Minnesota history was made on Tuesday evening, when Garrison McMurtrey was elected to the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners. With his victory, McMurtrey became the first Black man to be elected to a county board in the history of the state of Minnesota. McMurtrey talks with Sheletta about his excitement for his new position and his decision making process in choosing to run for local government. They also get into some of his goals to impact communities across Ramsey County.
