116: A House Divided
July 11, 2024, 116 days left. A house divided. I was feeling hopeful that France had a shock election where the expectation of the right, not the reality of the left. Now I read there will be a hung parliament. There is no majority and you need a majority to get shit done. Here on our home front, is there a majority to get shit done? Polls, polls everywhere it's polls. If I hear the word one more time, my eyes are going to roll. Will it be the old guy who's sundown at the debate or the old guy who is a deranged psychopath in bed with fascists looking to get his bucket of felonies pardoned? There will always be an America who idealizes the past and an America who idealizes the future. There will always be stay the same versus change it up. There will always be blood in our streets. Nowhere you stand in this house divided.
