Come on up, I'm going to be talking about a number of the upcoming Marvel Disney+ series, but before we go any further, make sure you do hit that subscribe button to keep up with the latest Disney+ News. I am Roger here from What's On at Disney+.com, it's time for a quick Disney+ News roundup, and today I've got a lot of Marvel News to jump into. So, I'm going to be talking about Agatha all along, we're talking about the new Spider-Man animated series, the new Black Panther animated series, what if Daredevil and lots of stuffs. This all came about because of a recent interview on the official Marvel podcast. So, the head of TV and streaming, Brad Wonderbaum, began talking about a number of different shows, so I'm going to go for them one at a time. So, let's start off talking about Agatha all along, which is going to be coming out on Disney+ in September of this year, and it's going to be running pretty much right through to the Halloween season. And that's going to be a big part of what the show is about, because, Brad won't say it's really fun, but it's really scary, and it's quite dramatic. Agatha is an amazing antihero, lures you in, but also has the fun of Halloween, and before you know it, you're crying too. Now, I think that it kind of makes sense of kind of getting this one out around the Halloween season, you know, with witches and all the rest of it. It just seems like a perfect time to put this one out, so just nice to see them kind of confirming that. Hopefully, we get some more information pretty soon. I wouldn't be at all surprised if we start seeing more announcements made at the upcoming The 23 event in August, and also later this month at San Diego Comic Con. There's going to be two different presentations. They might not all get the same announcements on each one, but Agatha, I would be very surprised if we didn't see her first teaser trailer at least this month, because with the acolyte coming to a close, they're going to need to kind of get in the next big show, and that is it. I don't think it's going to be too long until we see this part of the series, but let us know. You're looking forward to Agatha. Let me know in the comments below. Let's now talk about what if. So, as the first season is set to be coming soon to Disney, but we don't know yet when I'm gathering, it's probably more likely going to be next year. We saw a little clip of it last year after the release of the season finale, the second season, but it looks like this might be the final season, because I've hinted that this is a trilogy, and the story's kind of come into an end. He went on to say, "It feels like the completion of a trilogy. It takes us to places that you'd never expect. It goes beyond the first two seasons, and the exploration of the multiverse. It pulls in characters that are very unexpected. And that's what I think is an extremely moving and very fulfilling combination for the watcher." That's kind of sound like the sort of setting this one up to maybe come to close after the third season. Now, on one hand, I think it makes sense, because I think this is probably one of the more expensive shows to make, because they're getting all the big Hollywood stars, and that's obviously going to increase the costs of making it compared to doing it elsewhere. But I think, like, what if is a show that just could just keep running and running? Because I've been a fan of this comic book series, well, way back since the 90s. I always liked this one, because it was something that I could always feel like I could walk into the comic book store in my city and pick up an issue, and it didn't make any difference if I read anything else, you just kind of do it, and I always was kind of drawn to these one shots. And I think that's what this series could probably could do with just, you know, they put out, you know, a summer one, you know, and then they put out one in the Halloween time, put out a Christopher. They could just randomly put these out rather than having these big, full series and stuff, so I hope that's something that they could do. But I do get the feeling that I think the third season is probably going to be the end of it, but also this might tie into the end really of the multiverse saga. Maybe they just want to feel like they want to put this behind them when they do the next big Avengers movies. But let us know. Would you like to see any more seasons after the third one? Or do you think it might be right to close it at the end of the third? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this in the comments below. Brad also gave an update on the brand new Eyes of a Condor series. Now, this one also is set to probably arrive on Disney+ later this year. I'm still a little bit iffy whether or not all of this stuff's actually going to arrive when it's supposed to, because if we've got Agatha sort of September, October, and with your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, then maybe dropping November, December, I think Eyes of a Condor. I mean, I don't know. I just don't sure if they need to get this one out yet. But we also had a little bit of an update on this animated series where he said Eyes of a Condor is more than any other show that we're doing in animation. Ties into the MCU. It's both about the history of a Condor, but also expands into the greater MCU at different time periods. So if you're a fan of the movies, I think this show is going to be a real treat. Again, I think this one's going to be one we're going to see at either D23 or San Diego Comic-Con. I think we're at that point. This one, I wouldn't be surprised if it was maybe early 2025, they might spread it out a little bit more. But yeah, this is one I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do with it. I think exploring with Condor and the characters, I think there's probably going to be likely to be a third Black Panther film, but it's kind of an area that I think they could kind of explore and also bring back some characters and do some different things with. But yeah, I think more Wakanda, more Black Panther, it's going to be good. But the question is, is audiences kind of connecting with this stuff, are they going to watch it? I don't know, but I'm looking forward to watching it. What about you? Let me know in the comments below. Shifting gears now, let's now talk about your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. This was formerly known as Spider-Man Freshman Year, and this is a series which takes us back to Peter Parker at high school when he first kind of becomes Spider-Man. And this series is supposed to arrive later this year. This one's kind of looking maybe around about November time. So this one's kind of going back very basic in terms of what it's going to be looking at. But we've also got a little bit of an update. He said there are twists and turns in the show that are amazing. But the real power of the ensemble is the neighborhood. I'm not going to lie, this series is going to be, I think it's going to be weird to see what they do, I think with Spider-Man going back to high school, it needs to be played maybe for a younger audience. But also, I know there's been some incredible Spider-Man series, so this one's got a lot to live up to. The art style at the minute is kind of like, I don't know, like 50/60 style. Not sure on it, this one's definitely got a big question mark over, this one's going to hit or not. We're just going to have to wait and see, and hopefully again we get an update on this one pretty soon at San Diego or at the 23. Let's now talk about Dead Over Born Again. So this series is supposed to arrive on Disney Plus next year. They're supposed to come this year, it had been delayed because of all the strikes and then they basically brought it a new creative team, they've made it and kind of gone back to what the original series was from the Netflix run and really kind of leaned in on that. And Brad kind of explained a little bit more detail. Well, Dead Over is incredible, it's similar in some ways to X-Men 97 because it's reviving some of that the fans love, but it's also taking it in a new direction. These characters have matured, the universe is different than it was, things have changed, society has changed, Matt and Wilson have changed and their characters are going to collide in ways we've never seen before. It is no longer just enough just to try and murder each other, there's a whole game of politics at play. And I think the key thing there is politics, I think we're going to see the whole storyline that they've done in the comic books with the Kingpin becoming the mayor, they tease that at the end of Echo, I think that's where they're going to go. And obviously the characters have moved on a lot, it's been, I mean we've seen these ones popping up in other shows and stuff, but I want to really get in on the grittiness of it. Also, they've gone through the blip and just all of this, I think it's going to be interesting to see how all this comes together, hopefully again we get that update on this pretty soon, but again coming next year on Disney Plus, but let us know what you think of not just the Dead Over Knows but all of this in the comments below. Let's now jump into the question of the day, and this one is a pretty interesting one. Booty as, or do you think it's fair that Disney to judge a show's performance in cancer just based on the US? For example, Not Dead Yet was cancelled but now only season 2 has been released around the world, shouldn't they wait and see how it does internationally before they decide to cancel it. Now I definitely feel this is something that Disney is very bad at in terms of, they often seem to be especially, I don't know so much with Disney Plus and like the major originals, but with like the ABC and the FX and the National Geographic front, they are so focused on the linear channels in the US and that's kind of their base and what they're used to and their focus, that the international side of Disney Plus, in all honestly sometimes just feels like an afterthought and something that they're not even focused on, they're just kind of still focusing on how well it does in the US, what it does there and if it doesn't do well there, they just dump it. As you said, Not Dead Yet was cancelled even before the second season even arrived, it only arrived this week in the UK. And this happens a lot where shows kind of get cancelled and by the time they come out here it's just like, is there really any point in watching it and I've done that with quite a few shows where recently there was, I just think there was a show that dropped and yeah, I was about two, three episodes in, it was still being released week and I was like that's on it, I'm not going to bother anymore and yeah, this is a problem, I do think Disney just, they don't view international audiences in the same way and it's still very, very focused on the US and like I said, if it doesn't do well on Hulu and on the ABC ratings, it's just gone there, it could be an indication though that they might find that a show that doesn't do very well on ABC generally just doesn't do very well anywhere and so therefore they know that it's, they got the data that shows that this is the case but obviously it does show that sometimes maybe a show could blow up internationally and it's a lot more popular and worth doing but I don't know, it just feels very, very US centric and it is annoying and especially for those of us outside the US where we get shows after they've been cancelled or maybe it's popular enough but the question is are they getting enough money from it from advertising revenue, it's not like the days where they used to be able to sell it, yeah it does just feel like if it doesn't do very well on ABC, it's can, done, moved on and they just move on to something else and again the international audience just doesn't seem to be part of the what they need to worry about at all which is a shame, maybe if a show blew up but I think the trouble is kind of a self-profecting issue where, if you say that this show was cancelled it instantly means that the international audience is automatically just kind of gone, no no point, it's self-fulfilling prophecy, it just kind of contracts it, they kind of told us that it's not very good before we've even seen it so yeah I think that's the kind of thing but let us know what you think of it, do you think they should do it too early, do they not, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, if you've got a great question drop it in there and if it's cool I will pick it out for tomorrow's of question of the day but on that note guys thank you very much, hopefully all you guys at the US are enjoying the full of July celebrations and if you're in the UK don't vote, on that note guys thank you very much, see you guys soon, bye guys.
