time. And unfortunately, the Democrat party is so awful, just in the way that they conduct themselves. Even people like the Biden's will likely bite their tongues and then let America know exactly what happened behind the scene, if and when the election doesn't go their way in a tall book. Yeah. If and when the election doesn't go the Democrats way in November. So we'll just have to keep tracking from there. Guys, wherever you're listening to the show today, welcome. So the world reacted following the speech and while the ice cream was being eaten and CNN, of course, was going to try and crown Joe Biden as an attempt to say, I'm sorry for being mean to you for the last couple of weeks. And since the debates, so they can get back in with the Kamala Harris team as they were ascending to the top of the Democrat ticket, let's hear them. Ultimately, Joe Biden made the right. And also, I think everyone would agree, maybe Scott wouldn't agree, but I think most people would agree, selfless decision to step down. And I think, you know, to Alyssa's point, yes, speaking of binaries was hard, but to suggest that somehow the Democratic Party has been, you know, has been opaque about this when what ultimately happened is Democrats had a very public, painful discussion about all of this. And Joe Biden didn't have to step down. It's his office to relinquish. It's his nomination to relinquish. And he chose to make that decision in service of a belief that the country and our democracy is more valuable than his own personal ambition. And when you have not only Donald Trump refusing to accept that he lost the election in 2020, but then the leadership of the Republican Party standing behind him and you want to talk about people going out to cameras and saying things they know aren't true. I mean, my God, you've had a parade of the Republican Party for four years arguing that, you know, you didn't see what you saw. You didn't, you know, Donald Trump didn't actually abet these people going, you know, taking, taking up arms and going into the capital. So ultimately, can I just ultimately, you have somebody in President Biden who made a decision that is about loving his country. And you have somebody in Donald Trump who said, I only love me. Get up, silly woman. Oh, man, these, listen, we're right back to it. Everybody was feeling bad. Donald Trump almost got assassinated. They didn't want Joe Biden anymore. Let's be nice to them and the media, even on CNN and MSD and see maybe not really a threat to democracy. Maybe they're just a concerned democracy. Now it's full on back to rapist, racist, misogynistic, big it, you name it. And it's got an isth at the end of it. And it's set by someone who has pronouns in their bio. That's what Donald Trump and the America First Movement is back to. So never fear. This is back to work for us. Dana Preno from Fox News was weighing in with immediate reaction. And I kind of heard her in a few days, you know, when the paper came out, I was watching it in real time. I was in Arizona trying to take in as little of the media as I could. You want to know what? I do want to tell a lot of our listenership who had reached out online. As I mentioned on our Tuesday edition to the show, I believe that my little sister unexpectedly passed away last week. And you know, I was running around so much over the course behind the scenes for the last week or so, traveling back and forth to Arizona, obviously the funeral procession and such. Thank you very much for your kind words on lines and then the DMs and the comments section of our posts. I really appreciate it. And that does, you know, help me get through what is a very difficult time for my family. But I was watching Dana Preno kind of go through this and she's like, maybe it's time to just call the mercy rules. She's like, I hope they make it. Not all about stupid shit. I kind of hope they make it like, let's just send Joe Biden off into the sunset and hope he never comes back but do it in the most like dignified way possible. Obviously, you heard all 11 minutes of Joe Biden mumbling in coherency's about things that really don't connect in regards to his legacy, the honest and actual state of the nation, etc. And, you know, she was the first person to point it out that I saw so I pulled the koopa's here. I really wanted to love this speech. I wanted to be happy for him. I wanted to say good for you, sir. And I wanted to feel reassured that he has got what it takes to get us through the next six months. People really wanted to know what just happened in the last three weeks. But this speech was like a mini state of the union. It was like something he could have given in January of 2025. It rang hollow for me. It did not answer any of those questions. And I do not think that it helps Kamala Harris as she tries to make some sort of a break with him as she tries to get this nomination and try to beat Donald Trump. It's going to be very difficult for her to do so. He's got six months left. And there's a lot of problems in this country. He said he's going to fix all of them. So we'll see how that goes. I'm not too optimistic about it. Fox News is being nasty. You know, I got the chyron on the bottom of the screen. Harris edging closer to President Trump in a new poll. I don't really believe it. Neither should you. But yeah, you know, there was no send off. There was no swan song. And it's not like Joe Biden is going to formally address the nation and saying goodbye in any kind of length or extent when he's done with his term because he can't anymore. So this was the best they could do and the best they could give us. It's really sad to see. I don't want to say how he's been treated, but how they quickly disposed of him. And you know, Donald Trump was just like laying him out there on true social the whole time. He had one that said like, man, did you? He had like a commentary post on his true social account. And then the picture he put was it with the crypt keeper from the crypt. Like that's who Joe Biden was. Joe Biden's performance last night was dismal. And yet the other networks pretended that it was the equivalent of the late great Winston Churchill. But the guy can't even talk all caps fake news. So, you know, that's some of the stuff that Donald Trump was and I think he just put out one out there like, what is he saying? And, you know, this is how the media was going to cover up for it. Scott Jennings, who's been one of the only voices of reason on CNN, he sits on the panel. You might think he's a pro-Trumper. He's more of a moderate. But he's someone that they continue to go onto their panel editions or portions of their show and kind of point out like, what the hell are you guys talking about? Like, when it was coming down to Trump versus Biden, like, they were saying, like, none of this is true. Joe Biden is getting absolutely curb stomped by Donald Trump. He's out maneuvering him. He's out fundraising him. He's out rallying him. The polls all suggest the same. And they continue to bring him back in and provide the commentary. So, I saw he was in right after the speech and we're going to play for you right now. Let's check it out. So odd to me that just a few weeks ago, heck, a few days ago, most Democrats were still looking in a television cameras and saying that this person is up to another four years. I mean, he's obviously running on fumes. They weren't cheap, folks, no matter what the government told you. In fact, I still think it's a legitimate scandal, how they ever arrived at the decision to run again. In the first place, I still think his family and his top staff have a lot of explaining to do. Most of this seemed like a stump speech to me. It seemed like he gave the speech that he always wanted the campaign to be about, which was he wants credit for this record that he thinks is historic and was not getting out of the campaign. I'm still shocked, by the way, at how easy it is to overthrow the president. I mean, I think of this office, I think we all think of this office as being impenetrable. He got 81 million votes in 2020 and then he got 14 million more. But at the end of the day, he was no match for a handful of party bosses who run the Democratic Party. So, look, I'm happy to give him all the grace that he deserves because he's on his way out. But at the end of the day, it really sounds like a bunch of people looked into TV cameras over the last days, weeks and months and told you a lot of things, a lot of things that were not true about this president. I hope he is okay for the next few months, but it was obvious it was time, not tonight, but a while ago. It sounds like he makes all the money he could fill in as a host on this show. And that's the truth. You know, that's the memory holding that goes on in this digital age. Like, they want you to all look at, "Oh, come on, Harry." She's brat summer and all this other bullshit. She wasn't a bad prosecutor. She only put the real criminals in jail. And she wasn't the border star. She was just overseeing, like, the golden triangle countries and trying to find the root causes of why 20 million people have been led into this country under Joe Biden and her watch. Like, this is what they do. And again, we started off today's show with talking about the big one. Donald Trump was almost assassinated less than two weeks ago. And it's already like something that we don't even really talk about as a top headline anymore. And it's just wild, like he said, for as easy as it is to come for a president in an office that he once revered as impenetrable. Now, which just looks like the billionaire donor class and the former politicians who still have more capital than the sitting president of the United States can make it happen in the blink of an eye. Talking about the Obamas, the Clintons, George Clooney, and all his friends, and then the billionaire donors that back them all up, etc. Last one I've got before we jump in with Newsweek's Josh Hammer to talk about all things regarding our top headlines today. Well, you know, it wasn't going to be too long before Donald Trump was able to commentate on it. And he called in Fox, Fox and Friends the morning after to, well, kind of give his take on how presidential Joe Biden's speech sounded. Let's hear it. Just it was terrible. It was like a terrible speech. Then the terrible delivery, he looked like he was having problems. And yet you watch the other networks and you would think he was Ronald Reagan in his prime Winston Churchill in his prime. And he wasn't. It was not good. It was not a good, it was not a good speech. The look, the sound, the voice, everything. And, you know, it's so phony. What's going on? I mean, the press is so, it's so fake. Anybody can see it was a problem. He was, he's a problem demand. Should he stay? I guess that's up to him and it's up to the people. Well, you think, no, he kind of calls it straight. I mean, listen, if there was any nice points, I would have liked to have Joe Biden even say anything about his family, you know, which I thought was weird. These were the people that were essentially like armed guarding the Oval Office and his quest to run for a second term. And, you know, they were defeated by the deep state. He doesn't even pay them an homage in his like, I don't want to say farewell address, but that's essentially what it was. We're going to see very little of Joe Biden between now and then if people think that Joe Biden's going to be crisscrossing the country and showing up at major campaign events with Kamala Harris, he's the reason they're in this situation right now. It's going to cause a lot of divide within the party if they keep him present out, but who knows? I mean, I've seen Stranger Things, but it was just weird the way he went over like policies and then the fake policies of like safe borders and robust economy and cheap medicine, but nothing about any kind of person. The only personal thing he said, you know, a boy from Scranton PA who came from poverty and a stutter now sits in the Oval Office. Well, good for fucking you. But what about like your career achievements or the fact that, you know, your family is sitting right there and you're too scared to look at them because if you mess up on the teleprompter, they're probably all getting mad at you. It's awful. It's so awful. And I'd like to know the mental state of Hunter Biden right now to say the very least. Oh my gosh, those pictures of them on the side of the Oval Office set. It looked like a family that just received the worst news. It looked like a family that was all coincidentally unemployed and were in line at the welfare office. It looked like a family that was sitting in the front row of a funeral, which I got a first-hand look at last week in Arizona. I don't want to make jokes about that, but you know, when you just see the beyond somber and glum nature, the body language, the slump shoulders, the, you know, one leg all the way out, the other leg tucked in, diet coke cans on the floor underneath their chairs in the fucking Oval Office. It's just wild, just wild. And, you know, Joe Biden's legacy is going to be one that is going to be quickly forgotten here based off the fact that Donald Trump is going to bring this country back in a swift manner. It's going to be fought for a long time, but history will look at this as a minor blip in not being the Republic. We promised the rest of the world we would have been. Joe Biden, who read that quote from Benjamin Franklin has probably been the greatest proponent of pushing back on that narrative that we can't keep it under leadership like him and how fast we can lose her if we don't take care of our blessed nation. So we're going to leave it at that right now as we're getting ready to jump in with Josh Hammer. But before we do, a first check in with one of our partners. Hi, this is Beard over at BeardVet Coffee. What's wrong with America today is that Americans are putting convenience over values. We need to start thinking about our dollar as a vote. We need to start using those dollars to support companies that believe in our values and aren't afraid to take a stay at. That's us at BeardVet Coffee. We're not another pretend conservative company that puts a pew pew on the packaging to take a line with our principles. We don't identify as America first. We live America first. We're a vet founded vet focus and obviously period. So if you haven't had a cup of beard that buy a bag, hope us continue to support veteran charities every month. And as we always say, stay at weight, not woke. Use promo code stake for 10% off your order. All right, joining us next on the show today, this big Friday edition of the steak breakfast podcast. He's the host of the Josh Hammer Show. He's also the senior editor at large at Newsweek. Welcome back, Mr. Josh Hammer. Thanks for joining us. Always a pleasure. Thanks for having me. Yeah, since last time we've talked, I thought, you know, RNC is going to be a big love fest and we're going to have all that other good stuff. The media kind of gave us a good shake in the press for about a week, week and a half at the most for fallout from the assassination on President Trump up in Pennsylvania a couple of weeks ago. But here we are back to, you know, business as usual. The Democrats are the greatest thing in the history of things and, you know, Republicans are the ones that really want to destroy this country and are essentially a threat to democracy. So, you know, before we get into any of the things we're going to talk about today, Josh, how have you seen this kind of develop over the course of the last two weeks? It's been an up and down news cycle. I think we had a nice little gust of wind in our back coming out of the RNC. I thought the messaging, the guests line up, the way things every, you know, went smoothly, the selection of the vice presidential pick, etc. You know, it was kind of good for Republicans, but now we've had a little bit of a constitutional crisis at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. And here we are back to business as usual. You know, since the last time you and I talk, my friend, you know, to say the world has has imploded would seemingly be an understatement, if anything. I mean, you know, I mean, I have never lived through a series of news cycles like this in my lifetime. I'm not sure that the American people have endured anything like this, at least since the the tumult and the chaos of 1968 that that will be the closest thing that comes to mind possibly even further back than that. I agree with you that Republicans, conservatives, the right in general seem to have a lot of momentum coming out of Milwaukee. Obviously, Trump has this, this, this natural built-in base of natural human sympathy and support in the aftermath of the near assassination. I mean, we have that iconic photo seen around the world, although it feels like it was a long time ago at this point, just because the news cycle has changed so quickly. But I mean, that all-time historical photo and, you know, kudos to the Republican Party in the RNC for a convention that from afar, I was not there in person, but from afar, looks like an absolute smashing success with the imagery, the theatrics, the pageantry kudos. I mean, hats off. And yes, to your point, there was a lot of momentum. And, you know, the Democrats did something very shrewd, which was, they pulled their bait and switch at the correct time, which was obviously just a few days after the convention was over. Milwaukee to basically try to steal the news cycle. And I think that they've been successful thus far in doing so. The real question now, the real question now, over the next few weeks, especially leading up to their convention in Chicago, is who is going to more dominate the airwaves, who is going to more dominate all the ways that information gets out in today's day of social media and lots of technology and information, and who is going to be able to define Kamala Harris. And JD Vance to an extent as well, you know, he's on the, he's obviously on the Trump ticket now. And I know JD personally, so I don't have any questions, but I think the American people probably have a lot of questions. So, you know, how can the two parties start to define these, these two individuals Kamala Harris and JD Vance? And thus far, the data are mixed, but I will tell you this, I have yet to see really any reliable poll that shows Kamala actually leading. I saw like one poll in Wisconsin that had her up like a point or two with lean errors, but the national polls still seem like Trump is ahead. Most of the swing state polls still show Trump is ahead. If this is her quote unquote bounce before Republicans have really even begun in earnest to define her and frankly just remind people of how unpopular and far left she is, then I think that ultimately they will be in okay shape. I completely agree with you. It's just going to take your foot to the floor pedal to the metal between now and November. It is peak season for, you know, the general election cycle and we got to keep our eyes on the prize for every day that they could push a narrative longer and longer. It's just one extra day before we get to early voting. And that's the thing that I've tried to have been, you know, stressing to our listenership. You know, you talked about the bait and switch and I kind of want to get into this a little bit. I mean, obviously Kamala Harris is going to be the nominee outside of anything extraordinary happening, which in this new cycle you still have to take into consideration. But the fact of the matter is, you know, for the party who claims to be historic and transparent and for those who want to save democracy preserve it and then make elections free and fair for everybody, they did the complete opposite in switching this out here. You know, Joe Biden got so many millions of votes in the Democrat primaries. He had about 92, 93 of the electorate all locked up, the delegates, the super delegates, the money, et cetera. And then all of a sudden without a single vote being cast, Kamala Harris now goes through two cycles, gains the VP ship and is the Democrat nominee for president. Seems pretty wild. Doesn't seem, well, besides being historic, not really transparent and doesn't make elections free and fair. Josh, what do you think about, you know, the way that the Democrats kind of forced us on their electorate is take it or leave it? Yeah, where to start? I mean, this is a movement, the modern American left and the Democrat lawfare complex, as I have called it, you know, and this is a broader movement that has sought first initially to try to take Donald Trump off of the ballots. Let's not forget that they tried that with their ludicrous 14th Amendment Section 3 insurrection clause arguments. His argument that he was disqualified from running on the ballot an argument that was defeated at the U.S. Supreme Court nine to zero, not even Katanji Brown Jackson or Sonia Sonomura was buying that one. While simultaneously, while trying to deprive him of the ballot, which by the way, need I remind the listeners is the most quintessentially and profoundly undemocratic, anti-democratic movement in the history of democratic politics, you're literally saying that the people cannot decide. So it literally does not get more anti-democratic than trying to remove him from the freaking ballot. And simultaneously, while they were trying that, we all know all the various prosecution cases. They're trying to throw him in jail to bankrupt him, this Tish James civil fraud case while they're trying to throw him in jail in New York, Georgia, Washington DC, you name it. All of this is some of the most anti-democratic politics you can ever imagine and the sheer hotspot of these people to try to look into the camera with a straight face and say that they are actually the defenders of capital or capital democracy trademark side. While they are simultaneously pulling off stunts like this is disgusting. I mean, it's not just ludicrous. It's actually disgusting. It ought to be an insult to the intelligence of any American who has more than one brain cell operating between the two years. And to make matters even worse, as you alluded to, the Democrats back in their primary, they essentially strong armed any viable primary challenger against Joe Biden. They essentially coaxed or quares them from actually getting into the primary. That's why you had only these two symbolic challengers, Marion Williamson and Dean Phillips, neither of whom had an Iota of support from the DNC, from the Democratic party at a national level. They basically strong armed all of them into not running. And that's how you get 14 million voters who turn out to vote for Biden in the primaries. And then all of a sudden, what happens? Well, a bad debate happens. And then the full apparatus goes to pull. I mean, all of this is just the most anti-democratic stuff imaginable. And as I said, it is just insulting to the voters. It is truly, truly insulting to the voters. I ultimately don't think it's going to work out well for them. I am of the opinion, perhaps it's a minority one, but I am actually of the opinion that Democrats would have been better off, frankly, trying to limp across the finish line with Joe Biden rather than to change horses midstream to this horrifically unpopular DEI center from California. No, you make a lot of great points. And I agree with you. I think this is going to wind up blowing up in their face. Won't be as clean and as neat as we like it. It should be cut and dry about how bad of a candidate she is, not just based off of her historical records or how she rose to prominence within the party. It's what she did as a state senator out of California. And then the obscurity she's had as the vice president, it seems like they've literally have sent her off to the farthest parts of the globe to just make bad sound bite after bad sound bite. In addition to some of the god awful interviews that she's done over the years since she's took over. Plus, there are the reports that she hasn't been able to keep major staff on her team since she became the vice president of the United States that her and Joe Biden's offices had a huge divide before they kind of came together around this. But as she's looking now to round out her ticket in the next couple of weeks, who are some of the contenders here? I mean, I know some of the ones that the major accounts are talking about, the Markely's, the Josh Appearos. But who are the other ones that you see as dark horses and who do you think have potentially rounded out for Kamala Harris? Well, so Markely actually was my very first prediction. As soon as I heard that Joe Biden was not running and that Kamala will be the presumptive nominee, Markely was literally the very first person who came to mind for me because, look, Kamala is obviously a very far left figure and Democrats might try to retcon and gaslight and bamboozle make us forget that. But there's only so much they can run from it when she's literally there on camera saying all this crazy crap. I mean, you can go back to her utterly fail 2020 primary run where she tried to stake out essentially a Bernie Sanders, Liz Warren, ask far left planks. She came out in support of the Green New Deal. She wanted to make a legal immigration, not a national crime, but just a civil slap on the wrist. She supported a ban on national fracking, a ban on national offshore drilling. I did crazy stuff. I mean, she wanted to abolish private health insurance, universal socialized medicine. I could go on here. She took very far left stances in that particular primary. And in order to try to appeal to anyone other than the crazy wing of their party, they want someone who maybe not even substantively, but at least aesthetically and rhetorically might try to appeal to center left or center voters. And Markely is not a moderate. He's a pretty liberal guy, actually. But he at least kind of gives off the mystique in the aura of being something of a centrist as to really all the other contenders on the short list from what I can tell. Andy Bashir of Kentucky comes from a Red State Kentucky, Roy Cooper in North Carolina, Josh Imperial Pennsylvania. None of these guys are particularly moderate. I mean, to be a major figure in today's Democratic Party, we're talking here just degrees of liberal versus far left. And none of them are moderate figures. But yeah, these definitely are more moderate figures than Ilhan Omar or AOC, for instance. Pete Buttigieg's name is getting floated around there. I can't imagine they would possibly do that. Dude has just been the absolute worst transportation secretary in the entire history of that not particularly illustrious department. I mean, we've literally had supply chain crises. We've had airlines shutting down. I mean, he's been absolutely horrific at that job. So my prediction continues to be Mark Kelly. Josh Shapiro is getting talked about a lot. The reality is, I think you and I both know, is that this is a disgusting thing to say. But literally having the last name Shapiro is probably problematic in today's modern Democratic Party. I think putting him on there might potentially win over some voters in Pennsylvania, his home stay where he's still fairly popular. But you're going to alienate a lot of the Hamas wing of the Democratic Party in places like Dearborn Michigan as well. No, agreed. And it's sad to say that we're still a country that's at that kind. But I mean, since what happened on October 7th, you've seen it on steroids here, at least in the United States, as much as we did, you know, even when what I want to talk about next, Josh, is what we're going to segue to. So, you know, BB Netanyahu was up in Washington, DC this week. He spoke yesterday before a joint session of the House and the Senate. I thought it was a very powerful speech. I thought it confirmed a lot of things that we've, you know, heard not only since the war started, but what he has potentially the optimism he still holds for the relationship, partnership, friendship, and alliance with the United States. I kind of want to get your commentary on, you know, how you thought it was received that there obviously was some not so great takes yesterday, Rashida Talib being the probably the one that was seen on TV the most. But, you know, when you see the protesters outside of the Capitol, when you see the property destruction that happened in Washington, DC, the burning of the American flags and things of that nature, it says a lot for where we're at as a nation right now. But, but I think, you know, for the opportunity that he had to come and address, not only just the Senate and the House, but the American people, I thought he made the case for the job that he's doing. Yeah, you know, the timing of this was funny, because I actually was in Washington, DC myself this week. I wasn't able to attend the speech, but I was there to speak for YAFT and the America's Foundation actually on this very topic. I was speaking on U.S. Israel relations and foreign policy realism and Abraham Accords and all this stuff in general. So it was kind of funny to just be there. And look, one thing that next Netanyahu said in the speech that I think really resonated with me and it ought to resonate with everyone listening who's paying even a slightest attention is when he says, "Our enemies are your enemies. Our victory is your victory." And, you know, could you have a starker example of this than people spray-painting Hamas is coming on a statue outside Union Station in DC just a few hundred yards away and then literally burning the American flag and then taking down the American flag from the statue and hoisting the terrorist flag of the PLO, the Palestine Liberation Organization. I mean, these idiots, these utter loathsome pretense, these vile scum that literally proving in real time exactly what Netanyahu is saying inside that chamber. And I do think he was a good speech. Netanyahu said a lot of his childhood in the United States. He speaks English just fluently probably as he even speaks Hebrew. So, you know, that's a real blessing, frankly, to have a foreign leader who can kind of speak our language quite literally and metaphorically as well as Americans can. He gives very good speeches. Prime Minister Netanyahu gives very good speeches, obviously. You know, the question is, you know, there was a lot of bipartisan applause lines there in the chamber, which I was very encouraged to hear given how kind of a rock this issue has become. It was nice to see so much bipartisan applause. I guess the question is, how much did it resonate beyond that chamber to the American public at large? Because as you and I discussed earlier, this new cycle is just so utterly insane that I hope that it was able to break through the fog because it's still a very important issue and I hope that Americans are still paying at least some attention to it. No, so do I. I mean, it's something that, you know, they have to finish the task at hand. They have to complete their mission and objectives for their people, not just for security and safety for the people of Israel, but like he stressed so hard their enemies and our enemies in that speech yesterday. I mean, listen, Donald Trump, when he killed Soleimani, that didn't have as much to do with, you know, the fact that that was an Iranian general more than it did for the international network of terror that he had across the region and across the world. He was killing Israelis. He was killing many of the coalition allied forces in the Middle East in Iraq and Afghanistan, which were still stationed there, etc. And it kind of sent a message to the regime and Iran that this behavior will no longer be tolerated. I think they saw such absolute weakness and over the course of the last nearly four years in the Biden administration. They shot their shot and it just happened to be a really successful operation from their vantage point. But it's going to be one that I think essentially puts Hamas decades back in their ability to commit terror by the time this is all said and done. And Josh, you know, continuing on with this threat here, you know, Benjamin and Yahoo is at Mar-a-Lago right now having lunch and doing kind of like a joint presser and then behind closed door meeting with President Trump. It's becoming more common for these state figures to come into Washington DC and go through the formality of meeting with Joe Biden and now Kamala Harris, but making their way down to Florida or up to Bedminster to talk with Donald Trump before they head back to their country of origin. I think that's kind of setting an unprecedented standard for the way, you know, the world is expecting Donald Trump to win in November. But when you see that relationship, which saw so many beneficial factors come out, not just for the people of Israel, but for Jews all over the world during Donald Trump's first term in office, it seems good that they're getting back, at least, you know, figuratively on the same page, hopefully to literally do more of the collaborative efforts they had come January of next year. Yeah, you know, look, it's interesting. So Prime Minister Netanyahu, Prime Minister Victor Orban of Hungary, you know, a number of folks kind of visiting either Mar-a-Lago or Bedminster, you know, part of that is just due to the fact that we haven't had a former president seek the presidency again in a very long time, right? Good point. I mean, probably since Teddy Roosevelt from the mistake in 1912, it's been a long time. So, you know, part of that is probably just that. But part of it is probably what you're saying, too, is that there's a very, very good chance. I'm not going to guarantee it, obviously, but there's a solid chance of nothing else that that Donald Trump is the next president of the United States. And to your substantive point, which is a crucial one and one that I stressed all week long in my lectures for the college students there at the YAF conference, is that the Trump Netanyahu foreign policy doctrine didn't just change, you know, things for the Jews or for Israel. It really kind of changed the entire region. And by extension, the world actually, you know, I'll kind of just briefly explain why. So for about a half century, foreign policy thinkers on both sides of the American foreign policy establishment on the left and the right, they had this conception of the so-called Palestinian veto whereby you cannot seek Israel's broader normalization into the region unless the Palestinians were okay with it. If they vetoed it, essentially, then you would not get new peace deals. This was kind of the so-called inside-out approach to peace whereby you would start with Israel Palestinian peace and only then Israel can get peace with the Arab countries. The genius of the Trump Netanyahu doctrine was to literally reverse that and turn on its head and try to go for the outside in approach whereby they would embolden Israel, embolden our moderate Sunni Arab allies, places like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, get them to make peace with each other in what Netanyahu referred to as this Abraham alliance. And only then you can ideally convince the Palestinians that Israel's not going anywhere. They're part of this grand Iranian containment alliance. And then maybe you might be able to get peace. And sure enough, the fruits of that effort, you know, they call Netanyahu and Trump these warmongers fascist, you know, the fruits of their effort were the most transformative piece and the quietest Middle East we've had in entire multiple generations. So it's extraordinarily important that Trump and Netanyahu get back on the same page. It looks like they're having a jolly old time in Mar-a-Lago, which makes me personally very happy because we need the two of them on the same page. God willing when Trump returns to the White House come January 25. No, it's a it's but you know, a lot of people who hear about the Abrahams accord is it just informalized travel and trade between the countries. It set a new standard of ideological, you know, viewership going forward that, you know, things that people hypothesize would never or could never happen started to actually bloom during Donald Trump's first term in office. There is a lot of potentiality for it to move in a lot greater direction in a second Trump term in office. And I think that's kind of what you alluded to, Josh. And again, you know, it's it's stuff that we have as a country. And we're getting ready to formulate those opinions that are going to drive our votes in November absolutely have to think about, you know, foreign relations and the lack of them that we have our loss of global footing over the course of the last nearly four plus years is some of the worst that this country has ever endured. And there's a quick way to get back to it. You know, when you when you even have people like Vladimir Zelensky reaching out and saying that he's going to have a phone conference with Donald Trump over the course of the last couple weeks as well, it says some really big things. He knows that the party is over. And he knows that that conflict needs to come to an end not only just regionally, because the only person getting fat off of this is Russia and all of its allies. But you know, we shouldn't have these forever wars happening ones that involve the United States or ones happening all across the globe, as we see in the case now with Ukraine and Russia and even Israel with all of their Middle East, you know, adversaries. So I think we're going to leave it at that, Josh, this has been great catching up with you today. As always, such a lot for our listenership to unpack really appreciate when you come on and give us these tidbits to go and, you know, continue to develop and talk about on the show as well. We've got live links to your two podcasts, the Josh Hammer Show and America on trial with Josh Hammer live link in the show description today, also links to your bio page at Newsweek. Anybody that wants to check out on social media, where can they find you? Yeah. Thanks always for having me. Love the conversation. So I'm on Twitter at Josh_Hammer Instagram is Josh B. Hammer. And then I also write a weekly syndicated column as well. Well, we'll be looking to catch up with you again really soon. This is the senior editor at large at Newsweek in the host of the Josh Hammer Show amongst a lot of other things he's doing for America first. Josh Hammer, thanks for joining us today. So have a great weekend. You too. Thank you. As you know, three days ago, we officially defeated the worst president in the history of our country, Crooked Joe Biden. He quit because he was losing so badly in the polls. He was down in every single poll and down by a lot. So he quit. But really what happened was the leaders of the Democrat party in a very undemocratic move. The bosses, they said, either you get out or we're going to throw you out using the 25th amendment. That's what happened. You know that. So well, you know that. That's what happens. That's what happens. He's a nasty people, the Democrats. So we better beat them or we're not going to have a country left. You're not going to have a country left. So now we have a new victim to defeat. Lyon Kamala Harris, Lyon, L Y I N, apostrophe. A new victim to defeat as we jump back into the news portion of our show here. Great. As always, catching up with Josh Hammer, getting his perspective on things as he headlines two major podcasts across the country, in addition to his op-eds that come out through Newsweek, and he's got his finger on the pulse of everything, MAGA, or at least he has for the last several months. Donald Trump held a rally down in Charlotte, North Carolina this week at the Bojangles Center. There's a Bojangles Center? Certainly is. Nice. Packed to the gills over 10k, standing room only. And for the first time in this election cycle, we saw the news cameras pan out and show that even the upper rings, which normally aren't seated during events where they have spectators on the floor, were completely packed to the rafters. So it was a strong showing of America first and Donald Trump coming out of the weekend following the Republican National Convention and the completion of the coup, which happened at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. You know, one of the things that's going to be key, and I'm talking to all of us, you don't have to worry about it with Donald Trump, is that we can't play nice with these people. You know, for the little bit of grace that they showed in the wake of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump's life, in the press, it's over. Kamala Harris is the greatest thing in the history of things. She's black, she's Indian, she's Asian, she's everything. You name it, she is it. And for as much as Joe Biden like to invoke every race, religion, color, and creed that he potentially was as a child growing up, everything from, you know, Greek and Puerto Rican to Irish Italian, civil rights activist, airplane pilot, a million miles traveled on Amtrak, etc. Kamala Harris really can get more of a push to do those things just based off the color of her skin and gender. Because it's harder to push back on those things, not for Donald Trump, though, can't play nice with these people. And that's one of the things that he was stressing to kick off this rally. It's here. For three and a half years, lion Kamala Harris has been the ultra liberal driving force behind every single Biden catastrophe. She is a radical left lunatic who will destroy our country if she ever gets the chance to get into office, we're not going to let that happen. You know, I was supposed to be nice. They say something happened to me when I got shot, I became nice. And when you're dealing with these people, they're very dangerous people, when you're dealing with them, you can't be too nice. You really can't be. So if you don't mind, I'm not going to be nice. Is that okay? A lot better be nice. Listen, you want to talk about threats of democracy and I'll just give you like my perspective on it right now. We all think that God made have chosen Donald Trump to do something bigger and greater when he essentially spared his life two weeks ago up in Butler, Pennsylvania. If we make it through November here, no, Donald Trump will essentially be the first president ever to stop two radical progressive females from getting their hands on the Oval Office in the nuclear codes. Wow, that's a good point. It certainly is. You want to talk about divine intervention? I mean, there's something going on there with Donald Trump. I don't know what it is, but it seemed like Donald Trump really wanted to let America First know how hard he was going to hammer Kamala Harris coming out of the blocks here. And once it was made official that she is now the presumptive nominee, now that they've agreed behind closed doors that she has enough delegates. And even though the convention isn't until the middle of August, the first week of August, they're going to have that digital roll call and kind of seal it up for again all perfectly historic and transparent. And everyone should be able to get to vote on it by the time it's all said and done. Suckers. One of the things that Trump team definitely wants to pin on her is her border. Sorry chip. There it goes. And her caretaking or lack thereof of the border crisis, which has been facilitated by Joe Biden and Alejandro Mayorkas. I guess now in conjunction with her as the vice president. And he was starting off the early points of his rally, talking about the largest deportation operation, who he needs to do or what he needs to do to get it done. And then right back on Kamala Harris, let's hear it. Earlier this year, a 15 year old girl in Massachusetts was raped by a migrant who Biden and Harris flew into the United States against all orders. In upstate New York two months ago, another 15 year old girl was attacked by an illegal alien that just walked into our country assaulted with a metal pipe abducted, driven to an isolated area, raped and killed. And in Texas last month, 12 year old, Jocelyn Nungari was tied up sexually assaulted and strangled to death by two illegal aliens who Biden and Harris released into the United States and refused to get them out. What kind of a vice president or what kind of a borders are allows these monsters to come into our country. And this is just a small portion. These people are here now by the hundreds of thousands. And remember this, it's like anything else. They're just getting comfortable. They've just gotten here a little while ago. So you haven't seen the kind of crime that's going to be inflicted on our country. It's a great point. Just getting comfortable. They're getting used to being here. They don't know about the words politically correct yet when you catch them and you do nothing and then you catch them again and do nothing. They don't know. The only time they do something, if it happens to be Trump, because he talks about how the rigged election was a disgrace. Oh, he should get the electric chair because he said the election was rigged. But if you rape and kill somebody and strangle them and dump them in a creek, that's okay with these people because they're crazy. And we don't want these people running our country anymore. You have to be able to put a personal spin like that on these tragedies. What kind of personalize innocent American girls to be raped and murdered while keeping our border wide open? Never change it. Never change it. You know, they passed for the election about two weeks ago, they passed something that's meaningless. It's absolutely meaningless. But you know that, Brandon, they said they passed some nonsense so that they could have a new word having a news conference. It actually made it worse. Talking about the EO. It made it worse. It's horrible. Kamala's deadly destruction of America's borders is completely and totally disqualifying. She shouldn't be allowed to run for president what she's done. She's committing crimes. No person who deliberately lets these kind of savage criminals into America should ever be trusted with power again, should ever be trusted to be the president of our country. Good point. And one that I hope more Americans are taken into consideration because, you know, it's not just whatever her title was over the border. You know, I've got the clip pulled where they had the press conference, albeit behind masks and Joe Biden tasked her with figuring out the root causes of illegal immigration and stuff like that. You know, Kamala Harris has been talking about since she ran for president back in 2019, abolishing ICE and even compared members of, you know, task force that would go in and clean violent illegal alien criminals out of our community to the KKK. Let's hear it. Lion Kamala supported abolishing ICE. She compared ICE agents to members of the KKK. Can you believe it? It's so disrespectful. And these guys, these people are great. I've seen them and I've seen tapes of them and they go into a pack of MS-13 killers out in Long Island and they walk into that pack and all you see is fists of flying left and right. Two minutes later, they walk out and they've got them by the legs and they throw them into a patty wagon and we take them the hell out of our country and she wants to get rid of them. Kamala voted in favor of deadly sanctuary city. She supports the criminalizing illegal border crossings and she supports mass amnesty for all the legals. Think of that. Everybody coming in right now and many of these people are coming out of the prisons and the mental institutions. They're going to get amnesty. She wants everybody to have amnesty. Then Joe Biden made her the borders are and that's when it really got bad. She launched a colossal illegal alien invasion of a country. She said, come on in. Remember? You want to know what? There's a lot of people who are frustrated that I see Pungentree online and on cable news saying, you know, it doesn't seem like the Trump team who's been ahead of everything was as prepared for Kamala Harris to be installed as the nominee as they have been through with a lot of other major occurrences on this campaign cycle. Well, that's not the case for Donald Trump himself and for someone who's putting himself out there so many different times, I believe, you know, there was Butler, Pennsylvania, then there was the RNC, then there was a rally on the Saturday following. There's a rally earlier this week and now this rally, which we're covering, I believe he has a rally scheduled this weekend and he's delivering remarks on his visit with Benjamin Netanyahu today. Donald Trump is out there doing what he needs to do. He's called into Fox News several times. I believe he's been on Newsmax once this week. He did a podcast with, you know, a major golf personality and he's doing the things he needs to do. I don't think people understand the tens of millions of dollars that go into like marketing, messaging, merchandise, et cetera in you go home on Friday afternoon after work and then you come in Monday and everything of the field has changed. So there is a little bit of they want to get this right and they want the messaging to hit where it needs to hit and that's on Kamala Harris's record both as a senator and as the vice president of the United States and they want to tie her to every single bad thing that Joe Biden has done as president of this country. It's going to take a minute to kind of recalibrate here. But when it comes to Donald Trump, it sounds like he was more than prepared and he had a lot of ammo and specific instances, you know, in regards to specific things that he wanted to hit her on. Borders are a bullish ice bad record on crime and then every single one of Joe Biden's failed policies present in the United States. And that's another thing. You know, people are going to tell you that Kamala Harris was tough on crime when she wasn't. She was tough on African Americans and put them in jail way longer. Then they needed to be for crimes, which right now if they were committed in the United States, you probably wouldn't even get took to the station to get processed. They wouldn't waste their time or money because before the ink dried, you'd be out on no cash bail. But you have to be able to, you know, take into consideration. She did a lot of things to gain political capital and it came at the expense of everyday Americans. Let's check it out. She's running for president. Kamala is suddenly trying to transform her personality to pretend she is tough on crime. She's so bad on crime. In fact, Kamala Harris was the original Marxist district attorney. She was the first of them, you know, you hear about him in Philadelphia and Los Angeles. She was the first, she was worse than any of them. She supports ending cash bail nationwide. She wants no bail. If you murder somebody, just go home and relax, murder a couple of other people, which means releasing violent criminals immediately after a rush. She supports stripping police officers of legal protections, ending jail sentences for parole violators. And in 2020, she helped raise $35 million to bail out criminals released from jail after they shot at our police, looted stores, sexually assaulted innocent victims and committed many other very serious crimes. She was giving them money and bailing them out. And that was during the infamous summer of love as we can all remember. You know, Donald Trump picked up a couple endorsements at this speech in North Carolina this week. Most notable, the national association of police organizations who had their president there. You know, Donald Trump is the law and order candidate, came in with the endorsement. And Donald Trump had some guests on stage two, border patrol union chief Brandon Judd was there. You know, he came out immediately against Joe Biden's open border policies when he was talking about at his, I guess, farewell address that they have the safest and most secure border possible that Kamala Harris did a great job as the borders are, even though technically they want to say she wasn't the borders are. And you know, Brandon Judd had a message for those in attendance as legal aliens are a huge problem in North Carolina, not only with the crime and how they're affecting the economy, but in the workforce and all the jobs under the table that they're making money off of that are taking jobs away from hardworking Americans. Let's check it out. Under Donald Trump, we had fewer criminal aliens under Donald Trump. Like he said in 2019, zero known terrorists. That number has jumped up more than a hundred percent under Joe Biden, a hundred percent. Yeah. Yeah, that's what we're seeing right now. This was amazing. It was all about policy. October 7th, 2016, the day of Access Hollywood, come on, locker talk seriously. And they thought that that was going to bring him down. We did a press conference with Donald Trump, October 7th, 2016, because it was about policy. That's what it's about. If we have proper policy, we can secure the border and we can keep your children, your grandchildren, your great grandchildren safe. He can do that. He can do it. They refuse. Kamala Harris knows what she needs to do. I was there. I gave her all of the policies that she needed, all of them, and she refused to implement them. She does not care about you. She does not care about the safety of this country. He does. This is the man for the presidency. Thank you. Wow. That was great. Thank you, Brandon. You know, and Noah, I think it's great when the actual people who work on the ground can get a national platform, like on stage at Trump rally, and give those numbers out that completely contradict those at the moment, scared you're giving out. And, you know, because he's the president of the National Border Patrol Council in Union, he has protections to where, you know, they can't just go and fire him for telling the truth. So he continues to do so and points out to the highest levels, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, that they were given the policies, which were most successful in keeping our country safe under Donald Trump and how fast Joe Biden raised them and Kamala Harris refused to implement them back when we saw this border crisis was going to be, you'll probably agree, no, this is probably worse than even you thought at the beginning. Yeah, it's, it's, I didn't think that it was going to continue at the pace that it's going for as long as it did. Now, I understand that they've been obfuscating exactly what's happening with, you know, lying with statistics and, you know, cooking the books and all that kind of shit. Yeah. Just the fact that it's gotten to the point where literally normal people are seeing it. It used to be like, okay, you live in San Diego, you live in Arizona, you live in, you know, Texas or wherever, like you see it. But now it's everywhere, roving bands of people, speaking languages you've never heard of, crazy shit like that. I mean, not that that's crazy, but people aren't used to being exposed to that. No, and I don't know if other people in our listenership could attest, but you know, I sat down, I had a couple conversations with my brother about politics over the course of the last week when I was back in Arizona for, you know, my sister funeral. And he travels extensively for work. Major cities all over the country, like he'll start off the beginning of the week on the east coast. He'll wind up in the Midwest. He'll bounce to two or three other major cities. He'll go to his office hub, which I believe is in Colorado and then be back in Florida by the time the weekend hits. And it's like, he's telling me not only are these people all over the airports, but every flight he gets on for work. If there's empty seats, they're just filling them up with migrants on every single flight. And every single flight that he's on, there is no empty chairs because they wait till the plane is completely boarded and then they'll bring on people with the little envelopes that don't speak English and are brought on by, you know, TSA and security to be seated on these planes and flown all over the country. It doesn't matter where he's going. He said that there's people, illegal aliens that are getting put on every single flight that he's on. And it's just wild to see, you know, the way that these people have been deposited all over our country and the methodology used, which is essentially no screen. We don't know if these people are sick. We don't know if these people are criminals. All of these people which have committed these horrific crimes across our country at some point receive that service. And, you know, the most recent one that Donald Trump alluded to in the clip we played earlier in this segment, this is a person who was removed, deported under Donald Trump and sent back to his country of origin. It was not Mexico. And Joe Biden and Alejandro Mayorkas and now Kamala Harris are reaching out to these illegal aliens back in their home countries and saying like, Hey, we know you got deported under Donald Trump. We didn't think that that was fair. Can we please fly you back to the United States? This is literally happening right now. It is ridiculous. It is ridiculous. Let the past be the past. Like they can apply remotely with CBP one if they think that they've been fucking given the short end of the stick or whatever these monsters have been let back into the country simply out of spite. And it has caused every migrant crime and Kamala Harris migrant crime is a preventable one is a US citizen, a daughter, a son, a husband, a wife, etc that didn't have to die. And it's just wild the way to see that, you know, this administration is going to try and make America think like this didn't happen for the last three years. So we'll have to see where it's at. But, you know, Donald Trump was definitely, you know, hammering on the message of crime and illegal aliens in this country and he brought the people, the president of the national police organizations and Brandon Judd with him to help deliver the message for him. Lion Kamala seems to be at this point the name that Donald Trump has selected for his now challenger in the fight for the White House. I don't hate it. I think there's some other good ones. Noah, you kind of prefer Kacala. I don't know. I think that one might be over the line for Trump to use. Not that it is over the line. I just think it wouldn't be as receptive. It is a lion Kamala's not like, I don't know, Kamala. Again, whoever sent me that Kamala Horace to my inbox, that made me laugh. I actually thought that was a funny one. But you know, listen, if Kamala Harris, will lie to you about her record and she lied about the cover up in Joe Biden's health, then what won't she lie about? Donald Trump was hitting on that, let's hear it. If Kamala will lie to you so brazenly about Joe Biden's mental incapacity, then she will lie to you about anything. She can never ever be trusted. She can't be trusted. And just like crooked Joe Biden, Kamala Harris is unfit to lead. She's unfit to lead. She'll destroy our country in a year. This country will be destroyed. A vote for Kamala is a vote for four more years of dishonesty, incompetence, weakness, and failure. Other than that, she's doing an excellent job. A vote for Trump Vance. How do you like it? I think they like it. JD Vance, how do you like them? A vote for Trump Vance administration is a vote to restore leadership, competence, common sense, and strength back to the Oval Office like we had it, just three and a half years ago. If Kamala Harris gets in, she would be the most radical, far-left extremist ever to occupy the White House times then. There's never been a lunatic like this in the White House, and we've had some bad ones. But the worst one is Joe, actually. Still got to take those parting shots at Joe. But it's true, if you look at her record, the legislation she's pushed none has passed. I believe there was like close to 120 pieces of legislation she did in her four years as a senator from the state of California up on Capitol Hill that she, you know, sponsored and tried to get to the floor. None of them obviously even went to a vote, but some of them, everything, transgender rights, amnesty for illegals, no school choice. You name it, the Green knew everything. I mean, she's bought and paid for by the biggest of the biggest, and they will continue to influence her in the way she shapes her policy and lays out that platform for the American people as part of her campaign. So, you know, I wish there was some more light-hearted moments in this rally. You know, we usually try to play some of the fun stuff last time Donald Trump did a rally over the weekend in Michigan, right? And he was talking about how he told Kim Jong-un to chill. Don't make more nukes. Come to New York and we'll go to a Yankee game. I mean, that's funny. So, you know, it came up, Donald Trump was on the policy talking point of saying no men in women's sports, and then he would always go on to you know, and he does like to try to lift the weights over his head and he does like or when he talks about how the swimmers got in the pool and even though they were underwater, they got windburn by the guy that was lapping them and stuff like that. Well, apparently that doesn't resonate too well at home with the former First Lady. She doesn't think it's very presidential when Donald Trump tries to pretend to push the weights over his head and grunt in front of everybody at the rallies. He actually touched on this and before he got into doing one of those impersonations stopped himself and told the audience why he wasn't going to do it. Let's check it out. And I hate to do it. You know, my wife says it's so unprecedented when you do that. Can you believe so I'm embarrassed? I used to give it a big push, but now I'm embarrassed to do it. She said, darling, your speech was wonderful, but please do stop with the weightlifting in the swimming. It's so unprecedented. You know, she's a class act. But I said, but people like it. People like it. She looked good two weeks ago coming into that arena, right? Melania. Please have class. She certainly did. You talk about the stuff that she's been through in the last year. No, she lost her mother who was a critical and driving force in the Trump home and with the raising of Barron in addition to the fact that she almost lost her husband a couple weeks ago as well in an assassination attempt. I was actually, Noah, you could probably attest to this. I was surprised that she showed up in Wisconsin for the RNC. She needed to be there, but I actually was very surprised that she showed. It's been a tough year for her. Yeah. It's going to continue to be tough. Yeah. And even though she was an international model and had her claim to fame before she married Donald Trump, you know, this has to be... Listen, every person deals with things differently. And when you talk about the extremes and what has happened to her family, I'm not even talking about all the court stuff, but you have to take that into consideration as well. It has been a tough year for the Trumps. And I was very relieved and happy to see her there supporting her husband. And I thought, you know, you couldn't ask for anything more to see them holding cans and letting the balloons drop on them at the end of the closeout of the Republican National Convention last week. So last cut by God, as we always play here on the show, in regards to the rally is the closeout. Let's hear it. And then we'll talk about a little bit of the delivery, even though we didn't get the noises as the weights were pushed over Donald Trump's head that Melania wasn't too happy with him doing that on the road. Together we will make America powerful again. We will make America wealthy again. We will make America strong again. We will make America proud again. We will make America safe again. We will make America free again. And a couple. And we will make America great again. Thank you very much. Thank you. God bless you all. Thank you North Carolina. Thank you very much. All right. No, what do you think? Rate it. I mean, listen, the energy level of this crowd was off the charts again, middle of the week. You got to get in line like in the middle of the day early evening. This was actually counter programming to Joe Biden's Oval Office speech as well, airing at almost the same time. But I'm going to give this 9.2. Noah, what do you think? I'm going to continue to give him no less than 9.5. The man dodged a bullet. He certainly did and so did all of us. Unless his brain breaks like Biden's did and then we'll have to reassess. You know, that'll never happen. I saw Donald Trump do that show with the golf podcast guy the other day. And you know, they had some exclusive video of those two riding in the golf cart and just playing off of each other. And the guy even said and believed in he's like, he can't believe how sharp and hip and dialed into like even the cultural issues when it comes to like music and stuff. Donald Trump is and how important that is. You know, when you're trying to not hide your mental acuity or your physical health with other people. So I think that's one of the things that you know, Donald Trump has really been able to hit home runs on. And I think it's essentially where Joe Biden failed the most. So I've got one more clip before we jump in with Brittany Hopper and Donald Trump called in as part of that commentary after Joe Biden's speech and the Trump rally to talk about the level playing field and how, you know, we can't just accept playing nice with the Democrats, especially when they want to throw another woman out on the ticket against Donald Trump. Let's check it out. I get a kick out of one thing they say, sir, be nice. You just got hit with a bullet. Maybe he's changed. Be nice. And I'd love to be nice, but I'm dealing against real garbage. When you hear that they've weaponized the justice system against me, they've indicted me four times. They've pushed other lawsuits on to me. It's never happened in this country. This is like a third world country, what they've done, a banana republic. Every single court case that I have is pushed on by them. They've taken the justice department, used local DAs and used local attorney generals. Every single case I have, and I just won the big one in Florida that Biden didn't win. What happened to Biden is they called him incompetent. He can run for president, but he's incompetent to represent himself in court. But just so you know, they push all these cases on me. They're the ones that started, and then they say, I'm a prosecutor. He's a criminal. They're the ones every case is started by them. You know, Noah, how fast is that narrative going to be thrown off? I don't really think that the, listen, even the most radical of progressive pronoun bearing, genderless, you know, blue-haired meanies, can't really look themselves in the mirror and say, prosecutor Harris fell in Trump and think that that's something that's going to rip. In this economy, in these unsafe streets, with the world on fire, like that's, that's really what they're going to go with. Yeah. Good luck. I absolutely think you're correct there, and I absolutely love the way. I love four or five o'clock in the morning on the East Coast, Donald Trump, when he calls in to like Fox and Friends. You know, they tell me to be nice with these people, and I just think they're garbage. Just like, don't use any of the good words. Use words like that. Tell America, show America what they are and why. Prison hit out of the park this week. We're going to have speaking events from them to look back on on our Tuesday edition of the show, obviously delivering remarks tonight. I believe he's got to rally this weekend as well. We're getting ready to jump in with Brittany Hopper right now, but before we do another check in with one of our partners. I think it's time we had a conversation about a good night's sleep. All right, joining us next on the show today, this big Friday edition of the Snake for Breakfast podcast. She's a former TV journalist who last worked for CBS News Los Angeles. She's joining us again. Really excited to catch up with Ms. Brittany Hopper. Welcome back to the show. Hey, so happy to be here. Happy Friday to you and lots of stuff to talk about to say the least. Listen, we didn't even get to, I think, emotionally process what happened up in Butler, Pennsylvania a couple weeks ago with President Trump and the assassination attempt on his life. We've seen so many hearings on it already and then the RNC convention happened and I think Republicans kind of came together, widened the tent, expanded the messaging, did a really good job of having the wind at their back coming out and hitting the ground running and then we have the disaster which Joe Biden and him getting switched out as the Democrat presumptive nominee right now. Brittany, I know you follow politics very heavily and I know that you're just as concerned as all Americans are about this upcoming election cycle. When you see the way the news is kind of spun for the last couple weeks, can you give me a little commentary on just how you feel it's all shaken out and what we need to do to kind of process it as fast as it's coming? I mean, look, first and foremost, after being on mainstream media for 18 years, almost two decades, I feel I have the authority to say that mainstream media spins the narrative toward the left and what I mean by that is they're going to spin whatever they possibly can to brainwash the American people so that they think this whole project 2025 that's aligned with Trump even though he's completely come out and denounced it and doesn't even know what it's about. I mean, there's just so many things that they're going to spin. The bandage on his ear, so it was an attempted assassination, guys. Take politics out of it. Why are you even politicizing this? Oh, the bandage is too big or was he even shot? Who gives a shit? It was an attempted assassination. So clearly, the mainstream media is spinning this to a point where if you're not for Trump and if you're just down the middle, they are trying to get every single vote to spin this so that it's against Trump and the Republicans. My question is this, you go around and I do a lot of traveling. I travel all over the world at this point and it's like, you go to different cities in our country, different cities even outside of the country that are liberal run and they are just shitholes. I don't understand their defense in terms of saying, well, Trump will take our democracy away. What democracy will be taken away? Because all I've seen that the Democrats and liberals have done is ruin this country. And I can't even imagine if Kamala Harris comes in, what will potentially happen to this country and our democracy? Well, and that's the next thing I want to talk with you about. So the Deep State got to insert their next candidate. They were done with Joe Biden. They came for their scalps. He wouldn't play along either. Well, not him, probably his family with what they wanted to do, disastrous performance. They're in the debate. And here we are. Now we have presumptive nominee Harris, the party of protecting elections and democracy now inserts a candidate with no votes being cast for her. You know, I think Democrats can only, you know, it's like when you get spoon fed the medicine and it tastes disgusting, but your parents tell you it tastes delicious. So you got to kind of fake a smile. And this is what they're experiencing in real time right now. We know she's one of the least popular political candidates in modern politics. She is a radical progressive with an awful track record. Way more liberal than Biden way more liberal than Biden. And she's young enough and smart enough to be able to carry the messaging of what they want her to promote. And her performance as vice president has been so disastrous that they have literally sent her to every obscure corner of the globe to make bad talking point after bad talking point. I mean, listen, the media shot straight for about five days after Donald Trump was almost assassinated. And I really think that was after a lot of deliberations going on behind closed doors. Like, you know, you can only continue. You got to give the guy a little bit. But now it's right. Anyone who thought because the media turned on Joe Biden, that they were going to continue to do the same thing for Kamala Harris with 100 days before election day is nuts. And they're going to they're going to carry the water for the Democrat party. They're going to make her seem like she's awesome. It doesn't matter how awful her vice presidential pick is. They're going to make him seem legit too. And we've really got to buckle in and dig our heels in and do the work for the next 100 days. Because, you know, if we get a president in Harris, it gets set up to Democrats that have the White House for a very long time to come after that. Well, in our countries doomed. But let me just remind you and your listeners, those first 24 hours after the attempted assassination, mainstream media didn't even come out and say it was an assassinate or an attempted assassination. Correct. You know, their headlines and what they were saying is, oh, something happened at the rally. An incident happened at the rally. So I mean, they were still twisting it even then. Sure. Maybe for 48 hours, 72 hours post the attempted assassination when it came out. They kind of were, you know, not even favoring, but maybe telling a little bit of the truth, so to speak. But then it started getting twisted again, you know, going against Trump and the Republicans and how they do their thing and what they do best. And, you know, let's just not forget here, too. Prior to this, everything going down, it was all about Biden's fine. Biden's fine. Biden's great. Biden's this. Biden's the nominee. Biden's that. And then how easily it's Biden's unfit. Oh, oh, let's twist this. Oh, he's he's the true hero here. He's the American hero now, because, you know, he's stepping aside his ego so that, you know, the Democratic Party can get. Come on. It's all BS. And this is what the liberals do. This is what they do. They cheat and they lie and they spin just to brainwash people. And sadly, people are actually falling for it. And so yeah, you're right. We have to continuously voice our opinion, continuously speak up and speak out. But it's tough. It's tough when you have an entity like mainstream media, who their voices are taking over and they really are spinning all this. The project 2025, for instance, I mean, I can't tell you how many people legitimately think that this is something Trump is really going to implement if he gets elected. And it's a fear factor. He's already said, I mean, he's already denounced it several times. They want it to be like every other talking point they create about him. I mean, Charlottesville comes to mind how many times he denounced it. When you play the full clip, he didn't even need to denounce it because he denounced it in real time. But it went on for years. One that Joe Biden even tried to still use as a talking point in the debate they had last month when he said that's the reason he ran for election back in 2019. I mean, it's complete garbage. And like you said, it's BS. And this is what we're going to be up against. But it's going to be on steroids, especially when the Democrats head into and come out of their national convention next month. So I mean, Brittany, let's talk about the messaging coming out of the RNC then. I think Donald Trump has done a really good job. Listen, for someone who hadn't attempted on his life, less than two weeks ago, the man's been out on the campaign trail. I think he's already done two or three rallies. He's got more schedule throughout the course of this weekend. JD Vance, I said the campaign trail and has done two or three rallies by himself as well. I think if Donald Trump was using some measuring tape in regards to policy and things of that nature when vetting JD Vance, he also needed to know if he could handle the rigorous schedule of his life or a nearly 80 year old man that could go out and do it better than most Americans still to this day. I think it's, you know, Donald Trump has a lot of political capital going on right now. I think the party did a good job of, you know, informing the American people what the other side of the coin has looked like for the last three years and that we could return and get better results on the next Trump administration. But coming out of the RNC, how do you think the messaging hit with the American people and where do you think they need to go from here? So I thought the RNC was one of the best RNC's I've seen. And I think given what had happened just what a week prior, not even, I think that they did their job of uniting the Republican Party. And I think that that was what they wanted to do. And I think they accomplished that. Having my master's degree in clinical psychology and having studied just observing people's behaviors, I will say this. I think that Trump during the RNC, he seemed a bit beaten down, but rightfully so. And I think that that was good for us to see because it made me, it made all of us and so many of us realize that he is human. And you know, he just got shot at and his life was almost taken. So I think what we're seeing now after the RNC, we're seeing him kind of get a little livelier again and getting that, that, that oath back. But again, it just, it just made me realize like he's human. He's human. The RNC, you know, also being Jewish. I mean, you know, there were so many people that they had who set a prayer or a moment of silence for the hostages in Israel for Jerusalem. They had an Harvard student speak about anti-Semitism. You know, they really brought Israel in the front as well of making sure that we're all in this together. So I thought that that was pretty remarkable because I can guarantee you the DNC will not do that. We won't see any prayers for the hostages or a moment of silence or anything like that. And I think that the Jewish people in the Jewish population, they primarily for whatever reason, unbeknownst to me and my family, they vote Democrats for, I don't know why. And this particular election, it is vital that the Jewish people actually come together and vote properly in terms of who's going to have Israel's back and who's not. No, it's an excellent point. And then, you know, as you talk about, well, the Republicans fight to keep Israel on the global stage partnered with us as one of our strongest geopolitical allies. You know, there was a lot of developments over the course of the last 24 hours that I want to get your take on. How do you think Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was received at the joint session of Congress yesterday between the House and Senate up on Capitol Hill? A lot of five-star guests were in attendance as well. Elon Musk comes to mind, etc. And then today, right now, as we're conducting this interview, Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu are having essentially a working lunch and kind of, you know, doing something unprecedented. You have a president who's running on the back end of two election cycles who potentially, you know, and looks like is going to be the next president of the United States. Then you have one of our critical allies and world leaders going down to meet with him when he's not in office. I thought the Prime Minister's speech was remarkable. I thought it was, you know, again, it brought unity. It brought clarity in terms of, you know, we need to beat this terrorist organization. And if they win, America loses. So, you know, type of thing. I mean, because they're not just after the Jews in Israel. The West is next. Americans are next. And so we need to keep that in mind. And, you know, listen, I've been a Republican since I can vote at 18 years old. My parents are Republican. I know what some Republicans and how they feel about Israel. Well, let's stop giving them money. Why are we, you know, dealing with their wars? Why are we doing this? The reality is this. Israel's our only ally in that region. And if we don't maintain a relationship with them, it's so many bad things could potentially happen to us. Not to mention the fact that Israel is so technologically, medically, and militarily advanced and helps America, we must remain close ties to Israel. So I thought that the Prime Minister's speech was great. I think that they're meeting today. I just recently saw how Trump put Shabbat Shalom. The food was amazing. Lunch was so good. You know, that warmth, you can tell that there's an obvious friendship there versus Kamala and the Prime Minister meeting. I don't know. I don't know how any proud Jewish person who feels that that Israel has every right to defend itself could vote in this next election for the Democratic Party. You know, and when you talk about the potentiality of what Donald Trump has to do in his second term in office in regards to making sure that Israel remains safe and secure in the region, he did a pretty damn good job of crushing the Iranian regime without firing a single shot, except the one that took out General Soleimani throughout the course of his first term in office. And then with the Abrahams of course, you know, a lot of people see it and they get just a foreign policy that's based off of trade and travel, but it meant so much more for historically, you know, countries that would never see eye to eye and held such strong disregard for each other to have Donald Trump actually have them formalized relations. It spoke volumes for the region where there was much more peace and there had been in decades, if not longer. And I think when you look at what Donald Trump wants to do as part of cementing his legacy in his second term, it's going to be taking care of a lot of the items that have to deal with Israel, you know, winding up a lot more prosperous than it did, you know, under the course of the last three plus years under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Absolutely. And let me just remind you too, you know, there were a hundred Democratic Congress men and women who did not even attend the prime minister's speech. So I mean, that is the biggest slap in the face as well. Like at least have just the respect, even if you disagree, but they couldn't even they couldn't even do that. So, you know, look, I'm a woman. I have a daughter. Thank God. I'm all foreseen a female president one day. I think that that would be incredible. But I think that this is the wrong choice. And I think that we will absolutely as Americans and as a country itself, we will be doomed if this woman gets into office. It's the absolute truth. And I think we're going to leave it at that. Brittany, it was a great catching up with you today. Always welcome to come on the show and provide some commentary for our listenership.
