Welcome to the board game snobs podcast critically harsh reviews with a touch of class And and welcome the board game snobs podcast, I'm Gaby and what we're gonna talk about today What are we on? Did you know in 1847 a doctor performed an amputation in 25 seconds Operating so quickly that he accidentally amputated his assistant's fingers along with a patient's leg Both later died of sepsis and a spectator reportedly died of shock Resulting in the only known procedure with a 300% mortality rate. He just chopped the leg off Like a yeah, like with an axe. I mean how well it took 25 seconds a couple chops Does take to be rough actually it didn't say why he chopped off. It just says an amputation We said a leg you assume they he was stamping leg when that amputated leg now. They use this little chainsaw thing That's literally a chain That's not it's not you just wrap it around the leg and then by hand not like an automatic gas-powered thing really Cut off by hand. Yeah Maybe I'd be horrendous. No, it wasn't do they knock you out. What do you think? That'll stick Drinks of whiskey. Oh, see this is this is not this is I've seen dances with wolves That's what they did. Do you think they're doing that now give them some whiskey? Do you think they're doing that now give me an old rusty salt not doing that now? Especially don't have insurance you don't have insurance you don't have insurance get ready for that Get take your to bring your own stick. I have a guillotine put your put your leg in there get Us a guillotine. Oh, yeah. Well, I'm I prefer the French the French term you tea a team You're I bet you're one of those people that when you pronounce something you try to do the accent. No, I do not My head is you just a certain jinn is equal Yeah, yes, you know, I am not one of those people because I used to work with a couple of Hispanic ladies mm-hmm, and she would be talking completely normal to me until she got to a Spanish Food which that's their culture. I understand but why the emphasis because that's Point to your point. It's very irritating when it is like this white guy who's American that doesn't speak Spanish that all of a sudden It's good. I was watching television. Oh, you know, dude. No money says television Oh television is like nobody said no, but it's me like me saying I'm going to go over here and eat this I know but I it's weird when I'm speaking in a completely normal dialect. It's a lot. Oh, wow. I just said normal I know I'm glad your closeted racism just coming out Because you just keep you just keep striking out. You just keep coming at it. And it's like wow I need to do some Stuff examination be better do better. You're right. I'm gonna be better good What were we saying? I don't know. I shouldn't say anything They're talking about accents unless you say burrito What was what we're talking about? I wouldn't we started off on amputations. Ah yes, that was cut short. Yeah me You're not this is me. You're nothing like this. I am This is who I am Much nicer person these days. No, actually this is just him. I'm not changed your tumors changed you. No, it hasn't now It's gone. No, i'm not changed all your personality was in your table I am nothing. I'm none the same as you were like super bland and boring No opinions I thought I liked this game a lot. I really in the ticket to ride. I like it a lot There's anything wrong with that. I thought that there's anything in my and my humble opinion my opinion I like it a lot subjectively That was that was pt post tumor jerry. I like this a lot My name's eric summer. I like it a lot eric summer likes everything See you don't say something like that and hurt somebody's feet. I'm not hurt eric summer's feelings He doesn't know me. You're saying he likes everything. He does he does he doesn't talk bad about anything Which I actually appreciate that To have somebody who's overly positive in this industry that is nothing but negative. Look at you crawfish I'm not crawfish interesting. How do you go that fast backwards? I'm not going backwards I just pointed out that eric summoner likes everything. That's that's what I said summons nothing Well, he summons like a bullness. He likes the summer and he has an excellent voice I wish I see him at the dice tower tree I want to ask him to shoot a new intro force. I'm sure he won't. Are we part of the dice tower? No, you just give him five bucks and he'll do it He's a voice actor. He's a voice actor. Give him no green handshake But you talk to this mach for me here I'm gonna cover the george washington's better say welcome to the board games now I gotta Andrew Jackson wants to sit here Well, I'll get Dan Dan could do a new intro force We got been are we kicking out being? No, love he hasn't come on our show in a while. We don't need him come on our show his show is doing great His show. I guess is doing great. Have you listened to it lately doing good. He's got a great discord I was the uh discord commenter of the month mentioned that like yeah three months ago Well, I yes because I I participated in a community So, how about your own? I do I know you do not know I'm you like you're like a submarine You just stay gone forever and then you surface post like six things and then you're gone again Summarines. Yes, those are dangerous Those nuclear vessels nuclear vessels come up when you least expect them. Yeah, there you go down Rotten hunt for red. I'm talking about things going on. Yeah, that's me. That's me Well, you should be more on discord. All right. Well, I'm killing it on face Are we gonna have jerry bear on we do desperately? Not you but the other one. Yes, desperately the game theorist and the game theorist I need to have him on I have things I want to talk to him about About games in theory Maybe we could do that on the discord. Do it live do a thing. How do you do that? You push a button? I don't know You're the one wanting to get on it. Oh and then shame in me and then you don't know just post words I post words. Oh, you don't very rarely. I have posted you go back and look I've posted more than you Fuck in the past couple weeks your past couple weeks the past two weeks jerry showed up Well, you haven't been saying been holding it down for years If it wasn't for ryan Well, that's true. Oh, I'm not out there near that much. Yes. Thank you ryan Dave dorian Phoenix story and loose soma All those they're keeping it together and you're like all of jerry listen all the middle aged white men in our discord Wow, you're offending everybody We've lost since the couple podcasts ago. We had three listeners in korea gone Now what are you doing but our listeners in china have grown exponentially the acolyte people you've done insulted them Hey, you can enjoy your stuff. Especially after your comments. Everybody knows how you feel about women You just you just keep i'm married to one You just keep making it harder for us to grow and to be inclusive. I try to grow you do You very much do and that's what i like about you. Thank you anyways, my point being Is that you should just kind of consider your words a little bit more as do I I'm gearing up. I've been recently trying to learn some british slang Uh, so I could talk to dan and evan. Yeah, I know you've got away down Yeah, okay. What else? Well, I've got sidetracked on that. I was looking up more of like a Um, the etymology of certain words found that very fast now. I've been sidetracked looking up stuff about that. Do you know um Where do you know they say like? Jesus like you let the cat out of the bag. Uh-huh. Where did that come from? No idea. Have you had to guess? Okay, so if i'm gonna guess where this phrase is, let's see cat Listen, I'd like for you not to guess back in the 13th century. I don't want you to guess Queen Elizabeth. I don't want you to get fighting against the spanish armada Here's why I don't want you to guess she had all these cats on these boats Here's why I don't why I don't want you to guess because you always guess when I start talking about stuff and you don't let me Just tell the story. Oh, well you asked me to ask. I preemptively asked you so I could then stop you So that now I can continue on see tactics So what are things that peasants back in medieval time love this a question for me to answer? Okay, that's what I need to know every question I ask you unless I tell you if rhetorical No need wow Pigs they loved pigs because pigs was something that they could raise And so typically they were medieval peasants. So I was right when I said 13th century No, but medieval peasants. Do you think that's when the medieval times were medieval times are in Dallas When they would go and buy piglets have you ever held a pig? Of course you have it They are known for being quite a wiry squirmy squirmy you cannot hold them So typically the people that would sell said piglets would put them in burlap bags And sell them to people and people in the market, of course Didn't want to open the bag because the pig would get out you literally took your piggies to the market Yes Did you count your toes little piggy goes in the market? Yes, that's where that yes We all the way home You realize it's about killing pigs, right? No, it is about killing pigs off and off to amputate and toes right killing pigs So they carried the burlap bag home, but a lot of times people who would want to cheat and defraud people Would put a similar size animal in said bag And tie it up and sell it to them So when they would get home they would discover The piglet that they thought they bought when they opened the bag was a cat Thus they let the cat out of the bag. Thus the expression Discovering something you've revealed. I've deceived you. Yes You can't out of the bag I'll probably have to research that make sure all that's true same thing with decimate When you use the word you know about decimate, right? That's a Roman term Am I supposed to answer this one or not? Like deaths a yes. Do you know what decimate is? It wasn't rhetorical. No, no, no, no, it's not a yes or no Decimate is related to decimal. Correct So decimals a little dot on a piece of paper and decade So it's you're getting close if you decimate somebody you've destroyed them for 10 years Very good Very close. So decimate meaning 10 the second related to decimal in decades a number So when you would decimate a A unit say like centaurians and things of that nature of that time the in the military units They've acted very cowardly and something of that nature. They would line them all up A Roman legions and they would count one Two well-picking three They'd go on until they get to the 10th guy And the other nine had to beat him to death And then they start counting again one two three You get to the 10th guy His other ninth comrades had to beat him to death And so by definition they would do this to decimate a military unit They would do this until they decimated them. They were one-tenth of them were killed off Just expressed their disdain for that unit's cowardness And so we use the term decimators in something that's completely destroyed But decimating a unit was only one-tenth by definition. Hmm. There you go. That is interesting. That is interesting Just I need to verify that I sometimes you say things on here that are very interesting then I look them up and you're completely wrong name something Just several Every podcast Not true Maxwell get on there actually Jerry who what who what all the time all the no but if you have an example you don't have it I can because it's every one basically that that makes no sense logical sense Okay, because if it was everyone there would be one that you could pop off top. I don't have a memory So I can't remember I think that you keep telling yourself. I'm no you're wrong. Well, then a lot put something down. Okay. Let me do my research I will and I will argue it in the court of of appeal because it's like for instance Just because some rando person tells you I'm wrong You have called me out before and I have been extremely right. Oh Did you don't remember those? I can give you like the IMDB game. Yes. I remember that calling me out on that. There's tons of things I Yeah, remember I remember pepperage farm remembers and I remember Needless to say I have gotten sidetracked and I've learned it zero british slang So if anybody knows any words I can help me communicate with dan In the heaven, please send me an email board game snobs at gmail.com That's I don't know. Maybe they use old english. I'm sure they do in england Well, when they come to florida, do you think they suddenly turn into floridians maybe Hey bra That's what dan starts talking to you in floridian. That's not floridian What does that? That's sound like jamaican. You sound like your a bra. No bra is like beach surfer dude. No, they're not You don't think so. Uh-huh breath Uh-huh. That's no that's different from what you said. You said bra Yeah, that's very supportive person britch Bruh and bruh, I'm not saying thing. I'm the kind of are they are not I think they are You think a lot of things you can provide no evidence for it. You need to realize that you thinking something does not mean anything Bruh bra versus bra bra went out for a long time ago people stopped saying that I don't know that they have they don't say bra. They say bruh. What's the difference between bro bra bruv? Which is british that is british writing that down bruv and breh breh the only difference is the vowel I don't need to know the word. We need to know that the nomenclature behind it Hmm Let's see here language Jones dot com says bruh bruh bruh bro This is just like somebody's editorial opinion I don't know. I don't know. That's interesting Maybe it's uh all I know is they said it on fast and fair it's too fast too furious bruh I don't even get me around here. No more bruh. We ain't gonna be hungry. No more bruh He also said cuz a lot cuz cuz mm-hmm cuz Was that me your cousin? I'm sure i'm cousin Yes, I'm sure it's short for cousin I don't know why you call people cousin I think maybe you call people cousin Because it's familial So it's like Not super close family, but i'm familiar with you. We are close But we're not like You know immediate family related so you're my cousin board game bruh board game cuz cousin Mm-hmm. That doesn't make any sense That's become very popular based on that show the bear Which is about a restaurant in chicago and they call each other cousin all the time. They're very they call each other chef the true chef all right chef also cousin. I'm gonna start calling everybody chef I'm gonna start calling everybody cousin. I'm gonna start calling everybody chef. Sorry chef You have to be a chef to be called chef. No those people aren't chefs who is in the kitchen They are not sitting there designated spot. They're not like licensed or been trained as chefs. They're just in a kitchen Well, that's why cousin we better. Well, no, but that sounds weird. You don't have to be a licensed cousin You just by cousin. No, you have to be by birth. There's a genealogy. You can't just call somebody your your cousin They don't call them their cousin. They call them their cousin. No cousin. They don't call them their cousin That's stupid that is not that is literally not your cousin But they're like they grew up together in college of the cousin No, I don't don't believe that. I don't think that's right. You should not be do that If you're doing that you should stop doing that I don't know anybody that does it other than I know that's made popular by that show That is probably a show trying to start something that we need to stamp out right now We do not let these social contagions take place or everybody's when we call them self cousin. What's up cousin? No, you're not you're you are not my family Distant or otherwise You are not my family yearns to be part of a family. Well, then they should procreate That's hard. That's just what if they can't procreate. I don't know Then they should con so it was adopted people family by legally. Yes Just saying legally and genealogically. Yes, I think you can be family without being blood related. Do you think so? Yes So you just decide this person's in the family. So if you friends are the family you choose Here's the thing if you say this person is my cousin Does that make them the cousin to the other people in your family? You have just declared that their family does the rest of the family get a vote They could be your cousin. Oh, so they're just yours specifically depends on how you feel about it. I don't know That's weird and besides I don't just like people saying fam. They say fam. I don't say fam. I say fam. What's up fam? No, I don't say fam. That's stupid. That's one of those acronyms that should not exist. It's not even acronym. It's shortened. Yeah, but cuz No, see, I don't like anything. No, none of those. I don't like I don't like I'll come right out. I'll take this stance It's not fine. It's stupid. I hate it when people shorten a word Oh, well, you're wrong there. I hate it. You're so wrong. No because you ruin language that way Welcome to the new world. No, that's exactly what's happening. I know with the times. No, I'm stopped I'm saying no, I will not You're fighting a losing battle I'm not losing the battle because I'm not participating in this stupidity. You lost the war already then No, I've not lost a war because I've not been converted. We should just continue with this sash later See, I'm about to say that you say we're sash and that's your mom made up thing The reason the reason I don't like it is because people like you make up weird stuff and act like it's oh, it's all the sash What about this? Fam that stuff's insane and you're butchering the language and years later people go listen back And it's just like what is it? No, it's not no years later. They won't even be speaking. Yes, they will but we're speaking in acronyms No, they won't omg We have to keep this going for the will of fortune Huh? Yeah pat sajak. He finally retired, but they weren't using those slang terms over there. Oh yeah, round secrets took over I don't like him He's fine. He's just generic I like him nothing about him. That's interesting. There's nothing about him. That's interesting I don't like people too. I can't trace where they came from What do you mean? I mean like they just show up and all of a sudden they're famous. Oh He was a radio DJ, right? I think so, but it's like Brian C. Chris. It was literally like when you remember Seinfeld They Seinfeld got to go off the air and all of a sudden Ray Romano everybody loves Raymond just showed up Who was I didn't know Seinfeld before Seinfeld exactly and I didn't like that either Because to be honest jerry was not that funny stand up comics right? Romano as a stand up comics. Yes, and I but have you ever heard any think about this have you ever heard any Ray Romano stand up. Yes when prior to prior to everybody loves Raymond No, not prior to exactly. That's what I mean You find me a Jerry Seinfeld prior to Seinfeld. Oh, there's lots of Jerry Seinfeld on you prior to Seinfeld. Yeah, no You could YouTube it. I don't want to it prior to him coming out before before it's on YouTube You know, it's interesting though. You said about Ray Romano I bought a CD Ray Romano stand up and I listened to it. This was literally 20 years ago As I said CD. Yeah And I was like, oh, it's pretty funny I don't know. It was just such a weird air in my life where I was like really into everybody loves Raymond I bought a Ray Romano stand up CD And I was just really into Ray Romano for a while I have no idea even existed until everybody loved Raymond went off and nobody cared about everybody loves Raymond until Simon It was a huge hit. It was massive huge, but it was after Simon it filled the gap that Seinfeld Was yeah, and something that My wife said my wife She She enjoyed the show, but then eventually he's like all they do is yell at each other. Yeah, just no chemistry And His brother was just funny because he touched things to his chin before you ate him Yeah, and he's I don't like it when they make people like they give you like a forced quirk Well, I hate to tell you this Seinfeld was nothing, but every episode there was a force quirk Not like touching things unnecessarily. Are you kidding me? What are you? Pick an episode From cutting candy bars with forks from taking your clothes That was the specific thing for that episode every single epic then so here's what's worse So He has a quirk that lasts the entire show since they introduced it Every Seinfeld quirk is for that 23 minute episode and then you never hear about it again George taking his shirt off when he goes to the bathroom cutting candy bars Chlorine can't Lorraine she can't dance Elaine can't dent all these things all these things they pick one quirk They bring it up. That's it. Don't like that. That was good. No, it was awful. I don't like that at all But it would and here's the thing No, I'm not wrong. Here's the thing. Are you ready for this? Family guy does the exact same thing you could write down random things throw it into a hat and pull out An adjective a random person and a thing and there's the joke and in flash. There it is. There's that cutscene cutscene They do the exact same thing in animated form that Seinfeld does. It's just quick quirky Hogs except there's this one liner type thing Whereas Seinfeld at least had the decency of running it through the episode That's my thing. I don't know if I like that and don't know. I'm sure we have quirks You do but it's not forest I don't but I don't understand your point. I don't either. Okay, good. I'm glad but I'm glad that you just you made this comment regarding quarks Which makes works. Yeah, it makes me think you ran the bar. It's exactly what I snagged on deep space Which was a great show by the way. They should have brought him back They've missed so many opportunities to start track to bring back everybody that was great Yeah, they haven't brought him back here. They haven't bought anybody back up but decent besides the old crew of next generation They took him for like three seasons to get there Which was awful Absolutely awful that they do that and quite frankly probably shouldn't have it's a precarious Another example of them trying to bring something back that just let it leave it be There was some fine points about that last season the last season was Was it mostly nostalgic though? It was that there were some fine things about it It could have been way better if they had actually thought that out in the first season rather than going We're gonna have the show We'll put the old guy in it and then we'll put in to introduce all these new people that nobody cares about And why did they not bring back Wesley? It's had him come for a brief period portal fella I don't like him. He just like dropped off. I don't like him, but I wish they would done him around I don't know that he's doing anything right. I hope he does. He's important to the industry Even though he's even though he's not light. That's fine He's not a lot of people don't like him. I really don't care one way or the other I don't care one way. I wish the crusher was annoying to me. Wesley crusher. Here's what they should have done I'm going on this round of me. I know you have I'm on this very podcast. Tell me. I don't remember All right, so you're gonna hear it again. Okay, Wesley crusher the whole thing should have been him getting in the star fleet academy Going the star fleet all this mess and then what you do the last season Tell him off. Yes, you have this like his dad before exactly you have this this this thing where Jack Picard and Beverly are hooking up They're becoming a thing. They were they're becoming a thing And then here's Wesley. He comes in. He's on the ship and then something happens and one of you have now the writers You got two choices. You can go all right. Are we gonna be making movies and we need Patrick Stewart So he can't die because realistically the most moving thing would be would be for Patrick Stewart to die Saving Wesley That would be the most moving thing because hair he was there when Jack died now He's sacrificing his life to save Beverly son that would be the most moving thing That would have got would have got you deeply in the fields. I tried to do all this in Picard Yeah, but instead Did no all right with nobody likes Wesley But we're gonna make him a halfway likeable character and he's gonna sacrifice his life for Picard somehow And then there you go redemption and Beverly now is like I hate you because you killed my son in Picard They should have did it were instead of he instead of jack per card or whatever Was british guy Who I didn't understand. That's what really bothered me. I didn't understand a word of him just because of his accent What if I get there like middle understand Dan? What do people can't understand you? That's true. I have sign language I can get my point across. Oh, yo, they'll talk slightly louder Talk slowly. It's slightly louder Just talk louder that was But no what we about to say They brought in this other son that Picard and Beverly had together right I would be They should have brought in Wesley and just had the reveal that Wesley was Picard's son all along But they did because he's cheating on this. Oh, and he should have felt Jack died because he was with Beverly at the time or something Oh That was good. That would have been like Games of throwning Picard Games of thrown because oh Everybody would have to deal with that to be like oh Wesley's like oh That that would change your whole outlook on Picard because he's floorandering. He's out there. Yeah It's like oh man. That's not such a good guy. Hey, well he yeah made a mistake made a mistake and he never made a mistake Oh, well pardon me mr. Perfect I guess I forgot that you never ever make a mistake Can't help my son's a loose shut up Wesley That's talking to his kid. It makes sense. This was true. That Wesley was his kid. He took that oh Yes, you have touched upon something. That's why Wesley. He laid him on the bridge. He wasn't even an instant He's letting him fly the plane. He didn't fly the amperage a 15 year old Like you're like you're that you're the instant. You're the helmsman Galaxy class starship You the helmsman and the mayonnaise And then you get to go and he gets him into he gets him it he got him off the hook when he killed that guy in the academy Wesley was Picard's son We did not know that till just now You have opened my eyes to that and then he just went away He came the traveler and went away. Yeah, that was weird. Which is basically he became like Q Yeah, that was yeah, I didn't care for Q is Q was weird. I didn't care for that part. I don't like Q. Be honest. I liked Q in the old days But this bring back. Okay. Look, we've discussed Star Wars last episode We're back on Star Trek this episode. Let's talk about the sky team. I was thinking about the sky That's what got me going. So sky team Now it's not a lot of people don't know this thing. Take can't take the sky from me It's sky team It's it's all firefly Sky team and then in little small letters below it prepare for landing I like I think that maybe the name of this game was going to be prepare for landing And then they're like, no, we need to something catchy because that's two and they're like, well, we'll do sky team That's a terrible name for a game. That doesn't sound because Does that translate to something? I've never heard that phrase until this guy team. I know It's a weird maybe everything else was trademarked and copyrighted like meeple This was going to be meeple playing or something pilot and co-pilot pilot and co-pilot stupid How about it? It's it'd be like flight team flight team is flight team is what you would call it Yeah, like crew flight crew or something of that nature, but maybe all those were taken and they're like, what's another synonym? Well, the crew is taking what's a homonym for that? homophone homophone sky team So thus prepare for landing. This is a co-op two player game by luke remond Which plays in 20 minutes? That is a dice placement game where two players Secretly discuss what they're going to do secretly. I don't know who they're secretly discussing it with But then they roll the dice Behind their screens so that nobody can see what their dice are and then without speaking They place their dice out onto this board And on one half of the board is the pilots section of the board the other half of the board is the co-pilot And basically what they're doing is trying to put dice out there and manipulate the various little um Tracks and other levers on this game to be able to land a plane very safely Onto a runway There are tons of little mechanisms that I find very interesting in this game for instance the whole mechanism of this game being simply Here are these two little things these what would you call the plane and the the airport little paper things that are sliding down They're like, what does this call them tracks? That's what they look like, but they're not tracks They they they're placed on the board and you slide them under like they're As you're slowly getting closer to the airport and you're slowly coming to the point where you're going to have to land your altitudes getting lower and lower and lower So your altitude goes down lower each time. So basically after seven turns your plane is going to have to land And so you have the distance to the airport that's coming at you and on there there are other little planes That you have to get out of the way and the way you do that is by Figuring up the distance from your plane to them and then radioing in With the dice saying hey get them out of the way That's a neat little touch move get out the way and then if it isn't ludicrous enough the Co-pilot is the one primarily having to do that, but also he's having to raise the flats Which he has to do so in order So he has to put either a one or two dice here or two or three dice here and so forth and so on While the pilot's over here trying to get the landing gear down placing these various specific dice in their spot And so all as you're managing your dice There's also one little section of the board right in the middle that makes the game and it's the neat little dial that shows the Which you call that the bat not the balance the leverage the the Looks like the thing that you always see on planes a little bubble where it's staying smooth and straight What does that call not the altimeter? That's something different so latitude No, latitude and longitude your place. This is your uh, uh, Not your pitch and y'all What is that call? That's the whole bubble thing that shows the plane being if you're if your wings are not lopsided You know i'm saying i know what you're talking about I can't think of the term as you're as you would say In the south you're trying to keep the plane plume trying to keep it balanced And so what you have to do is a pilot you have to place one dice on one side and the co-pilot has to place another dice And the difference between those two dice that's what's direction the plane is going to pull So you both want to put a dice that's even and sometimes the plane gets lopsided and you got to straighten it back out by and it's Crazy because you can't talk to each other And then the speed you're putting dice here and if you bake it too fast and you overshoot it then the plane goes too fast You run into other point. There's a lot of little bitty neat little things going on that where you're manipulating in this game axis Let's go for that And allies And so when you're playing this game we played the first little basic game and we won And I was like this was easy, but I enjoyed it Let's play the next step up And then that's when the game just turns on itself where there's Various different difficulty levels all these little bitty modules that you can add in And it takes the game to a whole new level Which adds in random planes and different managing your fuel and the wind speed and it's it gets great Absolutely phenomenal game. This game is going to win spilled yards. I believe so. I like it Sirly who is this luke rudmond? What else has he made? Who are you? What has he made? Luke rudmond has also made lava land never heard of it farm and furious never heard of it splito Never heard. Oh, yeah, heard of that plumage Miyameo these are all games from sound sound which we cannot pronounce correctly sky team and fruto play Okay. Well, he nailed this one. I've heard a split though. They gave that away for free at BGG. I have that But this is great and I don't like co-ops They're really really like this game. I don't like co-ops at all Like very few co-ops would I like? That I would go. This is something that I would I would play. We played this multiple times in a row I thoroughly enjoyed this game. Yeah And I like the fact that one I you can't alpha game it because you can't talk can't talk and it's very much That little mandatory section in the middle is it kills you it's so Difficult and like a lot of times you're afraid to put something out there because You don't know what your partner has Of course you could what I generally tried to do in that area was just put out something I mean, you know a three or four. It's not too far for me either thing It's not going to be extreme but the coffee that you can mitigate your dice with plus or minus one was A nice touch. It's got a couple of re-rolls in there. So those things help you out. That is the basic one As soon as we added that wind direction or the the wind Yeah, we crashed got hard and there's several different modules. There's several different airports There's got a whole campaign to it. I just ran it. It's so simple. It's such a you literally you have four dice you place Yeah, that's it. That's it It's really really fun. I like this game. I do too and I was not if it doesn't win the spiel I'm over the spiel What's the spiel with flight team? It's a canadian game apparently or leaves are based out of canada Oh, maybe they're up in brew now's neck of the world published by lascorpion The scorpion mask ma yeah Yeah, I really like this game. I do too. I am. I'm very very pleased with this two thumbs up from bg board game snobs and I don't even like co-ops Man, I just don't like co-ops hardly you don't like co-ops You don't like pick them deliver and yet we have played two games that are games that I particularly those mechanisms I'm not fond of and we have found the exception, which is what I'm always looking for I'm always looking for the exception exceptional games that are ones that I go I don't like this mechanism I've not had that fun with this type of game, but find something that does it right and this is one of them I really like sky team. It's the pro 2003 game I would say 2003 yeah, I was publishing thing in 2003 believe 23 I keep saying three. I mean 23. You know what I'm Figured I know but I keep I keep everything's to 2004. What's this year? 22 and 23 I don't you know because I'm you saying oh 304. Uh-huh. Yeah, and it's stuck in my head I kind of say 23 24 is published in 24. We should do that, but that would be shortening You like shortening. I like shortening. What about cake? you know cake What people I think people dislike icing. Hmm But shortening cake. I think people like I I don't think they dislike the actual cake Is cake referring to the everything the icing and the cake. Yeah, but when you refer to it Why do you separate if you said I made a cake for you, but there are cake without icing That's true, but if you put it on there, it's part of the cake I you don't say I brought some cake and icing on there and sue you and to your point Do you know anybody who likes cakes that aren't iced? I do what chocolate? I want to just eat a chocolate cake without icing. Well That's different. What do everybody eats chocolate? I'm saying like just regular cake basically just bread No, I mean if it's a good enough cake and it's moist. I know but people don't typically It's like super people people do like icing. I do. I mean, I appreciate a good icing myself But if it's a good cake, it doesn't need icing But some cakes my mother and I used to make an apple cake and she put and it was real good But it also had the icing on there. So icing on the cake. I mean, it's a phrase. It's what makes it better Yeah, I'm pro cake obviously because everybody is But it's also one of those things that you just typically don't make a lot of I'm a brownie guy probably because cake is so calorie-filled I prefer brownies to cake. You bring me a brownie. You bring me a cake. I don't like pick one I'm going brownie. I won't go brownie. I think brownies are um Brownies are I think you kind of pigeonhole yourself into having a one type of brownie There's not that much deviation in brownie. Whereas cake red velvet large variety There's a large variety of cake. You can go crazy with a cake There's ice cream cake. My wife just made a lemon cake the other day from father. I love lemon and uh Don it was delicious. Come on cake. You're great She put We had juiced some lemons And she put like instead of adding the water to the cake she added the lemon to the cake the lemon cheese It was quite tasty And it had very little it just had a glaze. Yeah, you don't it's almost non-existent. Yeah, you don't It's really good. I'll strawberry. You know what? I do like cake. Yeah about to say strawberry cake is so broad You can do so many things with cake. You can chocolate vanilla. I don't like coconut I hate coconut german chocolate. I absolutely named after the germans. Don't like it It's not named after the germans. We've had this discussion a billion times and I love coconut I'm tired of hearing people hate on coconut. I don't like I don't know why people don't give me no shaving I don't know why people have this thing about coconut. I don't like people love coconut. They don't understand it Chad also agreed. They don't know what they're missing. Wait, it's the texture of the shavings. I don't like it The shavings. I don't like coconut shavings. Don't give me an almond joy. Don't give me anything like that They have nuts. Mounds don't I know i'm just saying is that coconut is a superior I don't even know what I would call it. It's not a condiment. It's a it's an additive Coconut coconut makes it a fruit Uh, I was thinking that it seems like it would be but there's no Seed in the middle. It has no seed Well, what it's not a vegetable. It's some sort of weird berry. It's a weird berry. I wonder Just like the berry. It listens to this paw. It's a weird berry. That's why we figured out berry's a coconut. Anyway Guy team Guy team is wonderful. I like it a lot.
