I was feeling much better on my left leg So I was trying to get Jerry to play pickleball. So me Bubba Jerry. We go the pickleball court in Rieke. I Hurt my right leg Worse than I did my left and I did not stretch, but I I've always been into this Forget what they call it. I Warm up. You're just warming your body up I thought that would be sufficient. It was not I immediately hurt my not immediately We played a game or two, but into the second or third game. I hurt my right leg That put me down because I was already injured on the left leg then my right leg I was down and out. I didn't go anywhere for a solid week. I would just sat in the chair for a week Which is fortunate. I don't truck drive anymore because that would have been difficult climbing in now that truck And I'm still hampered you all this is a few weeks in and my right leg still hurts It's still stiff I still feel it and I wear now this like compression thing and have another brace and I'm very upset. You're gonna put a different twist on it We're going to explore the lore and For some reason they take little bitty things And that don't make any sense and go that route and that's what I don't like about the acolyte Okay, number one. I haven't watched the most reason that we're recording this July 4th I haven't watched the most recent episodes. It's bad Apparently, I don't know if soul really has like mind-wiped this girl or not because the episode with the flashback All that was all flashback And it showed how that the twin may started the fire. Yeah Why did everybody die instantly from the fire? That's everybody knows that space which is Listen, what did kid yes, what did we do at Salem? They burned burn them at the stake a little bit of fire That's like the cross of life. She lit one five every one vampires one of those things You know what vampires. Yeah. Yeah, they can't handle the cross or garlic or sharp silver objects Witches can't handle flame no silver bullets is where wolves I said Oh, yeah, they're thinking of steak through the heart. Yeah, steak through the heart and you're too late Anyway, that fire episode was one of the worst episodes ever you think so One of the worst episodes ever. So the space which is can't handle fire Like the girl lit the fire killed everybody instantly and then is mad at her twin sister And she's mad at all these Jedi like they killed everybody they have we don't know I mean, that's what i'm saying unless we find out soul did so i started the fire What do you think? Oh, and then they managed to reignite like what it like it just hurt the starter engine in it Yeah, it just hurt the starters like That that was all for all right. Every bit of respect that you have for a light saber battle I somebody in a video once pointed out that the ultimate move that you can do with a lightsaber Is turning it off and turning it back on real fast So like when they're up against each other just turn on step. Yeah, so Is it kind of I mean that's what best car does it can handle white saver shots. It might be it could be It's a sith best car of some sort. I don't know so Where was I going with that? You have these protagonists and the antagonist there are these twin sisters and one's going around killing the lady from the matrix And hand-to-hand combat type stuff. It's Jedi master. Here's the thing That's fine. If you establish that she has gone she hates the Jedi and she's being trained as this acolyte with the Sith guy That makes perfect sense. Okay, that's fine. He's she's basically the darth mall of of this series But then they do some stupid stuff like they're going to arrest the other guy like they've mistaken Identity to her because they're twins and they can't tell them apart like they don't have DNA That's the thing about this star wars. It's it looks very futuristic like they should have all this Technology They can't tell this they brought the bartender with them that was like survived the flies And then there's just a bunch of other little things that they do that makes zero sense She cut her hair with that lightsaber. I am the only person that thought that was fine Like everybody else is it's having a hard time. Here's what they need. Here's what star wars destiny. They completely discredited whoever the The solanist was just honest. Yes They're like, oh, what'd you do? Just cut it with the saber. Yep, that's what it did She may have spent hours on the hairdo and then may just like bam. Here's what star wars needs And what it's always to be left alone. No, no, here's what it needs every single one of star wars need the same thing It needs What I would call a cringe editor It's somebody Who's a fan of the lore? Who's in touch with this the good old people of the world that when you do something they go that's really cringy Like and I think those people exist because somebody went and said, hey, all right We're going to do Kylo Ren and his lightsaber. It's going to have the it's going to have the guard sidebar things and someone went Why and they go well because this and it looks like he looks like a knight and they go, okay. Well, yeah, okay But then Stuff like the helmet headbudding helmet all your weird dialogue Things that just don't make sense. That's what the cringe editor guy does is you know what? I think they would know we should cut this out Show them rather than tell them why we have so much dialogue of people walking around Why do we introduce these characters and then we instantly kill off the most interesting characters? Why are we why do we that's all that that star wars needs to go? How close can we get to being cringy until it's until it's not but it's cool and interesting But we've invented something and done something different And that's not hard. I just don't think that they've they've you got the originals I liked the sequels. I know most people did not No, but I still didn't they still weren't the originals. It's like you have the originals The reason they were good George had lightning in a bottle He had he had his one editing editing for him the best at best The best actors Yeah, the best actors go ahead the best actors You I mean you had freaking Harrison Ford Princess nobody could copy those actors right Luke was he wasn't a great actor. He was an annoying I would say that even in the Mando, but the Mandalorian doesn't have good actors Mandalorian is a guy with a mask and it's like you're you're nobody watches the Mandalorian Well, I know but I'm just saying that that original trilogy was just like this thing that happened And it cannot be copied or repeated or gone back to again, even though they keep trying I would I would argue that they're not trying I think that's the mistake that everybody keeps saying is that they're trying to re they're not They're purposely trying to make a star wars for this generation as even if you look at the tonal change from the prequels that was George had complete control over that George had nobody stopping him. He made what he wanted to make with the prequels and they're completely different in tone from from the originals and it's because The group that was making them that had the vision Saw this is what we're going to do and with the prequels George was like, I really like this This the graphics the CGI the lights the Lucas studios. He loved this and here's what we're going to do I'm going to make this spectacle and don't worry about the dialogue. We'll figure that out and and and He cast amazing actors To go Okay, and gave them nothing to work with and now we look back upon him and go man. This is cheesy This is this is very cringy because he didn't have an editor. He didn't have his wife That was the editor for the original star wars sitting there going listen, honey What happened? Do they get divorced? Yeah, they got divorced And she was like considered to be like there were stories about the original star wars movie being Like unwatchable They shot so much it was and she edited to make it make sense and that was like the thing She there were people Backing him up when he didn't hate when he was not George Lucas And then when he became George Lucas and he had this vision nobody said George really You're not an island onto yourself. The original was due to All these other factors plus we're in a different time period where you're making a different type of series, which he did The the sequels they're made for a newer audience. It's very obvious. They were not trying to make star wars They were trying to make a star wars for this generation. You know what else they need to stop Stop it the wipes That's that go into next stop. It looks just so cheesy now It's so cheesy. Nobody does it That was a thing for the 70s and they worked in those movies Don't try to do it because that star wars just stop it. We can just I fade out fade black to the next scene. I don't have problem with the wives They are looking incredibly cheesy to me. I think that's fine I mean, it's not that transitional thing that what what what looks cheesy is when you establish lore or You establish somebody's strength Such as in this previous episode where the little goofy alien dude Defeats the protagonist or the the the antagonist like she's she's killed jedi Masters and this little bitty alien dude. That's three and a half lit tall defeats her in like a The most recent episode And it's and it's like wait a minute. Are you talking about the guy that was sniffing everything in the one episode? Yeah, that's so that's like wait a minute. That doesn't make any sense Why do you have to and so it's again a cringe editor somebody that goes? Hey, the same person that was going george know this line is these lines are stupid. Let's cut them out Let's do this. Let's take another take to What are you people doing like like you don't have a cohesive story? Why are you ruining this when you could just make mild adjustments and it'd be a really good show It that's what that's the thing that I think that upsets me I think the acolyte is right behind boba fit in terms of being the worst star wars I think the acolyte had potential Well, it's like I don't know why they didn't just go with the darth main story and make those books They just want into a show because the books are amazing I know they would ruin it in the show probably obviously with what they're doing nowadays but this I can't I can't it's terrible. You know what I did watch so and we're about when you did this episode quiet place Day one really good. It's not great. It's a prequel. It's not as good as they are in Order Number one is the best can't be touched. Number one is attending me blue my mind The last scene where he screams I cry every time and then part two Really good. I think number two is better than one. Really? Yeah, and here's why Okay, and then part three. I like part What they did were part three For me that I like so much that movies an hour and 40 minutes. Mm-hmm. It's just bang bang Money grab and they did a fan. They go directly into it They established New York City is a live bustling city Everything gets shut down. They start the monsters You can bridge I prayed to high leaned over to sharday about 20 minutes into it I said this is how it's going to end with these characters I was everybody can do it. Yeah completely predictable. Yeah. Yeah, it still works. That's a money grab They know what to put out. It also helps that you have Lupita and eddy from Stranger Things. I don't know his name Yeah, I was a little bit unsure of whether or not he could actually do anything other than eddy because Everybody was crazy about eddy and straighten your thing. I loved him. I thought he was good He's a good actor. Yeah, he's really good and apparently he's like an glad eater too in Fantastic for in like first one hot thing when Jim from my office died Why did he not just take a shoe off? He's standing there you need and that that that that is literally what I said out loud when I watch that scene He signs to his daughter. He loves you and then screams The moment he died take your shoe off and throw it which is what they do in the third one a lot They're throwing stuff. So it's like what like this is this is basic video game the last of us every thing ever To get the attention of the guard you throw a thing Why are you not throwing a thing? Also, why are you not living next to that waterfall? Right There are inconsistencies that like like How can these things have such? Hypersonic hearing whatever you call it, but they don't hear your heartbeat or breathing Apparently they can hear your heartbeat. They just confirmed that I read it hard I really it was somebody because I didn't hear all the people's heartbeats They were super close to in this movie. They were a lot. Maybe they could maybe they were doing deep breathing Anyway, I don't know. There's some things about is that what your issue with part one was somebody like part two No part two was just a better story like it had it had a harder job to pick up on like part one Yes, it was very I there's there's don't get me wrong. It's a great show But part two had to take an already established lore With characters and go, okay, how do we go from here? How do we make these people compelling? How do we build upon it? And it's it's harder It's much harder to build off something and not ruin it as it is. This is to start something As it is this ago. All right, we got these monsters. I can't see but they hear really well and they're everywhere and and we're just doing this thing This was very much the second one of We've got to make this story make sense. We've already established these rules Here's how we're going to do it. And it's just it's a much better film It's a much better feel. I like part one better That you like I think like well, but because it's it's I mean you could say it's the start Well, it's like I've never seen this before this was a very interesting take I will never I'll never forget just sitting in theater and hearing people chew them like And you could hear everything. It was so weird And then part two I guess I kind of knew what to expect, but yes, the story was really good But yeah, that's a good it's a good franchise all together. Yeah, and this prequel wasn't I'm not I haven't seen it But I'm not expecting anything from it. All right. Well, that's gonna do it for this episode All right, I'm done. I'm looking at you.
