AP News. I'm Ed Dunney. Border security. Possible government shutdown and aid for Ukraine and Israel were all discussed at the White House today by President Biden and the four top leaders in Congress. The stalemate over aid for Ukraine continues and the White House wants the House Republican leader to move faster. Here's the AP soccer McGonney. Speaker Mike Johnson still is not committing to a vote on the aid package but says the House is looking at options. And we will address that in a timely manner. At the White House. What do you mean by that? I can tell you, to the Ukrainian soldier on the battlefront, timely as is now. National security spokesman John Kirby. We're already in some ways too late. Saying Ukrainian forces have lost one key town due, in part, to a lack of ammunition. They are certainly beginning to lose territory, territory that they had clawed back from the Russians and now they have to give it back to the Russians because they can't fight them off. The Dow down 96 points. This is AP news. Two men have been convicted in the 2002 killing of run DMC's Jam Master J. The AP's Margie Zaraletta has the story. A federal jury in New York has found Ronald Washington and Carl Jordan Jr. guilty in the death of Jam Master J who was shot in his studio more than 20 years ago. Washington was an old friend who was staying at J's sister's house while Jordan is J's son, prosecutor said the two men shot J for cutting them out of a cocaine deal. A witness testified seeing Jordan exchange a friendly greeting with J moments before shots rang out. Neither Washington nor Jordan testified. Authorities had named Washington as a suspect as long ago as 2007. Both men were arrested in 2020. I'm Archie Zaraletta. A man in Washington state Travis Branson accused of helping kill more than 3,000 birds, including eagles on a Montana Indian reservation than illegally selling their feathers, plans to plead guilty to illegal wildlife trafficking and other charges.
