AP News, I'm Ben Thomas. The Supreme Court's moving fast, saying it will decide whether Donald Trump can be criminally prosecuted and charged as he interfered with the 2020 election. Sagamogani has details. Lower courts have rejected Trump's novel claims that former presidents have absolute immunity for actions falling within their official job duties. It appeals panel here in Washington had ruled a federal judge was right to say that the case against Trump can proceed and he can be prosecuted for actions while in the White House and leading up to the Capitol riot. The high court justices are moving fast, saying they will hear arguments in late April and make a decision no later than the end of June. Sagamogani, Washington. Speaker Mike Johnson says he'll put a tentative deal that will prevent a government shutdown to a vote Thursday. Police for temporary funding in the Senate will also need to vote before Friday's deadline. Israeli officials say aid convoys with food have reached northern Gaza, the first major delivery in a month. The UN has warned of worsening starvation there. Meantime international mediators continue to work on a ceasefire deal. A cluster of wildfires has been scorching the Texas panhandle, including one of the largest in state history. The Eurasian Eagle Owl died Friday after hitting a building according to the Wildlife Conservation Society. Although final neckruptcy findings are still pending, Flaco lived most of his 13 years at the Central Park Zoo until someone cut open his cage last February and the owl flew out.
