I've just called it a temporary ceasefire myself. That would allow for several weeks, hopefully up to six, where there would be no fighting, so that we can get all the hostages out, increase the flow of humanitarian assistance, but just as critically get the fighting stopped. >> Israel and Hamas have been downplaying the talks. The four top leaders in Congress met at the White House with President Biden. >> We got a lot of work to do. >> There is aid to Ukraine and Israel, border security, and the possibility of a partial government shutdown. Speaker Mike Johnson's priority is border security. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer says it should be Ukraine. The intensity in that room was surprising to me, but because of the passion of the president, the vice president, leader, leader, Jeffries, Speaker, leader McConnell, and myself, it was. And Johnson tried to answer and he made it clear he wants to do something on the border. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen is offering her strongest public support yet for the idea of liquidating roughly $300 billion in frozen Russian central bank assets and using them for Ukraine's long term reconstruction. The conference board says consumers are feeling less confident this month about the economy as concerns over a possible recession grew despite most indicators pointing to a healthy economy. The migrants were referred back to the shelter system.
