AP News, I'm Ed Donny, Israel and Hamas are playing down President Biden's comments that there could soon be a ceasefire in Gaza. Gaza's health ministry says more than 90 bodies have been brought to hospitals over the last 24 hours. More from the AP's Karen Shamas. Meanwhile, in Rafa, in southern Gaza, residents picked through the wreckage of a building. Neighbor Yasser al-Affi-Fei said the building had been full of at least 100 displaced people, who were mainly women and children. He told the AP. "We took the bodies out of this building, the scenes were frightening, I can't understand how long of this situation lasts." Two women arrived to where several wrapped bodies are laid out on the ground. They cry in disbelief at what they're seeing. A man silently opens the body bag of a young child. He cries silently as he rubs his own face in despair. Rafa has come under weeks of Israeli bombardment despite some 1.4 million Palestinians seeking safety in the city. I'm Karen Shamas.
