Listen back to Paul Cooney, Andy Walker and Craig Moore as they talk all things Scottish Football.

This is the Gore ideal football show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcasts. Call 08, 08 at 17, 17, 700. Let's go! Hello, Sunny in Glasgow and the West. This is Paul Cunney with Andy Walker, Celtic legend, and the Rangers legend in the form of Craig Moore. Andy, welcome back after the summer. Still very much summer. You're looking tan, fit, and you're up for it. Yeah. I'm really looking forward to this guys through ball season starting back. It's always gay when it comes round, and it's been too long, despite the Euros really looking forward to the domestic stuff. Your old team had double last seasons. It got to be a trouble this season, given the fact that the way things are with Rangers in trouble at the moment, off the field, and saying, look, they need to sail before they can buy. Yeah, every Celtic supporter I speak to is just a bit concerned that the club hasn't done any business, but I've got to say, even if they don't do any business, if they keep the squad that they've got now, as you mentioned, given Rangers' wars, I think Celte are still strong enough to win the title. I'm sure they will do business, but given the state that Rangers are in, Celte are looking strong favourites. Craig, your old team, it's not the summer you wanted. All the stuff off the pitch. I mean, this time last night, six o'clock, we had the chairman speaking, and Mark Whitty and Barry summarised it really well. What do you feel of it? We took from it that the stadium's not ready yet. We don't know when it is going to be ready. Maybe the end of September. And is that affecting the team on the day when kind of Galton has gone? We know the story, but there's not that much money coming into the club at the moment. Well, I think in terms of obviously the stadium scenario, that will be ready when it's ready. And when it is finished, it'll be a better situation for obviously the disabled supporters and that lot. So it'll be a better stadium. That has no concern in terms of the player's their focus. He's not on that. It's clearly on their preparation, getting themselves in prime condition for the season. The concern is obviously that the lack of funds, that are available to the manager and therefore the squad. And I still feel that range of six or seven players away from closing any kind of gap from Celtic last season. So therefore on the back of what Andy's just said, oh, I think Celtic going extremely strong favourites for this season, because I think they could lose two or three players, but they still have a core of what was already in place. Whereas Rangers, you know, through loans and through lack of funds, they need to try and be creative to bring in six or seven players that are going to gel and need to gel yesterday. So I think that that is personally too big a task for Phillip Clement and seeing recent performances. I was also in Berlin. Yeah, you were at the four, four of the weekend. Yeah, so again, there were some positive signs in terms of going forward and the goals that were scored, but defensively they need to be a lot stronger in open play and also at set plays because it's far too easy at this moment in time to score against Rangers. I don't know anyone who could make a case for Rangers having a squad that's strong enough to overcome Celtic. I'm sure Celtic will do business. It's maybe a bit disappointing they haven't done so up until now, but it's always that strange one with the season kicks off. You've still got a transfer window open until the end of the month. You've got the prospect of losing a big player, someone like O'Reilly, maybe Hatati, even allowing for that, I'm sure Celtic will do a bit of business to bring some players in, but you cannot make a case for Rangers when they've just lost Goldstone, they've lost Loonstrom and Barisich and Lammers and Roof, and I know they've got a lot of money off of the wage bill. I'm amazed that they're even considering losing Tavernier. I don't know a better right back that Rangers have had in the last 20, 30 years. Dave Tavernier, for you, the best player against was Gary Stevens. I thought he was exceptional, and I know that Rangers have had a lot of good right bags. I'm thinking of Perini, I'm thinking of a person, Alan Hudson. But no one has delivered the type of quality that Tavernier has delivered in. It just amazes me that so many Rangers fans are happy to see him go. It's a strange one, isn't it? Ever since 2000, when he said about the pressure at Rangers and the fans, and then of course, Rangers won it by 25 points to that season, the COVID season. But they've never really forgotten that, have they? With James Tavernier, despite all those goals. No, and look, Tavernier is unique in terms of... He's the output in terms of goals and assists and what have you... He's not matched by any football that is not, but the question and the tough one for Tavernier to take is that he's not had the trophies to showcase. And that's where a lot of players through the years starting at Gary Stevens, Alec Clelam was there. Sergio Prenier mentioned Fernando Ricks, and they were winning more trophies in that particular time. It's a tough one for Tavernier because he is a fantastic player, but I just think that he's there to be shot at, unfortunately, because of the lack of success. And as a player, it does, because I went through it myself, when the fans are mixed and they're giving you a hard time and you're jumping in the car after giving you an absolute all, and you're with your family, and you're hearing all the negative comments, and it plays on your mind and it weighs you down. Now, for Tavernier to have to go through that potentially another season on the back of what I think is going to be not a winning season for Rangers, I just think that if he had the opportunity to get out, I think for everybody, I think it's the best case scenario. At the end of the pitch, the big talking point is, is it going to be Lauren Shankman? Is he going to come in? We'll talk about that shortly. Oh, wait, wait, 17, 17, 700 Rangers fans. You've got Craig Moore here, who won, needs so much success. Every time I ask you, Craig, we can never quite remember how many titles and cups, but you were leading with success. - 12, 13, I think. - Right, okay. Not there, so I was fortunate, but again, I played in a great team, or great teams, with fantastic players, so I was very lucky. Andy, you played in some great Celtic teams as well. Not least, the double season winning in the centenary season, the league in the cup. I've got no long haul of trophies, like take-hars, but yeah, that's my best memory. Winning the league, winning the cup in my first season at Celtic, as you mentioned, playing in a really good team with some players that I just did work, Paul McSteer, Roy, and Tommy Burns, Pat Warner, guys like that, it was a lovely time. I was so sad to hear about Rosemary Burns dying very suddenly. And the way back from holiday, just a few weeks ago, Andy, so condolences to the family. Yeah. You know, I know you were so close to the family. Well, the family really did are proud and lovely words from everyone with regard to their dad as well, on occasion. And I felt for a good friend, Peter Grant, who did the first reading at the church, and it was very emotional. And I know he was really close, him and Lorraine, his wife, very close to the family, so really tough for them. And the bonds are so close with you all, as players, ex-players. I know Craig, you've been through it as well, with your sudden deaths in people. Yeah, there's a real bond. And actually, with Tommy Burns, he united the old family. We know the story, Walter Smith, helping to carry his coffins. I thought that was really sad to you, the news. Yeah, I hope I'm not insulting anyone. I mean, when I think of Tommy, he brings a smile to my face. I mean, he's been gone so long now, and I know that the family miss him every day. But when anyone brings his name up in conversation, I tend to smile knowing what type of person he was. And hopefully, the family can get to that stage with our mum quite quickly as well. For sure. So, since we were on last night with Barry and with Mark, they came out the traps last night. They were in good form. Yeah. And of course, then the Rangers chairman's speaking, because we said in the first time, he's going to have to come out in the next few days. He said he would, and he did last night. Rangers fans, what did you feel about it? He said the manager is all in. And the word "Cavi" came up a few times. Yeah. And what else about, he said he's one of the Rangers, you know, he's one of the people, as I think he said that a few times as well. So, what did you feel Rangers fans? And what are you thinking about this coming season? And for Celtic, Adamedia was the big name. He was the cup winner, along with the pal of Bernardo. Surprised he didn't get that business done. I was sure Adamedia, he pretty much done everything he'd, not only did he, you know, when you listened to Brendan, or just speak about him, he was absolutely glowing in his, you know, praise of what he was doing in the training ground. And this was a guy who could hardly get a game for Norwich, but he did well for Celtic. He got a couple of really vital goals that got him points. He scored, obviously, the winner in the cup final. He scored against Rangers at Iberics, which was a big goal. And I think he just endured himself to the Celtic support. And given his age, you know, given his potential, I thought Celtic would have got the business done. You still can't rule it out, of course. But I thought he would have been in for now. And they still might get him. And we mentioned last night, Fiorentina and Helis Verona are in for him as well. If you were Norwich, you would hold on as long as possible. I mean, the word was that he wanted to come to Glasgow, and why not Champions League? He could be playing in a Celtic team that Brendan Rodgers... Brendan Rodgers, I think, has type of striker. I know that Kyogo is exceptional, probably a number one striker. But Adam Indo, just his physicality, his strength, his power, he's the type of player that Brendan Rodgers likes to have as he's focal point in attack with the two weigmen. I just think that the importance of having someone different to Kyogo, I mean, it's a completely different player. He has that physical presence. He's able to really give defenders a hard time physically, plus he's got the pace and he's a fantastic goalscore. Norwich probably just waiting for the best deal, but I think Celtic are in a very, very strong position because there is reserves in terms of cash for Celtic. And I think as a manager, you want to try and have as less change as possible. So someone that's already been in the building to be able to come in, a game means that there's less concern about any kind of transition and come into a new club. So, yeah, I mean, we're still waiting. That business still could be done, Paul. It could. We will no doubt hear 31 days to go in the window. It's always strange, isn't it? It is. Yeah, the season starts. And of course, the Europa, they just finished what two weeks and two days ago. I said last night, seems ages ago. I know Scotland went out, what, five years ago? That's why it seems ages ago. I know, it's true. And then you're in Spain for a little bit. Well, when you're a special watcher. Yeah, I was in Maligar and when you watch Spain play against anyone in a Spanish bar. And even just the way they played, they were, I think, by quite some distance, the best side, absolutely fitting that they won it. I did fancy England beforehand. I still think they had the players. But maybe just didn't have the manager who's prepared to gamble on off. And it's gorgeous. Yeah, I think so. And I think Spain deserved one of us. Are you in for the manager's job? No, I'm joking back. Who do you think it would be? Any thoughts on that one? This is going to be, I mean, I see that you're friends have been mentioned a few times. You're, uh, no chance. No, no. Actually, you see, I mean, obviously, Graham Porter's been mentioned, isn't he? There's someone there. I think that's already in the, uh, the younger national team stood up. That's right. Yeah. It's a carsley. Yeah. The carsley. Eddie, how do you mention it? I tell you it would be a wonderful, wonderful appointment. Who? I don't think he would take the job, but you're going to clop. Yeah. He's always been mentioned. Yeah. I mean, I mean, just, you understand the media. The England jobs. The type of football. Yeah. The England jobs well paid, Craig, as you know, it's around, I don't know, it's around five. He got five, yeah. But he's on a bit of a 15, that was approved. Yeah. But the, the English F.A. would not. Stranger. We're going, going near that. You're for clop. Yeah. I don't think so. I think you're doing an amazing job. But he's always spoke about the desire to want to manage the, the German national team. Who knows what's next for, for club. Pre-season. Have you had pre-season where you played brilliantly and ended up with a per-season? Or have you had a, a pre-season where you had per-season? Yeah. I think about, I think, I would have a bit of mixed. Right. And I can remember even my first season going to Celty, where it was a wee bit, you know, just trying to take everything in, our first game, our first big game. The week before the season started was against Arsenal. Charlie Nicholas and, uh, come up with a really good Arsenal team, and that's how it pumped us. Five-one in Parkhead. And everyone was on a bit of a downer because the team had made a lot of changes. Uh, it was a new manager. Billy had come back in to take over from Devahe. But, you know, Billy Stark, make McCarthy, Chris Morris. Right. Yeah. Eventually, Joe Miller, Frank McKevaney. So it was a few changes, but, um, it was a great season. I think personally with the pre-season that I was involved in was, was my, my, my focus, my main focus was to make sure I come through pre-season, fit and healthy and ready to go. It's obviously great when you win a matches and you get that good feeling early. Um, but it's about being fit for that very first competitive match. That's really what it's all about for me. Sure is O8, O8, 17, 17, 700. Craig Moore, Polkany, and Andy Walker. Philip Clemon was speaking yesterday with Sky Sports because, obviously, they're in the news. It's quieter itself to get the moment, but we'll talk about it. We want to hear what you're thinking. What are you looking for? Celtic fans that center back in alongside Cameron Carter-Vickers. A left back alongside Greg Taylor. Although it's time to deal him in and be able to thought the great as well. It seems an easy deal to do about like last season when we thought it was an easy deal for Liam Scales to complete that. Took a bit of time, but got it done. And I'm sure Greg Taylor will get the deal he's looking for. But you're there, right? Celtic needs some different options. And I think there is an onus on the club just to, you know, just to freshen up, freshen the menu, the supporters pay their money every season. And they want to, quite rightly, I think. They want to see bigger and, um, you know, bigger challenges met head on. Celtic have got this really exciting Champions League format, but it just remains to be seen how much Celtic will invest to do any damage there. I think on the back of success, you must then go and strengthen, you know, two to three players that, you know, improve your start in 11. I think as a must and the teams that have done that over the years have hugely benefited from that. So I can understand why Celtic supporters will definitely like to see some new players come in and strengthen that starting 11. They are in a strong position to be able to to do that. But they've got a they've got a very solid squad anyway leading in, but I think just for the fans, I'd like to see new signings. Looks as though they've done well though with the goalkeeper's, particularly Kasper Schmeichel. I know he's 37 Andy, but he played really well against Chelsea in Man City. Yeah, I just think he's still got a lot to offer. And being that age, I don't think it takes anything away from the quality that some of these goalkeepers who've played at the very highest level that they have. He might be similar to Joe Hart in so much as he gives a couple of seasons, even if it's just the one. And you've got the the other one, what's his name's Sinazlo to take over, someone who's younger, maybe just learning from the very best in Kasper Schmeichel has been terrific over the last number of years. That's the time of the season, isn't it Andy? When we have to do the homework to get used to these names? The old days of it just being Billy Rich here, whatever, as before her time. But they've gone, they're John Fallon. Some names from the past. Oh, 808, 17, 17, 700. A lot of calls coming in, we're going in the lines in a moment or two. Let's hear Philippe Climono speaking. He was asked about Lauren Shanklin, and he said, "I don't want to go into specifics." We're finished, last year they talked about Shanklin, would he be coming? Around 3 million pounds. He's a Rangers fan, it's known, but he's captain at Hart's. He didn't want to be specific about the transfer process. If you can find one fan who's happy now about all the transfers done in a club, we will do a great job, I think. So it's all over in all the teams, all the squads that fans want more. And that's why they are fans also. That's normal. It's a busy period. It's also a period that started later than normal because of the euros. The club did already a lot of things inside the budget that we have. But we don't have a budget that we just spend money to spend money. So we need to do it wise and not only short-term, but also long-term. So like I said, a lot of the core of the club and the team left also. And also were above their 30s, so we need to reinvest also in younger players and in development for the future. So it's looking short-term and long-term. We'll talk more about that in a moment or two. That was him speaking with Sky Sports. Let's go to Tharzo. David is online, a Celtic fan. Good evening, David. Welcome back. Hi, welcome back, guys. Nice to hear you again. Yeah, good to hear you. How's the weather? It'll be late until what? 11 o'clock, just about in Tharzo. Yeah, 11 o'clock, 11 before the starts goes dark. Wow. So you're happy, obviously, the way the season ended for you with the double? What are you feeling so far for the new season? I'm feeling good, to be honest. I mean, I know it's dark to everyone. There's no goals yet. But the region's often improved. I don't think the region has improved at all. I mean, they spoke about the last season of an ice-cream experience for a team ready. I don't know about that yet. I thought he was doing last night talking about it. No, the rest of it, no, you'd quit a debt to the directors that they'll put out in soft mode. So we must forget the one that got spaded now. The light was quite open and out. That's what Thar's excited about is. Yeah, people are happy. Oh, it's a top, aren't they? Yeah, top, sorry. I mean, look, there's no luck involved, right, in terms of... Schmichael's an amazing goalkeeper. But I think it was six to nine months ago. Remember that goalkeeper at Real Madrid? Loonan was linked to Celtic. And again, would have been a fantastic option for Celtic. He managed to kick on and do what he'd done and done really well at Real Madrid. So it became not an option. But Schmichael's an amazing goalkeeper. Had a fantastic career and does seem a lot like the personality, the type of professional that Joe Hart was. And it looks as if he's going to be a wonderful, wonderful replacement. Yeah, but Andy, well, all of you, you know, Rangers are not in the Champions League. They may be the qualifiers, but for your club, in Dave's case, Celtic, are in the Champions League. So you can't just look at Rangers. Surely you'd want to say with eight games in the Champions League, Celtic want, must do better than they did in the old format. Yeah, it's a different format. And they're playing against the different teams. I think it's really exciting as it always is for supporters. I think there is an obligation on the club just to give the supporters a bit of excitement. They pay their money for season tickets. They want to make a mark in Europe. In all honesty, Celtic have been really disappointing in Europe over the last number of years. It's where they want to get better. It's where they want to improve. And I know a lot of Celtic fans, a bit like the club, that some would say they just want to be one step ahead, Rangers. But other supporters would rather that they were measured in terms of how good are we in Europe? What can we do? How can we win games at home and away from home? I think in Brendan Rodgers, you've got an elite manager, someone who would know what's required. Will it be given the tools? I don't know, so far. Sure. It doesn't seem like it. Well, so far, they haven't got anyone in that you would think, "Yeah, don't really make a mark in the Champions League this year." But as you said, there's still another month to go before that window closes. And you would imagine a good bit of business to be done. David, how do you feel about Europe and the importance of it? Yeah, I think it's very important. I think we need to talk about it ourselves in Europe, because that's what we've done over the last few years. And the board's hands, Brendan's made it obvious what he wants. We've got the money to do it, you know, I mean, he'd be really honest, we could be a board line at 10 million pound players and really not affect the bank violence we're going to say, and we're going to come for Champions League. So it's up to the board to get their side of the job done. The players have done their job. Brendan's done his job, so it's now up to the board to do their job. David, there's a chance to spend £9 million on three or four players. And that's why the reason it is because of the wages, isn't it? That go with, if you're a 10 million pound player, you're expecting 60, 70, 80 grand a week, Andy, would that be? Yeah, but what are you going to do with what you're going to do in Europe? What are you going to do in the Champions League? You might want to know a couple of games, but you've got just... The business model at Celtic, as much as it's there to be looked at, scrutinized, criticized, or applauded, whatever you want to do, there's no way Celtic are spending that amount of money just to get another couple of wins in Europe. And you absolutely, David, you want them to improve, you want them to get better in a European standing, you want them to win games at home and away, you want some sort of progress. But that type of investment is not on the cards, it's low, so they're going to be... In Europe, in Europe, you don't probably ignore the decent right now, it would be bad, it would be bad. There's no dropping into any other league from the new format. That's one, isn't it? No, it's gone. You either get through or you don't. But I think that, I think for Celtic, whether it was under Ange Post of Coglu, whether it's been slightly before that, and then even now Brendan, the improvement that has to be made absolutely is in Europe, as great a manager Brendan Rogers is, he has the worst Champions League history out of any coach. So there needs to be an improvement. It doesn't always come down to money, also. You know, that you look at some clubs that have done extremely well in Europe with not a strong budget, with not a strong budget. It's about how you handle those levels of situations that pop up in the European Knights, the big moments, the atmosphere, the pressure. And that's where Celtic, in the Champions League, have let themselves down. You're right, Craig. I mean, Celtic spent, what was it, a million on Kyogo? How much was minor? There was... 1 million, 1.2 million. These players, I think, have improved Celtic. They didn't cost a lot of money. And I know that there were anti-posterchogul who tight players. I mean, I hear the argument that if you spend a bit more, you're more liable to get a bit of quality. Totally understand that. But there's just no way Celtic are spending heavily that much money on three or four players. So they're not dreaming anymore of beating Barcelona at home and going into the final stages, Andy, which was what? You never... Well, I would never rule out Celtic getting a result at home against anyone. I know that in recent years, it's proved to be much more difficult. And the record, as David has said, has been a bit embarrassing, but under the lights, in Glasgow, in front of that crowd. But obviously, you look at the players, you look at the team, you look at the setup, and in recent years, it's been poor. Thanks a lot for the call, David. Coming up next, there's been an election, as we know. There was a by-election to be called when Laurie moved from... Well, it's Laurie now of quarantine. He's coming up next. This is the good radio football show. Listen live, weeknights from five, on goal. Let's go! Paul Cooney, Andy Walker, great neurologic calls coming in, and welcoming back for the first time this season. It's Laurie on the line from quarantine. Good evening, Laurie. Uh, Paul, good evening. Good evening, Andy. Good evening, very good. Hi, Laurie. Hi, Laurie. Welcome back to the show. Great to have you back, mate. Good to hear from you, right? Hey, I hope everybody had a good summer. Marvelous. We did, actually, yeah. I must say, yeah. You? Yeah. Guys, I'll tell you my observations to me. Hey, firstly, I know that Celtic have not far had a successful preseason. However, I think these things, you know, in contact. The whole idea of preseason is to get players much, but it has to get different combinations. Yield has to get young players an opportunity. So, well, it looks very impressive that Celtic have met in Manchester, that they're in Chelsea. Those stats do not appear in the record books. Yeah. They're not the angels who have had that rather and suffered a start to the season. Although, they can redeem themselves, and then it goes for a lot against an A and a Berlin weekend. Yeah. So, let me just mean that a comment, prepped my comment by cheating up. A cautionary tale here, I think. Yeah, cautionary tale. Yeah, I'm going forward to a season, Paul. With optimism, not wide-eyed optimism, because I'm probably at a caveat here. Every pundit and the dog is suggesting that, sorry, not just every pundit and the dog, but most Celtic supporters are suggesting that the common season is going to be a foregone conclusion. The other men just was not mine. I remember the fore, a Celtic computed for the opportune. They've won in ten seasons in a row, that they're over the coast from under a peak, Steven Jedi, the men just won the league by a 25-point margin and played the season undefeated. So, that's about mine. Now, moving on, I think, Paul, that's how Celtic's transfer and activity has been pretty limited. Unlike, he included the same in all of Casper's, Michael, Andy's, and the study. Steven, also, young for a damage gain. Yeah. Hey, I do feel that Celtic's subsequent transfer and activity will be contingent and conditional to sell and not or really. Hey, I think, I know that's Bob, a Fernando, an on board, but I think looking at Celtic, which has always been a successful business formula, that they will wait until Mataréal is gone, then they will sing other players. But I don't know how until Mataréal is out of the door. But why would that be a glory? Because they've got 80 or 90 million in the bank. And let's say another centre-half, which I know you would agree they need a left-back as well, alongside Greg Taylor to challenge. And there's a few possessions well away from Mataréal's position, that they would have to change. I'm not sure why they have to wait for this. Well, I'll tell you right, Paul, because Celtic's bestest module is very simple. They look specially, idly, on the Chanchere market. I think that Mataréal will have to be sold before they make any of the tools in the Chanchere market. Yeah, I agree with that. No, I don't, because I agree with you, that guy's stretch. But that's what I think. You know, I don't have social media, social media. A lot of people, very optimistically, are suggested by a really well-fetched 25 or 30 million pounds. I don't think so. No. I think Mataréal is 20 million pounds. Once he's gone and I don't have any doubts, he has, he's over gone. Then they will get proactive in the Chanchere market. But let me also add, I don't know a question, Paul. You know, there's not a lot of people. Of course, they, they, Clement, has almost been buried. They just have to go to make a move. I think players will go from my foot. Others will come in. So I don't think it's quite, you know, the shoots gap, as far a lot of people are anticipating. I'm a close-looking person that reads the panel science. That's good to hear because closely contested is what we want in the media. Andy, what about that? I remember, sorry, I also remember when Rangers were going for 10 in a row. And I remember the record had two teams. They said, here's Rangers. First team, probably. And here is the second team. And they both look stronger than Celtic. And of course, then Celtic won that season. Celtic had a good side. And, you know, Laurie talks about Stephen Gerard, winning the title. Stephen Gerard had a good side. This Rangers team, look at the players that have left. Lundstrom Barasic, came out rough. Silverano, he didn't do much. Lambers. Seema was a big loss. Seema is a lot. Goldson's a loss, whatever you think of him, because he's been successful. Absolutely. There's a, there's a potential of losing Tavernier, which I think is just extraordinary. Given his, I don't know, 120 odd goals. And maybe the same in terms of assists. It's just extraordinary. Really exceptional. So I think it always comes down to the team. And I think even now, Laurie with Celtic not doing a lot of business, I still think they have enough to win this title. I'm absolutely convinced they will do business. There's an obligation to the supporters to get some new players in to freshen up the menu, give them, give them a level of excitement in new players that they haven't seen before. But I don't know anyone who can make a case for Rangers. You listen to the manager talking about the bigger challenge than they anticipated. Bringing players in who, you know, they're not even ready to play. They need to, they need experience before they can play. It's, there's no one can make a serious case for Rangers to win this league. Craig, what would you say? I think in regards to Laurie's first point about O'Reilly. Celtic can lose Riley at whatever price, O'Reilly, sorry, at whatever price they want. They're in that stronger position. So it's whatever Celtic value O'Reilly at that he will go for, because the position is so, so strong. But then again, I think that they'll feel that. They'll have three profiles that they'll already be on a short list ready to go. So Celtic, there's no concerns there. Understand, Laurie, your point about you certainly can't take your eye off the ball and you have to respect your opponent and all those kind of things. The reality is we talk about on paper, but that doesn't win your matches. Celtic have got a far stronger squad already and Rangers certainly have work to do. And I think the biggest challenge for Clemente is to try and find those players that are able to gel quickly and have that mentality to be able to go and win games of football. I feel that his style of football is quite pragmatic and therefore, I would really be looking to go for players that a workman like that really want to compete, that really want to cover every blade of grass that do the basics very, very well, that fight for every ball. Two or three players that can make a difference. I would like to see those type of players, that type of DNA come to Rangers and then we don't know what's going to happen this season. But I think we all have to agree that at this moment in time, Celtic are clear, clear favourites with the squad that they have and what potentially they can still do. I mean, Rangers are looking at a line deals. Celtic can splash out five to 10 million if they want. Andy, back to Matt, really? What is it? What do you think is going to happen? Is there a £20 million? Would that be the future? Yes, I think if there's an offer of that magnitude, I think Celtic would do business, as Craig was suggesting earlier, that is their model. But whether he stays or goes, it shouldn't impact on the needs for another striker, it shouldn't impact on the needs for another centre back left back. Scott McKenna is out there, I think he's free, he's got Champions League experience, he plays for Scotland. I think he's a decent player, I thought he would be worthy of Celtic jersey and I think he would improve Celtic defensively. But I'm sure they have a lot of targets, I'm sure they have a lot of people on the radar. Everyone sings a player now and it's all down to their stats and how good they are and how effective they can be in certain situations. I've no doubt Celtic will do business. I think it's just disappointing for the supporters with a game, the league kicking off at the weekend, they've not really done much. Shea Charles has been mentioned, he's a midfielder, 20-year-old at Southampton, Northern Ireland, international and speculation. Would he be part of the deal with Matt or Riley, but it's speculation at the moment. In a striker, a four player has been mentioned from Columbus Crew in the MLS at Jason Russell Row, a young Canadian international. Well, they've already got a Canadian international, Alistair Johnson, I'm sure he would be given some sort of rapport on the potential of these players and again, it goes back to Celtic doing business with projects and people that don't cost a lot of money. I mean, it did work briefly for Rangers Craig with Aribo, he came in for a few hundred grand, and he was your own boss, and he was sold for Fortune, that's where Rangers need to. And I think as well, just on that, and John Bennett does touch on the player trading model, that player trading model for Rangers is three to five years away. When you look at the players, because a player trading model is buying younger players, but those younger players have to play week in week out. Now, I'll look at probably Conor Barron and Jeff T. May, that therefore, their value will go up the way. But that's a tough job. You've got to try and find for Rangers, they've got to try and find the combination of these project type players, lower end scale of money, but still try and win things, which are huge challenge. And just after the break, before you go, Laurie, we've got Gregor on the line. In fact, Gregory is on the bike, doesn't he? He's pulled over, he said it's absolutely gorgeous. So, I've been up to third, so we've been to Loch Lomond. He said, Laurie, do you think he does reconsidering Celtic's approach, because Kayogo is clearly the first choice? I mean, he apparently has been brilliant in pre-season. The manager said he loves his attitude, and he is saying, do you think Celtic should pip Rangers and get Lauren Shankland? So, what do you think, Laurie? I don't think Lauren Shankland would be a useless approach to Celtic. He's a very stable player. I don't think he fits the goal. To them, another team that has said that Celtic will not win the league, all I'm saying is that we should not be contentious, and it's much of a tremendous challenge. I think it's a life challenge. When Clomond took over Rangers last October, there was an eight-point differential, and then the season was an eight-point differential. So, arguably, there was only one point and it happens. Let's go just like this, a full-count conclusion. League takes us a quite good one. They're good to be out. Yeah, and you ask, I mean, we put our neck on the block at this stage every season. We talk about who we think will be champions, we talk about who we think will be relegated, and a couple of winners all the rest of it were there to be shot at. For sure. Laurie, thanks for your call. Gregory Ols also said, if you've got a party, he'll join it. He'll stand in the Lennox. A football by-election going on. Laurie, thank you so much for the call. Bernard Ponson beat up next. Now, that came up last season, just the fact he'd moved from Dennis, and thank you, Laurie, for that. Yeah, he's not the type of striker they're looking for. Lauren Shankland, is he? Or is he? Listen, if Lauren Shankland was to be a Celtic player, I think he would score goals. Everyone talks about what Lauren Shankland can't do, and maybe that cost us a wee bit in the euros. I think he was someone who deserved maybe a wee bit more game time, but give him a heavier strip, and I think he'll meet the challenge. If whether it's Celtic arrangers, I think he's got a pedigree that tells you he'll score goals in the top play at Scottish football. Greg, I'm going to ask you about that after this. This is the Go Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcast. Let's go! Paul Kinney with Smiling. Greg Moore and Andy Walkett. Yeah, I've got both of them smiling. Yes, you smell them. Traffic report. Good shout. Union Berlin at the weekend. So eight goals. That was a thriller. Again, Rangers actually scored some decent goals. Dessus took these two goals very well, which we know has been a criticism of him. But defensively, Rangers weren't great, and even for example, there's an incident in the second half. The biggest guy in the field is getting a free hitter from six yards out. That kind of thing is where I think Rangers need to be tighter, even from free kicks, corners, set plays, because a lot of the teams in Scotland in particular, that's how Rangers are going to be attacked, and you need to be able to be stronger. So that's a big improvement that Rangers need to make in that area. Offensively, they looked actually not too bad going forward. I thought Lawrence was excellent. Dessus took his two goals extremely well. He's the Enigma, isn't he? Dessus. He was reporting the papers this season. He's been coming in. People say, "I thought you were away." Because I've been so many people, you know, Connor Goldson was rumored. He has now gone, Tavanier. Is he going? And of course, Dessus is still there. But Danilo, back as well, but a little tick to me. Danilo, back, obviously, he's had some time out, Cortez back, had some time out. Do you read Danilo, Craig? Yeah, look, Danilo, even when he was fit, Andy, I never got the feeling that he's an out-of-out goal scorer. And again, that's rich coming from a central defender. But what is he as a more comfortable weight player? No, no, I think he's better through the middle. But what I'm saying, I don't think he's an instinctive striker. He'll want to take the extra touch. Whereas sometimes, as you know, a strike in the box, you don't get a lot of time. And look, him and Cortez are going to take a little bit time to get back to the best, because they've had a period of time out. What about Lauren Shankman? What would you do? I mean, you know how it's going at the moment. It'd be a huge PR coup for Rangers if they get the three million and sign Lauren Shankman. I mean, they've got hearts this weekend. Can you imagine if Rangers announce they've got him? I mean, it'd be huge. It would be huge. And I've been one of the bigger ones saying that I think for the last 12 months, 18 months, that Rangers should have gone for Shankman, because he will score your 20-30 goals. No question. You could look at it. Can you imagine he scores two goals and he beats you? Exactly. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. He could. You could have got him and knew you were on the bike foot after the first game. But the thing is, now Rangers, you're talking about loan deals. So Shanklin's off the table. Shanklin's off the table. Hearts wouldn't loan a player to a competitor. And Rangers are not going to pay two, three, four, five on a player that's over the age of where they're wanting to spend their money. Yeah, she heard that from John Bennett yesterday. Yeah. And I know you want to look long-term, but some people still think Rangers fans, some of them think if they paid the three million in January, they would have won the title. Just the psychology of it. I mean, how many goals did he score? 25 to 30 goals. Top score in the country. Yeah. Player of the year. He won everything. The player's player, the football writers, the singe player, everything. So I'm just thinking, and you know the way things can turn. Yeah. I would, to be fair, I'd probably be outside of it. He reigns in the sealtic. So you come January. I'd probably have a dash at any striker in Scotland that's above double figures. And I see you look at even Kevin Van Vee when he was at Manuel Floy in scoring. Well, the one we were all told about as well as in Scotland was in New York. Yeah. And I know he's a good player. Yeah. And I know he's got his problems at Aberdeen at the moment. He's been able for a while, but you wonder where he'll be by the time the window closes. Did you take him at Celtic? Would you want him, Andy? Would he fit that profile? For me, would, yeah. I think he put me off-skin a Celtic strip. I think he's clever enough to score goals. Whether it's the type of player that Brendan Rodgers wants to identify. And I think you've got to give Brendan Rodgers his say, and take the lead from him. He scored against Celtic, didn't he? Did well against Celtic? He scored against Celtic. Again, Celtic. Unrangers, and I think he showed a lot of good abilities, scored heavily for Aberdeen. And remember, Aberdeen were a bottom 16. Where would they have been without his goals? Yeah. I look at strikers as well, Andy. I'm not sure how you look at strikers in terms of that being your position, but I look at the range of finishes that they have in their locker. Yeah. And again, Miyoski is a good header of the ball. Obviously, he's really, really strong left foot. But he can score a special goal. He can score the tap in. He's got the little dink in his locker. He's got a great range of finishing. And you're right. In a stronger Aberdeen side, who knows what he could have done throughout the season. But I think he's a good talent. You make a great point about Lon Shrankman. I was looking at the positive side for Rangers, but if he scores for Hart's, if he beat Rangers. Every Rangers win. We've seen why. Given the money they've paid last summer, and it's bringing it back to listening to the chairman speak yesterday, you know, there've been so many managers come back to Giovanni Van Braunkherst, okay, Stephen Gerard. He'd the chance to go down to Villa, and he did. And there've been a few managers in and out. The one constant is the board. I know there's been a change at the top, but it's essentially the same board for the last, what, three, four, five years. It was Dave King, then Douglas Park, then John Bennett. They've put money into the club, but they've not got it right. Yeah, and who identifies the players? I know that most clubs you have almost a committee of people looking at players, potential seniors, the manager will have his thoughts. You look at all the stats, positive, negative. You look at what every player can come up with, you know, these vital stats that you have, depending on your position. And maybe it's just a case, maybe Rangers just don't fancy Shankland. And you know, there's been everyone talks about what he can't do, but look what he does in Scottish football. And I think for the last couple of years, he's been exceptional. Top, top, as well, I'm a little bit old school. I like to see maybe see when you have a board, as well, see the layers in terms of decision making. I think it takes time. I think you've got to go through too many different people. If you've got board members that are all over the world, which they do have. And I, for me, a head of recruitment report into the spawn director who should be, who should be man Mark and the head coach. He was coppable. And therefore, and then the chairman, then you get a decision. I just think that that process, it takes too long because of the amount of people that are involved at Rangers. Kevin's on the line of Celtic fine. Hi, Kevin, who's man marking you? Oh, the wife usually never go away for that one. How are you, Kevin? Yeah, I'm not bad, man. A long time low speak, but I have to be back after the euros and stuff like that. Yeah, it's good. They're looking forward to their looking forward to the new season, cutting off. Yeah, I was watching the preseason. I'm not, I'm not a big believer that you can read too much, isn't it? Of those fans, if you get, if you get scalped, you're down half head, if you play well, you get your confidence up a wee bit. And I think he'd take on three really good sides. I mean, that American side did 25 games in another season and cost them 24 mill and then you'd get Chelsea in man's side. Obviously, man's side was maybe kind of half of his health team, but Chelsea had a strong line up and I was in college and stuff. I don't know that they're just starting a PC, so I was really, really excited. I think there's been a few big plussies, but for me, like over go over the top, but the biggest plus has been cash plus. I mean, I knew cash plus medical was good, but I didn't know he was that good. I mean, so many saves, he's pulling off, he's absolutely incredible. I mean, it's just, it's just brilliant, brilliant to see what a shortstop on that boy, hasn't he's kicking? His distribution has been really impressive as well. But they're self-ting fans, point of view. The transfer market has been underwhelming. I mean, we've only seen two goalkeepers, a plan, come on, look at Sunday. I know they've been linked by a few boys, but let's get some deals out of the line. We've only got Kyogo now and I always have thought that either was at least 75% done, especially with the let-o-go, that gives you the feeling of what must be done then, but that's when all quiet, but like cash was when all quiet as well. It's just a bit underwhelming. I think that Kyogo might want to cover his years here, but I'm about to see if you can. I'll be riskin' one of our eyebrows. You can opportunity a barrier in this season. It just seems like we've took the third off the gas a wee bit and I could be wrong. We've got plenty of time left and we could end up with four or five new players and the minute I'm underwhelmed. I'd be amazed, Kevin, if Celtic don't get at least two or three players in of some standing, not just projects that this other keeper is from Finland, but I'd be amazed if Celtic didn't do some significant business. I know it's one of those really weird ones. It happens every season. The transfer window closes at the end of August. We tend to kick off the season in the first week. It's always you're hanging on for a month or so until you see the actual makeup of your team and you get the names in for European competition. You want to be excited at the prospect of Celtic doing some damage in Europe. I don't think anyone's really bought into that yet. Why wouldn't they, Andy? Why wouldn't they spend money wisely to cement the position as champions again? They're going for four in a row. Actually, to make a dent in Europe, although I hear you, you can't be spending. There's a limit to what you can spend there. Why wouldn't they? Well, I just thought Adamida was the easy business to do because he's already endeared himself to the Celtic support. He's already shown what he's capable of. Listen to Brendan, I'll just talk about him even when we didn't. He wasn't getting a game every week. I mean, Kiyoga was first choice, and he was still talking about Adamida being really exceptional and he's got all the talent and all the rest of it. I was sure that would have been one of the first bits of business to be done, but not yet. I'd be surprised if he don't go and get him. Still, I think fans are excited by new signings every year. You have your season. You succeed or you come up a little bit short, but fans want to see new signings every single season, and I'm sure you're expressing that, Kevin. Even as a player, to see new players come into the building, it raises a bar. Again, when I first moved over to the UK growing up watching a lot of Sir Daleks Ferguson, and I just remember his words and his interviews and on the back of success, always bring in two or three more. They're going to strengthen your 11 because success breeds success, but you've got to keep being aggressive with it. So I understand where you're coming from, Kevin. But there's a long way to go. In England's two weeks behind Scotland, doesn't it? Yes. Two weeks before it starts down there. It's only two weeks since the Euro is so long. Celtic will do, there's no doubt, but we all agree that Celtic will do business. It's just like it says as at the timing, Scotland, we started a little bit earlier. The Euro's went a little bit late. Business will be done, though. Kevin, do you still dream in the Euro's fight? In Europe, sorry, for Celtic for the Champions League, Andy was saying, there's only so much you can spend. There is a limit. What do you feel your ambition for Champions League? I think the ambition for us, as a Celtic fan, let's finish 24th. That's going to be the goal. Let's finish at least 24th and qualify. It's going to be really difficult because, obviously, the rate of the post, what do you get? I think it's two feet section, so there's no going to be straight forward. It's going to be really, really difficult, but I think the good thing is, is that if we can keep Matt O'Reilly, if we can keep Patain, 100%, we wouldn't say a ball film, but if we can keep the ball film, there's squads now made experiences. It's made time working on the Brendan Rodgers, so we'll keep him like that strong core. And then, I'd say a boldness, I'd say a position so the goal is to finish 24th. That's the goal. The goal, I think the goal, any Celtic supporter, I speak to, what is the Celtic winning a couple of games at home? They want to see them making a mark away from home. I think Celtic supporters are stimulated by this new Luke Champions League. It's not a home and away tie against same opposition. You get different opponents, and Celtic just want to be attack-minded. They want to be strong defensively. I think the way the squad is now, no one is overly excited about Europe at the moment, because there's been no freshness in the marketplace. You need players that you can look upon and think can give you special memories again. Kevin, you're barking there, or somebody is in the background. Thanks, Kevin. We'll speak to you soon. It's the good radio football show. Listen live, weeknights from 5 on goal. Volcanie, Andy Walker, and Craig Moore this time tomorrow, next piece of grants, we'll be here with Barry Ferguson. So we're back, 5-7, Craig just said a round tool, 6-7, but you're delighted. I thought he was a wee. Karen in the front door making sure we kept you in, door to manual for hour two. Craig Moore is here, multiple winner with Rangers, Andy Walker, multiple winner with Celtic. I'm not going to start to do all your clubs that used to do it with... Do you know that's four years ago yesterday when we kicked off this program? Really? And we're all still here, can you believe it? Marvelous. Major still July. The wind is still time. Changes can still be made absolutely anytime. Oh 8, oh 8, 17, 17, 700, looking forward to the new season. I do sense, but both of you, people love the fact it was a disappointment in the universe, there's no question, and it wasn't that much different from 2021, not really, and that we didn't, we went in with such hope and nearly everyone, seeing when it came to the Germany game, every one of us was saying, "Maybe I draw, I think we'll win." I hardly anyone said, "You know what, we're going to get pumped." Just far too cautious, and when you look at Albania, Georgia, and the level of adventure, I just wish we'd heard about that. I think that was the disappointing thing is because it just seemed like a tournament where everybody was having a go. You know, the games were entertaining, it was entertaining, even as you say, that Albania, Georgia, and then it was disappointing with the stock that Scotland have, and there's some great, great talent in that team. It was not inspiring, it wasn't impressive. The other thing, Paul, I think it was really well refried, and I know Willie Colum has taken over the new role, and I think Willie will do a good job. I think he's always been approachable, I think he's always been good company, and I really hope he can make a difference, because you saw it in the last World Cup, you saw it in the Euros, these are a group of officials who think, right, we are keeping these players on the pitch, because we'll try to sell a great product here, and less intervention from Var, a very high bar, high threshold set for some intervention, and I know there were still one or two issues. I mean, we had a definite penalty when Stuart Armstrong would do, but you'll always get controversy in football, no one wants to get rid of that, but I wish him well, and I think he will do a better job than Crawford Island. I think that World Cup and Euros, it normally has been top-notch. Now, I don't know whether that's down to resources or you're bringing the best of the best, so it has been a joy to watch there's no doubt about that. I mean, again, there was actually an incident over the weekend, there was nothing to do with VAR, an admin error, the motherboard party, this will gain which I was at, so that must have been hugely frustrating for Dulin, a particular issue, because he wanted to put a substitute on, that was on the paper team sheet, but that needs to be lodged online, and the officials haven't snapshoted both pages, so therefore the name wasn't on the list online. It's a terrible mistake from the officials, but if there is any truth in the idea that this will want the game to be replayed, or whatever happens, I don't think they've got anything to disturb them. We get officials playing mistakes pretty regularly, this is a terrible one, because this a player who's actually got a reputation for scoring goals late on, but I can't see a replay being and the motherboard have done nothing wrong. Of course, that's the thing, nothing to do with them whatsoever, but it's a tough one for the Jags, and it could be 100,000 pounds, it could be, to get a TV game. It's tough, but you need to suck it up. You do indeed, and with Willy Colin, we wish him all the very best, but will they allow the game to breathe? You can only hold it, nearly two years ago, when it came in. We were always older, don't we? They told us it would be minimum interference for maximum benefit, it won't be re-referried, we won't just give another opinion, and all of that, members actually, what they did do, and I just hope Willy can raise the bar, raise the threshold for for fouls, for yellow cards, certainly for red cards, and just try and let the game breathe away. But the thing about keeping in touch with the supporter who's actually had the game, whether it's through the Tanoi or some screens, some grounds, he was hoping it will improve. I just remember when it first, when it first come out, and Andy, you'd be nothing to yeah, it's quite important presentation. You had a spring in your step, you walked in, you were buzzing from the AR, and I go mate, I'm telling you, it's going to be a disaster. But I think we've had enough time that I'm going into the season optimistic, that it's going to be a far better showing, and you're right, it's a communication to the supporters. I still feel for the players also in terms of do I celebrate, do I not celebrate re-referring of the game, we just want to see it better, we hope everybody behind it is able to deliver because we don't want to be talking about VR every week, and one of the best things I thought well he said was we're going to speak to the players. I mean, the players are at the heart of this, and the idea that you didn't speak to the players in previous years, and tell them what you're thinking, bring them on board, bring them on side. I mean, they're big players play international football. I mean, they're used to this type of environment, and well, I'm glad they're doing it now, speaking to the players and trying to get a better relationship with them. But even on the field, sorry Paul, even on the field, and again, down at your experiences, the referees, the best referees were unbelievable communicators on the field. Yeah, they could say to you, couldn't they? They could. I say more, you reminded me, for by the way, do you just see your pass out two minutes ago, and there was a different field, there was a different management of the game. And I've still got an issue, Craig, with some referees who are running from 20 yards away, the red cards already on their hand, didn't they? They practically slap it on to your forehead. Come on, cheap players, well, better respect. Let's hope they do follow through. He has said the handball needs to be simplified. So what is the rule? Exactly. Well, nobody really knows, that's a nightmare. If you go back to a deliberate handball, it's a good move. And Paul, we will still get controversial incidents. But as long as you give the authority, in my view, give the authority to the man in the pitch who can sometimes be 10 yards away, he's seen it, he's made a decision. And then someone thinks, well, do you know what, I've got a better decision, so come over, I'm going to ask you to change your mind. It's not what VAR was brought in for. Go radio football show, thank you for that lecture from both of you there, you're on your high horse. No, I think you're both absolutely right. And let's what Willy Korn does well, because we had no referees at the Euros. I mean, that's poor, isn't it? Think of over the years, Andy, we always, I think always, didn't we, at the top? Well, we've always had representation, and we've no very previous big tournaments. And it can't be that VAR is in, so that the referees go to big tournaments. VAR should be here to help the players, to help the referees, to help the supporters understand that we're going to try and get the really big decisions, right? The idea that we're looking for penalties, we're looking for ways to punish players, that was always absurd. And the paying punters want 11 against 11. They do it by and large. I mean, obviously, if you're up against rivals, sure. But if you do something daft, of course you need to go off. But by and large, let's try and keep away from yellows and reds. Reagan sort out, if you can. Good evening. Welcome back, in new season. Reagan, how are you? I'm doing good for you. Yeah, we're really well. Thank you. It's good to hear you. Hopefully you've enjoyed the summer and more to come, the weather's looking good at the moment. Let's hope that continues. So we won't talk, Scott. Oh, look, can I just ask you on Scotland? Because I know you're a huge Scotland fan, and kind of Southgate's going at England, at Scotland, is Steve Clark, is he the man? And it's a straight question. I'm not saying he isn't. Is he the man now to take us on? We've got a really good, well, we've got a good squad. Some younger players coming in as well, not that we've got an edging squad. What do you feel? I feel that Steve Parks, he's probably the same boy that said to get one in England, Paul. He's probably too negative minded. I feel like I wasn't the last thing he was doing a big gym forest. I think you should have played just forest more. I think you should have played so many more. I think you should have been like aggressive, because I think in the front margin particular, I think it's going to be a point of one that generates the majority in the match. So for me, I think Steve Clark shouldn't have longer be the manager, but I think you should be up already for what he brought to the Scotland international team. Okay, and you'll definitely keep his job. I mean, he's got us to the last couple of euros. We have failed miserably with arguably better squads. You know, even when your good friend Barry was in squads and we thought we were going to get to major tournaments. It's a good habit. We've got to the last two euros. We do need to be more adventurous. You would hope that Steve Clark has learned that we bit as well, because when you look at what Albania were trying to do, Reagan and Georgia especially, we absolutely hammered in the group, but they were more adventurous than us and got to have our place. Look at Spain, well, I'm to them. We beat them. They're on the way there, Andy. Yeah, exactly that was because we beat in Spain, because we beat Norway. We thought, hang on a minute, we can take on the best of them here, but everyone was looking at us and, you know, come on, we didn't really show much. You become a victim of your own success, unfortunately. So Steve Clark and again, similar to Australia, qualify for World Cup, qualify for World Cup. Now all of a sudden qualification for a World Cup or in Steve Clark's situation at the Euros, that's no longer, that's no longer good enough. That's the expectation, and it's now okay, can you progress? So that is the price of successes, the bar continually rises. But again, with the squad that Scotland do have some wonderful players playing in the best leagues in the world, there's no reason why that can't continue to happen. Anyway, Reagan, you came on, I think, to talk about the domestic season, which kicks off, well, I know the League Cup, Premier Sports Cup's underway already, Celtic against Hibs, it's going to be Rangers St Johnson at their new home, temporary home at Hamden. Anyway, Reagan, how are you feeling about Sunday, come on up, coming to town? I thought I went forward to get by the Soviet party, it's good to end, but yeah, I think in terms of the Soviet, I'm just a little bit done with by the whole situation. I feel obviously the filter, and the sims are cyclical, where they always tend to do well and go on, and then they get there a year ago, they have been going to spend some money, and they never do it, they never decide to go that extra step. And I think that that's going to be not going for again, because if you don't like Brendan, then Brendan will go, you know, Brendan's not here to be able to do well. Brendan's told you by the end of August that he was present, that I'm telling you Paul, Brendan Rogers is not going to play the he was saying, he will be of the main set, that he will walk away from Celtic, you know? And he's already said, and I think I agree for what it's worth, that they will do business, and they'll do business, that probably will satisfy the Celtic fans. I mean, the days are saying, here's 10 million players are 50, it's not going to happen. The only way you satisfy supporters is when you see the proof of the pudding, doesn't matter whether you can spend £5 million on a player, but if he doesn't, if he's not up to it, then it's a poor buy, look at Celtic a few years ago with the goalkeeper Barcassus. But yeah, I would imagine, I just cannot foresee that we get to September, and Celtic haven't done some significant business in the transfer market. They've got a couple of goalkeepers in, I think that's a positive. Ideally, you would want an important player to be playing in your first league game of the season, just to send out the message that you're, not only are you a strong squad, but you're trying to get even stronger. It'd never mind what's gone on across in the other side of the city. That's always been a debate among Celtic supporters. As a club, did they just want to be a step in front of Rangers, and that's a disappointing attitude. Craig, you'd be astonished, wouldn't you? I would imagine if Celtic don't strengthen. Look, for me, Celtic will strengthen, but again, I understand in terms of the fans wanting to see new signings, because that always gives a real buzz and excitement looking forward to the first home game of the season. Obviously, that's just around the corner, and you want to go there and guess celebrate, but ready to go again for the common season. But I've no doubt, Reagan, no doubt whatsoever, that Celtic will be active, and they will bring a few players in. As long as they're the right players, I don't think you guys as supporters are going to be that bothered when those players do come in the door. Look at the business that was done when Ang came in, what's that, three years ago? Yeah. It was kind of late, I suppose, but my goodness, it happened really quickly. He just took another one, another Korean or a Japanese player, I think, to Tottenham as well, so he's not stopped on that market. Yeah. Reagan? I'm doing crazy, very good. Did that guy do you think he's involved? I stopped looking at that market because Reigns and Celtic weren't interested. No, I'm only joking. Listen, I'm sure I don't know too much about this player, but I've watched many, many games out in the region, Reagan, and the players are top quality. Technically very good, endurable, can run all day, and they're now showing that in the top leagues in the world, they're thriving. They're thriving, so I expect more to continue. I've done a couple of brighten games in the last couple of years. Mathuma, they are, and I think there was an interest in him from Ang Poista Koglu. He couldn't get him. He would have been sensational at Celtic, but he's tearing it up in the top flight of the English Premier League, so I think you're right, Craig, there has to be more talent like that, that is potentially untapped for the British market. Reagan, is that an exclusive from you? You said you've got an interest in Tottenham? Are you an associate of Daniel Levy? Have you got money in the London Giants? Come clean? No, I've got a membership for that, not about it, but you have been down to many games, Paul, but I am in... Some stadium, isn't it? Sorry to cut across you. That is one of the best in the world. I've not been near yet. My son's been on day, he says it's exceptional here. Reagan, are you going back down soon? Andy's available? Yeah, I'll be going there soon, Paul, yeah. Fantastic. I think you can tell me, Salty, Paul, thank you. I've been on this program many things, and we've always said, it's something that we'll ask back in a straight year, and I don't think I've changed over the many years. I think we all knew that Daniel Levy won't be going to be very good for Salty, and he's ready to improve, and I think that it's still the case this year, and I think in terms of bending logic, he said last week, to show the TV, he was two speakers, so clearly bending logic is on the board, they need someone that's ready to need, and they need to bring an approach, an approach, a project, paper, paper. For sure. It's true, because James was on saying what happens if, and let's hope not, we don't want any talk to her anywhere to be out, but if he was out for the weekend or soon. Well, if you're talking about two strikers, I think Salty and neither a winger, I think they need a centre back. I went to think about even another. Yeah, think about four or five wingers. Well, if you're counting Mikey Johnson, there's not many Celtic supporters that think he's going to add to the team, and I think they need a left back, maybe a left centre back. I've highlighted the fact that I thought Scott McKenna would have been a good bit of business, but I've no idea who they're targeting, but certainly I'm seeing at least two or three players that they would bring in. I think before I thought. It may be four or five. Craig, what do you think, central defender? It's a position you know, well, Scott McKenna? Yeah, I mean, obviously, nice to see him play a great size. We'll have a good experience, and if he's a free, is he a free? I think he is, there's, again, you're going to have a player that knows exactly what he's walking into. He's a Copenhagen, wasn't he, on loan? Yeah, he's back. Yeah. But so there is, there is tell now that Paul, the normally two players for every position now, so there's nothing behind Taylor is there, in terms of second option and left fullback really. So again, that's an area. The obvious area is that Andy touched on there, but I think the striker is going to be the marquee signing for you when that does come if it's not Adamida. Yeah, and if you look at maybe someone going out, a big player, like O'Reilly, like Hatati, I'm sure it will just be one, not both. But then, of course, you've got to try and replace that player. Regan, thanks a million. Good to hear you back. This is the good radio football show. Listen live, weeknights from five on goal. Let's go! Yep, kicks off this weekend for the premiership in Scotland, kicks off at 1230, hearts against last season's runners up, Rangers and League Cup holders. Mother will against Ross County at three. Mother will, of course, drawing. They lost on penalties, but they're through in the League Cup, the Premier Sports Cup, and the manager's Joe Kettlewell, not happy with that performance. Craig, you were there, Andy, former mother will play. We'll come to that in a moment or two. And then Sunday at one o'clock, kick off, it's the Derby. I think it's a great way to start the season. The Dundee Derby, Dundee United at home, at Tanadais, now the Karlforth Construction Arena. So, it's Dundee United, Dundee, it's back. You should always have a Derby opening weekend of the season, especially if you've got Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow. I think it's a brilliant fixture to start the season. Andy, I think we'll see you on the telly, it's in Meringue against Hibbs, good game as well, on Sunday. Well, hopefully, some men can do it on Thursday in their European second leg against Balour. They're at home, so if they can get through there, my goodness, that would give them a big boost. For sure. No, no, last weekend. Come on, of course, Kelly as well, Kelly can do it. Yeah, I watched it. Over in Belgium, Circle Bouge. It's going to be tough, isn't it? Yeah. Yeah, it would be brilliant. We need it as well for you. We really need it, don't we? We're coefficient. I know we don't tend to look at the coefficient in great detail, but we are plummeting down the rankings in it. It will affect the Scottish champions and their prospects of Champions League football. You would need to go through three, maybe even four qualifiers. And of course, this season, for next season, there's no automatic qualification for the champions. Yes, and that's going to prove to be difficult. And unless we all chip in, we're better results. It's going to be the same way or even worse. The Champions Celtic, it's the flag day, Celtic up against Comannock 430. I guess that's because there's no English football. At the top level, it's the big game on Sky. I take it. Yeah, Scottish football is good at its own market. It's good at its own draw. It's good good, obviously good crowds inside the stadium. I think the viewing figures for every game that's shown live, even in the BBC, for the championship and I'm afraid to know it. I think we've got a great market for Scottish football, and it's really exciting just to have it all back up and running again. And then Monday night, so it's a bit like England this weekend, doesn't it, Craig? We've got the Monday night match, and it's St. Johnson against Aberdeen, Jimmy Tilling. And people reckon, who's going to be? Second. Who's going to be second? I knew you were going to say that, actually. Is this going to be tough? I mean, let's see, the Rangers get off to a tough start away to hearts. Yeah, that's going to be an interesting match. There's no doubt about that. We spoke about Shangland. There could be a story either way. Let's be honest. The Derby is going to be a cracker. Our Aberdeen and Hibbs able to come back stronger this season and put on a better showing. You know, Derek McKinnis at Kilmanock, fantastic away fixture to the champion Celtic. He'll be really looking forward to that because he had a great start last season with results against Celtic and Rangers. So yeah, so much to be excited about and really looking forward to the season. Looking forward to it. We've been talking about Rangers the Cummings in going, same itself. We're going to go through all the clubs in a moment or two. What about Todd Cantwell? So this time last year, Rangers fans were pinning quite a lot on him. He started well, but he's now going. He's up for a transfer. He tabled a transfer request, which you don't hear too often these days. Philip Clanore spoke to Sky about this yesterday. I kept the door all the time open all these weeks because it's already a while ago that he came the first time. With that. So no, it's as long as a player is here and we believe in his qualities, the door is always open. But of course, we need to focus now on the guys who are totally with their minds in the club and to getting the results next couple of weeks. So we will see what happens. Andy, the good question. When is earlier, Craig? I don't think you know the answer, but this is unusual, isn't it? Look, I mean, the manager goes on about having a good relationship with Todd Cantwell. But when that time was, I do not know. But what I do know is if you have a player that does not want to be at the football club, the quicker you do business to get the player away, the better. Look, Todd Cantwell is a good player. There's no doubt about that. I think the reaction from Rangers supporters in regards to him moving on is mixed from the conversations that I've had. Some think he's amazing. Others go, you know what, happy to see the back of him. Do you know? I thought that he'd done OK. I don't think that he knocked out consistency to a top level. And I think in the bigger games, I don't think he tripped. I thought he was a type of player who played for himself. He loves his social media and trips himself up a couple of times by getting involved in all that social media footprint. And I think you need someone that you can rely on a bit more, someone who can be a game changer, someone who can make the difference. And I'm not sure he was ever that type of player. He's definitely got a good ability. But he seemed, in my view, he seemed to play very much for himself. Connor Goldson, the deal's done. He's gone. He's off to Harris Lymisole. Great. How will you remember him if you were on? Well, you are on just now. If I just asked you that question, it's on. How do you remember Connor Goldson? I think he had a fantastic career at Rangers. I think he was very, very reliable. Probably just until the last season there, we maybe missed a few matches. But prior to that, he was a guaranteed starter. Week in week out. He normally was one that showed up week in week out. So he can be proud of his time at the football club. And I don't think you will have too many Rangers supporters wishing anything but the best for him now on his new adventure at a new club. Do you think James Tavernier will be here for the new season? Or do you think he's going to go? There's been so much. I wouldn't be surprised if he's still at the football club. I wouldn't be surprised if he had the opportunity to get out and it worked for all parties that he's out either. I'm just surprised that it seems to be easy com, easy goal with Tavernier. I just think he's been an exceptional Rangers player with his goals, has assessed the way he plays. And Rangers will need to change their approach. They won't have this marauding goal scoring, goal assisting feedback. They might need to buy in a more defensive player. They'll need to put more emphasis on the guy in front of this new right back. If he does go, that has to be more productive from middle to front. Absolutely. I mean, what to have in the numbers that he's hit in terms of going forward for Rangers has been the best we've seen. It's the best we've seen. Like I said, it's just a shame that it didn't come with probably the amount of success that he would have wanted. And therefore, a lot more support would be on his side. But he's a fantastic player. There's no doubt about it. He's been at the club a long time. He's captain. I think it needs to be up to him when he decides to leave. And it may well be this season because I do start to think about the player's well-being at times. I know it's always easy to say, "Oh, you're learning great money. It's a professional deal with it." But it's not nice. It's not nice when there's negative comments thrown at you on a weekly basis all year every year because he's gave and continues to give his absolute all for the football club. And I think that needs to be respected as well. Yeah. On this guy interview, he was asked. Philip Clemon was asked what the chances of winning the title. I will put all my effort in that. And that's what we need to do. So we know, of course, there is a small renovation with a few details and they can build on their core. And we have a big rebuild. So let us first make a good foundation of this rebuild of our house and let us build our house the next couple of weeks and make the next couple of months to make it much stronger. And then it will be much stronger than it was six months ago. Obviously there, Andy, was comparing the refit with Celtic and the job that they have to do as well. A bit more than that. We knew we needed to make a rebuild of the squad. So a rebuild is not a renovation. Of course, as a manager, you like to do a renovation and to change one, two, three players and keep you a core of your team and grow out of last season. But that was not the case. So we had an older squad. We had also six players living for free. They were end of contract. So they changed a lot. So there's still a lot of work to do. And he was asked a bit more about the transfer process. And he was also talking about the conditioning, you know, the injuries they had at Rangers. And he did say that, Greg, didn't either. There were too many. We'd try and sort things out. We fixed things for sure. Not everything yet. You cannot do that in five weeks. That's impossible. But we almost didn't have injuries in the preseason. We had an unlucky one with Nicola Raskin with a bad tackle. Those things can happen with football. We had a few minor muscle things, but nothing major. So that's a big step forward. And like I said, several players who were injured the last two, three years, a lot, much more in preseason now. So there will be more a bust. But this is not the end of the preseason for them. The next two, three months will be also crucial to make them stronger and to make them better. So we need to make a good combination with me making them stronger and letting them play games and that they are ready for things. And of course, to win the games. That stays the most important. Alex has been on a big Rangers fan asking both of you. Anyone impressed you so far for this season. And Diamandie is a name that the Rangers fans love him. Yeah. Look, Diamandie, I thought even in the cup final, I thought really showed up. Again, I've seen him in preseason bits and pieces. And he looks for me as if he's starting to feel as if he belongs. I can see him getting stronger in terms of his body. No doubt. And he's going to be a really good footballer and four four rangers. Connor Barron's coming right again. He hasn't had a complete season. Obviously coming into Rangers. Big expectation. It's almost as if people expect him to go in and lead the team. It's 21 years of age. But I tell you what, he's got a huge heart, the kid. He's got a huge heart. He works extremely hard. But again, he's going to be someone that I think will be dipped in and out of the team this season. I've seen flashes of the Celtic stuff against Man City and also against Chelsea. They've looked very good. Actually, in transitional moments as well, because let's not forget that the messically Rangers as Celtic will have a lot of the ball and dominate, whereas there's a bit more space and freedom in preseason. But transition was in the pace of that Celtic have got that attack and edge. They've showed that in preseason. Matt O'Reilly, I think, is the big talking point, I think, so far for the start of the season. Just the amount of time now that Brendan Rodgers has been in at Celtic, he will be imposing on the players just what he wants. He style a play and it was taking him a bit of time to get that over. Celtic lost some very unexpected points at different stages last season. I don't think they'll lose as many of this time round, especially if they do some significant business in the transfer market. I think that's why they will be huge favourites. What do you think? You said at the top of the programme you reckon Celtic are going to make it four in a row? Without a doubt. I think they'll win it by quite some distance. I just cannot make any case for Rangers. I agree with Craig. I think Diamandis is a good player. He's very promising. I like Connor Barron. I think he'll probably play more often than not. I thought he was very good. I thought he could go to a bigger club. He's obviously now got a heavier jersey in Rangers and he'll need to carry that and show that he can perform at that level. You know, Ryan Jack made that move from Aberdeen to Rangers. I thought he was a good player. Connor Barron, maybe something similar. He's not a goalscorer and midfield player. I don't know whether he can add that to his game, Craig. Do you like Dijon Sterling? Yes. I like him. I just miss the game at the weekend. I cannot make a case for Rangers squad in comparison to Celtic's squad. I've just come off the back of winning the league in the cup and I just think they'll be better. This Rangers team without Lundstrom and Barisich and Kemal Roof and Goldson and potentially Tavenia, which is an extraordinary one for me, given his goals and assists. I cannot make a case for Rangers at all. Craig, lead to the spine. Still, the spine for me needs to be stronger. Butler's fantastic. Senna half pairing, I still think is at times a little bit soft in terms of what they give away and concede. The middle of the park is okay. Diamand, a good, very good player. Connor Barron, yes, young talent, competitive and what have you. Up top, Dessus, again, if Dessus scored the amount of chances that he's had at the football club, we would all be raving about him because his numbers would be phenomenal. Although he did take his two goals well against Union, Berlin, the spine needs to be strong or stronger than what it is. And the reserves, the depth and the squad, the players who are on the bench who can come on and make a difference. Influencer game, there's nothing better for a coach than you're making those substitutes and they're coming on and impacting the game, changing the game, finishing off a game. That's what you need. Can you see Rangers win the title? No. Look, again, there's a lot of ways that the season can pan out and I think it will still be close enough throughout the season. I don't think it's going to be a runaway job, Andy, but I just feel that Rangers are unfortunately going to be a work in progress and I just don't know if Clemont's got the magic wand to be able to bring so many players in that are required and from to Jill so quickly against a Celtic team that I think is probably getting stronger. So I think it's a big ask. He got amazing backing last night from John Bennett in that speech that he gave, you know, he, they are all in with if you leave Clemont, who's obviously all in. But if what you're seeing transpires in it, I think you're probably pretty accurate. When Rangers are losing games, it is really tough. The volume of criticism is enormous and the manager has to take it. The board, the club have to take it on behalf of him as well if as we're led to believe they're going to stand by him because the mistakes that they've made and what was it, John Bennett said, every October, we change the menu or we change the manager. It's that's going to be a real test and I think I think 100% that the Clemont must be backed, must be supported because the club has experienced far too much change in recent times and that makes the job even harder. So I think stability is key. I really do and I feel as if that, you know, I remember Ale McQuish when I come over as a young lad and he says listen son to be successful at this football club, you need to have thick skin. Everybody within that building this season are going to have to have thick skin because I think it is going to be a tough season and I think that they are going to be a team that will progress and develop but I don't think they're going to be a winning team in terms of the title. The traffic and travel, we're back with the boys tomorrow morning, Crofti and Gradle, Zoe keeping them in check, she'll keep you right up to date with the traffic and travel and we've the big winner Lauren from Renfrew yesterday, that was a good start to the week, wasn't it, Craig? She won £5,000 with her friends at Glasgow Taxis, £5,000. I love that, I love that. Any freezers, we're going to get some new ones for you. You always, we like some of the stuff you bring in, yeah. We've got a bit of time. Fair enough. And yeah, jumped in, as we're heading to the break, we're going to ask something else, I want to talk about all the clubs briefly but we're talking mainly. Seltic, I mean anyone can win a title. Sorry, anyone can win a cup. I think a title is different and the Celtic squad, I'm sure, will be even stronger than it is today and that's why I think they will quite comfortably take the title and I'm just expecting a lot more. From the likes of Hibbs and Aberdeen who finished in the bottom half last season, you don't want your big city clubs floundering in the bottom half of the table, you really do want clubs like Hubbs, Harts, Aberdeen, Dundee United and Dundee if they can get back to a good level of competition to be trying to take points off the big two. Tough start for Hibbs though when Mr Foley is saying that they are not listening to him, anti-seal club puts pressure in David Gray before the first league ball is kicked. Yeah it does and it just looks a bit messy when you've got a new manager in, you want to support him as much as you can, obviously you get a lot of negative comments when you're losing to Koey Harts albeit in a sort of pre-season environment but it is a competitive game and yeah they'll be up against it, it's going to be a tough one at the weekend against St Mirren, especially as we mentioned earlier, if St Mirren can get a really positive result, get through that tie against Valour on Thursday night. Who's going to come third if we take it's between the big two first and second, anyone disagree with that? No, so who's going to come third last season of course it was Harts? Yeah I'm going to go for Hibbs. Well you've got Hibbs? Well I think Hibbs are okay. I think you've got to improve. Well yeah, I'm, I'm, I'm interested, no that's a great show, that's a great show. Well now I'm like... Any other comments? No, I just think that I'm very interested and again I watched the game Come on up against Circle Bruges and I thought at that level they, they, they competed again and were very difficult to beat at home. Can they go another level this season? Can they, can they sneak third position? I think Harts are the favourite for third position. What about Aberdeen? Yeah, it depends on what we see and again just, just on the league in general Paul, so my football head, right? We need Aberdeen to be stronger, we need Hibbs to be stronger. You know, we, we, we need a strong league and that's what, look, the, the championships are wonderful league because we, we're looking at the teams and it's so competitive week in weaker. That's what we need to see in the Scottish Premier League. So few clubs need to raise the bar and there's a few clubs, you know, likes at Comarnica. They'll be looking at, trying to push on again from last season. So Mira had a fantastic season again. Dundee I thought punched well above their weight last season. So be interesting to see what Dundee and I did. I like coming back up to the top flight because their pre-season stuff has been, let's say, a little bit up and down. Yeah, and I know you're going to ask me for a relegation team. So this year I'll go with... I think St. John St. John's. Yeah. And I'll bet it will be a tough, so I think I said St. John's in last season and they managed to find a way. Yeah, really, really tough. They're all... So John St. Ross County, you know, Ross County are used to being in that sort of... I love that position. They love that position to fight the way out at the last minute. What about Motherwell, your club, Andy? Well, you saw them at the weekend. The draw, Nell Nell was partic, they're sort of struck out a well, not happy. Rightfully so, it wasn't a great performance. I thought partic showed up real well in that particular match. It wasn't a great deal of chances created. The challenge for Motherwell, Paul, is, you know, you look at a couple of seasons back then they lost Kevin Van Veen, then they had a good goal score last season at the NBA, they lose that place. So again, having a replace a striker all the time is difficult to then deliver goals. Motherwell, I don't believe we'll be in the top half. No. No. I think he could be, and I take your point about losing the goals of your beer and the... I mean, Motherwell has done so well to get him in for nothing and to make whatever it was they made for him, maybe close to seven figures, but they always seem to come up with a player up front. I've mentioned this before, the likes of Van Veen, Theobear, they'd Michael Higdon. I remember the guy Blackman, Yukkovich was also a really good player for Motherwell. So hopefully they can find the goals again, and I am going to tip them to finish in the top six. Up six, I see Paul McGinn is the captain, and I read him on paper yesterday. No, I'm not asking my two brothers, I'm not asking those two numptakes for advice. He was jocular, of course, because John Captain of Aston Villa, and until weeks ago then, Invincible Steven was the captain of Falkirk, but he's retired with distinction and he's now under 18's coach. Tremendous. Tremendous footballing family, but good one, Paul, just to be a captain of such a great club. I've got so many fine memories of my team at Motherwell, and always hoping that they'll do well. Pets looked amazing, by the way. Pets looked amazing. It was in top order. We were there two years ago when they were playing member of the Irish team, and then the pitch looked amazing, and what a deal with performance. Graham Alexander left the building within a few days, didn't he? So, I'm really hoping Motherwell can just start off really well. I know they've got a tough one at home against Ross County, everyone expecting them to get all three points. He was hoping they do. And Saint Maryne, you mentioned them what a season last year, Craig, wasn't it? Yeah, absolutely. And European football, for the first time since 1987. Correct. Yeah, and our huge, Stephen Roberts has done a wonderful job there. He then backed it up last season and doing an amazing job. He'll be looking to go again. That experience now for him in European football, and now they come up against the Icelandic team who were 15 games, I believe, into their season. So, they probably had the edge. They come back and bring that tie back to Scotland. So, they've got a great chance to get through to the next stage. And I'm sure they'll be in the top six again this season. Looking to some of the fixtures that's been announced today by television, the League Cup fixtures, Premier Sports Cup. So, Rangers, the holders against St. Johnson is going to be on Saturday, August the 17th, 545 kickoff live on Premier Sports. Celtic Hebs on Sunday, the 18th, 3 o'clock is penciled in at the moment. So, that's coming up pretty soon. Looking forward to this weekend, just checking to see if there's any news of any signings today. It's that time 31 days down the window. A lot will happen between now and then. And probably in some ways, that's when you should give your predictions. But the season by then in Scotland is on the way. Or head will be in the chopping block before then, that's for sure. It certainly will be. Craig, a few people are on saying, "Was Rangers playing at Hamden?" I mean, clearly it's not what you would have wanted. Is it going to affect Rangers the start to the season? Again, all I could say is, I hope not. I mean, obviously it's not, you know, it's fantastic to play at iBox. It's fantastic for the players to play at home and the support is unbelievable. The supporters will be looking now to try and create the same kind of feel. It'll never be the same but A atmosphere that's going to help the players get over the line. But at the end of the day, it's down to the players to go out and be professional. I don't know what this surface is going to be like. There's obviously been a few things that have been happening on the pitch with various concerts and whatnot. I know the pitch will be, yeah, I know the pitch will be relayed. But sometimes it doesn't take as quickly as you would like. We don't get much rain in Scotland. And for Celtic Andy, in the last couple of minutes of the program, so you fully expect you think that they're going to win the title? Yes. And it's success looked like a treble. I mean, that can sound whatever you say on that early on. Honestly, it's just all about the title. And of course, given the remarkable success that Celtic have had over the last, what, 20 years or so when they did quadruple a treble. So yeah, it's what the supporters expect. But as long as Celtic won the title, I think that is always your main priority. And Celtic won't just do better and you'd be recognised as a much more difficult team to play against on the continent. And Craig, few people on asking about Robby McCrory off to come on and wishing him all the best. Absolutely. He's a really good keeper. Liam Kelly coming in. Does that mean that Jack Butler will be going or? I know the manager has said, look, the one person not for sale is Jack Butler. I don't see Jack Butler leaving the football club. He's an amazing character, let alone goalkeeper. I think he's hugely important to this team moving forward. He's going to be captain. If James Taffanyer goes. I think if, you know, I think it would be certainly the most logical decision if James Taffanyer wasn't at the club. Do you think or what this new thing from the referees, whether you only speak to the captains or not? I quite like it because I think that referees shouldn't be bombarded and I think, you know, you understand the rules, the boundaries. I like it. You see it too. And obviously, if Jack Butler is the captain, you obviously don't need a goalkeeper running 50-60 yards to talk to our referee. You can get another nominated outfield player if your goalkeeper is the captain. But I think it's a good thing just to try and get away from that mobbing aspect that Willie Colin was talking about. And as much as you want players to show a bit more respect to the officials, you absolutely want the other way around as well. Can you believe that's the time up? That was just like in her, wasn't it? Yeah, that was, it went quick. Enjoyed it. Great. Thank you so much. We'll see you soon. Both of you. Thank you so much, Andy. Thank you, Paul.
