I don't even know what to say this, well, it's been a slow week, but anyway, this is your boy, Piff. And I think another reason I didn't have a potential, 'cause ooh, I cannot. We got some lighthearted topics, but we got to get into some really, really serious business. - Yeah, unfortunately we do, unfortunately. Let's get into it. First things first, Rest in Peace to Sonia Massey. When did this happen, when did this occur? Like last weekend? - Yeah, I wanna say it was last weekend. - I mean, if you know what happened, she had called, she had called the police to tell them that someone broke into her home when police came on scene. They wanted to see her identification, I don't know why they would want that, but they made their way into the home. There was supposedly a pot of boiling water sitting on the stove. Pop demanded she get rid of the boiling water. And then when she, it felt like a set up kind of, 'cause it's like you want me to pour out the water. But as soon as I put my hands onto the boiling water, you draw your guns and tell me to drop it. It's like, if you never brought up the boiling water, I would have never, you know, she would have never went over to touch it. But long story short, she was unjustifiably murdered, assassinated, whatever you want to call it. And you know what? Got out to, I don't know where this took place. If this took place in Illinois somewhere, I forget where, but this piece of shit cop was quickly and swiftly arrested and charged for murder because after watching his partner's body cam footage, yeah, he shouldn't have, he shouldn't have killed this woman. Am I missing anything? No, are you missing anything? No. I mean, I tried to like, I try not to, I know I'm not thorough with the story and I try not to be because that would mean I would have to like really just, just really put my mind on just another tragedy of tragic, unnecessary, unnecessary murder at the hands of, you know, law enforcement. Like too many, like it's just too many times this happens. It's, it's so numbing. It's so numbing. What are you going to say? Well, I was going to say like one thing that was brought up that, that was brought up to the attention of everybody, that the person in question that did the shooting, he was like, oh, several different. And that's one thing I do notice with, with a lot of these police office shootings, even the lesser known ones. It's like, okay, so you have an officer that was like, go of several different departments, right? And one is, one is like whatever, but after like the second one, you would think there'll be more of, because like regular jobs do thorough background checks on everyday civilians. Right. So the fact that you have a profession where people can just do like absurd things, get fired, and then they just get hired in another department. It's like, it's so violent. And this guy, this, this, this piece of shit. I don't even know why it's not even worth saying his name. He's a piece of shit. And I think that, like the amount of complaints this guy had racked up in such a short amount of time as a police officer. And like you said, he was working at several different police departments around, I think in like two different states or someone like that, before, you know, before, before this happened. Yeah. Like, why, why was the, like, why wasn't he able to still have a job is beyond me still, you know? It's like, how was this even allowed? Right. Because again, we're looking at. Again, well, again, because any regular job, like, okay, let's say for conversational sake, you get caught still in at a Walmart, right? You get fired, whatever, whatever. It's not likely that you're going to end up at a target or grocery store or anything for that matter, because you have theft on your record, especially if they decide to prosecute you, depending on the situation. So that makes total sense, you know? Like if you're, like, if you get fired for sexual harassment at work, like people look into that and a lot of jobs won't hire you because of that. Okay. So why is it that being a police officer, you can get complaints, you can get fired, let go, whatever. They look at your resume and just be like, huh, okay. And I mean, and I also get it. There's a lot of this cops are in short demand right now. Like they're in a position where they desperately leave people. I get it. But that doesn't mean you just look past, like a former officers pass, like, and even with new recruits, like if they have some shit on the record, like at what point as a department, do you go sit back and say, huh, maybe this might not be a good choice if we hired this person. All right. So this took play. I had to look it up like where this happened. It took place in Springfield, Illinois. That's like a good three hour drive to Chicago. It's, it's all, it's, it's. It's heartbreaking, man. It's heartbreaking. I feel so bad for her family or friends. It doesn't matter if she was sick. I saw a report saying that she suffered from a. That she was a schizophrenic. It doesn't matter what she was. Like what she was suffering mental wise. It doesn't, it doesn't mean you should lose your life because of it. Exactly. And, and, and this whole, and I love like the brain rock. Cause most of this comes from like racist pieces of shit. Cause they happen with George Floyd, like, you know, like. Cause everybody, everyone. A cop kills, a cop kills somebody. And then you have these, like racist pieces of shit. Try to justify by some means like, like, to bring it up again. George Floyd. The first thing anybody said was, Oh, it wasn't because of the cop had his foot on it. It's like he, he had fit in all in his system. Like, so. That still justify how he was being held down. Like he had his knee on his neck. Like at no point did the cops get up. So even if it was fit at all, like, let's play around with that idea. And even if it was fit at all, why at no point when he said he couldn't breathe, did any of the police officers help him up? Like why he was already in handcuffs. So you already had him detained. But the fact that you didn't like stop to try to get this man, any sort of medical attention is where the problem lies. Like, so it doesn't matter what I hope. But I hope in this case, because the cop that did that, you know, put his foot on his neck, he only got like, what, 24 years? Which, I mean, he should have gotten life. I mean, I hope, I hope in this case, this piece of shit. This piece of shit cop racing gets life. Oh, definitely. And, and that was another thing that was scrolling through the end of that. Like, oh, let me have a boy in a hot water tour or it's a cop. Like, okay, boy in a hot water. Let's go with that. First of all, the cop was at a fair enough distance to wear. Yes. Even if she would have thrown it, it would, you might have had like a couple, you might have got burned like a little bit. Like if it was like, not only, not only that, but what I, but like I said before, he told this, he told her, Hey, can you, can you dump that water in the sink? Like, can you get rid of that? And it's like, what was the point of that? Like, you could have left the ship boiling. Yeah, like you came over, you went over there for the purpose of, Hey, someone broke into my house and it turned into a completely different situation. Like. In a matter of a few minutes, like. Yeah, I don't know. Like nobody, nobody can sit here. Even if you like blue lies matter and all that bullshit. There is no justifiable reason why you couldn't reach out for your taser because as much as it sucks to get 30 degree burns, a lot of times it's not life threatening. And nine times out of 10, you know, you're not going to get it. Most of that water that would have got on you, would have hit your vest, your, your Kevlar vest. You might have got something on your leg, sure you might have got some on your arms. If your arms is exposed, sure. But there's no way you could say like that from that distance that that boiling hot water would have been life threatening. Yeah. If you're right, there is no way. If you give a command to like pour the water out, it's like. That's like saying, okay, even if somebody had a knife, that's like someone saying, Hey, put the knife down, but even I can't even say that scenario because if the water wasn't in her hands initially, then why would you. But as soon as, but as soon as he drew his gun and she drops to the floor saying, I'm sorry. Right. Yeah, that should have. How, how does, how does he expect her to then throw the water from, from her? I'm assuming she was either on her knees or if she was like fully on the ground, we don't know because we don't see it from the. From the body camera footage because there's like a. You know, there's like a high table or in the way. It's, it's like one of them. Yeah, it's like it's like there's a counter in the way. At the end of the day, I'm 100% behind you on this one. This piece of shit needs to be held in hell, even though the death penalty. Fuck it. Fuck it because there's no justifiable reason. And of course, it's just a brain rock that's on the internet or the people that's like with the blue lies matter, you cannot justify this with any like real logic. No, you can't. You can't. You can't. You don't have to like these motherfuckers don't have to stand behind every single police officer in the country that gets involved in something. No. It's a fact that there are bad. There's bad cops roaming around. Like, like in some states. Shit in some states, you need like a high, at least a high school diploma. Or something like in terms of credentials or criteria, you need like, like the most simplistic shit to become a cop. And then pass a written exam and like all easy shit. Anyway, like it's so easy. I was gonna say so easy. A caveman could do it, but you know, it's so easy. Anyone could do it. Like, depending on which state you're in, you know, which city you're in. Yeah, the close to close. Listen, rest in peace to Sonia Massey. We all are hoping and praying that justice is served. Swift. And. I don't know. Yeah. Like, you came in, you came in, you came in, you came and said, you came and asked the question like, when will shit like this stop because it's not going to. It's not. So I kind of stopped asking that. I kind of stopped asking that question. You know, here's a few years ago. I mean, even before George Floyd, I remember specifically who it was, but yeah, this shit just keeps happening like every if you want my honest answer on that I feel like this and I'm going to leave it at this. I hate to sell like a radical is when I say this, but I think we are at the point where we at the point of no return like we got that sure and sure there are good cops out there that's doing a job that's just trying to, you know, keep us safe. You feel like it's so much, it's so flawed like the the whole, the whole setup is so flawed. Even like you said, even before George Floyd, even before all this. The police departments are so flawed that I feel like if they won't be there. It's not even. It's not even really about color either. Because remember, you remember way back with Eric Garner and like going back to 2012, 2013. And for like a few years people were like oh well, there needs to be more black people as officers to stop this shit. Okay, cool. So what happened. What happened last year. What happened? Yeah. Six black officers beat the dog shit out of someone almost kill. I think he actually died. Yeah, they didn't do die. I want to see. Yeah. And this was where in in St. Louis, Missouri, or some places I want to be. Yeah, like six, seven, six, seven black officers beat to death. An unarmed black man. Just. You know. So yeah, like we just at a point where we just need to start policing ourselves like if the police want to be there sure whatever, but we. And there's a lot of issues with that, granted, but I feel like. When it gets to the point where you don't know what to be more scared of the random people out on the streets or the. What type of police officer you're going to get. Right. It's almost like. She should have just not even called for help because. Yeah. Just. Yeah, because I think I think I think the first thing she said when she when when she spoke to the cops was, you know, don't hurt me or whatever, you know. So right there, she wasn't even sure like, ah, should I have called you? Should I just like. You know, just let it rock and and. You know, I don't know, but but rest in peace to her. Miss Sonia. All right, let's let's get to it. You've been. I mean, there's no way to transition from something terrible to, you know, to this, but. You've been you've been wanting to cover this. Cover this for the last couple of weeks. Oh, yeah, I've been waiting. I knew you have been waiting. I have been waiting because hit. And to give, if anybody listens to, I actually want, I actually would like to go first before I let you, because I feel like you've been writing jokes. I was, I have some serious points, but listen, the kitchen's open. If you want to go start first, start first. Yeah, I mean, it's, I mean, for those that don't know, we are talking about. I spices debut. This is her debut, right? This is her debut album, her long awaited album called why to K. With a track list of 10 songs at 23 minutes. Now, when you get that short of runtime, you know, there's going to be like, like nearly every track is going to be like two to two and a half minutes. It's just going to be like just very quick songs, nothing that is, is, is, is going to drag out and whatnot. So, I got to start with the intro. You know what, the intro was not that bad. The intro was not that bad. But is that not a bad intro, not a bad intro. Right. Track two. Okay, this is where the problems start very quickly. Oh shit. Featuring Travis Scott. Surprised that she was able to get Travis Scott on here. Can't imagine how much she paid him to just. I mean, it's Travis Scott, it's Travis Scott, he's going to do what Travis Scott does. You know, if you, if you heard, if you've heard one Travis Scott featured verse, you've heard them all is what I'll say, you know. The hook to this song is okay. I spices versus trash. And like I said, Travis Scott just gives a typical Travis Scott verse, you know, just a real, just a real dime a dozen. So do you feel like he phoned it in? For sure. Whatever he, whatever they paid him. I don't know what his feature fee is. I'm going to say like maybe, let's just say it was like 500 grand or something crazy. And it wasn't worth. Was not worth it. Should have kept that money. Should have kept that money. Track three, forgettable track four with featuring gunna bitch I'm packing. It's the name of the song. Gunna gunna. Listen, he outshined her obviously is no surprise. Again, like the hook was okay. I spice comes with another terrible verse and then gunna on the back end. Just he's floating a bit like he's he's floating on this on this beat. So. And speaking of beats, this entire album, if you notice Pimmed was done by one producer. Yeah, I seen that. This entire, I had to go check this entire album was produced by one producer. Same type of drill, modded tone like it's nearly every song. It was the same kind of drill beat. Okay, I continue track five forgettable track six did it first featuring central C. This might be my, this is actually my favorite song of the entire album. With a runtime of just under two minutes. It's crazy how this song is only not even two minutes long. This, this should have been two and a half minutes at least. I like the beat. The hook is the hook is nice. I spice sounds tolerable. Central C. I mean, even though I can't understand half of the things he's saying, he's floating on here. And then just the rest of it, man, the rest of the, you know, track seven, eight, nine, and then the outro. No, throw it in the trash. Throw it in the fucking trash. So yeah, that that's my, that's my not so in depth breakdown. I've been dying to hear what you got to say. Okay, I mean, we can start off with. So let me get it started off by saying this. Okay, one thing that really pissed me off and I mean, really pissed me off because we grew up in the hip hop era like. Oh, here you go. Here you go sound like an old head. I'm about to cook. This is, this is a fine role. So I'm cooking. So to start off with. It's just. One of my biggest things was, you know, like growing up like. When you're in album mode, you're promoting an album. I mean, you still have it to this day. You know, people are promoting albums and. You know, you're actually hit a freestyle, you know, it's very typical when you're in album mode. You know, some of the best freestyles is like when Jake hold dropped the off season like that one LA lease freestyle classic in my opinion. So she went to. Kai tonight, you know, to do the album thing, of course. She asked her to bust a freestyle. And could you guess what she did next. I actually don't know. I'm just going to, I'm going to guess that she maybe just wrapped. One of her verses from the album. If that was the case, that would actually be embedded in what she actually did. No. Oh, what did she do? I actually don't know. She just started twerking. Wait, no. Wait. Look, look it up on. Wait, did she think that's what a freestyle is? I mean, if that's the case, then the level brain wrap that girl's surface. Oh, God. How is she even in the right? Oh, well, we know how she's in the right. But I mean, oh my God, dude, can't take. You know, that is funny. Hey, bust a freestyle. It says she bust out of twerking. Hold on. I'm sending it to you right now. Oh, my God. I'll watch it later. I believe you. But, um, I just. I don't know. Jesus Christ. I mean, and that one thing just pissed me off to say so much because it's like. You're supposed to be a rapper. Like if your whole thing was just twerk on demand, then. So I'm already like feeling some type of way, but I'm like, okay, so I did listen to the album. And. Oh my God, like this shit was horrendous. Horrendous. Oh boy. What song did you tap out at? Well, you're like, okay, I'm done. I can't. I can't take no more. I mean. So here's what a problem lies. Okay. So. It was like, and you can say like I was being like biased or whatever. But I was as much as I want to see how bad it was. I was also avoided it. It's like when you're a kid. And you know, you got to get a shot. It's like a part of you knows it has to get done. But you still dreading like fuck or like the or are going to school on a Monday. Like, you know, it has to be done. You know, you have to go. And it was funny too, because if this were like, you know, an album that was like over an hour, then yeah, I can understand. But this this shit was only 22 minutes. You know, like. And it doesn't do her no favors that three of the tracks we already unheard. So you have 10 tracks. Three of them was already like, you know, if you're there in your playlist, God knows why you would do that. But yeah. If you already have several of the tracks. Already out there. And I, and his one argument, I, Oh, well, that's the point of a single. Like she's supposed to be out. Okay, cool. You put three singles out. To promote your album. I'm with that. Where my problem comes from is when you only have 10 fucking tracks. So that means not only one of the same and, and, and mind you, the, the fart song. Came out way back in January. You know, like we're in, we're almost in August. So you could have left the fart song off the album. You know, exactly. And it's just like, so we get three songs that we already got. Before. And then now we just get so like seven new tracks from you. It's like, and this is your debut album. Like, this is just a disservice for your so-called fans. Like your fans that actually likes your music. Let's, let's be more Pacific. Like this is a disservice to them because it's like, you just giving them shit that they are already fucking had. Yeah, I mean, in pretty much. A majority of the majority of these songs are just the same drill beats. She's wrapping like the same flow, mata tone. Yeah, I mean, again, the only track I actually kind of liked was the central C song, because the beat is different. And it's not, it's not, I wouldn't consider it a drill beat per se. But, you know, it was different than every other song, which was like all drill, all from the same producer. You know, just, yeah. And, you know, go ahead and then keep going. It's just like, that's another one of my problems. It's like, everything's the same, like we get nothing new. And this is why I knew for a fact that when she announced the album that this was going to be dog shit, because what we got from ice ice does far is pretty much the same fucking shit. And, and I love the excuse like, oh, she's not a target demographic hit. Why rebuttal to that is so if we're not her target audience, regardless of what it is, then who the fuck is her target audience, because I mean, sexy red doesn't seem to have that problem would hit her quote unquote target audience. I don't like that argument because I don't like that argument because if you're in hip hop, and you're working like you have a song with Travis Scott. I'm a track like I like Travis Scott. So clearly, if I see the song which Travis I'm going to listen to it. I'm gonna, I like gonna, you have a song with them too. I'm going to listen to it. You know, so your music is intertwining with artists that I listened to for the most part. So yeah, like, I am gonna, like, like, fuck a demographic, you're working with artists that are from, well, maybe not so gunna but like Travis is my demographic. Yeah. So I don't want to hear that BS, like, I don't want to do that. It's like, it's just a cop out like and I'm sick of people giving artists this cop out. Listen, if you want my overall take on I spy she's been trans for a very, very, very long time. I mean, since the beginning, since the very first time we heard of this girl, the first song, since then, everything has been the same same flow, same rhymes. I'm the shit, my fat ass, my, you know, my body this and, you know, all, it's just the same. Like, the rhyme schemes are so childish like, can I, can I, can I read lyrics to like, to a hook to one of the songs. Uh, BB belt. BB belt. This actually was the song before fart. Okay. Just, just the first couple of lines. Truies on, I got my BB, my, I got, I, I'm sorry, Truies on, and I BB my belt. I miss poopy, but I never smell. That's the, that's the first four lines of the song. So, okay, you have a, you have a poop bar. And then the very next song, thank you the shit fart comes on. So you're giving us like, back to back like poop reference shit references. When I tell you that this girl's comprehension, like writing comprehension is super limited and she's not the only one. There's, there's a lot of other ones that are guilty of this, which is why don't ever listen, don't, don't drop out of school after, you know, finish school. Don't, don't fucking drop out. Otherwise you're going to get fucking such trike and disgusting and mediocre and simple lyrics like this. Like I could, I could have fucking wrapped. I could have, I could have wrapped a better song than I spice. I could have came up with better bars, better metaphors, better similes than, than I spice on this entire record. And she gets outshined by every single person. Travis Scott outshines her, gonna outshines her, central sea outshines her, like she, this girl is not taking this shit. And again, she's not the only one, like this is, this is where, this is where hip-hop is at right now. Practically anybody could get, could come into rap and, you know, no one's going to check them. Like anyone could do it. And that's another one of my issues is just like, where are the gatekeepers? What happened to the hip-hop gatekeepers? Like what are they at? That's what a gatekeeper supposed to be doing, you know? Yeah, I wouldn't know more. No, but instead they want to pick on like the white people, the white, the white rappers, like Jack Harlow. They just want to, they want to pick on him and, you know, hold up, let me, let me just go ahead and just finish the point. Like everything, even, so I didn't go to shout out to the homie once again, South Side Gun. Like he gave his review, but I didn't want to just read his entire review on here like I did. But just to give you what he thinks, he says spoiled chitlins out of tune. That's just to sum it up. I mean, I mean, he probably wrote that before even listening to track one. I mean, he probably had that saved in the draft before pressing play on the album. And again, that's just where how I'm looking at it. Like, that's why I still listened to it because I just wanted to have an unbiased opinion on the shit. But with that being said, this shit was just horrendous. Like if you are an ice spice fan, and you're actually a fan of her music, let me go off by saying I am sorry because this is a disappointment, unless you just suffer from the same or a down syndrome, whatever that maybe I spice suffers from. It's like, there's no way the flows the same, the beats the same. And like you said, everybody that was on that was guest featured on her shit it on her. Like, I know, I know we just said a few minutes ago that, you know, demographic and everything like throw that all out the window. But I, but I think this album is really gravitating towards like teenagers. But again, we, but again, I can't even, it's hard to make that argument, because again, you have ice spice who's relatively young in the game. When we talked about age, right. Okay, cool. You have so many other artists that's in that age bracket that's in her age bracket that not only are gravitating towards the teens, but is going past that. So, like, it's hard for you to say that your target demographic is solely teams. And then, even if that was the case, even if we was going to use that argument. It's just, it's just hard like, when you see I spice anywhere on, on your timeline in any form of media. It's the same shit. Oh, I spice get her ass out. Oh, she's twerking. Oh, she's twerking. And it's like, you don't even put too much focus on the music. And I think that's ultimately what the fucking problem is. Yeah, she could have, she could have made this album in like five days. Yeah, she could, she could have made this album in five days. Like, as much as I want to blame I spice with this, I blame music media. I blame her label for just always like promote her in that light, because again, we see sexy red, and we know her antics. If it was the same stick like sexy red's twerking, follow me. She's twerking. She's like, it will get old real quick. And to be honest, there, there's actually some songs in her repertoire that's got plays for one, two, three, four weeks, regardless of how you feel about regardless of how I feel about it. There's stuff in her repertoire, same thing with color really, it's like there's no fucking way that you're going to even categorize this person as any sort of artist in any shape or form. When you have people that came out around the same time as she did and it's starting to run laps around her. So, this now is what my, because Meg Meg Meg the stallion dropped two weeks ago. Sexy red dropped her out, we might think like three weeks before that. So, the women have been dropping albums lately, but it seems like just the overall quality of music. I had to combine, like from this year, all of you know, sexy red stuff Meg stuff and now with ice spice and even glow real, because I think glow real actually dropped the project too. It's not holding up to snuff, you know, again just quality wise and obviously none of these women have gone number one I don't expect I spice to go number one with this project I would be so I would be shocked. If you got like, but at this point it's not even about just getting number one as of it stands. If I was to be a bed man, three out of them, four people that you just named has the potential, and that's the key word, potential to get a number one album, or even a number one song, one of them don't. And guess who that is I don't feel like I spice has I mean her beyond it was apparent to because I remember she did a collab with Taylor Swift of all people you know Taylor Swift being the number one, you know, streamed person in music, and she couldn't even get ice to a number one, because she's a gimmick she's not like yeah she's a bad one, a bad gimmick at that. I spice would have had a better would have no hardly less expectations, if she would have just took the black China route if she would have just took the Ambrose route. Like, and I hate to say that like if you if she would have just took that route, we wouldn't have these expectations like, oh you're another or what's another one Ari. And if you was just one of those people like just a face would ask, we wouldn't have these expectations of you because we wouldn't care. We wouldn't. But she's doing all those people sort of things always on camera twerking but then have the tenacity to be like, Hey, I want. Hey, here's some music and then you start pumping out music. But you don't, we can't take you seriously and that's a lot of female artists's problems. And we're not talking about the sexy ads at this point we're not talking about the mags or whatever. We're talking about the ones that we don't that that we don't care because they stay at the bottom of the barrel, because it's all the same stick if they think if they work hard enough. Oh, we're going to get some record plays and that's not how it works because if we listen to music. We want quality music. Period. We just want something good to listen to. We want something to go to the club to we want something to write to. We want to something to play at the cookouts, the functions, whatever the case may be. And if all you doing is twerking and you could just say that shit for Instagram and move over to this, like leave that music spot open for somebody who's going to take music seriously because to me, I don't think her labels taking this seriously I think they feel like if she twerks enough that she's going to get enough plays enough spins enough album sales and no, because no matter how. How much brain right exists in hip hop people still wants to listen to go music. Yeah, well said, I mean, I guess to close, I guess to close all this preliminary numbers came out of what she's scheduled to do. First week, this is not including pure sales. And you want to take a guess. What did I say on the last episode like under I don't know, I don't know what you said. I think I think I said 9000. But I mean I wasn't really being serious stuff. I'd say 5K. Oh, well you're, you're way off. And I was way off to, somewhere between 17 to 23,000. Bullshit. Bullshit. I swear to God. I swear to God. There's no. I'll send you the link. Fucking way. I need to see. Okay. Fuck the prediction. I need to see the actual first week because I'm calling bullshit. Like, there's not. Like, and this ain't even me hating. I mean, the numbers are still low for like the hype that's been back slow. Yeah, it's low. But it's just. It's bullshit. Like, there's no way. What is sexy red? What is sexy red do on her, her album. Hold on. I'm about to lift that up for you right now. You said so. Let's see. Is this the one? It should be. 27,000. Okay. Okay. Well, it's not. Okay. Well, I mean, that's still. Like, one says 27. The other one says 28,000. So between that. So between 27 and 28, let's just give her a 2750. Yeah, let's say 27. Let's say random bill 2750 per sexy reds of newest album. So with so with 23 really be that far off from. Mind you, I think mind you, I think most of the streams from the sexy album is because there's a Drake song on there. Well, granted, but again, do I feel like it's off? Yes, because I don't. There's not one song of ice spice that I can be like, oh yeah, again, when we talk about the mix, the glow realers, the, the, the, there's only certain feeling who I feel like has the potential. And I'm going to say put that in quotations because potential to have a number one album. And I don't feel like I spice fits that criteria. I just feel like it's a gimmick. And the more her music because I mean, even after this album, I don't think she's got to drop another album. And obviously she's not going to drop one another one anytime soon, but I really don't see because I feel like, I don't know I just don't see her peeking this. Like see what, because if you have Travis and gunner on an album, and this is all you can muster up. I don't think nothing else will help you. Yeah, I agree. This we may not see another album for any long while from her. Especially if it's going to be the same subject subject matter. I mean, we've seen it with the city girls and we've seen it with artists is before, like you can only go with the same stick for so long. And I feel even your own fans just like. Okay. That's it. Yeah. And again, like even, and you know what I feel like she's going to end up being like, she's going to end up almost like the female version of the baby. And regardless of all the controversy he was in, one of his biggest complaints was the same fucking flow. And I love how like he even to this day, he says like, Oh, it's just people hating. It's like, no, it's like the reason why a lot of artists has had longevity in hip hop is because they always switched up something where there is the way they wrapped the topic or they flow is always been something to like, Oh, damn, you hear, you heard how so and so was wrapping, like, that's the long journey. That's what made a lot of our kept interest in a lot of artists. And if you're not willing to do that. Like, okay, so the difference between those two is that the baby, he's just being hardheaded because he feels like, you know, if it's not broke. Don't fix it. But if your fans says like, yo, fix it. And you just ignore it. That's just a big fuck you to his own fan base. I spice on the other hand, I just feel like she just doesn't get that memo because nobody's in her circle telling her. Like, hey, maybe you want to switch it up. Of course, because they're just looking for quick cash grabs. That's just what it is. We just want to quick cash. We don't care about artistry. We don't care about putting together a good album or good music like we don't care. We just want to make as much money as humanly possible in the short term because the long term. Five years from now. I don't think she'll be around. She's still around after the next three years I'll be amazed because I mean she'll be around because of her life of her sex appeal and whatnot but she won't be around as an artist she won't be around as a rapper. You know, that's just what it is like at least, you know, unlike the men, but the women have their sex appeal to fall back on, you know, like, they can, they can make the move to only fans and make a boatload of money over there. And not, you know, more than they ever made as, as a rapper, you know, so I see that being in her future for sure, you know, but yeah, that was it. That was our ice spice breakdown. It was a terrible album and I just. Well, thank God. Well, you know what I think she knew that I think she knew that deep down this album is going to suck. And she kind of gave us a good look because she made the, you know, it was only a 20 minute album. It was an hour long. She could have made us really suffer. You know, so yeah, if she was an asshole. Yeah, exactly. Moving on to other music. Did you hear the, the two Tory songs to Tory Lane songs. Oh yeah, I actually like those yeah prison tapes. Yes, man. Oh, it's so crazy. A couple of reasons. This guy's in this guy has been in prison for a little bit, right? Yeah. How is his music sounding more like more crisp, like more authentic to a jail phone than like some of these, some of these other are some of these other rappers who are out Scott free and actually recording in a studio. I got, I got one. I got one good theory about that. And I think what it is is the fact that, I mean, you're in jail, you have nothing else better than doing the work on your craft. It's like, yeah, I'm saying it's like, God damn, like, even even the other, even rappers in the past that were in jail like shit, like Max Speed tried to drop music over the jail phone and it sounded like shit. Oh, if you're talking about the quality, I don't know. Yeah, like what jail phone was Tory using that made the music sounds so like, you know, as if like he was recording in a studio as opposed to in a prison. You know, like Max B's Max B shit sounded trash, trash when he was when he still locked up, but I mean, you know, shit. I mean, it's just, and it also, and it also leads the question like if his music is still getting rounds and making his rounds on the internet while he's in jail. What's he doing like a dime or 10 years. Oh, I think eight, but he could be out in like five or something like that. At least the question like, is he going to go back to music. Once he. Oh, yeah. Because that's all because that's all he knows because there's, listen, for for plenty of these rappers, there is no plan B. It's either I rap, or that's it like that's my quality that's that's what I'm good at, you know. Like there is no set there is no option B, you know, because they don't think they don't think that far ahead. There's a lot of these people. So, but yeah, Tory, you know, Tory will get out and you know, people, you know, his fans are still going to be there. You know, it's crazy too. You know, he's, he's keeping busy. Like, you know, his YouTube page is still active. It's not like it's been, it's been, you know, you know, inactive. Once he once he got sent to prison, you know, it's it's still active. He's still dropping like singles here and there, you know, he's doing what he can. So. And again, the way I look at it, like, at some point, we still getting great music from him. I mean, and again, a lot of probably a lot of make support is like how can you listen to his music with headphones. And the car. My speakers. Like, come on, like, let's not be dumb here. Like, hey, I'm about to take a step further. So, those, those two Tory songs that just dropped are better than anything from that mega album. Oh, my drop. I mean, Dallas, those two Tory songs. Let me just shout them out. Let me just give them. Let me just plug them real quick because he deserves it. Like fuck what you think about Tory, you know, like, like, fuck all that. And I just shout out the two singles that he dropped. Cell to 45. Was one of them and the other one was. Wish I never met you all from his upcoming prison tapes project. I mean, I mean, in a world where we need better music. Then yeah, like that's what we're looking for. I mean, and my thing is, as long as he's not on those six shit like child paraphernalia. Oh, of course. Yeah, but besides that, fuck all that. Ever since he got sent to prison, right? Like, after all this trial shit happened. And like, and people have claimed, oh, well, that's it for Tory. He's finished. His career is over. And, you know, on the, on the other end. Oh, Meg, she's about to ascend from this trial. It's kind of been the complete opposite. It's been the complete opposite. Meg, her music. I like Meg. Don't get me right. I like Meg. I like when she wraps. But the Bob she's been putting out have been exactly the same kind of Bob she was putting out prior to the whole, you know, shooting incident. And people are tired of it. You know, Tory, though, I'll tell you what, he has been. He's he's feeding. He's feeding his fans when he can. You know, because he could have just, you know, completely just gone off the grid and you never hear from him for the next seven years or so. You know, you get no, you get no new music from him. But no, it's it's been the complete opposite. He's been he's been working. He's he's doing what he can behind bars and, you know, shot out to his, his team that's also been working as well. I'm sure. And, you know, his closest peoples. So, you know, one thing I will say. One thing I will definitely say about just, I mean, Oh, and there's one more album I have to do. I'm not going to do. I did say I was going to do child's game, being a quick two second post. It's a decent album. Go check it out. But, um, mustard. I feel like this is another person that benefited from the whole drinking Kendrick thing. It's like, you just seem to hear a lot more from him, as opposed to, I mean, he's been on several different projects, but it's like now, it's like, because of that he's just been pumping out music. I listened to the to it. And again, if you're into that West Coast sound. This is something that I definitely see you up, you as a person writing to. If you're not into the West Coast sound, this might be an easy skip. I mean, listen, I like the sound, but I mean, it's the same sound kind of like with drill music. It's the same sound, you know. I like, I like the I like the West Coast Bobs and slow doses, but an entire album worth. No, no thanks. I only went to the features that, you know, that I'm a fan like I went to the Roddy, the Roddy rich song. I like that song. It's pretty good. I like the song with with blast. I like that song as well. What other highlights of anything that you'd like from there. The mustard song. Yeah. Oh, I definitely love the track with Yadi and. Oh, you know what, you know what, surprisingly, yeah. Yadi, I like that beat actually. I actually like that beat. I just wish it didn't, I wish it didn't go to those guys. It should have went to it. It should have went to a rapper that was like more lyrical, you know, that beat. That beat was too good. It should have went to an actual rapper. Like it should. Oh, man. You know what song I actually liked and I'm not a fan of this guy, but Kodak Black. Yeah, that was he had a good track too. Kodak Black, Yak Yak's prayer. Really good. Really good. Yeah, that was another joint that I was like surprising. Like, yo, this is fucking fire. Like, and it's like I said, though, like, it's not so much as a. That's why we're on the topic of Yadi. He dropped another, another like single we're gonna get on the ass like. That was another good song that I was fucking with. Like, I mean, I mean, one thing a lot of hate goes to Yadi and some of his rightfully so. But one thing I will never take away from Yadi is that he works. I go, I get on Spotify and at least once a week he's on a song with somebody, whether it's somebody we know, whether it's some new artists like this man works. And I think that's going to be one thing that we're going to probably miss about Yadi is the fact that his work acted because compared to a lot of artists who are scared and dropped for whatever reason Yadi pumps out music. Yadi definitely pumps out music and that would be something like, I will take to my grave like listen, regardless of how you feel and somebody got these songs aren't actually good. Now does that mean his whole discography is fire? Absolutely not. No, I'm not even, I'm not even that big of a little Yadi fan but, you know, the guy tries, he tries different things. But he comes off as like a genuine, you know, a genuine good person, you know. Yeah. You know, I just, I just don't like when he tries to rap and the keyword tries, you know. I don't know. It's just, I don't know. I feel like people hate on him way too much. And I feel like in a world where artists is dropped like every so often. We need to just give him a little bit more credit for at least put it in that effort. Yeah. Agreed. Agreed. Anything else in new music. No, it's been a slow news week sort of day. All right, so I guess that's it. So I guess that's it for the music so a story that we talked about last episode that. I just want to give an update on. So yeah, Joe Biden last week. Shockingly, shockingly has announced that he wasn't going to seek reelection in this upcoming draft. No, no brainer, no surprise here, Kamala Harris, his vice president is going to what has taken his spot. And we'll now run against Donald Trump in the upcoming election. And you know what so far people are really taking liking to her, you know. Like her rallies. I mean, the clips I've been seeing her rallies are fun to, to, to watch and be at. She has garnered a lot of donations up in like them, like the hundreds of millions of dollars for her for her campaign. Yeah, it just seems like everything so far was going right with her. She just needs now to. To pick a vice president to be her running mates and. Yeah. Anything you want to add to that? It's going to be interesting to see the next couple months because I mean, again, and I said this on last episode when it comes to politics you got to go who benefits you as a person like, and I know you got to be a little selfish but I mean at the end of the day we all got to be a little selfish to some degree, like we just have to look to go see what fits us the best. As politics go so like in one thing we're not going to tell you how to. We're not going to tell you how to, you know, vote if you're in the States. I'm more mutual like, so I, I'm not swaying I'm not going to tell you what to do with your free time to vote. Just go for whatever is best for you, your family and your loved ones. That's all I can say about that. Yeah, you know, it's interesting these last few weeks in the political world. It's, you know, it, it will be interesting to see how this will unfold. I don't think we've yet have an announcement on whether these two are going to debate against each other. I would think a debate would be coming up maybe in the next month. Yeah, again, like we don't, we don't normally cover this shit because we don't really, we don't really give a shit, but, you know, for those that do. Yeah, that's, that's the update. I saw, I saw Biden give a, a speech from the White House. And I got to give respect, you know, he, he, he put himself. He put, he put the country, you know, above himself, you know, and he said, well, you know what I could have ran again. And I wanted to run again. But essentially I wanted to do what was best for this country and how to move forward. So, and that's why he stepped down. So, you know, say what you want about, say what you want about him, but you can't say he was, he was selfish. Can't say that. Yeah, definitely. Again, like that's definitely something you can give credit to. Yeah. Anything else. Anything else. I don't know about you. I'm just going to tune into. Well, I said a couple of things. I want to tune into track and field. And of course basketball. See what team USA does. I'm definitely going to be looking into that. I mean, I was at the barbershop and they had kayak and this is like, it was so born. I didn't even see a lot of fans out there outside of family supporting it. So it's like. Definitely, definitely a lot of. Sporting events that people don't care if like archery, like no one cares for archery. Right. No one cares about, like you said, kayaking. Oh my God. What else? There's, there's others. There's. I'm trying to think of another one. Water polo. Yeah. Like, I think, I think in a couple of weeks, we got to let the, like, we got to take the pot off the stove and we got to, we got to do that one episode to. It's coming up. It's coming up for sure. One thing I will. One reason why I did want to bring that up is because, and this is the last thing I got for today. I guess ASAP Rocky and Jake Hol is dropping the song. Yeah, I know for ASAP's album. Yes, don't be dumb. It's funny because now we get back to a state of normality with, when it comes to just the male side of hip hop. I still, I still think, I still think if ASAP Rocky drops the song, it's not going to be that interesting. I mean, I'm sure people are only going to tune into ASAP's album to see if he's going to respond to, to, to the Drake shots. Obviously, the shit that ASAP said to him was really weak talking about, yeah, well, you know, while you were fucking my baby mother, I was fucking yours. It's like, all right, so Drake was fucking Rihanna. And you were fucking some no name girl. Cool. You really, you really got him there, buddy. You really got him there. Oh, man. Wasn't a wasn't the, the, the smartest of decisions there on ASAP's part. Yeah, but even before that or without that list, like. Yeah, I mean, ASAP Rocky hasn't dropped nothing to make me go, Oh, yeah, there's going to be, you know, wow, I mean, people don't speak about it, but for the last couple of years, he's been dropping singles here and there. And they've, they've garnered zero noise very little to zero noise. I forgot the, the song where he had Rihanna in the music video and they're all lovely W because the song was just so forgettable. People are just tuning in to see Rihanna in a music video like that was it. That was the highlight of the video. Yeah. Yeah, that's no, well, not even the video, but that's all people talked about was, Oh my God, it's Rihanna in a music video. They didn't even talk about the song. Like, didn't give a shit. You know, so. Yeah, man. We'll see. We'll see what what he's got if he's got any any smoke for Drake on this album. I mean, we're about we're pretty much like, we're pretty much finished with July and just overall, I've not been very happy with how the hip hop releases, like in terms of like music and what's been dropping like I just haven't been happy overall. Yeah, same here. It's just it's just the same. Oh, same. Yeah, it's the same should no one's really like, like no one really wants to like, you know, just just take advantage of, of the opportunity to come with like with like a with a smash of some kind, you know. A lot of time is up. I think August is going to be another one of them months where that's what we're going to get because now we get to see if a separate he got something cooking or. His album don't drop until like the last day of August so it's not you can't really say it's a summer album when it's like you're dropping at the end of August. Big Sean is dropping August 9, a lot of was dropping August 9. And then ASAP August 30th. Yeah, I mean that's pretty much in terms. That's it. That's, that's. I mean, pretty much I mean, I mean, but it's still going to be like all eyes is on the industry. Yeah, we'll see. We'll see. All right, well, that's it. Really nothing else to, nothing else to speak on. And that will do it for this week's episode more of the shorter ones but listen, it ain't all for listen blank, blame the media because we're not going to report on every little piece of bullshit that comes up on our timeline. Just enough to just what we're we're covered the important stuff. Yeah. But with that being said, as always, it's 10 cents for capacity 10 cents for human decency and five sets of act on it. That's your quarter of the week. And for the million dollar dream this is your boy Pimp. We are out. [BLANK_AUDIO]
