It was like, oh, yeah There's a whale stuck in a net or something right off of your island didn't went through Um, so yeah, I think a lot of activity out in the water scary. There was a hammerhead shark off chatham I saw that yeah the video. Yeah. Jason tatum was benched coach steve kurt. What's up with that? Jason's going to play every game is going to be different based on match-ups He's a total pro. He's you know first team all NBA three years in a row I felt like an idiot not playing him But in a 40-minute game You can't play more than 10. You really can't and uh You know, so I just I think he's he's an amazing guy great player and and handled it beautifully and you know He'll be back out there next game dude. It's Jason tatum. Okay, put him in yeah, but you put him in But there's also like 15 other guys Let me ask you something other one the the world championship. Well, you could argue who won MVP. He's not even there And then there's not you want to? Okay Is tatum's our guy. Yeah, okay. Okay. Hey, but do you but hey do you I got 15 minutes? Uh, okay. Well, they're gonna you know what he'll get his turn against south sudan on wednesday Uh and the women's gymnastics team advanced to the team final yesterday despite jade carrey falling down During her floor routine now. She was the defending gold medal champion in that And she fell like she stepped off the floor a couple of times and there's just not a good performance Simone piles looking good very good. And I have to say love the costumes. Yes this year They don't scream red white and no USA. It's like very nice leotards. I'm really into them. They look so much They look so good. You know what country screams red white and blue is france Similar. They are red white Mashaan from the french swimming team is the talk of the town. I guess he's the guy everybody He's the michael felts of this year masha and by the way viva la france Uh, you know, I can't get over about the olympics is that the surfing is in tahiti In the surfing part of the olympics. You don't even go to france one of the craziest stories 15 000 miles away Colin joce is going to be there. Oh, wow. Yeah Well, they had to postpone the swimming events because the sun is filthy. Yeah, they're they're the yeah, there's bacteria Uh, we got to talk about the opening ceremonies say what you will about the sun It was amazing first time ever opening ceremonies were not in a stadium. Oh, I just loved the boats Yeah, I love celine. Those are my two favorite parts Yeah, all stages of opening ceremonies were along the river senate. It was very artistic There was so much going on Uh, the iron horse Rolling down the sun with the olympic flag, but again, they couldn't have shortened that cruising over I was I was at my parents. I was watching with them and we're like, what is this gonna end like? The guy in the horse in that? Yeah Even the iron horse was exhausting Uh, and then raffi on the dial and serena williams cruising down the sand with the olympic torch Uh, I've got to say though. I was crying when celine d on Close the ceremonies from the eiffel tower Again, I saw the documentary the celine documentary and when she performed at closing ceremonies I'm wondering how on earth is she doing this? It was opening ceremonies. I'll opening ceremonies She closed the opening ceremonies. We got to play a clip here Oh Oh my god, she sounds so good. She said better in french I get another possible. She was in the broadcast booth for opening ceremonies and was interrupting gaga's performance Yeah, so her mic was like three times as louder than the performance Well, if you know anything about her show, which is a very nice, you know Daytime talk show. She's known for talking over her guests It's like actually annoying you'll see like an interview clips were like she literally doesn't shut up Oh, and it's really annoying. I know oh you do well because you know, I produced the the top 30 countdown So I'm always pulling different audio. All right. She is a culprit man talks over everybody Yeah, can I just say one thing Peyton Manning who we love is always great with his brother Mike Tareko amazing and then kelly i'm reading such horrible things about them and their performance that night Uh, I didn't think Peyton was as good as he usually is Right, but also why you know, why weren't former olympians on the panel? Why did they go so Hard on celebrities. It was very random to have a football player and a singer I mean both commentaries in their own own right. I think Peyton does better in football because he's comfortable Yeah, you know, I mean and I I love snoop dog, but I didn't see the need like You know his content just didn't make a difference it was you know, I love I think it was the woman's water polo team It's sponsored by flavor flave. Oh because no one could afford to keep practicing and they couldn't afford their So player face paying for all of that. Yeah Uh, anyway, uh lady gaga, I guess is now engaged to michael polanski Well, she supposedly was talking about it on tick-tock over the weekend in arris. He's very handsome I don't even know who he is. I mean, he's not related to a woman for several years. I don't think so I don't think so to look that out. They just another polish guy Hey, there's nothing wrong. Not that there's a not at all Uh, the deadpool and wolverine movie smashing the box office this weekend 205 million in the us 438 million worldwide Wow, who boy? That's a lot of del Uh, so jennifer goner has a cameo in that movie She was at comic con over the weekend She got caught in an elevator for more than an hour with a bunch of other people And they all started singing 99 bottles of beer on the wall steps on this elevator. I need um He's a wolverine. I could use a dead pool. I could use someone I think I heard on an episode of like the office or booklet night night or something You're supposed to fit so we're sitting Gotta the beer on the wall. Not about all the beer. Yeah, we're we're second San Diego. It's working in the next 45 minutes Oh, yes Oh That's good ton of and you would freak out if you were just listening to them sitting there I have claustrophobia big time Uh matt dame and casey afflict showed up at the boston premiere of their movie the instigators Shot here in boston, and they also stopped by fenway park this weekend talked about the different parts of fenway park They shot the movie we shot in a few little areas around the park and Uh walking along the warning track and heading back into the back Equipment area back there. It's got a lot of like cool boston landmarks I think I think it's got a boston sensibility. So I think people from here will dig it Uh, they also shared red socks world series memories My first child was born in 2004 right before they won and then my second was born in '07 She right couldn't spring for that year and so I started to think that maybe I just had to keep having kids I remember standing on boils and street crying like a baby while those guys went by in the duck on the duck boats And then I ran down to the river and watch them go into the charles like that that was I was like what it did for me personally, but I think what it did for everybody in the city It was like this psychic was this incredible weight lifted off of everybody. Yeah. Yeah. What's kully clocks and thinking about that? Oh Uh their buddy ben afflic bought himself a 20 million dollar mansion over the weekend. Wow. So I guess that settles that alone Did you buy it alone? Yeah When are they gonna take the rings off? I don't know but you know we were talking about this off the year ben I love you ben, but you know, i'm 20 million dollar mansion if you're alone All those rooms are just gonna constantly remind you you're alone He has three children. They show it to me They've showed me the cover since the beginning and asked if I like them And some of them I like and some of them I don't like and I just that's all I say But I do not get the final say in fact sometimes my publisher doesn't get the final say a lot of times in fact my novel the island I don't know if anybody remembers that then he mounted 2010 I think the person that had the final say was walmart because walmart Seriously, I don't like we don't like that cover go back and You know big retailers like that often have a lot of persuasive power over the cover Wow, I never knew that so fascinating. Yeah, I know I'm glad I asked her that question because I always thought she I actually thought it was her on the cover Diving into the water It's her book. She should have some say on the cover right walmart. Yeah, that's amazing Um, the second question I asked her was how she announced to her publisher now again She wrote 27 books on the aisle about nantucket How did you tell your publisher that you were not going to be writing the nantucket books anymore? I did not tell them so I just announced it to the press No way Yeah, I announced it to the to ap and just said i'm retiring And then my publisher and my agents found out and so then They were what like what Oh, she said that if she would have told them They would have offered her so much money not to retire that it would have made the decision harder And she knew that she needed to step away So she didn't want the money to be like a weird thing in the back of her mind Which I really respect her for um, and then the third thing we touched on Was the netflix documentary the perfect couple. It's coming out on september 5th I knew in january that nicole kevin had signed on so nicole kevin is playing career And then I got the cast list on march 10th of 2023 and it was lab shryber As tag dakota fanning megan fae for the white lotus and efusen Um, who is in bad sisters, but who's also of course bono's daughter as the lead and uh and the cast honestly You guys goes on from there every single person you will recognize. It's a list like to the max Wow, that that's great. I know and I did ask her does she have a cameo in the film? It was weird his clip Is there any realm of possibility where you'd let me go to columbia close to recur or the Dominican Republic with just me and my friends just go Have you noticed that I don't like care anymore. I actually have noticed that and it's pissing me off Why didn't you care? That's why you can't get a rise out of me. Yeah, you don't care at all anymore I know it's kind of boring, right? I know I used to like hide my phone now She comes over and it's just like girl's ass is clapping on instagram and she's like girl power. No, I don't want to be bothered You're at that point of the relationship where you just don't even care at all either way no indifference Don't care. That's good. But I love you Now do you think that's real? That's good though. At least she loves them. Yeah. Oh, I think she's checked out Well, it's called quiet quitting your marriage But was it real or do they do it as part of the act? It seemed no, it seemed pretty real to me It seemed real to me Yeah, because she's been on before and you know, they've they've been very open about everything And she just sounds like she does not care anymore. Yeah, she's passed it Yeah, like whatever you columbia. Go ahead. Well, it makes me feel like i'm not kind of to shift blame to chris But like maybe there were things she was asking for him to adjust and he wasn't doing And she just got sick of asking and she's like, you know what if you don't care, I don't care Well, that's the thing. I think in relationships if you do have an you know, a nice conversation and you share Like hey, I'd really like if you would you know, maybe make a dinner reservation once in a while or whatever and the person doesn't do it After you've told them right that's a red flag. It's exhausting to keep saying hey, I need this Hey, can we please do this especially when you know it's like nothing crazy. You're asking for a million dollars You're asking can you put time aside for us? Can you you know show up for something and they're like, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah And they never do it. Yeah, that's a sign. Yeah, I think it's important too at a point in a relationship to have a talk You know, just like a casual talk say, huh? Talk to check in Something tells me with her she probably had many talks with him and he just wasn't evolving and you got it And you can hear it in that clip. Yeah, you know, he's just not getting it I love them. You don't get it. Do you? I just Yeah, okay, especially because he said oh you used to care you used to be mad about those things are annoyed and she's like, yeah It is what it is, but that's the bottom line. She's being honest. Well, here's what when do you know if your partner isn't being honest, right? I guess when he says that you know, um, he's watching, you know, booty's clapping on instagram And she just doesn't care. Yeah, you know if I pull out my phone and i'm watching oh god videos. Yeah, you know, i'm getting a smack on the head. Oh Yeah, you know Yeah, when do you know is the big question? What are the clues? But like when he and i were saying these are simple things This isn't like saying i i want you to be a millionaire, right? I know that's never gonna happen. Yeah, wait when your lover is not Listening to you that's a sign because it means that they do they really care right? But i will say in that clip that you played her saying at the end i love you that to me is very important Yes, even if they are having problems if you still love that person you'll be willing to work on it But is it one i got is it one of those things where it's i love you, but i'm not in love exactly. That's what i said Is that love enough? Yeah, i don't know because to be fair it like billy is love enough like she's like i love you But like you're not meeting any of my expectations, you know what i mean? And i'm sure i don't know how she is as a wife, but maybe she's meeting his needs because he seemed fine He does and she's like you don't get it, but i love you i think this was this was a wake-up call for him Yeah, and body language you better pull himself together a key You know there are signs you that jump right out at you it suggests i don't think this is going billy When did you know you asked me i was over you know you cannot go there just stop it stop it I just want to make sure my current one is still alive me too. I wasn't planning on it We're just sitting there having dinner and I said by the way, how are things going? Right. I think that that's a nice thing to bring up and ask. We had this little incident last year My wife and I where she was she was really stressed out and a big One of the things that was stressing her out was all the laundry. What do you know? Yes, I know It was like I wasn't getting it. I wasn't helping I never folded one piece of laundry in all of our our marriage And so she couldn't keep up with it all and she was complaining and I was like, well, that sucks You know, and then it came Someone suggested one Why don't you fold a piece of laundry? So then I made a decision that I would just start doing the laundry. I would just take it from her Yeah, so she hasn't folded one piece of laundry in a year Let me tell you there's no happier wife than a wife that doesn't have to do laundry. Oh god Well, I love that you guys shared in that but it goes back to Checking in and then if a partner is telling you something like I need you to do something differently and they don't Yeah, that's the clue that there could be something wrong because they'll give up eventually Like Chris's wife. She is Yeah Well, you know what now that I think of it my conversation the other day started weirdly because I just randomly said hey You know how I react to some things like like a real a hole sometimes and it's my OCD That just drives me crazy. The littlest things can drive said, you know, I I'm not doing that on purpose I kind of can't control it It said oh, yeah, I know I know because you know it's it said it's a weird condition like the little things can really trigger you Yeah, oh, she knows she knows you inside and out For sure, and I think so. Hi billy lisa when he and jason I'm listening to your segment um when relationships are over and I got my rude awakening In a four-year relationship when I got into a car crash On his way to his house in new jersey told of my car and he told me he couldn't come get me Or meet me at the hospital because he had to do his taxes. Oh, that's my story. Okay. Okay. Okay. Ouch that hurts Yeah, literally. Yeah that's that's not good. That's over You're in a car crash and he doesn't come because he uses taxes That's painful. I actually had that conversation with my ex You know that whole we've got issues thing and what needs to change And at the end of it, you know, I'm in tears and he looked at me and he goes You make really bad decisions So I waited six months left him and then he spent the next year and a half begging me to come back Which I didn't you know what that is.
