Welcome back to the Bent in podcast that nobody asked for. I am Nat. I'm Sam. I'm James. I'm Joe. I'm Bailey. Oh hi, I'm Rosie. Sitting in the corner over there. It's a comfy bean bag. Episode 11, correct? Yes. Season three, episode 11, The Return. Ben encounters several past adversaries now working together to affect the latest spaceship launch at NASA. When I first saw this episode, I cannot tell you the thrill I got when I saw Ghost Freak again. Do you know what's word? When I saw this episode, I don't think I had seen the one when Ghost frequenting it. So I was just like, who the fuck? That guy. Because it happened to be one I'd caught at my cousin's place on Cartoon Network. Oh I see. So when I got this DVD and I was watching it and like at this time I'd seen like a few episodes and that was one of them. Ghost Freak always kind of freaks me out as a kid. Not like, not to the point of like having nightmares or anything just was like the upside-down phase and the design. It's a good design. Well so is this our first two-parter episode or? This is our first two-parter episode. This is our first two-parter. This is our first two-parter. We're doing something special. And that Pikachu face the end of that. That was great. It's just like a weird whitelining around that. It just looked like, it looked like a cut out of Ben placed on like a background with a paper. Oh my God, I just realized what they did. It feels like they looked up Ben 10 shocked face on Google got PNG and dragged over. I just feel like, I just realized I didn't like. They tried it. No, I think they were trying to do a dolly zoom. Oh my God. They've seen them. They have done this. They janked it. They janked this one. It looks so bad. But no, I think they were trying to do dolly zoom. So he kind of stays central or the background stretches. So I think in the tool, they used to cut him out of the background. Someone was just a little bit tired that day. And then he was just, well, maybe it was the last minute edition. And originally ended on a shot of Ghost Shriek. And they were like, oh, let's let's chuck in a shot of Ben before we go to broadcast. Because I couldn't remember how this episode went when they see it. It's like, it was my master's playing. It's like, Vilgex is that? Yeah, I was like, yeah. And then Ghost Break is there. And I'm like, oh yeah, I remember now. How did he communicate with? Yeah, there's a good question. That's an amazing question. Moving on. So maybe we'll find it. I don't know. I don't think we will. We won't. Okay. It's Dr. Victor and Alien. Is that what he is? Yeah. Okay. So what? Michael Dorn. He's voiced by Michael Dorn. Warf from Star Trek. Oh my God. As in, Wild Might has been getting warfed constantly. Yeah, that's been my number one complaint about this. Every time he turns into Wild Might, he'll do one thing and then immediately get thrown or slammed into something and the watch time's out. And he's like, the watch knows that Wild Might is not the best. Okay, listen. Listen, Rick Jaws hasn't even showed up. We had had no Rick Jaws this season. Yeah, I think it's canonical that the watch hates Rick Jaws. We had Ben Mummy, a first show of Ben Mummy, who will be renamed to Snyro in Omniverse. Snyro. Yeah, what there? Who came up with that? Ben Wolf got changed to Blitzwulfur and Ben Mummy got changed to Snyro. I still think, so Blitzwulfur still sounds like a German officer's name and then Snyro just sounds like a weird villain. It sounds like a weapon from Wolfenstein, which I've never played. Which one? Snyro. Oh, Blitzwulfur. Blitzwulfur sounds like you're not. Blitzwulfur sounds like you're gonna find a shotgun that does like incendiary damage. Yeah. This is your, this is your subwoofer talking. Get a new one. Whoa, whoa, whoa. So we had the mummy, the werewolf, the Frankenstein monster, and now we're going to ghost. It's just perfect. It's great. Wolf and Ghostrix weakness is sunlight. Yeah, yeah, some type of vampire creature would be, would be pretty cool. Just funny because we thought that Ghostrix, like Icarus, had flown too close to the sun. Where's the gun? But I put it away. Has he seen? Yeah. He survived. I knew he put it away. I was like, he's going to make the joke again. It's, come on. It's a ghost, Rick. We have to make the joke. I don't think we did. Really? Then we've got heat blast only being twice. Has gray matter only been three times this season? There have only been three times. Yeah. And then the mummy man has also been once. Wow. I am most likely missing stuff. I am very tired. So, he's got... Yeah. Ripjaw with zero. So, he has 12 aliens. Sorry, but he missed it. He missed all the stats. Yes, they're saying. Ripjaw hasn't shown up. Yeah, but the stat is still zero. That is a stat. Can I at least put him that Ben's tried to turn it in? He has twice and both times failed. Yeah, both times the white... It would have been useful for him with the water. Yeah, I'd be like, nah. Yes. So, we've got 10 miners go through plus cannonball. Then wild vine, been mummy, been wolf. Yeah, yeah. Soon to be one day to be known as wolf blitzer and sniro. I don't like those names. It's a terrible name. I just think been wolf and been mummy are so funny. But you have a show up in Ben 10 again. Like, in terms of original series. I think he turns into Ben mummy again at a point in season four. I feel like he showed up at one point in Ultimate Alien and I was really happy about it. And then they're definitely an omniverse because that's where their names come from and their redesigns. We don't want to talk about the aliens from Omniverse though. I think the one that looks like Lego is cool. I think that was made to sell. Is that the real child remake? Yeah. No, no, no, it's not even super child. It's the sequel to all of the alien. Yeah, no, then there's the super child regardless of the full remake. No, I don't like that one of those. No, I hate that Lego one. Yeah, it's got some really cool stuff going on in it. I think it has some cool stuff. I just think that they kind of sold out a bit with the designs of the aliens. I mean, like, we need to sell more toys. That's where... That's how far you can stay on the air. We talked about this. Young Justice was cancelled for a lack of toy sales. I know, but who that was so good. You're going to tell me you're going to buy it. We love that. (laughter) - One of my favorite parts of this episode was watching the dream team of all these monster aliens become such liabilities. (laughter) Because of Victor Frankenstein just being dumb. - Yeah. - What happened? - The wolf, nothing happens to the wolf. - He's chilling on earth. - The wolf goes to my big shore. - He's chilling on earth. - Yeah. - He didn't get blown up. - No, he's chilling on earth. - Yeah, the wolf's just done and makes the girl like. (imitates the wolf) - He's having a vacation. - He was right into this machine. - He didn't know when it blew up. - You mix the coke. - Wait, what did it blow down? - Sorry. - Could we see the one longer? - No, but like, the machine crackled and he looked around and then we saw that wide distance shot of the machine exploding and he was right there. So, you know. - It's like wily coyoting. That thing, he's gonna get up with like a bunch of circle and roll. - He's gonna be like double sign dude. - No one else. - No one like dies. - Ow, ow. Maybe I should trust and work with Grandpa Max and Gwenmore. Like, this has happened so many times and every time's a couple of episodes later, he's like, you know what? Nah, I'm new tricks. Good. - I mean, I feel that's kind of true to life. - I think it's true to his character, 'cause we saw and been 10,000 that he's still like that. He prefers to do all the bidding up himself. - He doesn't want people to help. - And then I want to say, did he actually learn a lesson then? - No. - But he learned to listen and then immediately unleaded. - Yeah. - As usual. - It was still a Ben learns a lesson episode. He just didn't retain the lesson. - Yes. - Well, in the Ben 10,000, he was a lot more moody, you know, like an adult should be. And we probably experienced him. - He's like that one. He's taking like the entire world on his shoulders. He also never turned back into Ben. - Yeah. - Because he had the full control of the all-new tricks. And that's just like, just a little kid thinking he can do everything on his own. - He's so cocky. - And he just doesn't. It's like, ah yeah, I saved you guys, eh? And it's like, no, we saved you. And it's like, ah. - Oh, but did you really? Did you really? - Yes. - Okay. (laughing) - As we found a map where someone had a dotted out every location of the episodes. And it's a map of the United States. And it just goes bouncing back and forth. - Oh, it's a left, a right, a left, a right, a left. - It was like, we went to New York and then California and then San Francisco and then New Mexico. - No, it was just all over the place. - They're then to Florida, then to New Mexico, then back to DC, then back to California. And it's like, that's cool. - How long does it take to get from San Francisco to New York? - It was two days. - Yeah, it was about two days. - Of straight. - 40, 43 hours. - Oh, just on the coast. - Just on the coast. - That's what meant to you. - No, that was California to New York. - That was California New York. - Well, California is the state. - Yeah, I just go in state to state. - Yeah, that is 42 to 43 hours of nonstop driving. - San Francisco. - San Francisco is in California, that's right. - I'm an idiot. - That's why I was, it makes some of it since in the end of a video, get every episode where Uncle Max is just like, can you just be quiet? I'm trying to sleep. He's like, "Yeah, they have toilets into bit." - There's a canonical rewrite of why it's called that an omniverse. - Remind me why? - When they're going back through this, I can't remember the exact one, but I know they gave a reason why it was called the plumbers. - Well, it's like, yeah, getting the filter out of the galaxy. - It was something like that, but it was something else as well, and I think it also has to do with, 'cause the person who tripped down the cherry tree. - Lincoln. - Washington. - It has something to do with them as well, because there's a bunch of time travel in omniverse. - Yeah. - There's a ridiculous amount of time travel. - Time travel would have been even more of a gangster. - Yeah. - I mean, again, we saw him train Prince from once in Quentin. I just wish we saw more of them. - I wanted to see a grandpa max for us. - I want to see a forearms wearing a plow shirt.
