The intermediate chapter didn't carry rarely to the pints, and we saw another example of that in the Father's Evening, as them firsting Catarney Legion battled it out in the opening round, and the Master went all the way to the end with the resultant doubt. The Legion took their advantage, but James Odenhu continued to defy the aging process with a fine pint to give his side the lead, before setting up David O'Sullivan for a second score. The first four lines and their roaches freeze for their early scores, the exception being a pint from Catarney and O'Sullivan, winged back chance and line increased Legion's lead with another well-taken score. The first goal chance of the half had the Caleb Cronin, who was set free by Tommy Bowler's superb pass. He last controlled the ball, but managed to get his fist hit, Cindy had just over the bar. King Gamaldin finished well after profiting from Darlin's powerful run. Strong running from both half-backed lines was a big feature of the first half. This time it was Michael Milan who joined the attack, setting up Roch for another pint with left foot. The first suffered a setback when Ian Roch was forced off. Roch had won two of the freeze at Broder, Darang converted. He was replaced by his other brother, Dylan would have been influential second half. Another Odenhu point in injury time left Legion two-headed the interval. Odenhu and Bowler swapped freeze to start the second half. Then Legion looked like they had got a highly important score. He holed up the lint-pinting after a long period of possession, then first struck backward three pints in succession. Darral Roch with two and Broder did them with the other, creating space with a clever bounce in the ball. Tommy Bowler's long-range effort was then punched over the bar by Goli Brian Kelly. It was Odenhu again who put Legion back in control. His powerful run along the end line was matched by its superbly timed pass to Peter McCarthy who found the net from close range. Peter forward burst from between the line, Odenhu had another score. More quick football for Connor forward, Roch saw Jeff Odenhu drag them first but in three again. Roch didn't latch down to Jamie Miner's superb through ball, Rombi Kelly only for the Goli to somehow get his hand to this shot and have his defenders clear off the line. A quick break from Devlin saw Odenhu score what looked like the winning point for Legion. Oden first came again though, Brian Odenhu driving in early ball end. The crone and reach first being tripped over, gave a penalty. Del Roch was the man to step up, driving with the pressure, sending the ball flying to the top corner of the net. From the resulting kick-out, Denlin Roch snapped up a loose ball and found Kevin Bowler after a quick one too. Bowler fisted over what would be the winning point. One more Legion attack ended with a drop-shot effort and the final whistle blew on a very eventful and enjoyable game. The gym must now regroup for round two, with standout performances from Line or Sullivan Nodenhu. They will still think they can advance in a quarterfinals. For them first get a huge win from an unfair for Bowler position which was three minutes left. Lots of confidence for them to take into the next game. Thanks for listening and good luck.
