Come on up, we're going to be talking about a brand new bundle that includes Max, Hulu and Disney Plus, but also we're going to be seeing a lot more of the Kardashians and an update on Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Although they're more coming up today's Disney Plus News, but before we go any further, make sure you do hit that subscribe button to keep up with the latest. Hi, it's Roger here from Watson at DisneyPlus.com. It's time for a quick Disney Plus News roundup. Let's start off talking about some major, major news because earlier this year, it was announced that Disney was teaming out with Warner Brothers Discovery to offer a new bundle which would combine Disney Plus, Hulu and Max into one bundle where you could save some money. Well, that bundle has now officially launched in the United States. There was no kind of warm-up. It just is launched now. All new and existing customers can now purchase the bundle for just $16.99 a month. If you want the ads or just $29.99 for months, if you don't want the ads, which will save you about 38% compared if you were buying these separately. So you can go into the options within your account if you're already a subscriber and you can change it to this option. So maybe if you have the Disney streaming bundle and you don't really watch a lot of ESPN Plus, you can go in here and change it. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have the option of having all four, which would maybe be a nice thing. But the idea really of this bundle is to try and reduce Chan because it's a good deal. If you're already subscribed to all three, this is definitely something I would recommend you doing. Looks like the way it works is it kind of goes through Disney Plus, Hulu in terms of like the payment system. But yeah, I think this is going to be a great way of saving some money. I think we're going to see some more bundles starting to come together in the coming years ahead as the streaming services realize they needed to be able to lock you in. And there is this kind of idea really that if you are a Disney Plus subscriber and you know, maybe you've realized now, okay, the acolytes finished. I'm not watching now anything until Agafell cancel for the next month and I'll sign back up in the months time. Or maybe you're like, right, I finished with Star Wars. There's nothing really I'm going to watch now until skeleton crew, you might drop it perfectly for good thing to do if you want to save money and you're not watching anything, no point keeping it. But if you have the bundle, it does change your opinion a bit because you might be looking at like all the stuff that's on Hulu coming up and being like, well, I'm watching stuff on Hulu. Therefore, it's a decent price for all of it combined. It's worth keeping. And then if you're going to be watching Future Armor and any murders in the building, you know, you'll be like, well, I'm going to be watching a lot of Hulu stuff. So that's fine. I'll just keep it rolling and I'm going to be watching bits and pieces of Disney Plus as and when it drops. So the bundle keeps you locked in and you start throwing your max in as well. So something then say like, for example, you've just been watching the acolyte and then you're now watching House of the Dragon and that's going to be coming to the end and then you're going to be like, well, I'm going to be, the chance of you dropping a bundle is much less if you are constantly using one or two of the streaming servers at any one time and you think you're saving money. So there's that kind of thing of, this is a great offer. I think if you are an existing subscriber, definitely worth looking into kind of getting that looked into see if you can save any money. Or maybe if you were thinking about adding max, I think that's a good deal. I think 1699, all free with ads. I think that's pretty good. Fairly bucks with out ads. Obviously as well, that's going to depend on if you think it's worth it. And I'm in different streaming services you want to subscribe to. That is going to be the key thing. Is there enough on there for you to jump in? Yeah, and that's kind of the big core thing now. Over here in the UK, unfortunately, max doesn't, isn't a thing yet. We're still kind of connected with sky and stuff. So not every country is going to be doing this. It's just for the US right now. But major, major step also, Disney are working with Warner Brothers Discovery on a brand new sports streaming service called venue, which is set to launch later this year, hopefully. And also you're going to be able to bundle that with Max and Disney Plus. I suspect that'll be all part of this kind of thing coming in. So yeah, big, big change, really. I think this is the first time we've seen them doing this. They have done it in Latin America. They teamed up with Lionsgate Plus or Starsplay, whatever they wanted to call it at the time. I think that was more of a deal that they had to make to do some legal issues. But these bundles, I think, are going to be a way of kind of keeping costs down. It's going to be the obviously comparison to the days of cable, of getting all these different packages together. And that would be a tall surprise of some more of these bundles that are being put together. Just because it saves money, Netflix doesn't want to do it. They don't feel they need to. But if you start getting like, you know, maybe, you know, maybe if they added Paramount Plus or if Peacock can't see him doing that, you know, you see one and not one of the other big boys joining with this bundle at some point, maybe in the future, it could make a very big state for just trying to keep people locked in. I'll be honest, I definitely would be interested in taking this bundle up because I think, you know, adding on Max, I would definitely watch a lot more than ESPN Plus. And obviously, when I've been having that full ESPN sort of streaming service launching next year, which is going to be part of Disney Plus, I expect things will change around a little bit. But yeah, big, big, big news. If you're going to be taking out this bundle, if you're a HBO subscriber, let me know your thoughts about all this in the comments below. So also just a quick note as well. With this bundle and stuff in place, what I will be doing is when there's any major HBO or like Max original or big, big, bit of news, I'm going to start probably covering a little bit. I'm not going to be going all in on Max stuff and covering every single original and all the rest of it. But when the big stuff drops, I'm going to talk about it, you know, if there's, you know, new series like Penguin or something, then I might kind of start throwing it in now because I think there's going to be a little bit more of a crossover. And while I know it's not unnecessarily applicable to everybody outside the US, the majority of my audience is set in the US. So that's kind of what I'm thinking. Like I said, not going to be, I'm going to be doing the constant max stuff. But if there's some big releases, I might be talking about a little bit more. But let's know what you think of all this in the comments below. Shifting gears now, let's now talk about the Kardashians, another very hot topic, because just after the season finale aired yesterday on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ and the US on Disney+ around the world, they have confirmed that there's going to be another 20 episodes, which I'm guessing is going to be two more seasons. We kind of already knew that season six has already begun filming. So it's not a huge surprise. This show is huge. It is one of the most watched unscripted shows on Disney+ around the world. It's massive on Hulu. There's a lot of people that like watching this show. And I know there's a lot of people that hate it and do not understand why people watch it. But people do. I was watching an episode last night there in Australia. They were going to Luna Park and going on all the attractions. It was fun. It was good. Yeah, this is a big show. And yeah, it's just going to be continuing. I'm not surprised. Like I said, they just keep breaking records of this show. People are watching it. And usually it's a lot of people that are watching it. They aren't on social media telling people they're watching it. It's kind of like a secret thing, guilty pleasures you would. I definitely fall into that category, but I keep telling you that I watch it. So it's not that, not that secret. But let me know what you think of the Kardashians being renewed for another 20 episodes. Love to hear your thoughts on this in the comments below. Shifting gears now, let's now talk about Percy Jackson and the Olympians. So they held a special panel at the San Diego Comic Con on for the first day. And while there wasn't a huge amount of news coming out, it was revealed that Daniel Bimer, who you might know from under the bridge will be starring as the fan favorite Cyclops Tyson in the upcoming series in the second season, which is based on the second installment in the best-selling book series, The Sea of Monsters. Percy returns to Camp Halfblood, one year later find his world turned upside down. His friendship with Annabeth is changing. He learns he is a Cyclops for a brother. Grover has gone missing and Camp is under siege from the forces of Kross. Percy's journey to set things right will take him off the map and into the deadly Sea of Monsters, where a secret fate awaits the son of Poseidon. Tyson is a young Cyclops who grew up all alone on the streets and finds it difficult to survive in the human world. Shine awkward with a heart almost as big as he is. Tyson soon discovers that Poseidon is his father, which means that Percy Jackson is his half brother, and that Tyson may have finally found a home. Now I'm going to be like, I haven't seen the Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters movie, I'm going to be staying away from that one I want to go into this series. Fresh, they've read it in the book, so I'm going into this completely blind. But yeah, I mean I think this is a good cast. He was good in under the bridge. I'm currently just about, I think about one more episode left just before I finish it. We've been watching that one pretty much every day at the minute. So we're enjoying him in that one. I think this is good news, definitely getting the big casting out there. Big news coming out of San Diego Comic-Con. Also at San Diego Comic-Con yesterday, they did do a big panel for Deadpool and Wolverine, and they had all the cast come out, and they showed them the film, but also there's a big like light show after it, and they're kind of teased. But we're probably going to be finding out a little bit more about Fantastic Four this coming weekend when they do their big panel, because they had a big like drone of Galactus and a big five fantastic four logo. So expect to hear some news on that over the weekend. But let's now jump into our question of the day. This comes from professor who says, "It's unusual for Disney to enact the plot of the film and then change the plot of the film when it comes out." One of the reasons he's saying this is because there were some changes to the Descendants Rise of Red movie, and the simple truth is things do change in production when they're filming it. They will make adjustments. And you're going to think, imagine this is the idea of what the movie is going to be about, and it's just written down as a simple idea. It's kind of given out there to just to kind of set the tone to what to expect from us. But those things do go through changes, through rewrites, and changes, and if they didn't feel it was fitting right, they just changed it. So it's not uncommon. I mean, generally it's why a lot of the synopsis are very vague and very generic, because they don't want to give too much away in case they have to change it. But yeah, unfortunately, it's just one of those things with shows and films where during the creative process, changes are made, and things are dropped. You can have how things can change even just between like when they put a trailer out and stuff. I suspect, for example, like Elio, which is coming out next year, that's probably going to be some very, very different from what we saw in that teaser trailer earlier. Was it last year, or I don't know, I think it was last year it came out now. You know, well, the time that thing comes out is gone through so many changes. It's probably not going to really resemble that movie much. But I love to know, do you think this is a good thing or not? I love to hear your thoughts on that. On that note, guys, thank you very much for watching. I'll be back on Sunday with a live Q&A. I also suspect, depending on what comes out of the San Diego Comic-Con announcement. So I think it's going to be a late night for me on Saturday. I probably be also, I'll probably pop out a video specifically about the Marvel news that comes out as well, either Monday or Sunday, depending on when I can get that one done. But just a quick heads up. We're going to be expecting some big news there. On that note, guys, thank you very much for watching. Go check us out over at what's on DisneyPlus.com.
