Coming up, how are we talking about Marvel Studios returning to San Diego Comic-Con? Also got an update under the Media Show and Wonder Man. But before we go any further, make sure you do hit that subscribe button to keep up with the latest Disney Plus News. Hi, it's Roger here from What's On Disney Plus. Come it's time for a quick Disney Plus News roundup. Let's start off with talking about Marvel Studios returning to San Diego Comic-Con. Deadline has said that they're going to be returning at the Hall H presentation. No word yet officially on what's going on. We don't have a time, it's taking place between July the 25th and the 28th. So generally Marvel tends to go out on the 2nd to last day. Big panel, whenever they do this, people are queued up overnight to try and get in. This thing is going to be a hot ticket. A lot of people are going to be trying to get in here. Because at these events, we tend to get an idea of what's coming up in the future. What shows? What movies are going to be coming in the next phase? And usually we get some announcements. There's also presentations in terms of actors are brought out and they announce stuff that way. People get to see stuff there. There's also teasers, trailers and stuff. But most of this is only for those in attendance. Sometimes it might put out a little bit of a trailer or something like that out to the public. And obviously most of the news will get put out in press releases and images and stuff. But generally it's all kind of kept just for those in attendance. Now I wasn't sure if they were going to go there this year because Disney is holding its Ultimate D23 event just a few weeks later at the Honda Center in Anaheim. So they're hiring out a big stadium to hold all their big events. And on a Friday night, they're going to be having a big showcase presentation for all of their studios. Now that is the key thing which I do think is why the Marvel are still probably going to San Diego Comic Con because essentially they've now only got the one night. And if they're trying to do a presentation for Marvel, Star Wars, 20th Century, Disney, Pixar, et cetera. If you've only got two, three hours, that's not a lot of time to get stuff in there. I still think there's going to be some big Marvel announcements made at D23 so I don't necessarily think everything is going to get revealed at San Diego Comic Con. But this might be a good time for Marvel to kind of do a little bit of a check in with audiences and give them an idea of what the current plan is. The last time we had the plan back in 2022, a lot of it has changed. To be honest, when you look at the slides for what was supposed to come out, most of this year's content that we were supposed to have had by now is pretty much all next year. There's a load of stuff that got delayed. And so I think they need to give us an idea of when this stuff's coming. We are going to be seeing less releases. So I think that's coming in in terms of what I think is going to get kind of shown off. I think they're going to see some footage from Captain America Brave New World and Fun the Boats, both of which have filmed. They're probably also going to get to see a little bit of maybe Ironheart and also Daredevil Born again. Also probably Wonder Man as well, which I'll jump into a little bit. Probably also get to see a little bit of Agatha as well. That's obviously coming out in September. If I was to drop a trailer, that might be a good time to do it. But also that same weekend, Deadpool and Wolverine is hitting cinemas. So I wouldn't be at all surprised if Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds turn up to kind of do something just to kind of get more buzz about that film. So I would expect that, yeah, I would expect maybe Wonder Man announcement, maybe come from confirmation of what's going on with the Avengers movies, maybe we're Blade. I wouldn't be surprised if Fantastic Four gets bumped back and the cast actually turn up because apparently Kevin did say in a recent interview on marvel.com's official podcast that they are set to start filming Fantastic Four the day after San Diego Comic On in London. So I wouldn't be surprised if they turn up there and you've got Pedro Pascal and stuff all there turning up and then they all then flood over to London on one big flight. So I could see that happening, but again with these kind of events, per expectations on the load. Don't go in expecting days like the investors day where they were announcing five movies and 20 Disney+ shows. Those days are done. They still have to catch up on the last event and that's the key thing. They've still got to get a load of stuff that they've already announced out. A lot of stuff is, they're years behind schedule and so therefore that is going to impact on what we're seeing. There's lots for them to show us, lots of stuff that's been filmed, lots of stuff they can do, but just set those expectations about new announcements to be quite low. I mean, they've already got pretty much all of their Disney+ series filmed for 2025 going into 2026. They're at that same thing really with the movies, 2025 is pretty much set now going into 2026. So yeah, they aren't going to be wanting to go much beyond that, but maybe they'll just give us the idea of what's coming up in the phases, but big news on that there. Also as I said during that same interview on Marvel's official podcast Kevin Feige did also say I'm kind of confirmed now that Wonder Man is happening, he went on to say, we have a show coming up that we've talked very little about called Wonder Man that I won't talk about much today either, except to say it's extremely different. It's very exciting to be part of a company of 25 years or more and I have a company that's been around for 85 years nestled within a Disney company which has been around for 100 years and still be able to try some new things to take characters and stories to new places. That's what's exciting to me. So it's nice to see this show now officially confirmed, but yeah, I would be very not surprised if at either D23 or San Diego, this show is now officially kind of we get the logo of treatment we see, you know, he's going to be starring in it and maybe even like a little teaser or like some pictures and stuff, but yeah, that's my thought on that one. But if you're looking forward to this one, but also more importantly, let me know what you think is going to get revealed at San Diego Comic Con, love to hear your thoughts on that in the comments below. It's also been revealed that it's also been revealed by Deadline that the Tamilio show has been cancelled after free seasons, won't be returning for its fourth season. I'm not hugely surprised by this. They've been running off doing lots of other projects. They launched a new snacks line with popcorn and yeah, it's all over their socials. I was going for it earlier to try and find it. So this show is all about the Tamilio family. They're all big on TikTok. They've all got influencers and they've got all these deals and stuff that you podcast and all kinds of stuff. The first season did very well, but obviously I think we're at a point now where these kind of shows, they have to be really big to be worthwhile. They did with some really serious stuff, lots of anxiety, so definitely the sister and Dixie was going through a lot of issues, there was also issues with the marriage and stuff. It was very, it was a lot darker and a lot, not quite as fun as you would have kind of expect from a reality TV series all about sort of goes up became famous for dancing on TikTok. You know, you'd expect it to be a little bit more upbeat, but it's just following them and along the lines. To be honest, they've got such a big social media following, I don't think they really need to show. And with Disney cutting back on what it's spending, yeah, I just feel the Tamilio show probably just wasn't really clicking with audiences anymore and they were kind of going off and doing different bits and pieces and stuff. But yeah, let us know. You can actually check out the Tamilio show, obviously you can find the previous seasons right now on Disney Plus around the world and on Hulu in the United States. Let's now talk about what's new on Disney Plus today, a new episode of the Kardashians. But more importantly that we got a brand new season of FX to bear. So this is again, Hulu and Hulu on Disney Plus in the United States, Disney Plus around the world. So I've watched four episodes this morning, I love the first two seasons, enjoying the third season so fast, I've kind of got a long way to go yet. Not of the most fun comedy, they call it comedy, but I don't really think of it as comedy at all because there's not a lot of glass in it. As someone that's worked in the kitchen, this show, it's kind of drifted away from what I liked about the first season, where it was about a family running a business together and it was realistic now, it's kind of gone into fancy food and really posh stuff. And some of the staff are struggling with it and I do like it, I really enjoy this series. This is definitely for me, one of the highlights of the year. I've still got, as I said, gonna be watching some more episodes over the next coming days. Really enjoying it so far, if you've never seen the bear, go back and watch the first one. There's a reason why it's won so many awards, why it's so big. And the fact that Disney even launched it a few hours early last night in the US to make sure people can watch it in prime time really does indicate the quality of this series. So definitely, definitely check that one out. If you're gonna be checking out the bear, let me know, as I'll do, I'll probably talk about it a little bit more once I've seen a little bit more unfinished the entire season, but I don't want, the thing is, well, because it's a binge drop, you know, we're all gonna be at different stages and stuff, so I don't really want to get too much into the spoiler zone on, like a, what was it, like a five, six hour show right now. But let's now jump into the question of the day. This one comes from Brendan who says, "Will they add to you ever come to Australia?" I'm assuming it'll be within the next couple of months, maybe, perhaps, or maybe even next year, possibly. So as of yet, we've not yet found out when Disney is gonna be launching the ad supported tier in Australia. Just this week, they saw the ad tier launch across Latin America with a changeover that went there with demanding in the start and the ESPN hub. So that's probably been where they've been focusing, getting more advertising of the countries. Again, I think it's gonna come down to whether or not they've got maybe enough advertising, whether or not it's gonna work, whether or not it's gonna be profitable. I was reading earlier that Netflix was having difficulties at the start. We're trying to get enough advertising in Australia. So they're gonna have to have their agents kind of putting together things. So maybe they just not feel there's enough sort of justification for it yet. I assume it's gonna arrive sooner or later, but again, we're gonna have to scale up their ad teams to go out there and bid, you know, and get working, no point launching it with no ads. They're gonna need that. And also maybe just to see how it does in other countries and stuff. I'm surprised it's not there. The fact that Netflix is running it obviously shows there is a market for it that you haven't got their TV channels there anymore. They want to pull that in. But yeah, I would hope so, but maybe now with the style sort of star plus system kind of sorted, they might now be able to move on to that. They've also got to sort out the ESPN hub in the US and hold on to other things though. But you think we've advertising here, get around to it sooner or later, but let us know your thoughts on all this. If you've got a great question, put it in the comments below. And if it's a cool one, I shall pick it out for tomorrow. But on that note guys, thank you very much for watching. See you guys soon. Later. Bye. You [ Silence ]
