A memorial grows in Central Park for an owl, Flacco, who was killed. There's a change.org petition for a Flacco statue and the Flacco Act. Feathers' lives also count to make buildings safer for birds, particularly the windows. The Eurasian eagle owl died Friday after hitting a building according to the Wildlife Conservation Society. Although final neckruptcy findings are still pending, Flacco lived most of his 13 years at the Central Park Zoo until someone cut open his cage last February and the owl flew out.
